“I Lift Up My Eyes to the Hills”—to the Source of All I Am and All I Do - Morning by Morning, November 10, 2025
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore” (Psalm 121:1-8).
Freshly written and sent out immediately "morning by morning" from the morning prayer time of Tommy Hays each day.
God bless you and you have a great day!

Morning by Morning, November 10, 2025 - “I Lift Up My Eyes to the Hills”—to the Source of All I Am and All I Do
Good morning, Lord Jesus. As I seek Your face—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—I seek to begin my day grounded in Your Word and filled with Your Spirit. ...
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore” (Psalm 121:1-8).
When I lift up my eyes to the hills, I’m lifting up my heart to You. When I lift up my heart to You, I’m acknowledging You as the Source of my help, acknowledging You as the Source of all I am and all I do. “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” (James 1:17).
You’re the Source of all I need, all I desire, all You’ve created me to be and all You’ve called me to do. You’re my “keeper,” my “shade,” my protector who “preserves” me through all my goings and comings, through whatever I persevere to overcome on my spiritual journey of You making me more like You each day, of You conforming me into Your image, as a son of God and disciple of Jesus Christ. Not just today. Not just right now. But “From this time forth, and even forevermore.”
So as best as I can and all by Your grace, I lift up my heart to You, I offer up my life to You, I offer up this day to You. “From this time forth, and even forevermore.” In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
