Morning by Morning, November 20, 2025 – “Be Aligned. Be Empowered.”
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Help me hear what You’re saying to my heart, as I begin my day embraced by my Father, centered in Christ, and filled with Your Holy Spirit. ...
As I wait, what I believe I hear is:
“Be aligned. Be empowered.” ...
Yes, Lord.
First be aligned with You. First be looking to You, living in communion with You.
Not first focusing on what I need to do. First focusing on You.
This attitude of focusing, this attitude or priority, this attitude of perspective makes all the difference.
“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, then all these things will be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33).
Seek. Then.
Be aligned. Be empowered.
Maybe another way of saying it, of hearing it, is,
“No alignment. No empowerment.”
Yes, Lord. I get it.
Now, Lord. I’m taking time to do it. To wait in the silence of surrender. To set everything else aside for these moments. To first come sit with You awhile.
As I do, You’re aligning me. You’re empowering me.
Though You are “with (me) always” (Matthew 28:20), You’re inviting me to consciously, deliberately, intentionally choose to be with You.
So here I am, Lord—being with You. Choosing this attitude in my heart. Making this time in my day—right here, right now—consciously, deliberately, intentionally choosing to be with You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
