What's up guys?
Jerrell:Pod
Christian:Same time, same time, same time. Episode Numero 50 hit me with a drill.
Jerrell:four
Christian:Lucky number for somebody.
Jerrell:somebody. Today is Thursday, November 6th, 2025. We are gonna talk about Match Day 10 and Champions League, but before we get to all that, Christian, how you doing?
Christian:I am doing good. Taking care of a 10 month old puppy. I just got spayed and she is on the floor drugged up. So
Jerrell:boy.
Christian:yeah, she's doing good though. She got her appetite back today, thankfully.
Jerrell:That's
Christian:But yeah. How you doing?
Jerrell:Pretty good. Pretty good. A lot of Champions League watch PAOs win yesterday. Yesterday. Yeah.
Christian:Okay. Okay.
Jerrell:Yeah. They got, they got the dub, their first ever Champions League win.
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:Not the first for Cypress, but the first for them.
Christian:Nice, nice. And then we got, will we send them scouting the Dominican Republic for New Talent?
Jerrell:Yeah. He was supposed to go to Jamaica. Then he was just like, you know what? The talent's just not there. Send me to Dr. I think he just, I think he also wants to scout the baseball talent too
Christian:Oh yeah. True, true. That's our Monday pad
Jerrell:Yeah. Will Will's out this week. He'll be back next week I think. I
Christian:and shit. Talk Barcelona again.
Jerrell:they shut down the airspace, he might not be let back into the country.
Christian:Yeah, dude.
Jerrell:He might have to take a boat back.
Christian:I'm supposed to be flying to Austin for Thanksgiving. I, that shit's probably gonna get canceled.
Jerrell:Yeah. I we thought about going to North Carolina for Thanksgiving and I was like, I'm gonna use my miles, but
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:if it gets canceled, I don't think I'm gonna get those miles back.
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:American Airlines. A little weird.
Christian:But we came for soccer, for football,
Jerrell:We did. We came for
Christian:for the people sport.
Jerrell:Follow us on all our socials. Twitter, blue Sky, Instagram the football fellas. The website got revamped yesterday. I'm proud of the progress I put into it. Football fellows.com,
Christian:Hell yeah.
Jerrell:are actually fleshed out. We got. Draws lost columns. Matches, played goals, scored goals conceded
Christian:Woo.
Jerrell:points. Oh my God, it's looking great.
Christian:So much.
Jerrell:Got a little thing on the side that tells you who's in Champions League contention, who isn't? It's like a professional. Check it out. I also wanna shout out all of Brazil because
Christian:All of Brazil.
Jerrell:yeah, last week. I, I couldn't get all the locations'cause five of'em were, were from Brazil and I was just like, wow. Brazil's listening. can rattle them off real quick. I know one is real De Janeiro. Sao Paulo is another one. we also got KMI, I don't know where that is, but it's in Brazil. I did look that up in Bra, the capital of Brazil and.
Christian:To Brazil.
Jerrell:Rhine. sounds like Germany. I
Christian:North Ryan
Jerrell:Yeah, I think we got a German Listen, hang on. Hang on. Can't leave you out. Yes. That is Germany, north
Christian:first try.
Jerrell:West Alia. Yep. tuned in for the podcast listening to our, somebody called Joey Tempest episode, but we're international. 20 countries, 58 cities
Christian:20 country. Shout out to y'all. Thanks for listening. Thanks for listening to Three Buds. Just talking mad shit about Premier League soccer.
Jerrell:Yep. They can look at us and they'll just be like,
Christian:Yeah,
Jerrell:don't know shit. I wanna watch the Champions League desk. I wanna see ion re break it down for me.
Christian:we're just micro
Jerrell:But yeah,
Christian:catching strays all the time.
Jerrell:and, who's that?
Christian:Micah just catching straights all the time.
Jerrell:Oh, it's hilarious. It's great. I think Jamie was catching straight yesterday'cause he was at, he was at
Christian:Mm-hmm.
Jerrell:and they were like really digging into him.'cause he, he wasn't behind the desk that day, so it was, he's easy target.
Christian:Oh yeah.
Jerrell:So match day 10. Let's, let's get into it. Christian, you wanna gimme the
Christian:Let's do it.
Jerrell:we'll go into it.
Christian:Down match day ds. We got Crystal Palace getting, finally getting a victory against, I'm sorry, your busy bees. We're not too busy to falling 2 0 2. Crystal Palace Manu. One streak is over. Tying with the tricky with Nottingham Forest Tricky trees. Arsenal. You know it, you know why even go through it. We already know. We, we got a Dub two zero against Ley.
Jerrell:game where it's just kind of like nothing went wrong.
Christian:Yeah, pretty much. Danny Welbeck being the best scorer for England so far. This year leading the Brighton over leads three zero Fullham destroying the wolves, causing their manager to get sacked within 24 hours after that game.
Jerrell:Did not see that.
Christian:yeah. Chelsea defeats Tottenham one zero after Tottenham's worst XG display since that became an official stat. Liverpool beating Aston Villa and ending their five game Premier League win streak. We have West Ham beating Newcastle three one. Is that true? Holy shit. That is true. Bring Where's Will, where's Will for his celebration?
Jerrell:Wait, no. Yeah, no. He picked wolves though. yeah, he's like a westham sympathizer, but
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:west.
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:he didn't back Westham,
Christian:That's his catfish.
Jerrell:ago.
Christian:his catfish?
Jerrell:it is
Christian:Yeah. Yeah.
Jerrell:back his catfish.
Christian:Yeah. Let's see. We got man city and the Android beating, burnt the sizzling cherries. Three one cherries. Were on a good run. Yeah. Couldn't take it against man City. And then we have Sunderland tying Everson. One, one. Good. Good time. Good time.
Jerrell:Good time for all. Yeah. So Crystal Palace, B Brentford Matea scores in the first half. Nathan Collins gives up an angle goal. That was it. Palace just cruised to the victory, just rough. B Brentford has looked really solid in the past couple weeks. Beating the likes of Liverpool and progressing in the car about cup, but all good things have to come to an end, not able to get it done at Hurst Park, unfortunately, but hopefully they, they look to rebound week.
Christian:Yeah, for sure. Led my getting the start. I forgot who we replaced, but he was done with the sickness led just his only, only his second start for, for this. For the season, was able to assist on the first goal, and I'm gonna count it as an assist on the second throw because the own goal came from Lerma throw in. I gotta give my Colombian folks some props there. But yeah, crystal Palace, after going about, what was it, it was like their 19 game undefeated streak. They, they hit a bit of a slump, which, can't win them all. I think they were one list in their last three Premier League games. Finally getting good victory. Get some points on the board. I think this game was, they were, this was like a good game because they were placed 10 11 last week. So it, it was a good matchup there.
Jerrell:Yep, yep, yep. Crystal Palace. Showing out for the home fans. This one kind of surprised me. Nottingham Forest and Manny United. I was at Alehouse. I went to Alehouse to watch the arsenal Burn League game because apparently at least Alehouse has all the sports. We went to the Davenport Sports Bar and they're like, we are a sports bar, but we only show football and we don't have ESPN two. And it was super confusing and I don't think I explained that
Christian:I think that's just called a bar.
Jerrell:Yeah, it's just a
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:that point, they were just like, oh, we have all the football games. I'm just like, but you do, because I was like, oh, we came in to watch out Classico. I didn't tell you this. That's right. We came in to watch out Classico and, and I knew it was on ES, ESPN too. I was like, all right, we're just gonna go and watch it. And they're just like, oh yeah, we had people come in asking to watch that game, but we don't have e ESPN two. And I'm just
Christian:Do they not have ESPN plus?
Jerrell:I'm like, if you didn't have Peacock or USA, like I would get that, that I understood. I knew I was not watching Arsenal at, at this bar,
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:like, you have to have ES ESPN too. It's like, it's like almost a given. It's always bundled with ESPN, but sorry to the YouTube TV subscribers out there. You, you don't get SPN anymore,
Christian:Boo them.
Jerrell:but this bar had, did not have ES ESPN two, and then they eventually found it and they're like, oh, we paid for it. Now I'm just like, y'all should have just had it.
Christian:Don't even get me started with ESPN in their Tom Foolery Fucking Disney. We're about to get demonetized because we're saying, fuck Disney. Oh, no, man. I'm a little, I'm a little upset that I'm paying for ESPN Plus and I can't watch Monday Night Football because fucking Disney wants a million gajillion dollars just for the rights for it. So no one's watching Monday Night Football anymore. That's,
Jerrell:fine. I'll, I'll watch the little graph. I'll watch the little graph under my fantasy player and see the, the line move slowly to the left or the right.
Christian:No, there's, there's websites for that, bud. There's websites for that there.
Jerrell:yeah, I know, but I'm just sitting in bed and I'm just like
Christian:Fair.
Jerrell:But yeah, no, back to Nottingham Forest and Man United. I did see that United did take an early lead and I was like the United Strand. It's gonna be four games in a row. I spoke too soon. He's back to zero now. Man. United with Nottingham Forest. Sean Dice gets his first point
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:The tricky trees
Christian:out to Mojo because Manu was, should have won this game. Both go, both of Manu ga goals came from set pieces and the, the. Diallo an extra minute, almost had a game winner, but it was saved at the line by Mojo. It was a fucking bullet of a shot in Mojo. Just the defender, not even the goalie Defend Mojo. Just crossed the, crossed the and saved it. It, yeah, it was a, if you get a chance to watch that, it's pretty solid. It was a pretty solid saved by the defender.
Jerrell:that one out. But Yep. Man United, hey, it's fine. They, they routed off three in a row. Looking pretty good. You just wanna see the pieces coming together. So I, I don't think ev, I don't think it's panic stations at Old Trafford at this point in the season now definitely four weeks ago, but looking a lot better for
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:Lose drawing to forest isn't ideal, but you still got points. You got a point.
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:Next one. Yeah Burnley and Arsenal. I did watch this whole game. It was just a very relaxing game. It was just kind of like, no stress chilling. Arsenal has not conceded a goal since September 28th. And then as of two days ago when they played Slavia pr, it's h straight clean sheets in all competitions.
Christian:good shit. Good shit. It was a typical Arsenal, arsenal game. It had it, it had all for Arsenal, it had a clean sheet, it had a set peace goal. It had injury to major players. I think Yoko and Zu Mindy had to be subbed off. I don't remember the status. I don't,
Jerrell:think Zuma, Mindy's injury might be more serious, but we're not. We're not in the
Christian:but yeah, just like a, a, a, just a. Standard Arsenal game. It had it all.
Jerrell:Everything you wanted
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:and six points clear. Second place,
Christian:Oh, and ooh, I had this stat before the Prada game or during the Prada game, but one more clean sheet will equal the club record from 1903. Now, I do not know if that's the club record in all competitions or prem, but still really impressive to be tying a, a
Jerrell:pretty
Christian:record? Yeah. From 1903 over a century old.
Jerrell:I think it's the eighth straight clean sheet ties the record.
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:I think they beat it. If they get a clean sheet next week.
Christian:Yeah, and it's just Arsenal defense right now is, it's crazy. We've led in three goals all season. There's only, there's been five and even a crazier set. There's been five games all season that the opposing, that a team has not done at least one shot on target. Three of those five games where against a. So Ray's just, Ray's just, he might as well just be making a cup of tea back there. Man, I, I, I don't know if he's a good goalie. I haven't seen him play in a very long time.
Jerrell:He's, he's been, he's been on international break for the
Christian:Pretty much, bro. Just adding another striker out there won't make a difference. Yeah.
Jerrell:Geez. Yeah. Arsenal, definitely playing. Topnotch, soccer, football, everything. Brighton leads Danny Beck scores early in this game. Diego Gomez gets the brace, wolves cruises to a victory over leads. Do you have anything to add to that one?
Christian:Denny Beck's trying to fucking revive his career at a, at a young,
Jerrell:schools on the season?
Christian:a young 35 years of age.
Jerrell:He can do it.
Christian:I think he's what is it? I think he's leading all English players this season and go score six goals in the last five games. Denny? Beck's just having a good fucking season and yeah, leads had a horrible game. They didn't get a shout on target until the 85th minute. It was just Brian all the way. But yeah, not much more to add on this one. But yeah, Denny Welbeck, shout out to Denny Welbeck. He hasn't played for the English team, I think since 2017, 2018. Something like that. It's been a while, but shout out to Denny Welbeck.
Jerrell:He is having a, a renaissance, if you
Christian:Mm-hmm.
Jerrell:We had a couple, we had a couple shutouts this week too. Fulham beating the wolves, three zero, but
Christian:Oh
Jerrell:manager got fired.
Christian:yeah. The manager got fired, but more importantly, what will lost. His That's gone. Yeah.
Jerrell:he lost.
Christian:What was it again?
Jerrell:I asked him, I was like, oh, have you listened? Have you listened to the pod? He was like, no. I was like, oh, that's crazy. You're about to wear a real Madrid jersey. So if he doesn't respond to this episode, he definitely has to wear the real Maji jersey. He's y'all buy it for me. I'm like, I'm sure Christian has extra.
Christian:Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Wolves just can't get anything going. For the second season in a row, they haven't won any of their opening 10 Premier League games. It's, it's, it's crazy. Back to back starts last year, they had a good push towards the end that came right after they sacked their manager last year. I don't know, maybe they're trying to do the same thing, hoping for the same result this year.
Jerrell:Hire
Christian:mentioned earlier he got sacked a few days ago, pretty much just after, like within 24 hours after that loss. But yeah, it's an abysmal start from. From Moes, they just haven't been able to get there.
Jerrell:Yeah, just looking at the wolves, no wins. Negative 15. Goal D. Differential tied for lease goals in the season. And the goal differential. Speak to it too, but I also believe they have the most goals. Conceded. Yep. 22
Christian:they're so
Jerrell:is next at
Christian:fun.
Jerrell:Yeah, it's, it's awful. Yeah. Marco Silva getting fired. What? Why, especially after a three oh win. Is it just'cause it's oh, this is the direction
Christian:Who got fired?
Jerrell:to go. Did you say Marco Silver Silva got fired? Didn't you say Folo Manager got
Christian:No. Wolves Manager got
Jerrell:Wolves Manager. That
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:more sense. I was like, wow. The Folo manager got fired.
Christian:Yeah. It's like we don't, we don't win around here, bud. Yeah.
Jerrell:Yeah. I was like, that's crazy. I was like, with that result, was it just always in the carts? Wolves Manager got fired. That makes sense. Okay.
Christian:It didn't even last the season, I don't think. But yeah, moving on, Tottenham just had the worst fucking game of forever. I, it, it's, it was just not fun to watch that game. It was just wave after wave of Chelsea attack Tottenham. I think they scored a 0.05 xg. Which mentioned earlier is it's their lowest. And Chelsea just has the upper hand on Tottenham. Chelsea has only lost one of the last 18 games against the Spurs. Yeah, and I think we mentioned in last, last week where Tottenham is really good on the road, but whenever they're playing a home game, they just can't get shit connected.
Jerrell:really hate their home supporters. They do not wanna deliver a good performance at
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:And one was an interesting matchup too,'cause both Tottenham and Chelsea are very like. They're inconsistent, but I, I guess Tottenham is just consistent when they're away. And with the barrage of attacks, like you're saying from Chelsea, you'd think they would score more than one, one goal, but one's all you need when the, when,
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:clean sheet the other side. But yeah, only three shots for Tottenham. Only one was on target
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:it probably, I have to go back and watch the game, but it probably rolled at the net.
Christian:Yeah,
Jerrell:But yeah,
Christian:think Joe,
Jerrell:a good showing for cotton.
Christian:I think we mentioned last week where Chelsea has been, hasn't been able to find like a consistent nine. They haven't been able to find out who's gonna score their goals and this, this, this showed it. I think Joe Draw, Pedro scored, but I think it's, if I remember correctly, he hasn't scored since last August. And a personal barren streak that had stretched 705 minutes across all competitions.
Jerrell:Oh boy.
Christian:Yeah, that's, that's a tough one. That is a tough one.
Jerrell:hoping to find some more consistency with the three points that they got. This past week, Liverpool, Ashton Villa, the team on a four game losing streak against the team on a four game winning streak. Who would you think would win this one? Christian?
Christian:It's,
Jerrell:had money on the villains.
Christian:I didn't, it's Liverpool. You can't really, I, I, I, most, I'd probably be like a tie. I think it's just, I don't like the villains. Scratch that. I don't like Emmy. So I'm just like, nah, s Miller can lose all the time. But you can't, you really can't deny Liverpool. They still have some good pieces. Although this, luck. I think luck was on Liverpool's side. The first goal came from a, a horrendous Emmy mistake that left the, the, the net wide open for San San Holy shit, Sala. Liverpool of 2020 score an open gold net and villains had two shots that bounced off the woodwork and they just weren't able to capitalize.
Jerrell:Tough break. Yeah, I would've expected Villa to at least put up a goal or so, but yeah, it just didn't go their way in Liverpool are able to break their slide. And that also went into the Champions league as well,
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:Good, good on Liverpool for getting right back at it. Sitting third on the table now, and not, not in a awful position. 18 points with six wins, four losses. So sitting right there with man city,
Christian:Yeah, it's, it's crowded Top 10, apart from, from arsenal, I think two through, what is it? Two through 10 are separated by four points, so it's, it's so wide open. Anybody can, two through 11 actually are separated by four points.
Jerrell:Yeah, it's it's tight. We're at the start of the season, only 10 games, and we're not even gonna throw all the way through. There's not a whole lot of separation Arsenal fortunate enough to have the largest gap between places
Christian:Yep.
Jerrell:so far, it's six points. Who we got next? The hammers verse. Newcastle will's, catfish. Put three one against Newcastle. Newcastle. A team that is second in the league go really to Arsenal in clean sheets and strong defensive play. Gave up three so anybody can get Got Christian.
Christian:Any day of the week. Yeah.
Jerrell:And Westham got Newcastle.
Christian:Newcastle before this only had eight goals. But same thing like Newcastle wasn't able to create, hasn't been able to create goals either. So yeah, just not doing good.
Jerrell:is where 10 goals scored on the season, like middle of the pack really. Have conceded 11, granted, three of those just came from this past week, so before that you're walking with eight, eight goals conceded. Tied to Manchester City, Nick Pope is, has five clean sheets.
Christian:Ooh.
Jerrell:when the defense is on, it's on,
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:it just wasn't,
Christian:Not, not, not this time.
Jerrell:not against West Sam,
Christian:Yeah, it looked like it was gonna go Newcastle's way Newcastle scored in the fourth minute. I think Murphy scored it, but yeah, they just couldn't, they had nothing. Westham went on to win to score three straight and took the lead on this one
Jerrell:Yep. And Nuno Santo, he gets his first one with the hammers and at
Christian:nun, no.
Jerrell:great result, great result there, man. City, Bournemouth you alluded to earlier, cherries were pretty hot. They had a chance to go second on the table. With a win here fall to Man City three one, the Android. He gets a brace and look at that. Somebody else from Man City gets a goal. I think that's the fifth goal from somebody other than Holland for Man City, when Holland has 13 total on the season.
Christian:Yeah. It's interesting to see what man city God forbid how long gets Holland. Injured, but I, Nancy, right now is currently just like over-reliant on Lon and I think they're perhaps well aware of it.
Jerrell:Yeah, he has 13. And next is a four way tie between Igor Thiago, Brentford, Danny Wabe, Brighton Simon of of Bournemouth, and Mateo, crystal Palace. They all have six. Holland has 13.
Christian:Who's the highest arsenal goal scorer right now?
Jerrell:That's a great question. I do not have that
Christian:Oh, that's crazy. I don't have that one either.
Jerrell:I'll get, I'll get back to you that. Yoris has four or five. I wouldn't be surprised if Big Gabby is, is leading Arsenal.
Christian:Oh, wait, I can find that out in five seconds.
Jerrell:All
Christian:We have semi, you got all the sixes and Bueno has four. Oh, where the fuck are we? ES has four. He is top. He's tied with. E or from Sutherland? He tied with a lot of people. I'm not even gonna name them. There's like, there's 12 players tied with four goals.
Jerrell:Yeah. But the goals come from
Christian:Mm-hmm.
Jerrell:We don't have to worry about that.
Christian:Especially, or defense.
Jerrell:definitely Sutherland. Everton, the fun facts, Sutherland is unbeaten at home.
Christian:Ooh.
Jerrell:And they, they got the, they had to scrunch for that draw against Everton. They were down for a good part of the game and they found it, they left it late. And, and Drew Jack Greis had an assist. I believe he is number four, or no, he's tied for first on the assist board. So Jack Greis ish is contributing to his team and, and, and getting, getting those results. I believe the goal came from, is it Shock Chaka
Christian:It was a deflected shot by Shaka who's also having a pretty solid season. He, he's, he's like the, the lead man over there at Sunderland. It was a great signing from Sunderland after he was playing for the MLS. He's, he's, he's still a quality player. He's third right now in assist. He's, he's, he's a solid.
Jerrell:Yeah. It's definitely contributing and keeping Sutherland up there at fourth with 18 points with that three, with that three-way tie with Portmouth and Liverpool. Sutherland, huge surprise. 10, 10 games into the season. I think anybody saw this one coming.
Christian:Mexico.
Jerrell:Mexico did. Yeah.
Christian:But yeah, it's, I'm interested to see how far they can go. I'm also interested in a set that I don't have,'cause I just thought of this right now. What was the highest finished table position of a newly promoted team? And we,
Jerrell:me
Christian:I can probably ask Chad GPT and we'll have it ready for next week. But that's a good thing to watch out for, to see if Sunland can at least break that record because they're having a great run. I'm sure their fans are, are. Are just ecstatic about it. Like you said, they, they win all home games. They've been a being at the stadium of light, which not gonna lie, that's a pretty cool fucking name for a stadium. The stadium of light for the Black cats. Come on. I might have to buy Aland jersey.
Jerrell:looking up for the black
Christian:I might have to buy a Sunland jersey
Jerrell:That's crazy. Okay. All right.
Christian:jerseys are cool, man. It's my itch.
Jerrell:Yeah. Champions League happened. Champions League was on the fourth and the fifth Arsenal. I mostly have the results for the Premier League, so you can add in anybody else you wanted to give a shout out to. But Slavia PR Arsenal and got blinked. What's new? Arsenal tends to not allow their people to score. There was a scary penalty that got called off. Every Arsenal fan was shaking in their boots as if they were about to lose the game, but.
Christian:What do you mean? No clean sheet?
Jerrell:get it done. Three zero. Liverpool Real Madrid was was a fun one to watch,
Christian:it
Jerrell:a little bit
Christian:for
Jerrell:Depends who you
Christian:Fort?
Jerrell:Yeah.
Christian:All I saw was Corsis just fucking shot after shot. Poor guy.
Jerrell:Liverpool get the result one zero. So they're looking good after their, I keep saying it after the four game slide. But you like to see these results. They're huge for the confidence and huge for the defending champs. Tottenham took care of business against Copenhagen four zero. So the first three matches here. The Premier League just blinked everyone they played against. And then Chelsea comes along. Chelsea ties uraba to two in a match that some argue that Chelsea should have. Should have won. I think they, they substituted, they had seven fresh bodies from their previous match. Maybe they thought they had the game, I don't know. But KBA gets the draw on their home turf man, city dispatches, doorman four one in a match to just, it wasn't even close. And Newcastle, also blank Athletic club. So great results for Premier League in the Champions League,
Christian:For Chelsea?
Jerrell:Except for Chelsea. Yeah, the draws, whatever. But if you look at them all together, all six teams only allowed three goals.
Christian:Yeah. Just a touch up on the Ram Madrid game that as a Madrid fan, that was not a good game. We just got completely dominated. Like you can even tell in the stats I mean we, we got 61% of the possession, so we were able to move the ball around, but only one big chance created to their four. We had eight total shots to their 17. COIs had eight saves. COIs was honestly the reason why we fucking didn't lose it. It wasn't like 2, 3 0'cause Corix just had an amazing game. So much so that I might have won player of the game on while he was on the losing side. So yeah, four yellow cards for Madrid. It was not a good game for us.
Jerrell:Yeah. And I know we don't talk about Real Madrid a whole lot, but what was their biggest struggles against Liverpool? Like usually Liverpool so far has just been a team that's been very leaky in the back, die by the long ball kind of thing. Is that just not real Madrid style or they just couldn't find a way or Liverpool was just more compact and just understood the assignment.
Christian:I think they just understood the assignment. We didn't switch up it, it's, it's our normal starting lineup and we just had a, a really bad, bad timing out there. Va they got injured. I gotta keep up with that. He got re su he got subbed off on the 90th minute, so I got, I'm not sure how he's doing right now, but yeah, it was, it was just not fun. Fun to keep up with that game.
Jerrell:Yeah, from the Paramount desk TT was definitely like all over Vinny Junior about his
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:best, best way to put it, I guess is, is he just doesn't push the ball, so there are a lot of examples in Liverpool game where I think Bradley was the player who was covering him. Vinny would just wanna take him on, on a one B one instead of just like pushing the ball further out into space and just making it a foot race. And according to the, the analyst desk, it took a lot of opportunities that Real Madrid could have had to like, cross into the box or at least Liverpool panicking. It just didn't happen. Vinny was just like, oh, I'm just gonna take you on and, and just beat you at footwork. So
Christian:Oh, okay. Suzy's back. I just heard a, a puppy cry, so I just gotta make sure Daphne's cool. Oh yeah. Suzy's here. We're chilling.
Jerrell:But yeah, champions League will be back, I believe in two weeks we're on than on Thanksgiving week. Champions League will be back. There'll be a huge matchup arsenal to play. Byron the one in two spots in, in Champions League, big, big game. I don't know the other ones off the top of my head. That is my fault. But we will talk about those the closer we get to that.
Christian:Oh yeah. Ooh. Thanksgiving Week Champions League game while I'm on vacation in Austin. Hell yeah. That's gonna be fun.
Jerrell:Nice. We also had Europa conference today and with this one, crystal Palace was playing Crystal Palace. Took on stalling. Stalling, stalling. I
Christian:Almar,
Jerrell:almar. You
Christian:AZ
Jerrell:it. I.
Christian:Almar
Jerrell:And they won three won in that game.
Christian:shit.
Jerrell:Sars got a brace, actually. Scar SAR got a brace and La LaCroix looks like a rotation. I'm not familiar with them. He scored early. Chris Palace getting the win there sitting ninth on the table in Europa conference. And we also had Europa League, Ashton Villa and Nottingham Forest playing in this one villa playing Tel Aviv.
Christian:Fuck'em up.
Jerrell:And
Christian:them up.
Jerrell:Ashton Villa Beating Tel Aviv two Zero and Nottingham Forest, the draw against Strum. Gretz, which I believe is a German team. Uh uh, it doesn't
Christian:I'm gonna lie. Your rope, your AL League is a little deep for me.
Jerrell:Yeah, it is a little bit deep, right? ASIN Villa sitting sixth on the table in Euro Europa League. Europa League is just one step down from Champions League, though. Conference league is is the third tier European and Nottingham four sitting 23rd in Europa League, both sitting in the playoff rounds. So that's match day four for Europa
Christian:Yeah, Europa League gets interesting to me once we get like past like the group stages, like the initial run. I'm not gonna watch a Tel Aviv versus as Villa Game, but
Jerrell:No, definitely not.
Christian:there's so much soccer at all time. It's great.
Jerrell:I completely, I put it on the schedule and then I completely forgot to check those results before the pod started, so that one's on me for not putting in the scores. But yeah, that's Europa League and Conference League and Champions League. Woo hoo. We did it. No FA cup. Fa cup did kick off. The first round did go through, but no really notable matches'cause they're. There are a lot of league two, league one sides in that tournament right now, and it'd just be a lot to go in and cover all of that. But now we've got match day 11. Christian, you wanna give us the rundown?
Christian:Let's do it. Next week we got, or next week, couple days. In a couple days we got Tottenham versus Manu. That's gonna be interesting. Tottenham just having a bad time trying to create, Hey baby, it's okay. I'll give you food in 10 minutes. Sorry, Daphne. Break here.
Jerrell:That's how we motivate tot in
Christian:Yeah. We got Everton against Fulham. Westham versus Burnley. Black Cats are, I'm gonna have to postpone my jersey by, but the Black Cats against Arsenal.
Jerrell:home turf.
Christian:Ooh, ooh. City of light. Damn. That might come to an end. That might come to an end. Chelsea Against the Wolves, we got Crystal Palace v Brighton, Aston Villa versus the cherries. Brentford playing Newcastle. We got the freaky forests. They're not really freaky anymore, dude. They're
Jerrell:really. No.
Christian:the flacid forest versus
Jerrell:Okay.
Christian:you sounded so concerned.
Jerrell:Oh, workshop it.
Christian:Full workshop. What's another F?
Jerrell:Deforested
Christian:That's a D. That's a D.
Jerrell:Yeah.
Christian:I'm gonna stick with it. The flacid forest versus the leads in man city versus Liverpool. What games you got on your, on your docket for this weekend?
Jerrell:So funny enough, we do have a one verse four and a two verse three in Sutherland verse R, snow and man city verse Liverpool. So the top four, we're all gonna play each
Christian:Nice.
Jerrell:week. It might be a huge shakeup unless everybody draws, it also gives the opportunity for teams lower. Like you said, I think you said it was four points, the gap between second down to 11. Also an opportunity for other teams to, to move up into that space. So definitely those games are. Are big on the radar. They're not at the same time. So definitely watch them. I, I always gonna watch Brentford and New Castle, new Castle lost to Westham. There's hope for Brentford. Brentford is at home. Come on. New Castle. Can't score. Let's do it. Do not give Nick Pope his sixth clean sheet. God forbid Forrest leads battle towards the bottom right there. I think they're, yeah, they're separated by about four points.
Christian:Five points.
Jerrell:Five points four is trying to get outta that regulate,
Christian:I think four. I think the wolves are on scene's. Watch right now. What's the special number? The 12 Points or not, not Saints Watch, but like the record watch for the worst?
Jerrell:It might as well be Saint S Watch, but I think it's 12, 11,
Christian:Yeah, I think it's 12. Yeah,
Jerrell:but it's definitely low. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah. I, I don't know. It's tough being a Wolves fan. I do. They still show up. I
Christian:I think they do. A couple weeks ago there was one of their players that pretty much think the Wolves saying Hey. Any other fan base would have an empty stadium. And just pretty much saying thanks to the, to the supporters. But yeah, it's, it's tough. It's tough, especially like when, when you're out there, you football just runs. It's, it's part of the community. It's part of just everyday life. They eat briefs, sleep, football, it must be tough being a diehard fan and just watching your team day after week, after week, just getting destroyed. Especially I think they spent a good amount of money on reinforcements this, this season, so they can do better from last season, but it just, it, it has not gone their way. But this is the chance against Chelsea who cannot find a good score or a consistent story.
Jerrell:Do get a point.
Christian:Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa. You want them to increase their their points by 50% in one game, bro?
Jerrell:want anybody to be the worst. The fans show up. The fans deserve to, at least deserve to
Christian:Yeah.
Jerrell:League, at least for the fans.
Christian:For sure. For sure.
Jerrell:But yeah, STAM Stanford Bridge while traveling to Stanford Bridge. It's gonna be a tough one. Chelsea is inconsistent, but. I'd be surprised if they lost to the wolves. I'll just say that.
Christian:Oh, for sure. So that's, that's what we, that's what we love to see. As long as it's not our team. When it's not our team, we really love to see a good underdog story when it's against our team. Fuck the underdogs,
Jerrell:another bottom of the table matchup too. Westham versus Burnley, I think they can actually flip spots. They might be able to flip spots if Westham can get the, get The Wind. Burnley has, has a chance to separate itself from the bottom three. So that would be a good match to, to check out as well. Hopefully, get right game after arsenal. Is it, eh, I mean it's just Arsenal. You just have to respect that team. But be traveling to Westham London Stadium hopefully get some points.
Christian:In order to
Jerrell:can
Christian:flip, even if Westham wins, I think there'll still be a spot below Burnley unless it ends up being like a five zero win. Burnley got two goals against them. Yeah, it's not too bad, but it would have to be like a, a, a severe ass whooping at that point, or
Jerrell:do it?
Christian:actually, no. Maybe just a two zero and then it'll be a head-to-head matchup. I don't know how that placement goes after gold differential. Three zero would definitely cause them to leapfrog. Yeah.
Jerrell:I actually don't know how that goes. I think then, and then it's so many goals you could see. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. Then I think head, I think head-to-head is like literally the last determining factor.
Christian:Yeah. And then other than that, I'm, I'm really excited to see, not really excited. I'm excited to see Brian versus Crystal Palace. Brian on the back of Denny, Beck's, excellent start of the season. Three Zero went up the leads and then Crystal Palace finally trying to regain back their momentum. To try to get back to those 19 Unbe games. But yeah, they're currently sitting nine 12, I'm sorry, they're currently sitting. Bang, bang, bang. I just had it. Yeah, nine and 10 on the table. So a good mid table matchup both right next to each other. Both just got good previous week. So that's gonna be a good one to watch as well.
Jerrell:Yeah. Last week, crystal Palace played Brentford, who was right there with them, knocked them down. Now they'll take on Brighton. Can they do the same?
Christian:I'm gonna go for, yes.
Jerrell:Yes. Yes. It'll happen. Yeah. Palace is at home, so yeah. All right, another perfect pod. If you
Christian:one.
