Morning by Morning, November 12, 2025 — Living “In the Spirit” by “The Spirit of Christ” Living in Me

Good morning, Lord Jesus. I rise to meet the day, as Your Spirit rises up in me—“the Spirit of Christ” in me. ...

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His” (Romans 8:9).

I do have “the Spirit of Christ” for “indeed the Spirit of God dwells in me.” All by Your mercy. All by Your grace. All because of who You are and because of all You’ve done for me.

Help me embrace this Truth. Help me see myself like You see me. Every day. Every moment of every day.

Help me resist every lie from the enemy of my soul that would try to get me to doubt my identity, to reject my gift, to accept something less or something limited from who You say I am and from what You say I’ve received.

Every day I can arise in Your Spirit and every day Your Spirit can arise in me. Every day I have the gift of God to live “in the Spirit” and not “in the flesh.” I can live in my God-given identity as a child of God, with “the Spirit of Christ” living in me.

You are the Son of God (Mark 1:1). And by You and through faith in You, I am a son of God (Galatians 3:26). “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God” (Romans 8:16). “For as many as led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God” (v. 14). And by “the Spirit of adoption” You’ve placed in my heart, “(I) cry out ‘Abba, Father!” (Romans 8:15-17)

This is who You are. And this is who I am. In Jesus’ name I pray.
