“Come to Me.” - Morning by Morning, October 30, 2025
I hear in my heart, “Come to Me.” ...
“Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live” (Isaiah 55:3).
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30).
Freshly written and sent out immediately "morning by morning" from the morning prayer time of Tommy Hays each day.
God bless you and you have a great day!

Morning by Morning, October 30, 2025 – “Come to Me.”
Good morning, Lord Jesus. I lift up my heart to You, as I’m watching and waiting for Your leading. ...
I hear in my heart, “Come to Me.” ...
Yes, Lord. ... To “Come” is a choice. To “Come to (You)” is a destination. To “Come to (You)” is a focusing of the center of my attention. To “Come to (You)” is to draw near to You. And Your Word promises, if I draw near to You, You’ll draw near to me. “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8).
And now Your Word comes to me, to confirm by Your written Word what I believe I’m hearing my heart as Your spoken word:
“Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live” (Isaiah 55:3).
To “Come to (You)” is to actively, intentionally, deliberately lean in with the ears of my spirit, to listen in with the ears of my heart, to “hear” Your voice and sense Your leading. It’s in this posture of positioning myself near to You, that the Words and Promises of the Invitation of Your Scripture come alive to me:
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27).
Leaning in and listening in the intimacy of this communion of trust and personal relationship is where You “know (me)” and empower me to “follow (You),” Lord Jesus.
And now Your famous Words come to my heart:
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30).
So by the power of Your grace, at work within me by Your Spirit, I “Come to (You).” I rest in You. I rest in the peace of knowing You and knowing You know me. I rest in the peace of knowing as I incline my ear and come to You, I will hear and follow and find rest for my soul to live in You as You live in me. Thank You, Lord Jesus. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
