Jerrell

Episode 71 Arsenal's really bad. No. Good month.

Christian

Oh my

Jerrell

awful for the gunners

Christian

my God. You, you remember a month ago when we were on top of the world and then we do that thing that we're really good at.

Jerrell

final

Christian

Uh, and then we did that thing that we're really good at choking.

Jerrell

and jinx it.

Christian

Uh, I don't even know why we drinks it. We were so. We were so, you know, straightforward with it. No one ever said anything that would've probably jeopardize our jinx.

Jerrell

because it wouldn't have been us if we didn't jinx it. Uh, today is Thursday, April 23rd, 2026. we bring you this podcast from. A, a dark place, but I think, I think we will recover and overcome. We'll see how the rest of the season finishes out. Uh, I'm Jarrell Christian's here.

Christian

What's up?

Jerrell

will is out. Uh, we might have to talk him back from the ledge after this pod, but, uh, we have to check in on him 'cause he made, uh, made a lot of promises. He, uh, popped out his chest last week. Had a lot to say. Uh, it backfired I feel for him. It's

Christian

I feel for us. I, I'm hurting. I'm hurting. We watched the, we watched the game at my place on Sunday. Was it Sunday? Was it sat? It was Sunday. At Sunday, a buddy came over trying to have a conversation with us, and we were just like, we're too busy stressing the fuck out. Um, the only goal we got was off of some Donna Ramma mistake. It was, it was just, I mean, it looked, it looked like we played better in most parts. We were creating, we were attacking, we were moving the ball pretty well. Um, opposed to that bullshit. Pass it back, pass it back again. Pass it back again.

Jerrell

Well, we'll get into that as we, as we move our way down the list. I got a free Guinness outta that game, so, uh, I can't, I can't be all doom and gloom for me. Uh, a couple dates we had the fa cub semifinals is that will be happening over this weekend along with our Premier League matchups. Um, but we also have socials guys, we have socials, we have Blue Sky, we have x Twitter, Instagram, we have football fellows website ski Do will make sure he's doing all right.

Christian

Skate at will will make. Better

Jerrell

Uh, and we have a couple new locations. Boston. I thought Boston would've listened

Christian

Boston?

Jerrell

at some point in our history, but no. Uh, new location is Boston, Massachusetts and Leeds. Leeds chimed in

Christian

Hell yeah.

Jerrell

week, so.

Christian

yeah. Good shit leads.

Jerrell

out to you guys. Appreciate, appreciate the listens. I'm gonna go ahead and run down match day 33. We can run down, I'll run down the games. I'll probably stop at each one and cover a little bit. Um, we, there's only one that, maybe two, not honestly matter, Brentford full in the West London Derby. Not a lot happening here. A zero zero. Um, the, I guess the big thing this week is. I really only pay attention to the Arsenal game. I'm just gonna throw that out there. Uh, but Brentford six straight draws in a row, really needing to get three points to secure the European spot. So it's not looking great for the bees right now, but you're not losing either. So, uh, I guess you'd take it. I don't know.

Christian

Yeah, this was an interesting game for Brentford. It was, uh, it was one that they. They definitely needed to win if they wanted to be in, in line for some European champions. Now they're tied sitting with Chelsea at 48 points. Um, cherries took one away from them. They're now in seventh with, what is that? What's, what's seventh Give us

Jerrell

Seventh, is it

Christian

Conference league.

Jerrell

Yes.

Christian

Yeah. So I mean, this was definitely,

Jerrell

possible eighth. Eighth spot might give a conference what as well, depending on how FA Cup

Christian

that's crazy. It's all premier.

Jerrell

Yeah,

Christian

It was definitely one that probably should have been one. Um, I'm not sure what the remaining schedule looks like off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure there's gonna be one that they wish they had back.

Jerrell

for sure. I know they play Man City and they play Chelsea. I don't know. I Chelsea.

Christian

they got Manu West, ham, man, city, Bristol Palace, and Liverpool. So not a easy finish to their season.

Jerrell

I believe, I still believe, just want them to have more points than they had last year and just have more, most points in Premier League.

Christian

Yeah.

Jerrell

For the club. That's that. It's baby steps, right? They're supposed to be relegated according to Tim Howard, uh, new Castle, Bournemouth, uh, Bournemouth on a bit of a hot streak. Uh, to be honest, they were kind of, uh, chilling down there in the mid table. Uh, got hot recently. The three draws and two wins in the last five matches. Bourmouth occupying, they're now occupying that, uh, seven place Euro robust spot that Brentford previously had. So. Brentford, or, sorry, born Myth is, uh, finishing the season strong.

Christian

Vermouth really believes in ties. I'm looking here at the last, what is this? 10 games they got. Three wins,

Jerrell

and Brentford tied six in a row.

Christian

three wins, seven ties. So those, those ties are keeping them alive for European competition. Um, Newcastle, I know Eddie Howe has been facing a lotto backlash here. I think, uh, he started seven Defeats in his first, in his in 10 games. Um, but

Jerrell

Tough,

Christian

yeah, it's definitely a tough stretch for Newcastle, but at one point looked pretty solid, but yeah, no, they're. They're sitting 14th right now, so not, not a good stretch.

Jerrell

uh, yeah, no, um, maybe a manager change. What do you think for Newcastle at the end of this season?

Christian

Uh, I mean, they, they got the money and they definitely spend the money, so might as well.

Jerrell

Oh, how out? You heard it here. Football fellas. Let the rumor mill begin.

Christian

That's how rumors start.

Jerrell

Uh, relegation battle, uh, le trying to create some space between them and the bottom three, uh, three zero over the wolves. This mathematically eliminates the wolves for what little hope they have of climbing out. Unfortunately, the wolves would be going down to the championship.

Christian

Yeah. Uh, leads definitely needed. This one. Uh, they, they were in conversation about potentially being relegated. I mean, they're relatively safe. Out of the bottom five they were. They were 15, so, um, definitely one that they needed to win in order to kind of keep their head above water. So it was a good, uh, win for, for leads and wolves. Tough, tough, tough, tough, tough.

Jerrell

Yeah, leads nine points above the line. The wolves the entire season, uh, never once was outside of their allegation zone. If you remember from the first match day, they lost to man City four zero. So. It was, was a grim season, but in normal wolves fashion, they tend to have a better second half. So hopefully they don't sit in the championship for long. And, and we'll see them. I mean, we still got what, more games with the wolves this year. Uh, moving on. Taught them. Taught them desperate. Desperate for a win.

Christian

Should.

Jerrell

late to brighten on a two, two draw Tottenham. Two points below. Safety, uh, really, really struggling. The draw. The draw helps, but it's still not enough.

Christian

Yeah, no, there's shit, uh, silver, that's the silver lining, uh, for this week is gonna be, yeah, my arsenal choked yet again. But on the bright side, there's only one North London team and there's gonna only be one North London team in, uh, in the Premier League. So that's nice.

Jerrell

Yeah. Uh, Tottenham has one point in the, in the month of April, arsenal has zero. So Tottenham North London is Tottenham for, for this

Christian

No wait, wait. Tournament hasn't won a home game, if I'm not mistaken, in the Premier League

Jerrell

they

Christian

since like December.

Jerrell

got one. No, for sure. But they did get a, they have more points in April than they, than Arsenal.

Christian

Fuck, where are they on the table? Why are you defending them?

Jerrell

I'm not

Christian

This is an unbiased podcast and you seem a little biased towards Tottenham

Jerrell

Uh, it's facts.

Christian

unbiased Pod.

Jerrell

Be better. Arsenal.

Christian

Please.

Jerrell

Uh, Chelsea and Man United Man United have had a, such a resilient season after firing Ameren, sitting third on the table. Um, just kind of. Get the job done against Chelsea. Chelsea loss have lost seven straight. They have, they have not scored in seven games. They, and that's an all competition and they've fired their manager, uh, heading into their uh, fa cup semifinal this weekend. Uh, Chelsea is spiraling.

Christian

Yeah, big win for man Manchester here. They, they were able to solidify their position in the top five. Currently sitting third place, uh, that 3, 4, 5 is pretty close, but I think the top five right now are pretty, pretty set. Sixth place Brian is five points behind the top five, so man with this win, but that one, it was a pretty strong, pretty strong one for them. Keeps 'em above water in the top five.

Jerrell

Absolutely. Dare I say, man, United in the Champions League next year.

Christian

Oh yeah, for sure. I don't see, I don't see a world where, man chess, where Manu does not make, uh, finished top five. Uh, especially with the remaining, I mean, other than Liverpool, they have Brentford, Liverpool, Sunderland Forest, and Brighton. So that Brighton game's gonna be interesting. Um, I mean if Manu, if Manu goes to shit and then it's just left on that last game against Brian to see who ends up in, on the fifth or shit, even sixth place. It's gonna be a good game, big game to watch, assuming Manu decides to just crash out for the next four games.

Jerrell

Yeah, man United is a good example of, uh, one of the Power six teams. Just turning it around. Trust. I would you say trusting the process? I don't know. Maybe finding the right fit. They're, it's clicking, it's working for them.

Christian

yeah.

Jerrell

Whatever they're doing, keep doing it.

Christian

Michael Carrick for the,

Jerrell

and

Christian

for the

Jerrell

burn.

Christian

Michael Carrick for the win.

Jerrell

Is he in interim still or they hired him officially?

Christian

You might still be interim, but I mean, after this run of games, why not?

Jerrell

Yeah. Why not? Uh, Nottingham Forest and Burnley. And Ingham Forest got four goals to burn. Lease one, uh, pretty, pretty straightforward for forest. Uh, all it is is about separating your position on the bottom three teams, Nottingham Forest, along with leads, uh, taking care of business in that sense. Burnley probably most likely is gonna go down. I think they're still in it technically, but, they're next on the chopping block.

Christian

Uh, they were in technically until yesterday when Man City beat them. So Man City officially knocked Burnley down to the championship.

Jerrell

All right. One relegation spot up for grabs. Sorry, Bern. Um, one up, one down. Uh, as it stands, they'll be the only ascended team this year to go down. which is great because I was tired of seeing teams just come up for a year and, and then get a band down to the. Championship. Where are we at next? Everton and Liverpool? The Mercy Side Derby. When I arrived to the Arsenal bar, they were showing this game. Um, they're not as strict in America about supporter bars. So this one was up and sure enough, Liverpool find a way to win the game. It was Van Dyke, I believe, uh, with the go ahead goal in stoppage time and for the three Liverpool fans that were there at the bar. happy for him.

Christian

Yeah. Liverpool's coming, coming back a little bit. I mean, there's been a lot of questions in the beginning. Uh uh, uh, you know, apart from the two losses at PSG and Man City. Brighton. Okay. No, I I take that back. Liverpool have had a, a tough stretch. They've been able to score goals. I mean, they have about 54 goals for the entire season, but damn, they're, they're just midfield, spotty. They're, they're, they just concede a lot of goals. So, um, it's good to see Liverpool top five, you know, maintain that top five status. Um, you know, you got word of sala leaving at the end of the season, so. Interesting to see how that's gonna affect them. Maybe next year's gonna be one of those, uh, transitional years where they might not make top five, but they still got the pieces. They still got a strong attack. If they can fix their defensive struggles, uh, Liverpool could, you know, be worth watching. But if not, it's gonna be a crazy transition year for for Liverpool fans.

Jerrell

All right, uh, Aston Villa four three over Sutherland. This one was a shootout. Seven goals in, in all, um, Aston Villa, making sure that they con, uh, continue their progress towards the Champions League spot again. Or to return rather. They're in the Europa League right now. Ashton Villa, huge, huge close to their season, especially starting so rough and unable to find goals. Managed to get all the way up to fourth place and are looking pretty good for a return to the Champions League.

Christian

Yeah, Aston Villa, um, pretty solid stretch the last few, few weeks. They have, uh, six wins in the last 10 games. Uh, two of them being in the Europa League. Uh, they finish our, their second on the table for the Europa League right now, or they're into Knockout right

Jerrell

Yeah, they're in the semifinals. They're actually

Christian

there it is.

Jerrell

uh, it Villa four.

Christian

There it is. My, my app is very not on time right here, but yeah, I mean, they, they still have some, some, some games to play. They're in the semi-finals, like you mentioned, the Europa League, so they still have a lot of game to play. They're not safe for, uh, they're not a, a sure end for the Champions League, um, league, but it'll be nice to see 'em.

Jerrell

Uh Yep. But getting the job done and, and helping themselves along the way. Uh, Sutherland though is still in striking distance for a, a European spot. Are you surprised by that?

Christian

Uh, it's, it's unfortunate 'cause they started off high. I think at one point they were second place.

Jerrell

Oh, yeah. They were up there. Yeah. I think they peaked at second.

Christian

Yeah. And they were there for quite some time. And then all of a sudden the new year hit and then. They're just having not a great perf, not a great time, not, not a good time for Sunderland fans, but hey, you just got promoted and you're finishing middle of the table. Um, most of like the other Burnley, uh, being relegated with only 20 points. And what am I missing? Who was the other? Leads? Leads? Uh, 15. So Sunderland, I think they, they were the third team to get promoted.

Jerrell

Mm-hmm.

Christian

they spent a lot of good money. They got Shaka in. They're able to settle in, in the middle of the, of the table, so it's still a great season for Sunderland. It would've been nice to see them in some type of competition, which, hey, they're only three points away from that, since the, the top half of the table, 10 through five is still pretty close, so yeah.

Jerrell

pretty close. And with the big match, the big match of the week on Sunday, Manchester City goes two one over the arsenal. Um, yeah, this was definitely a game. This definitely puts a magnifying glass on the Bourne Myth game that Arsenal lost, uh, prior. And you just gotta wonder, even if that was a draw, how is Arsenal looking? Uh, arsenal Falls second for the. It falls out of first position for the first time since match day six of this season, and now they're looking for help.

Christian

I hate it. I hate it. I hate it so much. I hate this life. Why four years straight? Second place? The last two, well, it's, we're, we're not finished with this one, but the last one, it came down to a game against Man city. Same thing here. Um, the only silver lining I see was the fact that Man City did not destroy Burnley. Like everybody would probably expected. Uh, Holland got a goal in the fifth minute and then was the rest of the game was dry. That when I saw the Holland's goal in the fifth minute against Burnley, I was just like, it's over. They're gonna score 87 more and then we're absolutely not gonna have a chance. Uh, but thankfully. The game yesterday against Burnley and Manity only entered one zero. So I think we're only down by one goal in the um, point differential. Both teams finish,

Jerrell

Is tied at 37

Christian

so it's head to head or goal scored.

Jerrell

and man City is ahead because of Goal

Christian

Goal scored. So yeah,

Jerrell

And

Christian

thank.

Jerrell

do they do like head to head tiebreaker in Premier League?

Christian

I believe so. But that would be like towards, towards the end. I saw an article about it, but I don't remember it off the top of my head. All I know is I'm,

Jerrell

just needs to rip, rip some goals.

Christian

yeah, but for some reason we can't fucking score 'em recently. And

Jerrell

all be set pieces.

Christian

Yeah, and not, not just score. Go back to remember the good old days where we went like 15 games without conceding a goal. Let's go back to that. That was a good time. I was having a good time. Were you having a good time? Uh, but yeah. Interesting, interesting choice. Uh, jota shouldn't get on until like the 80th minute. Um, we had halbert's at nine for the majority of the game. He was able to steal one from Donna Ram. Uh, that was more of a Donna Ram mistake than Halbert's, you know, class. But hey, I'll take it.

Jerrell

the 92nd rule.

Christian

Oh yeah, the 92nd rule, the most dangerous time is 90 seconds after a goal.

Jerrell

That that's what it is. Um, yeah, it was, uh, the, so Man City's a tough team. We know how Arsenal kind of like, they never rise to the occasion. It seems to be the case a lot of times. Um, my only gripe with Arsenal, they played a lot better. It didn't seem like the ball was passing back. They tried to get into attacking positions. It was taking Isaiah off when he, when, when most people felt like he was

Christian

As they was having a good game. Yeah.

Jerrell

Yeah. And my issue is. Yes, you spent a lot of money for, for Eucharists. You also spent a lot of money for ZA, and I think A has been more valuable to Arsenal than As far as goal contributions, now you can argue and be like, Yoris does things that doesn't track on the stat sheet, this, that, and next whatever. But EZ I feel like has brought a lot of impact when he, when he is on the pitch.

Christian

He.

Jerrell

see him get subbed out, um, with him, literally what 10 minutes removed from that shot that went off the post a little bit upsetting.

Christian

Yeah, that's, uh, fucking post the damn post work. Um, who, who was he sobbed off for? Wasn't he sobbed off for, uh, Martinelli? Oh, no, that was my way that got subbed off for Martin, well, as it got subbed on for and the 74th.

Jerrell

Trusted came on. Yep.

Christian

Yeah. Um. It's, it's tough. Like I, I, I like the addition of my wiki. I like the addition of, because they, it brings a little bit more excitement to an otherwise I'll, I'll say tactical, I'll say tactical gameplay of Arsenal. Um.

Jerrell

could say that. I'll say risk

Christian

Yeah. Uh, I'm not a, I'm not the biggest fan of the whole Tiki toka pep Arta streamline that they try to imple that they implemented in Arsenal. I'm, I'm not a fan of that methodical approach. No. Give, gimme long balls. Give me, gimme something to get excited about. Um, we'll be rolling his eyes right now. Just waiting to respond. Just itching at the moment of me talking shit about Dick Taka and anything that has to do with Barcelona, but it stands, um. Like as a Ma Yoko dish, they, they add a little bit more excitement to it. Otherwise, I, I, I would probably say stale, attacking that arsenal. Um, previous, previously had, it's, it's, it's always a nail biter. Um, it's always just like these random one offs and it hurts. And I just, I just, I just want more creation. I want more excitement in these games.

Jerrell

no, definitely. And like, do we not have fast wingers? Like is Martinelli not fast? Is menke not fast? Like can play that long ball, I think. I've seen a lot of criticism with like ode guard he can create, but he passes back a lot too. Like

Christian

There,

Jerrell

not, nothing goes forward really.

Christian

there were two instances in the game that I remember, um, where Ode Guard had the ball. And I just internally yelled, let go of the fucking ball. Yo. Kadesh? No, it was Halberts. I think it was Halberts. He had a perfect run. It was a fast break. Order. Guard had the ball, I think it was three, two, and order guard. Instead of making the pass to a running hybrids that cut in between defenders, he held onto the ball. That allowed two more defenders to come up and catch up to him. Ode guard is spending way too much time with the ball. Um, he needs to release the ball sooner. We're, we're having a lot of moments where, where Yoko Dish makes the runs, however makes the runs, and we're too scared to give them that pass. Obviously, don't do it every single time, but fucking try from time to time.

Jerrell

honest.

Christian

Yeah. So now what we, what we see a lot, what, what we're always seeing from Arsenal is just like, you see that run, nothing happens. They just keep passing it back or passing to the sides, and it's just like an endless, Ooh, let's try to find that little gab. Let's try to slowly build up. But you have people like Yo Kish, he's a dominant force. He's a big body. If he's making that run, give them the, give them that opportunity. Kai's making that run. Ogar needs to release the board. That's, I, I think, uh, Ogar does a, does a better job at that. Like making those passes. Um, uh, sorry, not, not regard, uh, Zubie Mandy makes a better, uh, job at making those passes, nor Guard does too, honestly. Um, I don't know. It's tough. Speaking of, uh, I don't know if you completely La Liga. I just wanna give a quick shout out to her. For,

Jerrell

yeah.

Christian

a trophy. Finally, you had Order guard, Zube, Mendy, and uh, Mary nine left raw. So for a chance to win trophies and they did not win a trophy raw. So,

Jerrell

It seems to be a trend in European soccer, and BAPE leaves PSG and they win the Champions League.

Christian

yeah.

Jerrell

I know Gman hasn't won any, any domestic trophy with And, and the one time that they did, he was over in Barcelona, so.

Christian

Hey, hey. They're still alive. They're still alive. They, we still got

Jerrell

No, they are definitely but domestic trophies, they're live in champions league.

Christian

the, the defensive stalemate that the semi-final is gonna be.

Jerrell

Can't wait. Can't wait. And the final match of Match day 33 was the Crystal Palace West Ham, zero, zero draw. Just defensive effort. Um. Westham needing, needing to get some space from Tottenham. A win would've been preferred for them, but they get a draw. They only go two points ahead, forcing Tottenham to try and win somewhere. But, um, Palace settling into the middle of the table, seems like they always do. Um, and just kind of staying in the course.

Christian

Uh, big game for Will's, catfish here. Westham definitely needed a win. Um, they're only two points clear of Tottenham, so, uh, you know, they probably wished for a better outcome, but it, it, they weren't able to pull it off on this one. They got five more games. Um,

Jerrell

more.

Christian

and yeah, with.

Jerrell

And with that, yeah, take it away, Christian. We're on relegation Watch now.

Christian

We have a relegation watch on our hands, folks. We got two people, two people, two teams already down. Burnley and Wolves are, have been mathematically eliminated. Um, we have the bottom five here with leads with 40 points game in hand. They, uh, they've already played 34 games. Forrest with 36 West Ham, 33, and TUM with 31. I think the magical number to get to is 39. I know leads, I just said leads are at 40. Um, but the reason I include them is because they have a very influential rest of the season. Leads have a a Chelsea game, which, hey, that's still pretty influential for the top of the table. Um, if they end up beating Chelsea, Chelsea can be held out of European competition. Uh, they're playing against Burnley, so burnley's already mathematically eliminated, so might as well go out with a bang that won. That. Game's really not too important. I think leads are definitely safe. They, they're above, uh, the 39 point threshold I magically kick 'em up with in my head. Uh, but on match day 37, they are playing against tum. Uh, they're going on the road. So, you know, maybe Tum can get some last second, uh, help from their fans. Sorry, my dog is chewing on her pajamas. Lemme get this away. Then they got Bryan, which again, very influential game. Bryan is sitting currently in sixth plays when the Euro UA for qualifications. So it's gonna be a big game for them. Uh, Bryan is gonna wanna win out and finally, oh, where did it go? I have it here. And finally last match, match day 39. They are,

Jerrell

38.

Christian

match day 38. I didn't do math correctly. Um. They're, they're away at Westham. So leads play both the Spurs and Westham who are currently tied for 17th and 18th place. Leads play a big, big, big role, not only in how the top of the table lines up, but can potentially decide who gets relegated. So, um, leads fan. I know we got some new leads. Listeners, you can fuck shit up. Go out with a bang, make shit fun.

Jerrell

Do it for the love of the game.

Christian

Yeah. Uh, so very interesting situation for leads. It's gonna be fun watching all their games and just pretty much how it affects everything else. Uh, moving on to 16th place here. We got the tricky trees, freaky forest, however you want. Uh, we, we haven't referenced them in a while. Um, but yeah, no, they're sitting 16th to 36 points. I think. One more win, and they're able to, and they're able to clinch. Not being relegated. Probably clinched that 16th spot. I think they hold strong to that 16th spot. Um, but again, they're still not out of danger. Spurs have 31 points. West Ham have 33 points. There's, what is it? Uh, five games left. So 15 points up for grabs. So anything can happen. Um, they do unfortunately do have the toughest remaining schedule. They're away at Sunderland, which, you know, they have a very strong attack. They press really well. So Sunderland is definitely not gonna be an easy game, right. Uh, followed up versus the villains. After the villains, they play Newcastle, which, you know, that might be potentially their easiest game with, uh, Newcastle sliding so much recently. Then they got third place menu, second to last game, and then they finish off with the cherries. Sue. You know, the cherries have, as we've unfortunately seen, can steal some points. So forest, although relatively safe, they're still not completely out of danger. They need to win at least one and tie another one to potentially be for sure free. Um, from relegation. Moving on, we got, we ham, this, this is where it gets tight. We ham's 17th with 33 points. Um. The last team to get relegated is gonna be between these two teams. Unless Tricky Trees just decided to lose absolutely everything. Um, the remaining schedule they have, they're playing versus Everton at Brentford. And then this is where it gets crazy. They play Arsenal and if there's one thing Arsenal does is they play down to whoever they're playing against. I was watching some, uh, coverage and the recap of, of some games and some pundits have Westham beating Arsenal. It's a trap game. I will be so upset. So upset.

Jerrell

don't.

Christian

Notice how none of these bottom five teams play, man, city. I hate it here. Um, then they got Newcastle and then they finish off with leads. So again, leads can make things really, really interesting towards the end. And then finally, our last relegation spot currently in 18th is shit with 31 points. Our docket, literally, I have notes for every team. And then the only note I have for Spurs is shit. Um, not a bias podcast, sorry. Um, but yeah, their remaining schedule isn't easy either. They're playing the, the bulbs, they're playing the wolves, then they're at villains. Then verse leads, which again, leads show up again. Then they're at Chelsea and versus Everton Spurs do not have an easy final five. It's gonna be a tough stretch for them. It's not looking good. I mean, there are only two points at in the relegation zone. They, they could, if, if, if no, I, I, I'm trying to see Westham. Westham has a easier schedule other than, well, no, they both have a, a, a fairly, fairly similar schedule now that I'm looking at it again, so it's gonna be a fight to the end. It would've been really nice to see Wes Hammond Spurs. Go against each other and match day 38, but that, that's who we're watching. And finally, I already said finally for the Spurs, but you know, honorable mentions as always, we have Bern and Westham. They have officially been mathematically relegated. They,

Jerrell

you meant wolves.

Christian

sorry, yes. Bern and wolves have officially been, uh, relegated mathematically. But the f funnest thing is match. Day 38 is Burnley verse wolves. So that's the game we're gonna be watching. Last place?

Jerrell

last place on the line.

Christian

Yeah.

Jerrell

is the worst? and then also the Chelsea match. Chelsea leads that does a FA cup semifinal match that won't affect the Premier League.

Christian

Oh, okay. So I, I skipped one of them. Which one?

Jerrell

Uh, Chelsea Leads, you said it was a Premier League match? It's a FA Cup semi panel.

Christian

my five. I forgot leads. I already have 34. They have a game in hand. On, on the rest.

Jerrell

Yeah, no. All good. Um, we did have a couple matches, um, Wednesday, April 22nd match, day 34, due to scheduling conflicts and things of that nature. Uh, man City gets a one oh win over Burnley Holland scores in the fifth minute. Uh, he is the golden boot leader right now. I think his lead is three goals. Three goals or two goals. I'm not a hundred percent, but.

Christian

Igor, right, Igor.

Jerrell

Thiago. Yeah. lead on you at Thiago of Brentford, uh, Bournemouth and leads. Bournemouth's kind of surging right now. Leads, as we said, are trying to create a lot of space between them. In the bottom three. Those two split the points. Uh, two, two and Brighton beat the brakes off of Chelsea. Chelsea fires their manager after this match. Chelsea has not scored a goal since March 11th. They'll go. Maybe not. Who knows what happens this weekend. But so far, Chelsea's projection and not score a single goal in the month of April,

Christian

Damn

Jerrell

kind of looking like Villa in the first couple weeks of the season. Uh, we have Champions League as well. Champions League, semi-final. Uh, everyone's match to watch on the 28th will be PSG verse. Byron, if you love. Football, watch this game because on the other side you have Athletico Madrid versus Arsenal. And if you like watching brick walls, you can watch that one.

Christian

park the bus versus park the bus. I love it.

Jerrell

So, uh, it's really defines you who you are. When, when you go back to work on Monday and someone asks, which game did you watch? So, so we have that going. That's the first legs, and then we have your Europa League and conference kind of grouped together. First legs kickoff on April 30th, Ashton Villa will play in Nottingham Forests. The Europa League and Crystal Palace will play Shaar SK in the conference league. Uh, both those teams, both those three teams looking to find some hardware before the season's over. And Christian, we only have seven matches on seven Premier League matches this weekend. Do you wanna tell me who those are?

Christian

Hell yeah. Did you brush over the FA Cup semis?

Jerrell

Did I miss it? I did

Christian

You did miss. Okay.

Jerrell

semi-finals, April 25th. It will be Man, city versus Southampton. It could have been Man City Arsenal, but we won't get into that. It's South Hampton. They deserve it. Uh, and April 26th will be Chelsea V. Leads. Uh, so do you have any picks for these?

Christian

South Hampton.

Jerrell

All right.

Christian

please. South Hampton. They can't get more trophies. They at.

Jerrell

crazy though? South Hampton was so bad last year for the Premier League and they're in the semifinal for that fake cup this year.

Christian

Yeah, but still Please, please, south Hampton. Do do it. Do it for us. Please man. City can't get in trouble. And Chelsea leads,

Jerrell

Isn't that

Christian

let's

Jerrell

how that change?

Christian

fuck it. Leads, leads, fuck. Fuck it up. Leads. Yeah.

Jerrell

hasn't scored, so why

Christian

It is an April game, so hell yeah.

Jerrell

April game

Christian

Eh,

Jerrell

brings goldish Chelsea and April showers, I guess. I think that's how it goes.

Christian

I think so. I've heard that before. And moving on to Match Day Trend, Quatro, uh, we have Sunland versus the Tricky Trees. We got Fulham v, Aston Villa West, ham V, Everton, wolves, V shit. Liverpool V. Crystal Palace. Arsenal V Newcastle, Manu v Brentford. Who you got? What, what, what? Other than the Arsenal game that we're gonna probably hate watch and just lose our nails over.

Jerrell

Because it's Newcastle, right? Um, there are actually a couple of good matchups here. Uh, wolves. Can just, you know, continue to demoralize Tottenham. That, that looks like a fun match. Uh, to be honest, Liverpool Crystal Palace, and for the past couple years, past two years, I guess you could say, has been a banger of a match. So that's a good one. Arsenal Newcastle. Well, Newcastle for some reason, always likes to fuck on Arsenal when it matters most. So we'll see what happens here. And United and Brentford tend to be. Good game as well. So we have quite a few, quite a few games going on here That definitely peak my interest. What about you?

Christian

Uh, I'm, I'm, I'm just gonna hate watch Arsenal for the rest of the season, dude. Um,

Jerrell

That's fair. And you're gonna hate watch when they win the league, right? Because I'm not done jinxing it.

Christian

we're fucked. We're fucked. It's over. Uh, what, what day does Arsenal play?

Jerrell

Uh, that might be Sunday. I will pull that up

Christian

post d and d Hate Watch. Let me know.

Jerrell

Oh, wild. Saturday, Saturday at 1230. Every game is Saturday except for Brentford and Men United. That will be on Monday. So

Christian

oh. It's free. Sunday,

Jerrell

uh,

Christian

Sunday's my sports day. What do I do?

Jerrell

Sutherland and Forest are tomorrow at three. Maybe we should put the times. Nah, I'll do it later.

Christian

I'll fix it in post.

Jerrell

as a note, match day 31, makeup game for Man City and Crystal Palace will not be till May 22nd. So yeah. Um, man City still with that game in hand really won't get resolved basically till the end of the season. Is there anything else you have for our fans, Christian, before we conclude this perfect pod?

Christian

Thanks for listening. Remember to ski down will to help him feel better about the arsenal. Shit. Um.

Jerrell

He will appreciate it.

Christian

He will appreciate all the skeets bring buckets.

Jerrell

ski at him or you ski on him?

Christian

Both just bring buckets,

Jerrell

Oh, damn. Buckets.

Christian

but

Jerrell

and to do that you can hit us up on our socials. We have Twitter, x Blue Sky, Instagram, and our website. There are many ways to skeet at us. Um, you just gotta do it,

Christian

here's our consent.

Jerrell

you, I guess we've been saying it every week, so if you don't know by now, now you know, talking to you leads

Christian

I'm very wary of anybody wearing a trench coat around me from now on.

Jerrell

no.

Christian

You said I could

Jerrell

I, I would've just been, I

Christian

in general.

Jerrell

before Florida, man.

Christian

Oh man.

Jerrell

And that's it. And we'll see you guys next week. Maybe we'll be crying. Maybe we'll be happy. Maybe we'll just be melancholy, but who knows? You got you. Gotta tune in to find out.

Christian

Hell yeah. Peace.

Jerrell

you guys next week. Peace.
