Morning by Morning, February 24, 2026 — Overcoming Regrets
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Be at the center of my heart and in the middle of every moment of my day. ...
Sometimes I catch myself thinking of the regrets of my past. Probably “regrets” are just a manifestation of past sins, past failures, past mistakes. But You’re always so kind to come to my rescue. You’re always so loving to remind me of Your mercy and love, Your forgiveness and grace.
In the battles of my mind against the accuser of my soul, You often speak into my spirit one of my favorite anchors of hope from the Word of God:
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
His mercies never come to an end;
They are new every morning;
great is Your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23).
Through repentance and prayer, You remove my regrets and reassure me of Your forgiveness of my sins. Through taking those thoughts captive and bringing them into submission to the obedience of Christ, You silence the voice of my accuser in the authority I have in the name of Jesus and the power of the blood of Jesus (2 Corinthians 10:3-5; Revelation 12:11).
Thank You for Your steadfast love. It never ceases.
Thank You for Your mercies. They never come to an end. They’re new every morning.
Thank You for the gift of repentance and prayer, such a powerful means of Your grace, that renews a right spirit within me and restores unto me the joy of my salvation (Psalm 51:1-12). Great is Your faithfulness! In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
