Morning by Morning, December 3, 2025 – “The Bread of Life”

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Put Your thoughts in my mind, Your desires in my heart, Your words in my mouth. ...

“And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst” (John 6:35).

You are the Bread of Life. You are the Word of God.

As I “eat” of Your Word, as I abide in Your Presence, I become one with Your Spirit. You in me and I in You (John 15:4). “He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him” (1 Corinthians 6:17).

Increase my hunger for Your Word. Magnify my yearning for Your Presence. Remove every hesitation and hindrance from joining in this union with Your Spirit.

You said “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63).

Your Spirit gives life as I eat and take into myself Your Bread of Life, Your Spirit of Life, Your words of spirit and life, abiding in You as You abide in me. Drawing near to You as You draw near to me (James 4:8).

You said, “Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.... My Father gives you the true bread from Heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from Heaven and gives life to the world.... I AM the Bread of Life” (John 6:27, 32-33, 35).

Yes, Lord. Like those who first heard Your words said, “Lord, give us the bread always” so I say, “Lord, give me this Bread always” (John 6:34). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
