Season's Over Go Home
What's up everybody? Jarrell here. Premier League is over 38. 38 match weeks up 38 down. We are officially over. We have Crown Liverpool champions. We know our relegated teams. It's, it's done. We go into the summertime. All that's left is is Champions League finals. We are the football fellows. I'm Jarrell, it's running solo today, so it'll be a brief podcast. We'll run through the scores. We'll run through UCLA little bit and we'll talk about what's coming up in the next coming weeks. We do have a couple socials. We have our Instagram, we have our Blue Sky, we have Twitter the football fellows at all of those, we have emails. The football fellas@gmail.com, but let's go ahead and and get into it. We did have the Women's Champions League final arsenal versus Barcelona. Arsenal did get a trophy this year. Didn't come from the men's side, it came from the women's side. A one zero victory for Barcelona. And Bara does not get the three-peat. Arsenal, gets the trophy North London forever. Our salon, something to be proud of. The German Cup final, we had Stu Gart and Feld. Stu Gart won two zero. They won the PO call cup in the Ger over there in Germany, and we had championship promotion. Playoff. If you caught this one, this was actually exciting. Sheffield, United versus Sutherland. Sutherland gets a late winner sending them into the top flight. Newcastle has their arrival. Again, after 10 years, there will be a rivalry. Northeast England, so that's exciting. Welcome to the league. Sutherland Burnley and Leeds also joined them. They finished one in two. Leeds was one, Burnley was two, I believe in the championships. So we'll have Burnley leads and Sutherland all promoted for the 25 26 campaign. Chelsea also won a trophy. They played in their Euro Conference league. They beat Al Bettis four one. It was looking really close and in the first half, Al Bettis had to lead one zero. Chelsea found the second gear in the second half and put up four unanswered scores. So Chelsea or the first team to win Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League. So they've, they've collected the UFA Infinity Stones. So congrats to Chelsea on that one. Let's go ahead and break into match Day 38. A lot of games mattered, some more than others, but it was still an exciting week for everybody. The cherries and Lester City cherries win two zero over the foxes. The foxes were unable to score, and that was the 18th time in this campaign that they were held to zero, and the foxes are on their way down to the championship league. Bourmouth finishes ninth. So a little bit of resurgence. They got back into the top half of the standings. Ham was blanked by Manchester City, Manchester City, needing the draw for this one, but ended up coming away with the Win Man City will return to the Champions League. And Fullham finished, I believe Fullham finished 11th for the end of this campaign. Yes, 11th place. Ipwich Town and West Ham, United West Ham was able to get the road victory. Three one dominant win. To be honest, Ipswich are on their way down to the Champions League, but they were able to get one goal before they headed out. Liverpool and Crystal Palace, double guard of honor guys, crystal Palace honoring Liverpool for winning the the league. Liverpool honoring Crystal Palace for winning the FA Cup. And hey, why not? Let's just split the points too in the last match. So chivalry is not dead. My friends Liverpool and Crystal Palace won one draw, split the points. Manchester United verse Aston Villa Controversial whistle blow going against Aston Villa. It appeared that the keeper was not it. Did not have control of the ball. The official blue, the Play Dead, which prevented Ashton Villa from scoring. It's very touch and go. It's like it's a bang, bang kind of moment. Really hard to really say definitively what happened. But pick your side. Ashton Villa fans are gonna be upset'cause that was their chance to go up. Men United fans are, happy that they got a clean sheet, but Men United ended up. I'm scoring two more times and ruining Villa's, champions League hopes. But Villa will go to the Europa League this year, they're still going to Europe so they don't have to worry about it. New Castle and Everton New Castle qualifies for Champions League despite their loss of one zero. For a moment there, if Ashton Villa held onto the draw, they would be, Villa would be in Champions league and New Castle would be out. But with Villa losing New Castle was able to secure their spot. They failed a fifth, but they still hold onto their Champions Leagues New Castle. Welcome back to the Champions League. Nottingham Forest versus Chelsea Nottingham Forest needing the win to give themselves a chance for Champions League. They do have European play, but they were not able to overcome the one zero deficit to Chelsea. So they go down at home, but they will be back in Europe. They will be in the conference league. They'll take Chelsea's spot this year, and they will compete for a European trophy, south Hampton and Arsenal. South Hampton got a, got a goal and it was tied for a while, but Arsenal put this one to bed. Two. One Arsenal did give Southampton the 30th loss of the campaign. 30 losses and 38 matches is pretty tough. South Hampton does not have the least amount of points in Premier League history, but I. They're, I think they definitely have the most losses. So really tough campaign for South Hampton. Tottenham Hoppers fresh off their European trophy going home against Brighton. Lose dramatically. They go up one zero in the beginning holding onto that lead. Brighton Open it wide open. Four one thrashing. Jack Henselwood gets a brace in this one and the wolves for sprint for, they split the points. Wolves were able to level late into the game holding Brentford two 10th, but they still made it to the top half of the table. So all that being said, 38 match days down. Let's talk, let's go through our standings. So one, we had Liverpool, congrats Arsenal two Man, city three, Chelsea, four, Newcastle, five. Those are champion league qualifiers through position. Ashton, bill six conference, not conference. Europa League qualification. Nottingham four seven. That's conference league. And then from there, Brighton at eight. Bournemouth at ninth. Brentford at 10. Fullham 1112 is Crystal Palace, who are also in the Europa League with their FA cup win. 13th is Everton. 14th is Westham United. 15th is Manchester, United 16th is Wol Ramped and Wanders. 17th is top Nim Hot Spurs, but they have a Champions League appearance. They're our sixth English team in the Champions League all the way from 17th Place. We'll get into that next week. 18th Lester City, 19th, Ipswich Town and 20th South Hampton. Lester City, Ipswich Town and South Hampton are. Our team is that will be leaving us. We bid them a due. We appreciate their time in the champion I'm sorry, in the Premier League. Moving on next week, we'll go over our power rankings from the podcast. See how we did some. Some, some guesses. We got pretty good. Other ones were way off. Looking at you forests. Big surprise this year, but we'll go over that next week. We also have Champions League tomorrow. Champions League is tomorrow and it's going to be Enter and PSG enter and PSG what Enter team we're gonna get. We're not entirely sure. Enter. For most of the campaign of the Champions League campaign has been really stringent on allowing goals coming through, but against Barcelona's banger after banger, and they conceded as well. And PSG is known not to let their foot off the gas either. So this is definitely a match that's worth it to watch. It's Italy versus France. If I had to pick, I, I, I. I'm leading intern. I'm not gonna lie. I, I like their style. I think they might come away with the trophy, but I'll be honest, I won't be mad if PSG wins. That's pretty much it for this week. Not a whole lot. I. To talk about. I'm not, I'm not joined by the full crew I won't hold you guys too long. But what we wanna talk about next week, we're gonna get into it, we're going to give our grades for the Premier League. We're gonna start from position 20 up to 16. We'll give you you guys our take on how we thought these teams performed in relation to everything that's going on. There's gonna be couple surprises. Cough, cough. Spurs being 17th of Champions League, so maybe my grade might be a little bit higher for them as far as European play, but we'll see what happens. So we're gonna go ahead and grade those teams. We'll give you the bottom five. And for the next couple weeks we'll be grading 5, 5, 5. Maybe we'll give out some awards, awards two to players or. Just accolades, acknowledgements to players or teams and stats even that came down the line. But that's what we'll be doing for the next couple weeks. We'll review Champions League next week as well. We'll talk about that match and, and we'll break, we'll break from there after our grades and rankings and, and we'll check in every now and again for club World Cup. It might not be a weekly event, but we'll, we'll keep you guys posted and, and transfer news. So look towards our Twitter, look towards blue sky for transfer rumors and information that may be coming out that way. Rumors are swirling now and teams are are already set and getting ready to gear up for the next campaign. All right, I been jel. This is football fellows. We will see you guys next week.
