Morning by Morning, October 21, 2025 – “Seek First”
Good morning, Lord Jesus. I look to You and listen for Your Spirit — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of God. ...
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).
First thing in the morning, I seek You first.
I look to You. I wait for You. I listen for You.
First things first. And You are first. You and Your kingdom and Your righteousness.
You are the King of the Kingdom of God. You are the One who sets things right with You, right within me, and right with my relationships with others in the righteousness of the Kingdom of God.
Then, as I seek You first, as I put You first, You add all these things to me. You add to me peace and love and joy. You add to me protection and provision. You add to me favor and blessing and honor. You add to me open doors and opportunities. You add to me what I need and when I need it to live out the Kingdom of God in my heart and through my life.
For “the Kingdom of God is within (me)” (Luke 17:21). “For the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17).
So come, Holy Spirit. Keep lifting my eyes and my heart to the King of the Kingdom of God, putting my King first — first in my morning, first in my life, first in all things. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
