Hello? Hello, this is William with the Football Fellows. I'm doing something a little bit different with the international break last week. We could not get to the pod just as life was life in. So, um, at this point we decided to just kind of squeeze in a little bit of a international break teaser before we rev up for the, um, the rest of the season. So, um, once again, football fellows, this is episode 69. Something nice. Um, over this one. We'll just do a quick touch up on the CarVal Cup final. Um, we'll review match date 31, which happened, um, at this point over a week ago. So we'll just briefly touch on, touch on those and, um, then just kind of also list out just kind of what we're looking forward to for the fa cup quarterfinals UCL previews before we're back next Wednesday. Um, about what that April 8th, April 9th. You should have a new recording, new episode listed there. So, um, couple things, um, of note drill. Didn't put the new locations in here, but we do have socials you can catch us at. The Football Fellows on Twitter, blue Sky, Instagram, web. Um, we have a website, football fellows.com and you can email us as well at the Football fellows@gmail.com. Um, couple things to note. Um, over the last, um, last week on Mo, he's announced that he's, um, gonna be fully leaving, uh, Liverpool, um, at the end of his contract under the season. Um, we had news as well, Igor t no longer, um, spoiler alert, um, no longer with Spurs. He's been replaced by, um, Roberto Zerbe, um, from bride and coach, uh, former an Olympic Marcel coach. Um, he has a five year deal, um, with no relegation clause, um, to kind of appoint and kind of lead the ship going forward for Spurs. So, so, uh, short, low admin real there. Um, real quick, um, other things that went on care about cup vinyl. Last game played for Arsenal. This was, um, over a week ago, arsenal lost zero two to Man City. Um, man City, uh, deployed a new tactic kind of. Um, and a key mistake from Kappa, um, allowed the first goal to happen and then Man City were able to get, uh, claim a crucial trophy for them, uh, to put their hat on for a successful season while Arsenal. Um, they kind of te it at period of the game. I thought the first half was more or less even then, um, once that second goal hit from Man City, A Zone didn't look like they really had, um, any get back. Um, but, um, car Be Cup final. That one, one competition is done. We have three more for the rest of the season, um, to pay attention for at least within the realms of our pilot. So, uh, match Date 31. This happened over the same weekend, um, before this international break that just hit, we saw, uh, burn Myth in Manchester United. End up splitting points with a contentious result. Um, there's four goals over 20 minutes. There's two penalties. Uh, Harry McGuire picked up a red and un goal. Um, all things considered a fair point for both. Brian was able to live upset Liverpool two one behind a Danny Beck brace, um, giving them a huge win, uh, win against Liverpool. Liverpool. They continue to wobble a little bit in the Premier League, but Brian had won four of their last five after. Um. Uh, similar wobble, uh, in a previous stretch of games as well, but they're firmly kind of set within that mid table area. Currently, we also have full and Burnley, uh, Burnley Lose three one to full him on the road. Scott Parker, he's beat by his, uh, former team as it looks like Burnley's gonna be, um, one of the three relegation teams. They're 10 points drift as s uh, of safety. Fulham are able to get three goals after trailing. Uh, falling behind 1.0. They get three goals over the last 30 minutes. Everton Chelsea, a 3.0 result for Everton. Chelsea continued to spiral in league in all competitions and what's been a was a very tough, uh, march for them. There's been talks about Liam, Russ, and year's job security over the next coming months. And then also, um, in regards to players, you hear, uh, inklings of Enzo Fernandez to potentially Ella Madrid. Uh, mark Rela, um, talking about just, um, his aspirations going forward, so. The next, uh, six weeks will be very crucial for this Chelsea project. It's looking like leads Brentford ended up in a zero zero, um, tie. Uh, leads continue to run form, including six games without a win, and they've gone four games without a, without a goal. Um, honestly, this tie, it's a missed opportunity for both leads. Um, they had a chance to give themselves a little bit more safety in, uh, at a home game. Away from that allegation zone Brentford, they had a chance to kind of push forward a little bit more, uh, to get further into that u into European League, uh, positions. However, it wasn't to be as both teams take a, take a split of points and had to leave this game feeling underwhelmed. Newcastle Sunderland ended up being a one two tie. Uh, one two in Fan River Sunderland. Sunderland are able to get the double on the season. Um, they went at St. James Park behind a late Brian Robbie winner. Newcastle have now lost eight of their last 11 Premier League games. Aston Villa gets a huge to win over Westham. Um, they set five points clear. Fifth place Liverpool currently as they're looking to secure UCL, which it should be realistic as long as they don't have a crazy, um, bad form. Over the last seven games, uh, Westham, they are still currently sitting in the drop. Currently, they're about a point back after. This week's big result that we were looking forward to on our last episode of The Pot. Spurs Lose Zero three at Home to Nine Ham Forest. The atmosphere at, uh, the Hot Spur Stadium was a one. Um, they played great for about a good 45, but once nine ham forests were able to eat their first goal, um, we didn't see any bounce back from Spurs. This of course, ended up, um, with Igor Tudor losing his job over the international break. Um, he didn't do any post game words, uh, you know. Uh, as his father, he found out his father had passed as well. So, uh, well wishes to him, of course. Um, but Ingham forests are able to get a huge result, get them out of the allegation zone, and Spurs now said only a point clear. Um, that being said, we'll have Premier League back on April 10th. So, um, we're, I'm recording this today on April 1st, so we're nine days away for that, for some teams getting extended break. Um, in the meantime though, we're also going be looking at the FA A Cup quarterfinals. Next episode, I swear to God, we'll finally have that power rank ready for, um, them. It'll be like a good light cleanse cleanser. As we get into the final stretch of the season, you'll see what we got, right? You'll see a lot of what we got wrong and, um, what some predictions for the rest of the season. Um, for FA Cup coming up this weekend, we're gonna have man, city versus liver pool. Um, probably the tie of the round there, Chelsea versus Port Vales. Chelsea looks to find somewhere to, you know, hang their hat on and get a positive run of form going Southampton, um, versus Arsenal Southampton at home. And then Westham versus Lee's as well too. Lower table, um, lower on the table. Teams fighting relegation, um, will meet as well for a chance for a Wembley ber in the FA cup semis. Um, we also are gonna have UCL quarter finals, like ones coming up, um, this week as well. Uh, matchups of course, are gonna be Rail Madrid versus Byron Sporting. The Portugal will be playing Arsenal Barcelona versus Atco Madrid and PSG versus Liverpool. So the first name we mentioned on that, that's gonna be the home team. Leg one, followed by leg two will be the following week. Um, rail Madrid, Bryan Byron looks to be, um, the closest tie of the round Royal Madrid, obviously for their UCL pedigree. Byron, with just being one of the best teams game to game, end to end in Europe. Um, so far this week, um, so far this season, Royal Madrid, of course, um, have been riding. Was, I believe 10 of their last 11 undefeated against Byron. So whether they're splitting points or winning on pens or winning, just, you know, getting results. Real Madrid has been bossing this time. Byron's been better. Um, I'd say game to game, um, and looked more complete. But u you know, UC L's, a different beast's, real Madrid look to get two and three years, um, and add to their trophy cabinet. So include the Portugal. Um, they just be. Bodo glimpse, they're gonna be facing Arsenal Arsenal considered by many to be also a top side in Europe. Um, first game result's gonna be huge for sport. Include on the way to the Emirates. They're gonna be hoping to get a big result, um, to set in some uncertainties and insecurities for Arsenal after bouncing out a competition arsenal versus, versus at Letgo Madrid. This one's closer to my heart. This, of course, is a rematch of, uh, the. Re semifinals where KO won the first high four. Oh Barcelona. Were able to win the second one, 3.0, but they still got bounced. Um, this first game will be at the camp new, so we'll see if there's a similarly lopsided result. Um, and I believe their last four or five games have been barn burners with multiple goals to watch out for that. And then a rematch of last year's round of 16 matchup between PSG and Liverpool PSG last year, um, had to work their way through the playoff phase to earn the route right to play Liverpool who were first seed. Um, overall after the, the league phase of the last year's UCL, um, of course PSG were able to eke out in what was a very, very close and great, great tie last year. Um, Liverpool, they're facing a little bit more questions. PSG looking a little less dominant than they did at this point last year. The court of finals should be popping first match in Park the Prince. Um, that being said, of course, like I mentioned, we do have those socials. Feel free to hit us up. Um, we'll stimulate, um, a little bit more reaction on us. I'm not gonna lie, it can be better about, um, being on certain aspects of it, but like I said, we have those socials, we have those Instas, if you have a chance to rate us on Spotify or wherever streaming platform you're on. Um, it really does help, um, with the reach of the pod. Um, we will be back next week. Once again, we're gonna go ahead and review the FA cup quarterfinals. We'll have those UCL ties, leg one reviews and pre uh, predictions for the second legs. And then we'll also get a preview for Match Day 32 as we head into the final stretch of the season prior to a World Cup summer. So once again, this has been the Football Fellows. Thank you again for listening. Um, the full group will be back next week, but we hope you have a great one. Goodbye.
