The podcast nobody asks for
Christian:And we're rock, baby.
Jerrell:two
Will:return. Did we have a new
Jerrell:electric. No
Christian:you.
Jerrell:quality check. The quality
Christian:All our fans in the background
Jerrell:is quality. Even with our summer break, we've had
Will:Yeah.
Jerrell:steady stream listeners
Will:Just
Jerrell:locations.
Will:out all summer. shit was
Jerrell:I Summer
Will:rap party for the end of season one went real crazy. Two
Jerrell:World through and we're just like, it's break time.
Will:That I'm
Jerrell:It's
Christian:gone like we never left, baby.
Jerrell:break. Can't take a break, but we can.
Will:How you guys been.
Jerrell:Good, good lot of football, lot of local football, city and pride and then. Oh yeah. And then we had a gold cup too. There's been a lot. There's
Christian:It's been a lot of soccer. A lot of soccer to get into, a lot of soccer. To recap,
Jerrell:so let's get into
Christian:oh.
Jerrell:All right, we're back
Will:check. I
Jerrell:Season two, episode one.
Will:agenda of the, of the season where it's just kind of like, this is my tangent. But yeah. Here we go. So what, we had club World Cup over the summer, guys. How was that for you guys? How was the spectacle?
Jerrell:It wasn't,
Christian:Soccer. I, I really enjoyed the, the part where, just seeing other teams that's not European teams play on like a bigger stage. It's always fun to watch like the, the shit show that is South American soccer. And when shit show is just a lot of fouls, a lot of hardheaded football and it just fun to watch. So seeing shout out to the Brazilian teams that really put the, the continent on their back in order to show off what they got. And they were able to secure some, some transfers out to European League. Shout out.
Will:Richard Rios got transferred
Christian:Oh yeah, he's in Benca
Will:Look at that.
Christian:They, they, they, me. No long, they no longer hate each other.
Will:The world is healing
Christian:Oh, yeah. Rios got tackled on his first game and Menti was like attacked the person that attacked him. It was great. It was, it is the camaraderie that we need in South America.
Will:Damn. You love to hear it. So any, any chance you root for Argentina
Christian:Absolutely not.
Will:I had to, I had to. I just, I had to try
Christian:I just realized my, or in the shot. Alright.
Will:Oh
Christian:Yeah.
Will:was like, foot check. I can't wait to post this on on socials. Yeah. I was like, that's gonna go crazy. We're about to get so much fucking engagement. Why it sucks. Ooh, problematic. But yeah, there was definitely good show out. I, for the most part rest in Peace Auckland they got ano to start the tournament. I remembered that. But you saw some good performances
Jerrell:Take it a Trump
Christian:They, they draw it against a, a, a European team, didn't they?
Will:They did, they made some noise. I don't remember exactly who it was. It we're talking about June.
Christian:Yeah.
Will:something I lightly covered, but surprise winners. It looked like PSG were gonna roll through PSG continuing some of their UCL dominance made it to the final against Chelsea and then they got cleaned out by Chelsea 3.0 in MetLife
Christian:Yeah. That was crazy.
Will:Yeah. PSG ran rampant on real Madrid. Sorry Christian, I don't know how much you care since it's like a weird tournament, but it was just like a weird result where it's just oh, PS G's just gonna keep this going. But Chelsea quietly had a good tournament
Christian:Yeah.
Will:They were able to be flues flues made it deepest out of non-traditional powers in the tournament. It made it to the semis, but funds, fixtures all around. You had PSG by you had a rail, madrid, doman, rematched. So definitely some fixtures that like on paper were neat to see. But, didn't make it out to any of the games that were like local personally just
Christian:Played a few local matches in Orlando. Every time they played, I was not here. So
Will:yeah. They played in the
Christian:doxing.
Will:then a couple group stage as well. So drill race at City and Pride, I was just like if you have a keyboard but no, there, there, I think there was like some more games that were like, like fun to like catch and spurts, I think it was just a little bit of a, after the whole marathon of the season, it was just like, wow, we're here already.
Christian:Yeah
Will:shout out to Chelsea though for winning the first revamp club. World Cup four.
Jerrell:premier team to beat PSGI.
Christian:tell us.
Jerrell:I, yeah, I don't have
Will:Good. Oh, shit. That's crazy. All right, so I'll, I'll, I'll power through this. So we had England and Spain in the final, Spain won the last Women's World Cup, England rating. They wouldn't last euros, right? See, now you guys got me off here. I, I took small notes, but now I'm a little nervous.
Jerrell:England.
Will:England able to win on penalties in the final July 27th. So we are recording August 6th, 2025. We'll plug the socialist later. Beat Spain on penalties. A lot of drama on the England side. They beat Sweden also on penalties in the quarterfinals. They won 3, 2, 1 penalties with after a late equalizer in the 91st, if I remember correctly, against Sweden, tech game two one against Italy. And then were able. of work on some demons against Spain. I believe that was the last World Cup. I don't know, I could be wrong.
Jerrell:Yeah.
Will:beating, getting through on Germany one. Oh and Switzerland two, oh Germany, upsetting France and the quarter finals. But all in all, if you guys got a chance to catch some games, England, the England team games, you couldn't really go wrong with. Watching, especially the Sweden and spin games were games that had highlighted. But great tournament our viewership was up all around. Attendance was up all around. So definitely some fun stuff going on. And just if you get a chance during the season, a lot of soccer watching the women's leagues as well. It's just there's just high quality football played in so many different areas.
Christian:Yeah.
Will:Women's Zero, fantastic Tournament.
Christian:Speaking,
Jerrell:back to back. Euro
Christian:speaking of high quality, we also had the Copa America Women's recently, and
Jerrell:a fucking barn
Christian:it was, it, it was great. Just to recap the Copa America fina, they, it, it was, it was a lot of good talent. We got a team of the season that was sprinkled with Brazil and Colombian players. The final was between Brazil,
Will:continue to heal.
Christian:the final was between Brazil and Columbia. And it came down to penalties. It was just back and forth. Four four at, at the full 90 and straight to penalties of Brazil 1, 5, 4. You had an amazing goal from Mara. You had an amazing freaking from La Santos. It, it was, it was just a really good game, back and forth. It's, it's one of those that you, you, you can't be upset. And you had in Argentina coming in third place.
Jerrell:Yay. The Argentina shout.
Will:Is that some endearment? Christian? Holy shit. This is like the most positive You've been about South American countries that are in Columbia.
Christian:Columbia.
Will:the pod started. I love it. And we're eight minutes into season too. This is we're, it's all uphill from here. I love it. I can see the light coming in through your shades in the background, fresh linens on, in the, on your chair. It's great.
Jerrell:South America is united.
Christian:The Columbia football, Twitter was pretty funny because they had that Simpsons meme where like it slapped the back of the kid's head. And I was like, that's how you beat Argentina. But like to the men's
Will:Hmm.
Jerrell:Very nice. A lot of transfers. Transfers going crazy. Got a couple crazy, crazy Spent a lot of money
Will:It's Power six.
Christian:and here comes Will's cocaine corner.
Will:Oh yeah, guys. Alright. So
Jerrell:Transfer corner.
Will:fucking revamped over the summer. Trent Alexander Arnold, we covered that before we hit our little summer. Summer Siesta came in, Kelleher went out. Kwanza, he got moved out. Lucho Diaz went out for an insane amount of
Christian:Yep. Paid baby.
Will:within the last day or two also went out. But what's really impressive to me for Liverpool getting 75 million euros for Louis Diaz, who's what, 28, 29 Darwin Nunez going for 53 million. He is head to Al Hillel. He's about to go get some money. Meanwhile, I think Arsenal has done 6 million in outgoing so far this this off season. So I'm very confused. But Liverpool definitely revamped and strengthened their team. Spent some money they were able to bring in Milo to play left back played left back last, so last season from. I forgot if it was fort or burn myth. That's on me guys. I'm
Jerrell:Yes.
Will:Flooring. Verts, which looked like the biggest splash we'd see. Over the summer, they were able to bring him in for over a hundred million euros. He back at that, he was out of Iron Chair Frankfurt. They splashed on him to come play Stryker and maybe out wide. This is in the middle of their esoc kind of rumors. They put a deal out for over a hundred million pounds for Esoc. It was rebuffed by Newcastle. We'll watch that over the next couple weeks as ES o's trying to work his way up. Newcastle Newcastle's trying to make sure that they have a replacement ready for him. But Liverpool looking to spend another splash some more. Considering Marmarville, he's gonna complete that transfer. They spent the money last year loaned to out to Valencia in La Liga. He's gonna be coming over to add some competition Gonzal, who might be on his way out over the next like year or two. Jeremy Fong comes into. Replaced Trent Alexander Arnold, and they even get Will Wright. He's a strong prospect that was coveted from a couple of teams outta Alford. So Liverpool's just up right now. It looks like
Jerrell:Up here.
Will:to win the league last year off the strength of just kind of like, honestly that team that was built around Jurgen Klo and they win the league on when it looked like they, that cycle might've been done and they revamp and say, hold up, I got more for your head. Top Florian Verts going to Liverpool. Very scary.
Christian:It'd be super scarier if they do complete that esoc signing too.
Will:Yeah, Esau'cause I could think could play back of, he can play a little bit out wide as well. We'll see how it looks like. Verts, they got sold with ly, so a lot of creators there. Grabbing Birch that had a strong season last year in midfield for them as well. And for the most part, you lose some creativity for tr Alexander Ronald, but. And Jeremy Fong as well. Those pieces coming together, it's just like a little bit more dynamism and some defending. So we'll see. We'll see. We'll see how it goes. But Liverpool definitely splashed. I think the only other team who spent as much might have been Chelsea, if I remember right, they both
Jerrell:I got the stats right here. Yep. Liverpool, 252 million pounds, and Chelsea's 240 million pounds
Will:'cause Chelsea for our, I think they bought in 48 players in the last four years or some shit, which
Jerrell:48. Wow.
Will:is crazy. I think like when you do the look at like 48 signings back for Liverpool was Nathaniel Klein in 2015 and for Citi, I forgot who it was in 2014. I saw that I think on the athletic when I was like doing like my little, my little research for the pod, but Liverpool revamps keeping it going with who's in order. Second on the table first in my heart arsenal. Outgoing named Georg. Heads out heads out to South America, I think Ness, if I remember correctly. Ki Tierney, he's out. Thomas parte out. Their incomings are ke BGA, I fucked up his name, Martin Mendy. That deal was pretty much set from last year. Christian nor Guard, no Mosque re was finalized over the last two weeks. Christian was singing his praises in the pre, in the warmups today talking about how wonderful of a preseason arsenal I've had. But there's still interest in another midfielder and Wideman. I think they're working on some outgoings Jacob Kiwi or. Shanko pieces up in there. Race. Nelson's probably looking to be moved out at some point as well. Arsenal as well. Bringing in some dynamism. They bring in the nine. We've talked about. They ended up on Yoko's. Proven goal scorer. Christian, not high on him after his South Korean debut, but we'll see how it goes. Hopefully it gets, it's all uphill from here. But they're also still looking to revamp still on their left side a little bit. Get some more rotation. Opposite of the filling out the squad spending money. I think there's a little bit more work to do, but positive signs it looks like throughout the team. Where are you guys' thoughts on Arsenal? They're off season.
Jerrell:Winner, bust, trophy, or bust.
Will:The insight you come here for. I love it. Darrell, I miss you so much.
Jerrell:Yeah, I
Christian:I just went on a trophy.
Jerrell:They weren't stars. They, they were role players, so didn't really lose much going out. Jeremy was a lone player. He went back to Celtic parte, which was always rumored to have this, this charge against him for a while. They just let him walk and then the charge comes out. Did Arsenal know about it? Who knows? Whatever. Doesn't matter, but I feel like,
Will:pod.
Christian:Yeah.
Will:During the summer. We'll, we'll do it. We'll hit that eventually.'cause yeah, there is obviously like an obligation sometimes for these like clubs in power and whatnot, but that's a whole other thing. Keep
Jerrell:yeah. But some consensus as Zu Mendy is a, a good upgrade from parte. I like some of the signings. No guard of of course comes from Brentford, which is, older player. I think he's 31 Benford's captain,
Will:good.
Jerrell:Comes over to hold down the mid. Yeah,
Will:I think.
Jerrell:gives you depth you gotta be able to rotate your players and he's proven. So I'm, I'm excited for, for this squad. It'll be interesting to see if they get as a in the next couple days. When is the window close
Will:I forgot if they change it to two weeks before the season starts,'cause that would mean very soon. Or if it's
Jerrell:tomorrow?
Will:I have to double check actually. Uh mm-hmm. Jokes on us. Motherfucker. We only had one transfer corner. Fuck yeah. Window
Jerrell:The argument has always been the past couple years. If Arsenal just had a nine, September 1st is closed. If Arsenal just had a nine, they would win the league. A preview to my
Christian:Yeah.
Will:I
Jerrell:I got the nine. Let's see what
Christian:Yeah. It'll be
Will:the biggest thing too, oh, go ahead
Christian:it'll be interesting to see,'cause I remember in the first game with Giles Arsenal just kept going down the line and trying to get in some headers from, yo, he is a big man in the center, but I don't think he's, most of his goals did not come from headers in Portugal.
Will:not a per, yeah, he, I think I saw something like in the lead up while we were waiting for nine months plus for nine. He's not a great, he doesn't, despite his size, he doesn't score a lot from
Christian:Yeah.
Will:he does like great movement, great finishing, like strong leg, like great runs, but he's not like an aerial threat, which is wild because he's the fucking bane of a
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:That's why.
Christian:So the arsenal kind of tactic of just killing you down the sidelines and then going inward. Going inside over the top probably is not gonna, hopefully he can develop his head game with the amount of chances we'll probably provide this season.
Will:au. I'm back. I'm back. Fuck it. Yeah. But I, I, all in all, I think the other thing that's like everyone jokes about our soul coming in second, the last couple years is just kind of like, the, you continually
Christian:Gentlemen.
Will:exactly we're back. But just surely showing up. There's a lot of competitions throughout the, throughout the year that especially as you get into the top four in England, you're looking at like anywhere from 60 to 70 games. I think Man City ended playing like 70 plus when you can like club World Cup. So if you really wanna be competitive along, like all these competitions, you're realistically looking to field two squats an arsenal at any given time, and even without injuries, it's just like we're barely looking at that. Getting a replacement for Soka is huge. Last year they tried to revive rocking Sterling that we saw how that went. Obviously Marino having to play nine midfield, a lot of injuries in our back line or whatnot, but it's just good to see different forward options so that hopefully we don't see Ode guard get injured midyear, see Soka get injured, midyear and just like praying every week. Like where's the, where's the dynamism
Christian:Yeah.
Will:week to week?'cause it got real weird middle of the season.
Jerrell:Yeah, I was, I was I saw the. Mattress do on Instagram in the comments sections where, as optimistic as ever. And someone,
Christian:My comments.
Jerrell:rage bait'cause'cause I just feel like they just don't watch Arsenal play or they just picked it up in the past year. But they're just like, why do they continue to play when we have fucking yore? So it's like odd little weird. Internet's wild. We'll see what happens. Mary nine is back to the midfield.
Will:I stand by the fact that I felt good about this. On average there wasn't a game that we really got blown out of that besides
Jerrell:Yeah.
Will:Newcastle meetings and care about. So I think it's there, maybe a little bit more dynamism and attack, but hopefully we stay healthy. Obviously that's like part of the luck part of it. But I feel good about the players. We came in, they, Noni in was a huge hot topic and I understand what the price point and whatnot, but honestly just seeing him versus like like Raheem Sterling or we still have one Air Skelly gets renewed, Gabby gets renewed. They're working on saliva right now. The continuity in new piece has bring me a little bit of excitement. So arsenal's coming in first for real this time.
Jerrell:I am excited.
Will:speaking of motherfuckers who come in first unless you guys have any last thoughts, I'm gonna move on to the next
Jerrell:No, I'm okay.
Christian:Move on.
Jerrell:for the power rankings.
Will:The citizens man, city. One 15 charges who they revamped again, they prespen in the winter window and they kept spending summer window. Outgoings, KDB, he's headed Di Napoli Koto. He's headed back to Dortmund, Kyle Walker. I think he's going to burn Lisa. You'll still get to see him on Premier League. Saturdays and Sundays this season man City brings in Ray Rayon Inuity to replace to play fullback. Ani out of AC Milan. That's a huge pickup for them in their midfield. Rayon Cherokee out of Leon, and then Pon. He's got a highly touted prospect. He was rumored with Arsenal and also with a bunch of other teams. So seeing his development over time should be fun. And they also bring in James Rafford to have Bo Burnley as well. Top, top, top rank shots stopper to also, as Edison's seems to be like in and out over the last year and a half. So man said you revamped a little bit more. Obviously they also are gonna bring back Griff still rumored out. Roger looks like he's is, should be fully healthy to start the season. So hoping for some health continuity and there's some new legs. Maybe a little bit more hunger in that man. City squad. You guys see a bounce back from them? Removing our bias or,
Christian:No. Fuck'em.
Will:okay.
Jerrell:They'll be, they'll be competitive again. It's man, it's man city. There's not. A drop off. They might not win the league, but they'll be there.
Will:Rdio is just
Jerrell:Annoying as hell. Yeah.
Will:jre, jarel. I was so excited to hear from you again. It's been a long summer, my boys. Oh, we're not winning shit, huh? Watch this. Man city. Nice little revamp. We'll see. Power rankings now, actually, now that I'm talking about, that's coming up soon. Other top four team Chelsea. They keep spending money. I just don't fucking get it. Joel
Jerrell:So much money.
Will:Brighton comes in. Jamie Giddens coming in from Dortmund Esteve. They finalized that move from Brazil last year. He's gonna be coming into the, the squad, the 17-year-old Brazilian. I don't remember when he turns 18. Highly touted. He's like the next name, our after Enric. Apparently. So we'll see how that goes. They're able to bring in Joel Hatto center back, left back out of Aax. Liam lop. Shout out to Tractor Boys. He made a move over to them as well midseason, and it looks like they're gonna keep spending money, but we'll see how it goes. They're able to get money for Joelle. Felix. Felix goes out. Ed, they're building the Portugal national team out there in the Saudi League. They were able to get like 50 mil for him, which is like insane Noke 50 mil from us, which was, I can't say insane. I was just singing praises. KPA sent out on a loan. They're moving a lot of pieces, but Chelsea in Liverpool, I really wanna say they sold really well. in this window we keep on joking how Chelsea's spending all this money accounting witchcraft and they sell pretty well, which is frustrating through Arsenal and also with Barcel solar lens.'cause like apparently we can't get any outgoings through any money right now, but we want all the death in Arsenal. Chelsea looking to revamp, build off that club World Cup in top four finish as entered UCL this year.
Jerrell:Will Cole Palmer go cold?
Will:Hopefully not. I think they're trying to move Nico Jackson out too. He might be going to
Jerrell:Yeah,
Will:Yeah,
Christian:yeah, I hear a lot of people.
Jerrell:they're trying to move him, but he's just like the third option.
Christian:I've seen a lot of, he was linked to I think Manu at one point. I just saw a whole bunch of like menu Twitter
Will:menu.
Christian:and just I'll give up my fandom if you guys fucking sign. Nico Jackson.
Will:He shot flashes, like some of his finishing was just like top notch, especially first half of the season last year. And then I feel like everyone went cold. Midseason, like Cole Palmer went on a goal, goal streak. I think he went three months without scoring or whatnot. So it was just like a weird
Christian:Yeah.
Will:But it seems that still end of the day finish top four, it's not like they would like separate them by multiple games. It was a tight race towards the end of the season, but yeah. Fuck it. We'll see how it goes. Yeah, I think Cuckoo still hasn't been moved over there, but they're, they're, Chelsea's been like rumored with everyone, like Ch Simons like, it's crazy the amount of, I'm just like, what is Fairplay? I need to really understand that I should, I'm a numbers guy but yeah.
Jerrell:Nice. Any other notable transfers that happened during this window?
Will:I was gonna call him shit, but we're professionals. They bring in Bina,
Jerrell:Heard,
Will:Mathis Tell Wow, crazy just club that ing on his his time at Ham does, and he's headed to LAFC and the MLS ah, ah, ah, 26 mill deal. I think the biggest deal done in MLS history because I don't understand
Christian:Why LAFC?
Jerrell:understand their money. Sure, why not? It's, Thomas Mueller to the Vancouver White Caps.
Will:yes, it's the
Jerrell:Oh
Will:go crazy drug off.
Jerrell:yeah. That's another, that's just another one I had.
Will:Yeah, yeah, yeah. I, it's funny how those places end up decided,
Christian:Who did City get
Will:yeah, but sprays, revamp Spurs looking to be healthy as well. New coach as well on the brink on the bench. So we'll see how they look headed into it. Manchester United, they bring in Brandon Beo Mateo Una Rashford was loaned out to Barcelona. They're
Christian:for his first goal?
Will:be in. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Preseason first goal see if he's motivated there. But outside of that they're rumored with Benjamin Sesco and Watkins. It looks like they're moving for Sesco, which is, he has the profile of amazing Stryker. The only caveat being, I think he did score a lot of goals in a off season against for Leig last year. We were rumored with him, but they're looking to spend like over 80 mil to get sesco. And, the looming, intrusive thought is just like 80 mil and 13 goals. Huh. That's
Christian:Didn't they get confirmed today or yesterday and that Sesco is officially going to man?
Will:I didn't see the finalized transfer news, so unless I missed that. But I know that they sent an initial offer and then I think they're sending another one, but I haven't gotten the, here we go. Or
Jerrell:Here we go.
Will:Yeah, exactly. Or like the finalized, just like deals done quite yet,
Christian:No, you, you looking for the, here, here we go. I'm looking for the deal is sealed.
Will:Okay,
Jerrell:The deal is.
Will:us see it, officially. But I think that's where Manu ISS going. Which leaves an interesting place. Rasmus Hoyland, he was rumored to head to enter. I think that deal fell apart. They just Bologna last year. Where does that leave him? A couple pieces in midfield like Ca, Miro and whatnot have high price tag. Like what does that rebuild look like? We'll see how it goes. Outside of that, just some quick stuff. Newcastle signed Anthony Langa out of Nottingham Forest. Nian Forest bought in in Doye. Newcastle currently dealing with esop, possibly moving out. As I mentioned yesterday looks like he wants to go to Liverpool, so we'll see if the money's right in the replacements there.'cause I think Newcastle initially was looking for a Huga kka. Replacement and then Liverpool said, no, I want him too. So we'll see how that goes. A lot of stuff going on pretty much end of the day in the transfer window. This has been the transfer corner Mine line's wearing off now, so
Jerrell:Yay. Thanks, will.
Will:thanks Bud. C said, where's the seal? Where is it sealed? So
Christian:No, I'm looking for it. It is not seal.
Jerrell:kid didn't say
Christian:They agreed to personal terms and then SESCO and Manu agreed to personal terms, but they're still waiting on the club to club negotiations.
Jerrell:I'll send my agent.
Christian:Also, Shaq Tar
Jerrell:sure.
Christian:rejected a$3 million bi bid for Brazilian winger. Kevin?
Jerrell:You say
Christian:Yeah.
Will:I know who do Shaq Star is, but you said Kevin. I
Christian:Yeah.
Will:like,
Christian:Brazilian winger.
Will:bro. Okay. All right. Shout out Kevin, bro,
Jerrell:All right, Kevin, get
Christian:it it's kinda weird to see a, a Russian team reject 40 mil in ad put in with add-ons included for a player. That's
Will:I'm,
Christian:what's the transfer value. On, on, on Russian players over there.
Will:Shaar is a Ukraine team, isn't it?
Christian:Is it? Holy shit. Hold up. Let me
Will:was just like, I gotta
Jerrell:Make sure we have it right.
Will:I was just like,'cause they
Christian:It is, it is Ukrainian.
Will:Yeah. Yeah, because oh boy, I forgot his name. Who's the dude who went from Danes to Chelsea that he was rumored with Arsenal for 80 mil then he ended up going to Chelsea and it hasn't worked out quite yet.
Jerrell:Yes.
Will:tell it's really not going well.'cause I don't remember his fucking name right now, which is terrible. Mic Mika Ric he went to Ness and I remember a lot of it too was just like getting a fair value for the team. But yeah, that's Ukraine. Just to correct Christian before. Someone blows up his Twitter, so
Christian:They, they don't like each other. I'm, I'm, I'm Stop.
Jerrell:Christian Ronaldo, the goat, that's the handle. Blow it up.
Will:Send it up. Cool.
Jerrell:Power R in time. Let's go.
Will:these.
Jerrell:Do, we wanna start from, we start from the bottom right?
Will:from the fucking bottom, bro.
Jerrell:Starting from the bottom. We're stuck here. All right, I'll start. I'm picking my, my relegation teams in no particular order Burnley, leads and Sutherland. The teams I get promoted, go right back down.
Will:him. I'm gonna let you on the doc update okay. Okay. And
Jerrell:But an actual order. Su Suland at 18 leads at 19, and that's just only because they've spent so much money this summer. the seventh most spend of all the Premier League teams and leads at eight. I get
Will:coming back? Yeah.
Jerrell:all that money gets you 18th and 19th. Let's go.
Will:my my hot pick.'cause I was just like, I, I wanted to see if I can pick a team to stay up. So I had leads staying up actually. And guys, I wanna say that I've finally detached myself from my catfish. I have westham going down.
Jerrell:Oh
Will:yeah,
Jerrell:shit.
Will:yeah,
Christian:oh, retaliatory.
Will:it's been a, it's been a hot boy summer. Yeah, I just, they a lot of
Christian:The breakup was not good.
Will:so hell yeah. I'm working through a lot of transfer and Houston to get over that shit. Yeah, I have, I was like, I gotta pick one. I, I, I picked I picked leads to go to stay up. I just didn't love west Ham transfer business leads had came in first last year in the championship and I don't know. I just had a feeling, it's just one of those, we'll see. But I
Jerrell:The American Brendan Aaronson will lead leads,
Will:Had a feeling about Spurs last year and that went terrible for them. So we'll see. We'll see how it goes.
Jerrell:I feel. They
Christian:Yeah, I think I agree with Joel. I think the last three team the first three teams to come up are gonna go straight back down this season. So I have him pretty much leads 18th, Burnley 19th and Sutherland 20,
Jerrell:oh, after losing Job Bellingham, think he, did he go to, did, did he go to Dothan? Did he follow his brother's footsteps?
Christian:so, yeah.
Jerrell:I want to confirm that before I start making shit up.
Will:Think I have them in Mbae versus Bellingham 2 1
Jerrell:Yeah, he did go to Dart.
Will:as a summer special where the MB MBA brothers and the Bellingham brothers go off.
Jerrell:Can't wait.
Will:Cool. Christian who you had finishing 17th in the league. I want that hot topic team. Oh shit, I just saw it.
Christian:Sam United. Yeah.
Will:Okay. Alright. Ziko.
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:I got the wolves at 17.
Will:Okay. Okay,
Jerrell:Yeah. They're not very exciting for me. I don't know.
Christian:No, they're, they're my tractor boys this year.
Jerrell:Oh shit.
Christian:Yeah.
Will:Alexa play wolves by yay. Even though I guess he's canceled. Yeah, he is pretty much canceled. No, that's fair. I, I, I was gonna
Christian:never guess Why?
Will:Why Christian?
Jerrell:Sports analysts hate this one tip.
Will:Oh God.
Christian:Because they, they got a brand new numeral DS that's gonna take them.
Will:oh yeah, I
Jerrell:Oh
Christian:Higher up the bottom of the table.
Will:I would like to go on record. That wolves finished last season. Amazingly, they did played really well to finish the rest of the season. I initially had them in my head. I was just like, man, are they gonna struggle with relegation? But they finished real strong yeah, I actually have'em 16, so it's not like I'm'em up too much further. But,
Christian:have my 16 as well.
Jerrell:y'all want me to type my stuff in here?
Will:just adding it as you say it. You don't have to,
Jerrell:Oh, okay. Yeah. I want there to be surprises, getting crazy with it.
Will:spicy
Christian:man got liver pull at one.
Will:Oh fuck. cool. So yeah, my 16 was wolves. As Christian stated, my 17 was lead. So I'll go to 15 and you guys can fill the gaps, 15th. I have Everton Everton
Jerrell:same.
Will:La Simco, Everton last year finished 13th. They had a tough start to the season. Finish really strong to finish the season. It's getting some good results. Again, Liverpool as well throughout the season. I just don't, I don't see the vision quite yet. I'm not saying there isn't a vision. I'm not saying, they they can't prove me wrong, but, new stadium, I'm excited for them. But we're gonna have to see some stuff on the field, so I'm gonna have them on 15th, almost near that kind of mid table area.
Jerrell:Yeah, last year, last year I put Everton kind of high.'cause I gave them, I was like, oh, yeah, they had points deducted that, that's not the team. They are dah, dah, dah, dah, dah. And then they, they didn't reach
Christian:are who we thought they were.
Jerrell:I'll, I'll leave them at 15.
Will:You
Jerrell:Them at 15?
Will:Oh no, you had'em till Christian nailed it last year.
Jerrell:Yeah.
Will:They finished 13th. You never know, but yeah, I feel like, I feel like that's fair not to, regurgitate.
Jerrell:16th. Have Crystal Palace.
Christian:This man.
Will:That's
Christian:the FA Cup winner's. Crystal Palace in 16th.
Will:Don't tell me who you got winning on Sunday drill. I
Jerrell:Yeah, Chris Crystal Pal's only spending 2 million in their window too and if they lose a, if that's po to happen, then I don't know. I don't know.
Will:I feel like essay's
Jerrell:But
Will:for us, but we'll see. We'll
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:think, but I'm basing it on him leaving yeah.
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:16, I think Crystal Palace takes a hit.
Will:Yeah, they do have the good birth. They still have Daniel Munoz. Spoiler for
Jerrell:Yeah.
Will:11 next week I had him. I swear to God, I have him written down somewhere. Christian. Cool. Drill who you do, I think we have your 17, 16, 15. Who's your 15
Jerrell:it was
Christian:Good shit. Fifteens across the board.
Will:Hell yeah. Gimme your 14 then.
Jerrell:Brentford. I just think with the amount of talent that has left Brentford, their coach Thomas Frank leading for Tottenham. I don't think we're gonna get a top half of the table Brentford finish. They're not gonna get relegated. I've seen some articles out there where Brentford iss like immediately relegated 18th. I just don't think, I think they're a better team than that. But they do take a dip. at one point did have'em at 16th. It was a battle. It was really Crystal Palace, Everton, Brentford, where do I place them all? And I was just like, nah, I can't put Brentford that low. So I gave'em 14th
Will:No, that's fair. I, I have them 14th as well. They're gonna take a dip. They lose their coach. They're losing, who is like kind of engine for the team. They're fighting to keep going to Lisa, Lisa wants to go as well. So it
Jerrell:and he's I'm not gonna play. And I'm just like, that's Brentford literally lets you leave. If they can find a home for you, don't just sit there and pout.
Will:damn drill drill's coming hard. Young. Lisa, if you're listening, he's done with you. You're, you're, you've, you've been
Jerrell:I'm not done with them. I'm just kind of like
Will:price. Okay.
Jerrell:takes Brentford, takes care of their players.
Will:Buzz.
Christian:I heard you threw away your jersey.
Jerrell:Yeah.
Will:crazy. That, that'd be
Jerrell:Trash. No, I'm kidding.
Will:one. Absolutely not. I, I see it hanging on his wall signed.
Jerrell:Yeah, new kit's already here.
Will:but definitely it looks like it's gonna be a transitory year. But, good energy at the gtech. So we'll see what they can do and see if there's any new pieces there that can do something for them. Christian who's year 14?
Christian:My 14th is fullham. Honestly, that, that 16 to 13 range to me, you can flip flop any of those teams. Fullham just feeling like a 14th place team at this point.
Jerrell:Okay.
Will:The
Jerrell:Just, just the vibe,
Will:Don't
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:vibe.
Will:that shit. We don't get down with that. We're coming for 10. We should have had Europe.
Christian:I think.
Will:Sorry. I don't
Jerrell:It's interesting about phone because weren't they up a couple years ago? Like they were
Will:they
Jerrell:top
Will:two years ago. They
Jerrell:Oh, that's it.
Will:yeah they were up, they relegated and then they've been back for two seasons Last year they were flirting with like maybe A-U-E-C-O birth depending on how it went. And then just faded a little bit down the rest of the season. But yeah, they definitely had it in pockets. But I, I'm not, I I, I, I don't have a much higher, so I can definitely see a slide a little bit as they, look, they think they kept Matt Kearney team captain for another year. They were able to renew, but not a lot right now. I'm brand new on the team, so we'll definitely one in that range where it's just kind of like, Hey, maybe something pops up, changes. But my theme over the summer was just like, it really felt like the power six teams were like, consolidating, like in league talent as well with their spending in like the rest of those teams, like your villa, your Forest or whatnot, struggling to spend in a commiserate level. So yeah. 14, not a crazy shout. I don't have a much higher
Jerrell:and Westham at 13.
Will:Ooh, spoiler. Oh, Westham. Okay. Drill's. Highest on Westham. Good
Jerrell:It was a, it was a goof. Maybe I'm vying into the catfish.
Will:Now, I, I, I'm over here. Warning
Jerrell:I've adopted the hammers.
Will:they're no good for you. Drill. Don't do it. And drill's just
Jerrell:I might start, start blowing bubbles this season.
Christian:Serious.
Will:it is just you're just Joseph, what we have will, I was like, no.
Jerrell:Take.
Will:Yeah, so cool. I think for the most part we're relative relatively on par for where we're at. I'm gonna go to my 13th I guess full and spoiler. I had them 11th actually, but still within the range where I don't see there being a crazy variance between some of those mid tables teams where it's just like 14th, 11th, is that a crazy shot? So I have them in Brentford fill, flip Crystal Palace, me and Christian. I see you Christian finishing 12 Christian. Was it'cause of the meme?
Christian:Which meme?
Will:Oh, it is like a, I remember like March when they like were stringing off a bunch of wins. It's just crystal Palace in fucking January when it's time for them to win a game to secure It's like Prime Madrid or some shit. I was just like, so they finished 12th last year? I have them. God damnit, we're gonna do it again. So
Christian:Pause is an interesting story. They're gonna, they're gonna have the pressure of European competition added into their schedule.
Jerrell:Yeah. Yeah. That's the reason why I got my six. I'm kidding. I did not think of that.
Will:they got dropped
Christian:They got dropped.
Will:ol
Jerrell:they're in
Christian:Yeah, they got dropped from the Europa and they went to the conference. So it's still more games added onto their schedule. I'm looking at a transfer. It doesn't look like they made a splash so far. They lost Walter beneath this.
Jerrell:2 million
Christian:Yeah. On and all that. 2 million went to born a Sosa from Ajax. They lost a few people, but they were loaned out.
Will:on to Daniel Munoz even though he wants to leave after slang a new contract.
Christian:Yeah, they've been,
Will:we'll see how it goes.
Christian:most of their transfers out are just like loan out or end of loans. So it'll be interesting to see. They haven't made much changes, so I'm gonna keep them at 12. It would be lower if it wasn't for Daniel Moz. Just to, to, to be fair,
Will:Do
Jerrell:Do you wanna guess the team that spent the least in the summer window?
Christian:yeah. It spent the least and just the added competition.
Will:know this.
Christian:Wait, are you saying they spent the least?
Jerrell:2, 1? No, I'm asking, do you know
Christian:Oh,
Jerrell:the least amount,
Christian:I, I,
Will:of my head,
Christian:I do not know.
Will:either Everton or Palace did at
Jerrell:bonus points, if you guess the amount
Christian:2 million Palace.
Will:crystal Palace, 6.9 a currency to be named. So I have some flexibility.
Jerrell:Oh, full on 0.4 million in pounds.
Will:Alright, cool. That's wild. That's actually wild. The fuck, they just got Paul money last year. Lost count of numbers. We said 12. Crystal Palace Row. Who's your 11?
Jerrell:is born myth,
Will:Hmm.
Jerrell:giant killers. But that's all they can really do. And they'll just play to the level of everyone else and they'll sit in the middle of the table for it.
Will:lost a couple players as well that were like key to their hot start of the season. I'm pretty sure Muis COR came from there yeah. Yeah, I had them 13th so I won't go too crazy. I think the Cherry got Sizzled, so
Jerrell:Yeah. That's sizzling.
Will:we're gonna leave that in season one though.
Jerrell:Do they get relegated? No. Who knows?
Will:Where you
Jerrell:A complete collapse. The Michael B. Jordan, money is dried
Will:You
Christian:where am I on for burn or do I, who do I have for 11?
Jerrell:11th or burn with
Will:Whatever you
Jerrell:Yes.
Will:It's your, it's your pot too, bro. Go crazy. Freestyle.
Christian:you guys got Brian higher than I got Brian at 11 and I got burn move at 10.
Will:I Brighton definitely ended up like a default. Kind of someone has
Jerrell:Where do we put them?
Will:Yeah. What are we gonna do about this? About the
Christian:Oh, we flip flopped on them. Yeah.
Will:Who,
Christian:Me and you flip flopped on Brian and Bemo.
Will:Hell yeah.
Christian:Oh, wait, no, I can't read tables.
Jerrell:It's
Christian:I was looking at this.
Jerrell:don't like you guys seeing it.
Will:Re's writing all of his as white ink. Yeah. I'm just adding yours as you say them.
Jerrell:Yeah, I,
Will:you, when you said full'em at 12, I just went ahead and put it, so for everyone on the other side of the audio hearing my voice, my voice we have a doc that looks a lot similar to the one last year. I was like, I'm gonna do one that's less confusing for them. And then today I was looking, I was like, damn, I didn't set up this fucking Google sheet. So it looks the exact same with less color so far. So I'll work
Jerrell:I originally, I originally had them in the dock and then I took them out.'cause I was like, no, no, no, no. They can't see'em.
Will:will going into the change history. So where were we at? A D's bad.
Jerrell:Yeah, I think we're at 10 now.
Will:oh, okay. So Brighton. Yeah. Yeah, them at eight. I like Fabian, I like some things they did last year, but also a little bit by default where I was like, I can see a slide for Fullham. I can see a slide here. There. And I think Brighton was like in that space where it's just like I can't see them being worse than some teams, but I definitely can't see them better than teams I have ahead of them. So that's how they ended up at my eighth Christian, but eight to 11, once again, we're talking about how many points, like five points
Christian:Yeah, nothing.
Will:we'll
Jerrell:Yeah, this number 10 for me was interesting'cause it's kind of like if I put them too high, I think I'm overly optimistic if I put them too low. It's insulting. I put Man United at 10, just like a. don't know. That felt like halfway to me. There's no way you finish 16 17th again in, in the league. But I also don't think,
Will:Watch this.
Jerrell:I also don't think that they can compete with the top five teams either. So I was like, ah, 10 is a good spot for them. I don't know. Let's see what Emerin has.
Will:full preseason, there's still like a good amount of spending being done there. They're putting investment into the squad and Amar rooms getting a full, a full preseason to maybe get the guys he wants there. So we'll see. I had them sitting nine actually.
Jerrell:Okay.
Will:I don't think it's too crazy. I feel like they're definitely one of those teams where you're not gonna, we've heard Manchester's back several times over the years. So until they show their kind of back and, they bring the fear of playing in their stadium again and just i'm not gonna buy into it too much. So I think mid table is like a safe place to go with them. You don't expect them to bottom out with just the amount they spending. But if you told me in May, hey, they're sitting around 14th, 15th, but they're in the U Europa. Oh no, they're not even fucking Europa. What am I saying? They're in the Carabell semis or whatever at some point I can see it. But until they do it, Manchester United is the second best team in Manchester.
Jerrell:Who else got 10? Who else? What was your guys' tens.
Will:Where, who you do you wanna, you wanna add or you wanna wait until we get a little bit lower on them?
Christian:To man, I got him at seven. It, it's, it like, like Gerald said, it's gonna be tough, really tough to see him perform as bad as they did last season. It is
Will:It can't get worse
Christian:got.
Will:Yeah.
Jerrell:relegated.
Christian:you got Amarin finally getting his first full year to see what he can do with the club. Gotta let go of some pieces and, and see what happens. But I think I, I have him at seven.
Jerrell:Se seven's good too. I think I had originally had them that high and I was just like, I think I'm too generous. I think I'm too generous. Middle of the table is what worked for me. Number nine, I put nine can force and number nine. they were really good Last season, I think it was like a one off. Things were just hit hitting, right? It's more of a prove it year. Prove that you can compete in the top five and you can beat those teams consistently. So they fall off for me in the preseason rankings to the ninth spot.
Will:Yeah, they had the anniversary last year really pushing them through 75 years or something like that. But and we saw towards the end of the season where we were just like, oh shit, are they gonna steal a UCL spot? And they just kind of like.
Jerrell:I just kept collapsing. Yeah.
Will:even wanna say collapsed, but it was just like maybe regressed to the mean a little bit more. So I had them 10, I had them with a little bit more of a drop off. But definitely within the kind of, you expect them mid table. But also considering I had them I think like 17th last year, I'm just like, shout out to y'all. Great. Come up. So hopefully they can capitalize on what they did last year and build a, maintain the level.
Christian:Yeah, I got Nottingham on 10th place, I believe. Oh no, I, I got them at ninth. They had, they were high scoring last year. It, it's just, it's just tough to pick Nottingham out of all the, the, like the top six contenders. It's hard to put them up there, but they conceded 46 goals. It was about mid table defense scored 58. And just like Crystal Palace, they have European football coming up, so I don't think they're going to do as good as they did last year. But I still, I still think they cracked the top 10.
Jerrell:All right. And my first Champions League participant coming at number eight. Taught them. Taught them at eight with their new manager.
Will:European League, right?
Jerrell:huh?
Will:European League participant.
Jerrell:Champions League.
Will:right. My
Jerrell:Yeah.
Will:I'm drunk. My fault. I'm
Jerrell:Champions League Participant. I got'em finishing eighth this season. New manager. It might be a little bit different. I don't know. Again, same, same story as Men United. Like it's just not a team you expect to sit at, at towards the bottom of the table, just struggling for wins. they may struggle with champions League and just having more games on schedule. Again, but I got'em at eight. I'm feeling optimistic about the Spurs, but outside of this, I'm a full-time Spurs hater
Will:It's in my blood. It's in my
Christian:I got the Spurs at 21st.
Will:I hate the way you walk, the way you talk, the way you dress. I got the spirits finishing six actually, oh, okay. Christian's highest on, I'm gonna do a separate thing where I put who's highest and who's lowest on who. And we're gonna keep that going throughout the year. It's just fuck'em, I hate'em. No matter how well they play. But no. Yeah, I think a big part of it, obviously Thomas Frank, new coach, they have some investment but. You figure they might be healthier, right? They won't be dealing with as much injuries. A little bit less rock and roll style of football versus the way they played last year. They covered the most ground. Maybe that contributes to injuries. Maybe they get a little bit more luck a little bit more luck. They will be dealing with the UCL, obviously, but I think, really think last year, as bad as it was for them, wasn't their level. They were the only team for most of the season that was showing like a positive goal differential. Their goal
Jerrell:Yeah, for sure.
Will:around teams that were in these spots. So I think Ingham bounces back as a, me being will, the guy who talks into the mic as with a little bit of bias. There's still shit, that's above me. That's above me.
Jerrell:Keep it a book. Number seven, bright brighten, brighten it. Number seven for me. yeah, just a team. I was just like, where do I put them? And they had some merit last season, like they did reasonably well. But yeah, I was just like, I'll just put'em at seven'cause I can't put to this high. Here you go, Brian. Seven.
Will:It, it, it
Christian:I think my seven was
Will:because it's just kind of like, oh, menu. Yeah.
Christian:what?
Jerrell:Hmm.
Christian:Was there a delay?
Will:I thought Christian, you said, I thought, I think my seven
Christian:oh yeah. My seven was menu.
Will:menu. Okay.
Christian:I think he got probably the highest out of all of us.
Jerrell:I think I
Christian:Yeah.
Will:He is
Jerrell:just barely.
Will:Yeah. My seven. Ali Watkins, is he gonna play? He should. He's really fucking good. Danielle Mullen really fucking good. Uri thons really fucking good. I like the makeup of the team. Not dealing with the UCL as much struggling with some recruitment as we alluded to or talked about during the transfer window, but I still like how this team lines up. I still like what they're doing and don't forget this team pushed PSG in their round their quarter final round and whatnot. Yeah, I'm gonna go, I got the villains at seven this year.
Jerrell:Villain's at seven, not the villain's at six. So not too different from you still Quality Squad. They just found that, that spot right there, six, seven, maybe tease you with a Champions League run this season.
Christian:Villain.
Jerrell:see what happens.
Christian:I got the villains finishing eighth.
Will:The OCHO.
Jerrell:They out. They on the outside looking
Will:Cool. And then we're getting to the top five. Top five.
Jerrell:the top
Will:five.
Jerrell:five. Alright. Backing what I said about Man City. I put Man City at five.
Will:Oh
Jerrell:not,
Will:That's crazy. Yeah,
Jerrell:yeah. Yeah. I put Man City at five. I don't know, maybe. I think their time, their time is done. They gotta make way for Liverpool.
Will:Make your way to the euro. Believe you fucking bums.
Jerrell:Get outta here.
Will:putting them four. Honestly, I, I think I had, I had, I, I had my, my 1, 2, 3 looking like too familiar. I was like, lemme spice it up a little bit. Let me put'em my four or whatnot. Them dropping a Yeah, we'll see. There's, there's a version where it's just okay, this is the end of an era. And that maybe these new signings don't hit. Roger maybe doesn't look the same. John Stones is a, is being relied upon. Too much to play. Right back to play. CDM and whatnot. We'll see. It should be fun. And it is the first season coast KD B era, so yeah. Yeah. Okay. Drell
Jerrell:I pray for the man's city fall.
Will:I hate these things. I caught myself up. I hate them too.
Christian:Oh,
Will:I hate the way they walk, the way they talk, the way they dress.
Jerrell:I wanna see the charges.
Christian:oh, that'd be fucking great.
Will:We need better lawyers, bro. That's crazy.
Jerrell:Christian, where'd you put, man? City
Will:Newcastle. I have them at five fucking
Jerrell:five.
Will:Get the fuck outta here in Newcastle. It's on site again. I caught it bygones last year. Newcastle dealing obviously with the East side trauma. Dealing with kind of like the tax for, the where their money inve, their investment comes from and whatnot. But all around still a good team. They still have Anthony Gordon, left wing Bruno Gima, Sandra to playing. But we'll see what the team looks like at the start of the season. Obviously with the Esoc drama, it looks like he's trying to force his way out, not training with the team. Sent home from the preseason tour. I had them at five. They're gonna be, I just couldn't see them making a jump over Manchester City considering Manchester City's investment over Chelsea considering Chelsea's investment in the pieces they have there. So I have New Castle at a, five and, but still within striking distance, like if you told me they qualified for Champions League under the season, I wouldn't be surprised if you told me they missed Europe. I would be surprised. So I hate them, but hey I have them at five.
Christian:I think I touched on it earlier, but I do have the Spurs at five. I think they did pretty well in the transfer. Last year. They scored 64 goals, 1.68 per game. But the downside on that, they conceded 65 goals, so it's obviously they needed to improve on the defensive side. And I think they did that. They got danzo from lens at 21 mil. They spent 9.3 million on Kovich and Japanese Takai. So they did splash on some center backs to get their defense even better. Obviously sun is a huge loss to them, but they were able to spend about 30 mil on Mathis tell should be, should be a pretty interesting for, for the Spurs here. I, I, I, I feel I'm comfortable at that. At, at, at five.
Will:Yeah, the 35 mil and tail lower than I think the loan option they had with Byron when they got him on loan in winter. But 35 mil is fair for, someone who wasn't gonna see much more time, but was a great high prospect prior to his time in Byron. So Jarrell, who do you have at
Christian:Oh, and they splash 55 mil on kudos. So they're, they're.
Jerrell:four.
Will:Kudus.
Jerrell:Newcastle at four. I did not take into account the Esoc drama.
Will:Like that qualifier. I like that drill. Just Hey, when you played this back, Hey, this is before though.
Jerrell:so I had them at four and I really put'em up there'cause I'm just like, you know what? Their home kit is so nice.
Will:It is. I can't even, I can't hate on that. Their kids are nice. Yeah.
Jerrell:but yeah, four for Newcastle. If they keep Esoc, they'll, they'll stay up there in that top five range that they've been in for past three seasons. I think they had an off year,
Will:I
Jerrell:the past. Past three campaigns. They've been, they've been up there, they've been competing.
Will:they've been busting our ass for the most part,
Jerrell:Yeah. Fucking on Arsenal. So
Will:All right. I think, I think I see how this is finishing up, but Christian, who you got at three?
Christian:At three, I have, who do I have at three? I have Chelsea at three.
Will:Okay. Threes across the
Christian:Yeah, they,
Will:Uh uh.
Jerrell:across the
Christian:yeah,
Will:Okay.
Christian:gonna take their momentum from the, from the club or cup.
Jerrell:means
Christian:Yeah. They got endless amount of players. It, and there's been multiple times in last season where they looked really good and really scaley. So it, it was a, a roller coaster for Chelsea. And they got, that's, they got European silverware last year, I believe.
Jerrell:Got got two trophies last season.
Christian:Look at that. Yeah. And they got young folks like Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer. They're, they're, they're solid players. So I, I, I, I'm comfortable with Chelsea at the three.
Jerrell:that are on the up and up.
Will:All right, let's start a dialogue guys.
Jerrell:Sure,
Will:so I see where we're going with these rankings. We're doing what we did last year, right?
Jerrell:yeah.
Will:who we have at one. I'm assuming I see who Darrell has at one. I see who Christian has at two. I know who I have at two. All right, space. Why does Arsenal win the league this year?
Jerrell:Arsenal wins the league because of the Hy Hybrid kit and why
Christian:kid is fucking nice.
Jerrell:it's so fucking nice.
Christian:Oh,
Jerrell:let's talk
Christian:also quick,
Will:number.
Christian:out to Arsenal for putting out the, the woman's clothing. The woman's merch on Blast. They came out with a high berry crop top and Susie wants to rock it, so
Will:Wait, that's a woman's talk.
Jerrell:Yeah. They have a crop top
Will:up.
Jerrell:the.
Will:I thought it was, I thought it was unisex.
Jerrell:Yeah, I saw that too and I was like, oh, that's pretty dope. I think Adidas did that for all of their sports affiliated
Christian:also launched a, a woman's only lion like a month ago. Shut out. Shut out. Arsenal, shut out
Will:wanna
Christian:equality alone. Arsenals winning the league.
Will:space once again, but so from my boys, I have the recent arsenals winning because the jerseys are fresh, the crop tops are fresh, and you'll caresses here.
Jerrell:they got a number nine.
Will:was not very high on.
Christian:I, all I said is that he had like the worst debut, like rating, and that's all I said.
Jerrell:No.'cause at the end of the day, what everybody always complains about, if Arsenal just had a number nine, would win the league.
Will:was more depth, but yes. Yes.
Jerrell:They have the number nine for 80% of the fan base who says, this is all we needed. Go, go win the
Christian:maybe use subs this year
Jerrell:excuse if you
Christian:because I feel like our subs last year were just very predictable and never came
Will:now we now we know we have more subs and, okay, cool. Why does Liverpool not win the league this year,
Christian:because they sold lucho. They were paying him pennies. They were paying him pennies, bro.
Will:bro, 75, 80, like I, I, I don't know the conversion rate for Lucho who's about to turn 29 is insane.
Christian:Was trash compared to his output. It was trash. He went to Baron, he collected that.
Will:I'm happy he's getting the mo, I'm very happy he's getting the money. Don't get me wrong. The fact that they got that much money for a player who's 28, 29 and
Jerrell:That's.
Will:I love it. I love it. I miss, cool. Drew, why does Liverpool not Linda League this year?
Jerrell:Words doesn't pan out. He's overhyped.
Will:hot take. Okay.
Jerrell:Yeah,
Will:christian even looked up. Christian came
Christian:That's crazy.
Will:the fuck he just went. You grounded Christian from his lucho. His lucho.
Christian:I just remember ending last season with me going over their squad, and I'm just like, this is fucking terrifying. And I was like, how can it get more terrifying? And they somehow made it more terrifying. Allison's on his way, way out, they got Mama Avi, who, holy fuck. He had an amazing World Cup, which is how, pretty much how he got his name out there. He's, he's Allison's backup like Liverpool's Good for a while.
Jerrell:finished second this campaign.
Christian:They still finish second. Yeah. Oh yeah, yeah. No, no, no. Of course they're gonna finish second because boo boo.
Will:I'm. I mean you're, you're still looking at, so one, I think last year they, Liverpool was able to win a lot of like tight games and a lot of like late winners. Moala was
Jerrell:inevitable.
Will:the Moala was amazing for honestly through until pretty much, I think once they fell out Fa Cup, like there's a little bit of a slide versus like his early season for him. Not like he played poor at all, but it was just kind of like, oh, okay. He wasn't fucking putting up a brace or like 80 minute fucking cold winters every week. But the league was like relatively decided pretty early.
Jerrell:Yeah.
Will:they have some Cote drama? It looks like Royall Madrid's trying to take another player from their back line. You have two new Li left back full backs on that back line as well. And Nunez is out. You did bring in Tke, but Tke is also isn't like a full left wing you're gonna have to deal with okay, is Verts playing fully wing? He plays 10 a little bit, so it was likely occupies the same. I can see areas where there's a chance Christian, not a shot, but like real Madrid. How do these pieces fit? What does the continuity look like a little bit more coming into the season where, hey and all that to say is Liverpool had fantastic luck as far as injuries went last year. Luck not in a, oh hey, they only won'cause of it, but injuries are something that's just not something you train for. And these things happen. So what do, what do they look like by December? Is it comfortable romp, is it tight still? RN slot. Now the team's really in his vision, he's not like just running mostly with the players inherited from Jurgen Club. I think that's the intrigue for Liverpool. But if they can maintain their defensive solidity and those signings, they hit the way they expect them to. Yes, they're scary as shit. but
Christian:they get
Will:lose the
Christian:esoc bro.
Jerrell:Yep. That's why they come in second.
Will:Yeah, they spend all that money for a flop. He only plays well in St. James. Yeah. Hot take. Yeah. 25 Swedish. Okay. As you'll. Good as this. But we'll see. We'll see. But no, I think it, I think it'll be intriguing season. But fuck Liverpool. Yeah, they really,
Christian:yeah, for sure.
Will:they won the league and they, they set themselves up for the next
Jerrell:A dynasty
Will:I feel like. So we'll see. It's tough to repeat in the Premier League unless you're main city. So we'll see how it goes. So it should be
Jerrell:unless you just overspend and hide your spending and where's the money coming from?
Will:it coming from? So on average I'll just go through 20 backwards. Our average rankings, Burnley 20th, Sunderland 19th leads, 18th relegation. The ascendancy is relegating. 17th. don't have a 17th due to weird rounding. West Ham. Wolves. You guys will be fighting for 16, 17 Everton. 15th Brentford the busy bees to 14th. crystal Palace 13th. Fullham 12 burn. Myth 11. We have two nines. Look at
Jerrell:We nine.
Will:three nines. Hell yeah. Nine for you. Nine for me. Nine for we. But somewhere between Manchester, United, Brighton and Ingham Forest. If I said that 18 months ago, I'd be like, huh, that's weird.
Jerrell:a list.
Will:the fuck's been going on? As Villa, we have average out to seven. There was a lot of ties at nine. We have no six. We're going straight to five. This is very confusing Drill. Get the graphic ready. Newcastle, United, on average at Five. Man City at four. At four. Jarrell. Chelsea third,
Jerrell:Bastar
Will:And that's our professional opinion. No bias and Arsenal. We have
Jerrell:our snowmen in the league.
Will:but
Jerrell:Get your crop tops. Now get your highberry crop tops. Now
Will:up in there. So I no notes. I think, I think that was perfect. I don't think there's any way we're wrong when
Jerrell:we've predicted it to a T like it's done.
Will:Yeah. And
Jerrell:You don't even need to watch. Just listen to us
Will:yeah. Matter of fact, Saturday morning, oh, every game time. Christian's gonna vividly describe each game as it goes on. And I can't wait for those five
Jerrell:even
Christian:No, there's gonna be a camera on me with a mirror in my background, and everybody's gonna be watching like the games inverted.
Will:Christian's gonna do shadow puppets of the games on the wall. We also do have football coming back this Sunday on the 10th, 10:00 AM Eastern. So that's three o'clock English time. I don't know the Greenwood time. Liverpool. Crystal pals, who you got.
Jerrell:Greenwich time,
Will:Thank
Christian:Crystal Palace, bro, like we just talked about. Liverpool are bums, bro.
Jerrell:Crystal, about to win the.
Will:I don't know if it was the delay that lined it up, but it sounded like you guys said Crystal Palace at the same time. So I'm now rooting for Crystal Palace is gonna take it. Liverpool's gonna start with the blemish.
Jerrell:you words. Words is overrated. He's a flop. He's not gonna pan out for,
Will:So good for, we'll see, we'll see.
Jerrell:not gonna pan out in the Premier League.
Will:Nice.
Jerrell:It's a different beast.
Will:Liverpool probably wins 4 0 1
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:Yeah, probably. Probably. He gets a Hattie.
Will:All right.
Jerrell:All right, we're wrapping it up here guys. We've got a new website. fellas.com. Check it out. There's no buzz
Christian:Didn't pay,
Jerrell:there's no, there's
Christian:didn't their bills,
Jerrell:there's nothing. We're, we got our own,
Will:Hell
Jerrell:we got the domain name. It's awesome.

Jerrell:I didn't know. didn't know.
Will:Next week we have our season start. We'll do a review of the community shield, but we can't wait. We'll have our match. Day one preview. Will I bid, bring back the pickups? Who the fuck knows Pre-season elevens? We were
Jerrell:I'm about to make a program so we can just log the picks
Will:That
Jerrell:then they'll just post to the website.
Will:shit. Oh
Jerrell:That's crazy.
Will:be, the digital footprint will be real preseason. 11th. Next week maybe we'll just put arson 11. Maybe we'll pick one player from e every team. Maybe, maybe. We won't fucking do it. We'll do whatever the fuck we want. Anything you guys wanna touch on? Guys?

Christian:a cyclone
