JerrellYeah,
Christianwe are.
WillHell yeah.
Jerrellwe can
WillI
ChristianW- it's been a beautiful eight days for us. It's been gleeful. It's been happy. No stress. H-how are, how...
Willlast week's pod, um, like yesterday. Just, I was like, "Oh, thank shit, I can't hear myself breathing heavy." Um, I was just kinda like, for me and, for me and Christian, like, were we having a beef? Like, were we
ChristianNo.
Willa beef? Never
ChristianNo.
WillNever worried the last eight days, you're right.
ChristianIt's like, you know what? I agree, but I can't give you the benefit of the doubt of me agreeing with you to your face.
WillThat's not good content. That's not
ChristianIs it not good content?
Willcontent.
Christianit not good content?
WillJust being very agreeable? No. Christian's been fucking randomly dropping long balls into our conversation over the like, the last 10 days. I'm just like, "Ah." I was like, "If I react, he wins." So I've just been...
JerrellUh,
ChristianI feel like a lot of our goals on Wednesday were long balls. You know? That's how they start.
Jerrellthink we'll get into it. Um, we have socials. We have Twitter, we have Blue Sky, we have Instagram, The Football Fellows. We have a website, footballfellows.com. Follow, skeet at
WillSki, ski.
ChristianHell yeah.
JerrellWe want the engagement, please.
WillPapa, please. Uh,
Jerrelltalk to us. Uh, we have new locations. Honduras listened in. Uh, Co- Comayagua, Comayagua. Ah.
Willwas gonna ask, como agua.
JerrellChristian, you wanna take a stab at it? Go for it.
ChristianEats and water. Coma y agua. Hell yeah. Shout out to Honduras.
Jerrelllike a nice vacation spot.
Willsounds like a restful time with water. No, that's bad. Thank you.
Jerrellpronounce that one.
ChristianHey, shout out to the new listeners. You know, ev-every week we get new folks. Glad to have y'all here. Uh, you know,
WillWhether
Christianwe're the most consistent pod
Willit
Christianyou don't do fact check.
WillSpotify feed, yeah, we appreciate it.
Jerrellyou're done listening to your regular podcast, and then we come up next, and you stay, we appreciate
WillAnything but
ChristianPlease, guys, that marketing budget is nonexistent. Please.
JerrellYeah.
ChristianPlease.
WillFree the interns. Free the interns
JerrellNo, no, get back. Get back in, get back in there. I need that article for the website. I haven't seen it yet.
WillI haven't been given a deadline. You know I work better, better under stress.
ChristianYou were the intern.
JerrellThat's what he's saying.
WillThis the first time you referred to me as not the intern since we started this whole thing, so.
JerrellWe have match day 35 to review. We'll, we'll talk about Champions League, Leg Two. We'll sprinkle in a little Europa League and Conference League as well, and we'll close out by previewing match day 36. But let's get started. Christian,
ChristianLet's go. Starting off with a fr-
Willup.
ChristianOh,
Willwait, wait,
Christianoh,
Jerrellme what
Christianoh,
Willwait, wait,
Christianoh,
Willwe fully dive
ChristianI
JerrellWhat do
Willyou hear me?
Jerrellwhat do you
Christiancan hear you. I'm good.
WillYou're like, "Bro, bro, me? Me? Me?" Um, so I mean, just other things we wanna talk about. Hey, bro. Classico week, bro. Um, so naturally, one of our teams are just in some drama, bro. You, you heard about the Valverde-Chouameni dust-up
ChristianI have not, no, I have not been doing a lot of La Liga stuff right now.
JerrellWar type
WillIt pretty much, um... Yeah, so Valverde's not playing this Sunday. Um, first it was, uh, you know, uh, dictator Mbappe. Mbappe stand wasn't looking good. He was dealing with the
ChristianIn Pakistan is crazy.
Willyou haven't seen the dictator memes?
ChristianNot the dictator memes, but I, like, I, I know the story of it.
WillYeah, yeah. So Mbappe, while recovering from injury, um, just kinda like, we, we have a Classico this week, right? And it's usually fun, but, um,
ChristianWhat
Willthere's,
Christianthe fuck? That's hilarious.
Willthat doesn't... I- it's usually just not a chill time when
ChristianYeah.
WillI
ChristianEspecially with, like, players that have, like,
WillYeah. This...
Christianlittle diva players and Jose Mourinho usually don't mix well
WillBut I also think Florentino, uh, just devil's advocate, I was just like, whoa, he's probably cooking something, right? Um- Usually if you're trying to move guys, not Troshikin said no. Usually I think where I'm at is that I think they do want to move on off of some players. And I feel like if there's anyone who's going to alienate a player off RIT just to set the tone on the team and then additional players as he doesn't need them, I think it's Mourinho. So
ChristianYeah.
Willsee how that goes. But it was Mourinho first
ChristianWe need to control the dressing room, yeah. If any, if anybody, I... Valverde is definitely, like, the one where I'm just like, we... That's, that's our, that's our guy. That's our solid in the mid or back line, if you ever need a back line. Um, but yeah, if I had to put...
WillKaren, sorry.
ChristianI had to put money on get- on who wins a fight between Tchouameni and, uh, Valverde, it's gonna be Tchouameni.
WillIt seems like he fucked around and found out. But
ChristianNot according to this thing, yeah.
Willfirst thing first, I think it is kind of obviously ridiculous. And I think it's just kind of like the player power in that team just kind of come into the fruition a little bit. But at the same time, I don't want to hear my captains starting shit with players, especially in like Maybe the season's
ChristianYeah.
Willdone, but obviously
ChristianIt is done.
WillSunday can be a title decider. So I don't want to give them the league in a game that we're playing or whatnot. So it just seems like a distraction needlessly. But
ChristianI don't, I don't think it's... I mean, it's gonna be a close game regardless of if, like, it's for a title decider, but it's definitely not a title. You guys, uh...
WillIf they win, they'll be able to celebrate in front of them is the whole thing, which hasn't been a thing at Camp Nou. So even if it's like the season's decided the title, I think that's like the level of entry because I think a draw technically league's alive. But
ChristianFuck him.
Willit's like fully, fully clinched, which is kind of like the lead up to it. And yeah, so
ChristianFuck him. I was wondering why you were wearing that rag.
Willplay. This rag, bro. Hey, bro, I got this in Europe. in Europe, bro. Put a shirt on, bro. I tell everyone always that you're
ChristianNo. No.
Willshirt. Also, flip side, we haven't covered much of it, but the Women's Champions League final since I'm wearing this rag. Barca, Femeni are going to be playing Olympique Lyon, a UCL final over like, like this is like the third time they've met in the final. So
ChristianI feel like that's
WillSo
Christianvery status quo, just the two of those teams.
Willyeah. So Jarell is stepping away. So I think this would be a great time, Christian, for us to start leading into match day 35 or plead for help away from our lead
Christianmatch day 35. We had one game on Friday, I believe it was one game on Friday, where Leeds United beat Burnley 3-1. Leeds with a huge three points to end, uh, victory against Scott Parker-less Clarets. So any input on the Leeds one? I know Burnley was already mathematically eliminated. They really had nothing to play for other than just, you know, honor. Um, Leeds,
WillMy pride.
Christianpretty much. They're not like the Wolves. The Wolves are actually putting up some, some numbers, making people a little, a little scary. Um, but no, 3-1 win, Friday game. Any thoughts?
WillUm, no, just huge three points for them, um, considering, like, a little bit of a win streak, um, for some teams towards, uh, the bottom of the table, so it just kinda leads them further into,
ChristianYes, it does. It leads them further.
WillIt'd
ChristianI see what you did there.
WillYeah. bro. It, it feels good to be seen, even if it's, like, my greatest op at times, so. Um, but yeah, no, uh, it's a huge, it's a huge, uh, three points for them. They're not mathematically fully safe, so things could go wrong, but, um, they're in a strong position. Uh, right now it's what? Seven points clear of the drop, so another result will get it done for them so they stay up.
ChristianYeah, Calvert-Lewin had another goal leading up to 12, 12 goals for the season. So Calvert-Lewin always a, a nice bright spot for the Leeds there. But yeah, uh, definitive win by Leeds 3-1.
WillYou stay up, and you find something to build with, and they played, uh... They've-- I feel like out of the teams that, um, they've been more enterprising for a team that's come up than we're used to seeing, so congratulations to them, yeah.
JerrellAbsolutely.
Christiannext one is the Bees Corner, so...
WillBuzz.
Jerrellcorner.
Willdoes the hive say, Jerel?
JerrellOh, Brentford beat the best ham three-zero Saturday
Willback.
ChristianIs it the best ham?
WillThey lost, but yeah.
ChristianAll the other hams are on, in front of them.
WillI mean, the other Ham lost too, right? Carry on, Jerel.
JerrellBut yeah, Brentford, uh,
WillOh?
Jerrellwins at home. Uh, one notable thing, Brentford stays alive for European qualification. Uh, but also Josh Da Silva made an appearance on the pitch late in the game. A former Arsenal player, I think back in the 2016 season. Uh, but he was signed with Brentford in 2018. He helped the team get promoted. Two years ago, he tore his ACL, MCL, and meniscus, and he made it back onto the pitch on Saturday, so to a standing ovation. So that was pretty exciting
WillYeah,
JerrellSo
Willnice moment.
Jerrellalmost like more than two years and making it out.
ChristianYeah. Another sh-
Jerrellto Josh Da Silva.
Christiananother shout-out to Igor. Igor scoring his 22nd league goal of the season. I think he's still... Is he still second behind the Android? Yeah.
JerrellHmm.
ChristianJokic
WillBeep
Christianclose behind with his 20th. But yeah, shout out to Igor, still, still scoring.
JerrellYep. Uh, uh, Brentford playing well, playing well. Uh, the goal, I guess, at this point, besides being considered relegated at the start of the season, is now turned to matching their campaign high total of 56 points. I think they stand at 51,
WillYeah, and there's a European qualification on the line for them, but yeah, for the-- he-- honestly, they're like one of the better, uh, coaching jobs we've seen this season with all their turnover and whatnot. We were firmly expecting them to be like eking out in that drop, and they're twenty, almost twenty points clear. So shout, shout, shout, shout out to them, honestly.
ChristianYeah. Moving on to the Newcastle versus Brighton. We go against, uh, four straight losing games versus five games unbeaten for Brighton. And the tables turn, Newcastle was able to pull away a three-one victory against Brighton.
JerrellYeah. Yeah, Newcastle busted this one open. It
ChristianWide open. And then moving on, we got the Wolves who said, "I'm not done yet. I'm not done yet." They're not yet. They got three games left. They're going out with a fight. Hold me back. No, they, they eked in a tie against Sunderland. Um, I think the... I forgot who scored first in this game, but coming out with a tie, Wolves.
JerrellSalmond did...
Willwent up off a Nordi Mukiele goal in like the seventeenth minute. Dom Ballard went off in the twenty-fourth minute,
ChristianOh, back to back.
Willall Wolves needed. That's all they fucking needed. They were just like, "The Wolves are prowling. We let the man down," so...
JerrellSalmond did get a, yeah, red card, and we were able to equalize.
ChristianYeah, shout out to the Wolves. Sunderland's hot start cooling off a little bit. Unfortunately, settling in the middle of the table, but I believe.
Willwas no bueno. See what I did there?
Jerrellstill get to
WillSantiago Bueno Equilaz. My fault. I'll see myself out. That's fine.
ChristianOh.
Jerrellto 19th.
WillNo, fuck you. No, fuck... You don't get to boo me. No,
ChristianLet's,
JerrellBuddhist man.
Christianle- let's, uh, skip the Arsenal game. Let's just save it for last 'cause I think we should probably talk about that one right next to the Man City team
Jerrellnow.
Willside... Oh, fuck. Well, no, I, I, I, I can vouch for it. We could do it before the Man City result. Those two games matter Should we do that for relegation games going forward too? No, I like it. I like it. Overrule, Drill. Sustained.
JerrellChristian's matchday review, so
WillYou're right, it's your world, we're just commentating on it. We got... We, we have thoughts. We have thoughts, motherfucker.
ChristianMoving away from Saturday games, now we're reaching into Sunday territory. With the first game on Sunday, we got Bournemouth versus Crystal Palace. The Cherries able to... Three zero. The threes are killing it.
WillI did... Good shit, Christian. Thanks, Drill, for fixing it. I do this fun thing on the doc where I don't write the score um, for the results, so we just have to pull it off the top of our head. You killed that though, good shout at you, 'cause I didn't remember until I read it.
JerrellIt's
WillI put in the... Yep, mm-hmm. Three oh at the Vitality. Yep, yep, yep. Mm-hmm.
ChristianThe vitality. But yeah, 3-0, uh, Cherries. Um, you s- alluded to it a little bit earlier, Cherries is a big win for them and puts them in sixth place in, in title, in a race for Europa League. Um, one point ahead of the Bees here. So yeah, close, very close, close race up here. Bournemouth really needed this win, and picking up three goals in a, in a pretty decent, um, game against Crystal Palace.
WillYeah, Burnmouth. Go ahead, Drill.
JerrellGo ahead. I walked away from this one after the second goal. I was like, "I just need a draw, and the Bees can stay sixth." And I was really hoping Crystal Palace could do something here, but, uh, it was really sloppy on, on their part. They-- There was no organization and no surprise by, by the 3-0 result.
WillCrystal, Crystal Palace trying to get right, uh, before that FA Cup matchup in like a week and a half or so apparently. But,
JerrellYeah.
Christianbut yeah, um, it was a close game. It was a pretty good, uh, against Liverpool, a tough opponent. Um, yeah, Mainoo just playing a good game. A little controversial, um, where... With Bruno when he was supposed to, not supposed to, but, you know, everybody's gonna ask for it. Um, Cunha, when he made the goal, I think he, he, he, he motioned over
WillOff
Christianto Bruno with the 2-0. He was like, "Oh, you got, you got your assist." But no, it did not happen. Um, Bruno w- uh, sh- headed it towards goal. It deflected off of a player and then, um, they scored, so they did not award Bruno that assist.
Willhandball.
ChristianWas it off a handball?
WillHonestly, when you look at it, and I think the VAR after said that they didn't have the angle, but they reviewed it, said there wasn't enough to overturn, and then you look, there's another angle where it looks like it just clatters off of Szczesny's hand. But, um, at the same time, Manchester United, they continue that good run of form. Liverpool try to set up a, you know, a comeback in the second half. But, um, yeah, too little too late. But yeah, um, when, when... At least the clips I saw, it looked like a handball, where he kinda, like, it was coming off of his midsection, but his hand was also there, so.
JerrellUh, Man United on a three-game win streak. We talked about the strand in a while, but,
ChristianOh, yeah. I forgot about the strand. Yeah, they still had... Bro, they've been on good form, and they still haven't been able to do it.
WillIt's not easy out here. It's not easy being sleazy, yeah.
JerrellSo their next two matches are Sutherland and Nottingham Forest.
WillI'm trying to...
ChristianOh, no, Will doesn't believe in Man U.
WillI'm just saying, it was a take, man. Let me, let me cook, bro. Outside, outside the top five next week.
ChristianOutside top five.
Jerrellis outside the top five
WillThat, I... That's what I said last week, and I'm gonna irrationally stick with it, yes.
ChristianOkay,
Jerrellthat's fine.
Christianwho's the five above them? Arsenal, Man City.
WillYou need to stop skipping ahead for this content, bro. You gotta save it for a later date, bro. This isn't a fully cooked thought, bro. I just, I'm heating, I'm boiling water, bro. I'm cooking water, bro, and I'm gonna add the ramen, the ramen noodles in shortly, bro, and then you'll give me three minutes live on pod when we do this, and
ChristianSinging
Willthen we'll
Christianwith
Willthere. Damn. God, Gerald, talk to your boy.
Christianthe
Jerrellcontrol
Christianchest. Um, but yeah
Jerrelljust begging for the
WillI'm just trying,
Jerrellball.
Willtrying to keep it... I'm gonna keep it consistent, 'cause sometimes I'll be playing something and one of our old episodes come on, I was like, "Damn, we really be wildin' sometimes with the shit we be saying," so.
Christianreally just be saying shit, huh?
WillSo I'm gonna hold myself accountable, and I will celebrate at the end of next season if I'm right. And if I'm wrong, I'm gonna conveniently forget in a year, so...
JerrellAnd then it's clipped.
ChristianGot him.
WillThe first clip. I like doing it once a week, but I'm still waiting for it. We're gonna have a clip episode where it's all the things where you're like, "Clip that, clip that, clip that." Just a co-
Jerrellup,
ChristianThe clip episode.
WillYeah. Best of the clip that.
ChristianSo, all right, moving on, we got the Villains versus Spurs. Spurs staying alive. They really needed this win against a tough, tough opponent in Aston Villa.
Jerrellthink it'd go this way.
WillDeservey ball. Yes, sir.
ChristianYeah. Two-one, uh, Tottenham finally out of relegation at the moment with West Ham, um, the worst Ham some might say, um, losing to the Bees.
JerrellWhy?
ChristianWhy are they the worst Ham?
JerrellYeah.
ChristianBecause they're...
Willslightly worse Ham than... Todd, I hate that we're
Christianyeah. What are the other Hams? Fulham's in 11 and Tottenham.
WillFull-Fulham and Tottenham. Yeah, when I, when literally was reading through all the teams when you said that, I was
Jerrellhim.
Willlike... Nottingham's also better.
ChristianSo after the worst Ham... Also, it start, it's
JerrellNothing
ChristianWest and worst start the same, it makes more sense, and but I see the S with the best. Anyway, anyway, uh, so yeah, after the worst Ham loss there is zero.
WillThis is, this... Well, there goes Bu- there goes Cobayagua. Hey, it, it's been real. It's been real. It's been real.
ChristianUh, but yeah, Spurs have a pretty solid showing. They were able to get a goal, uh, two goals and beat the, the Villains here to get out of relegation. With only three games remaining, I believe, in the season, um, it's gonna be a tough one there.
JerrellBack-to-back
Willthis was Aston Villa's, uh, friend hang. Yeah, this is where I'm at, 'cause they're pretty much set for Champions League, um, next season. But they, they had something bigger going on. They had, they had other engagements it looks like, so...
ChristianAm I looking at this right there? Oh,
Willyou.
ChristianTottenham has a game in hand, don't they?
WillNo. Two-game win streak for
ChristianWait.
Willthey have three games left. And,
ChristianSomething's wrong with Sofa Score here.
WillBast Ham also has three games left, but one is against, uh, Arsenal, so I'm not gonna say anything about that. We'll get to, to that later. Um, and I don't wanna clip anything, so it'll be a good game. Yeah,
ChristianTottenham got two,
Jerrellit.
Christiantwo other games left is against Chelsea and Everton. Everton just got a tie off of from Man City, so they don't necessarily have an easy one coming up. And we got the worst Ham, as you mentioned, Arsenal, Magpies, and Leeds. Leeds can still shake things up here.
Willdidn't have a pun. Yeah. But yeah, you're right. They do have an opportunity to do something, so...
ChristianTo feel something. All right, moving on along. We got Chelsea and the Tricky Trees. Tricky Trees winning 3-1 despite having a semifinal in the Europa this, uh, this time around. They didn't wanna go the, the Crystal Palace way, but they're, they're going off strong and were able to, uh, beat Chelsea 3-1.
WillComing up on two years of this pod together, um, in- intermittently with the, you know, our, our very consistent, uh, schedule releases,
Christianconsistent, yeah.
Willhas Chelsea not been the most confusing team we've covered, um, over like the two-year period? 'Cause like I think halfway through like last year I was like, "Oh, they're good.
ChristianYeah.
WillThey're good. They're on the way up." And
JerrellCole Palmer
Willoh,
Jerrelltruth.
Willfuck, it's so cold. And like now I just feel like we're just firmly back to where we started, where it's just like, what the fuck is going on over there? Yeah.
JerrellThey're the new Man United. They couldn't even get a
Christian20th and January 7th. They had, had it pretty bad.
Willsix straight league games, yeah.
ChristianYeah, but then they had a pretty solid stretch between league and, and champions, where they just get wins after wins after wins. And then I think what ended up happening was just the potential ass whooping from PSG, 'cause ever since that first leg of the knockout stage be- against PSG, Chelsea has just been on a, just a crazy roll, only being able to win two games, one being against Leeds and once being Port Vale in the FA Cup.
WillI mean, realistically, yeah, I mean, you saw cracks with like Liam Rosenior and the way that they do, um, kind of like their coaching, where he was coaching, um... I'm sorry if I, I... Was it Rennes? Who's also underneath like that umbrella of, um, like, you know, the teams that are like within that, um, area, but... And hey, Enzo Maresca, I mean, he looks like he's potentially being courted to succeed, um, at Man City, and you need to have... You don't wanna coach it foot in, foot out. But it- he was just over, you know, deal... He, he was just not ready for the job, um, for, you know, what comes with the club. You have, um, issues with the players, Enzo Fernandez, um, talking about, you know, moving to Madrid or whatnot. Um, their roster, while cut down, it's still bloated. Their back line for all the investment, um, not looking strong. So it's just... It's, it's really just all over the place. And any time we've had anything to talk about with them from like their management level, um, it's gotten quieter when they're winning games. But, you know, as soon as, you know, they are off the pass with they've firmly been, like you said, Christian, for like about three months, um, since they had a good... Like the scoreline didn't like show it, but they were competitive with PSG that first leg, and then they've just kind of completely rolled over since then. So, um- Yeah. Yeah. But at the same time, shout out Freaky Forest busting out Joel Pedro. Um, he scored that goal late. Um, he had a wonderful bicycle kick. That's about the nicest thing I have to say about Chelsea this week. But, uh, Tyrell Awoni, um, he's able to score a brace, scored in the second minute, fifty-second minute, um, for those goals. Um, Forest one, the lead, giving Forest another three points away from that relegation zone. Um, so yeah, good, good turnaround for them, um, for as much as we were talking about Chelsea.
ChristianYeah. Forest, though, not technically out of danger. They're not mathematically safe yet. Um, with their three games left against Newcastle, Man U, and the Cherries, it would be a crazy turn of events if they somehow end up getting relegated. I mean, they're only six points ahead.
Willit's not impossible.
ChristianNot impossible.
WillIt's improbable
ChristianYeah.
Willdifferential, but it's not impossible. Yeah,
ChristianYeah.
Willum...
Jerrellline again.
Christianwas that safe spot, where once you hit 39, I think you're, you're probably safe. Um, they're definitely, uh, full three points ahead of it, but it would be pretty funny. It would be pretty funny.
JerrellI think that number's
Willit's also good to see, like, those teams, like, come alive versus where they were, like, even, like, eight match days ago, where I think, like, at some point I was like, "Thirty-five to thirty-eight sh- th- thirty-eight-ish should do it." And now West Ham's sitting at thirty-six. Um, you see results being made, obviously. Spurs able to win their last two. Um, so the teams are coming alive for whatever reason between each one. So it's good to see that, you know, they, we don't have a single team that necessarily just rolled over, um, coming down to it, so.
Jerrellhot.
ChristianLittle
WillFucking, is it warm out? Jesus Christ, I
Christianmoving on to
Willlittle
Christianthe stars of the show, Arsenal.
WillStar City. Boo.
ChristianOh, no. Oh, no. All right, guys. And that's been the Football Fellas. Thank you so much for joining. Oh, man. Uh,
WillMic drop.
ChristianArsenal finding a second breath here with 3-0. We got a s- slight change in, in rotation going back to 4-2-3-1. Um, Arteta has been flip-flopping between the 4-2-3-1 and the 4-3-3, uh, formations throughout the season. Went back to 4-2-3-1. Uh, a, a new face to be alongside Declan Rice in the midfield. We got MLS- Skelly and my God, did I really enjoy having Skelly there on that team. Um, he was making good passes. He was reading the runs. And one thing I really appreciated about this game against Fulham is that they started using Jokinish in a way that he's more comfortable. Throughout the season, I've seen him make runs. It's... These runs that he's been making are not new. It's just we've never even considered looking his way. So, um, it, it was just a fun, it was a fun game to watch, not just because Arsenal was playing. Um, and, you know, obviously we're Arsenal fans. I don't know if you guys got that message. Um,
Willdon't think Fulham had fun watching this game.
Christianah, fuck 'em.
WillI don't think most of the people on neutrals had fun watching this game, if I'm being completely honest.
ChristianOh, man, it, it was, it was just, it was just fine. Shout out to, um, RIP to Raul Jimenez, who I think lost his ankles after Saka. Um, good to see Saka back. Um, first goal with that nice cross. Jokinish, great placement just there to tap it in. Um, Jokinish also was involved in the second goal with, with, uh, Saka, which I believe came because of a long ball where, where they gave it to Jokinish. Jokinish ran down the sideline and then Jokinish playing man, not ball, he was able to shield the ball from the defender, create that space that allowed Saka to run in inside from the wing it, pass it out to Saka. Beautiful. Opened up his body to simulate, like you're gonna shoot it to the far post and then just crank it to the near post, right past the keeper, and then a beautiful header. I think it could have been 4-0, um, but I think one of the goal... I think Calafiori's goal got ruled offsides.
WillYeah, and there's no bias here. Like we don't cover any teams more extensively than the other ones. Good coverage though. That, that was, that was good, Christian. That was really good. So, but yeah. Um, I think as well, Fulham also just kind of like, I felt like they were trying to chase the game a little bit too, um, a little bit. And, um, yeah, by halftime Saka had a great... I think that's the best he's looked, um, over the last few months. Uh, I-- definitely bought a ne- another dimension in the midfield, um, as well, so it was just, it was just like a fun, super chill, not stressful game all if you're an Arsenal fan, it felt like. So, um, three-oh, and they did really didn't have to push for much more. They just kind of managed the game heading, um, heading into their UCL tie on Tuesday, um, that game being played Saturday. So, um, it was just like a super chill thing and just also a reminder of what this team can be, um, when the situation's correct.
ChristianAnd not to mention the long balls. Gotta love the long balls.
Willnothing Christian loves more than some long balls to get him excited. Yep.
ChristianLong balls with a strong man up top like Jokinish to be able to receive those long balls.
Willmen in and around the box. Yep. It's Christian, Christian, Christian's favorite thing. Yes, sir.
ChristianSo yeah, before the game it was... Woo!
WillWelcome back.
ChristianUh, before the game, it was a little interesting when we looked at the lineups and we saw MLS. We saw a few faces missing. Zubie was, uh, was rested, um, so was... Why am I spacing at this moment? Norgaard, um, was also rested with the ex- Norgaard and Odegaard were rested with the expectation that they
WillNo- Norgaard's just been rested.
Christianwere- Yeah.
Willready. He's fucking ready, though. Like, I- I'm surprised we haven't seen more of him this season, honestly. But
ChristianWait.
Willcarry on.
ChristianUh, rested, um, and the thought was that they're gonna be rested for, uh, the UCL match, but Arteta liked what he saw, and he was like, "You know what? I'm gonna keep it. Zero changes."
WillYeah, and I think it, I think it was good as well. Obviously, we spoke on Odegaard. Um, hasn't looked the same a lot this season. He's been dealing with injuries in and out of the lineup a lot. And as a, um... I mean, we talked about, um, as far back as, like, even, like, the City matchup we lost, um, about two, three weeks ago. Um, he's been one of the driving forces in that 10 role, so obviously Odegaard, you know, you hope he gets back up to speed. But I think, yeah, I think Arteta got, got this right just going with hot hands, MLS, gave something different. I think we were all anticipating, yeah, okay, you're just rotating for the weekend. But the dynamism, it honestly, um, hearkens back to even, like, when the Bernabéu last year, um, just, like, the moment never feels too big for him. And a lot of the year last year, we had him playing, um, in a left back role. He's a midfielder by trade, and just, he just looks comfortable playing in spaces, um, being more aggressive and just kind of, like, trying to win balls all up and down the pitch. So I think it's a good change of pace as well. Um, a little bit more
ChristianYeah.
Willversus that, uh, Zubie and uh, shell, um, we've been seeing lately. But also a lot of games are being played by that midfield, so.
ChristianSo, all three goals were scored in the s- in the first half. Um, after, in the second half, we did control the ball more. Um, I wasn't able to fully watch the second half 'cause I did have the in-laws in town. Um, but what, what were your guys' thoughts on the second half and-
WillIn-laws? No, just fucking around. Sorry, carry on.
ChristianSo yeah,
Jerrellhalf of
Christianhad a few subs. Mandwa came in for Saka, Azubu came in for Rice, Jesus for Gyokeres, Staalman. So, we definitely had a lot of switches up in the second half. Um, I think I messaged you, um, you guys in the group chat saying, "What's going on in the second half?" And you said it was, it was more controlled ball.
WillThe, I think, I, for me, how, how I kind of read it was that they had a game, um, on Tuesday against Atletico who fully rotated their side since they're pretty much, they have nothing else going on. They, they're set in the league or whatnot. So I really just felt like they didn't feel the need to push the game forward. You give up a goal to Fulham, and then you open up a creek after it was a great showing. So, I
ChristianYeah.
Willum, yeah, they weren't definitely... They were-- You could tell they kind of went back more into their defensive shell, "Hey, we're gonna manage the game, control it out." Um, know, keep legs fresh, as fresh as we can now I'm heading into Tuesday, is how I felt it. And at the same time, I don't think Fulham really had much of anything that was really concerning as well. So it really just felt like they, you know, um, lit a fire in that first half, were able to kind of get their lead, and they just extinguished any hope for Fulham. It was kind of my read of it, at least, um which, um, Arsenal been able to do with, uh, more and more success. So,
ChristianYeah, that's fair. They did what they needed to do in the first half, might as well give them the break on the second half.
WillThat's kind of--
ChristianYeah. All right.
WillOh, was it. Oh, no.
ChristianWe're just both looking at Jarrell's swivel chair. Um, uh, moving on, we do... What, Jarrell, did you wanna say anything about the Arsenal game?
JerrellNo, I think you guys covered it.
ChristianHell yeah. Go Arsenal.
Willnigga, y'all, y'all talk too much."
ChristianUh, moving on, the other decisive match of the week, this one was played on Monday, Everton versus Man City. We were, whoo, I, I thought I was, I was happy Man City dropped points, but damn Doku, bro. Doku just...
Jerrellthis one from my phone and I didn't have TV or USA Network, so it was just the Google search, just praying the score didn't go up.
ChristianI would like to give...
Willright? Drill's big stressed. Drill's big stressed. Oh, no.
JerrellI was like, "3-1 is great." And then I saw 3-2, I was like, "Oh, fuck."
WillWait, wait,
ChristianThat's a
WillNo, no, no,
ChristianW.
Jerrellcan't see it. Twitter, tell me. And just seeing Twitter at the bottom, there's this one guy, Touchline X, and he's just like when, when Everton went up 3-1, he's just like, "It's over. Man City has lost the title charge." I'm like, "That's way too early."
ChristianStill three games left.
Jerrelland it's like, "They're coming back. Man City's still alive." I was like, "This... Shut this man down."
WillThe emotional terrorism that's going on. Jérémy Doku, yeah, he opened up the scoring forty-third minute. Um, and then out of nowhere, um, yeah, Everton turns on the jets. Sixty-eighth minute, Theo N'Dombele scores his first goal. Um, Jake O'Brien, five minutes later, scores another goal, and then suddenly it's three-one. Theo N'Do-N'Dombele completes his brace in the eighty-first. Two minutes later, Erling Haaland says, fuck that. It's not fucking over. And then what I will say is that there was two attacks too many added on at the end. But Jeremy Doku with like the last kick of the game. Honestly, was amazing. Everton players, you can saw Christian even put that they you could see they ran gas. They just didn't close him down. But Doku adding like a dimension of finishing, especially from range to his game is fucking terrifying.
ChristianYeah
Willhim terrorizing Mosqueda a few weeks ago, obviously not a fullback by trade. But Doku adding that dimension, especially with the, you know, improvement we've seen Rayan Cherki getting comfortable in the squad. Semenyo has been able to show good flashes throughout and honestly has helped drive as well this title charge for them up front. Doku being able to score that goal late could be huge coming to the end of the season. So obviously now Arsenal sitting two points clear, additional points. They're sitting five points clear. Man City with the game in hand. So they'll be playing another tie. Crystal Palace is going to be that makeup game coming up soon. But suddenly we're not talking about goal differential. And now Arsenal has a chance to win out to win the league. And Man City now
Jerrellfate
Willmore pressure from tie to tie. It's not an easy run up. spoke about Arsenal. Their last congestion coming into this week was obviously they had the game Saturday caked in between Atletico, Atleti on Wednesday, Tuesdays or whatnot. So you had those three games in six days that are huge for their season. Now Man City, they're going to have these four games and caked in between Crystal Palace on, what is that, next Wednesday? Then you have an FA Cup final and everything that comes with playing Wembley with trophies on the line Saturday. And then you have a game against Bournemouth a few days after that. So now all the pressure, I mean, there's still pressure both sides, but Man City now cannot afford another misstep. So not be a boring end to the season, it looks like, is
ChristianNot at all. Not
Willnot
Christianall.
Willdraw. I wanted it to be super chill. I wanted to be dead mid-March.
Jerrellwhen did Liverpool win the title? Was it, like, five match weeks to go
WillIt was like, it felt like April. Yeah.
ChristianNo one was there to celebrate.
Willstatistically it was April, but like in our hearts, I think it was December. Like it definitely felt like December. Yeah.
ChristianSo just to touch back up on Doku, I did not like the way I phrased that quest- that, that sentence.
Willlike, you chose your words.
ChristianUh, can we talk about how Doku scored the same exact goal, just mirrored? It was the same goal. He did it with his left foot, and then he did it with his right foot to, to tie the game at the end. It was literally the same shot, same lo- like, same spot, just mirrored with each other. It's crazy to have someone with just... that can curl the ball that effectively with both sides of the foot, um, both side, b- with each foot.
JerrellWhat's that dude's
ChristianBut also just, Doku's good, man. Just to reiterate what you said earlier, it's, it's a little terrifying to see that this, this development up in Doku's game, if he keeps, uh, making those shots from outside the box like that. It's just like, how do you stop the man? Uh, but he's...
JerrellBelgium national team, right?
ChristianHe does, yes.
JerrellYep.
WillOh yeah, I rated him a, like, I think like last, like World Cup cycle or whatnot, I was like,
ChristianYeah.
Willhe's fast as fuck,"
ChristianYeah.
Willwas my, uh, elementary just initial thing. I was like, he's the only one alive in, in this Belgian golden gen-generation or whatnot. But, um, yeah, fantastic, he's getting good development. Um, his dynamism, very important, and Pep trusts him.
ChristianYeah.
Willlike he's been one of the most consistent parts of that attack throughout the season. So
ChristianYeah.
Willgoals, to see it from a player development and from like a neutral standpoint. As someone who's on the other side of that, though, it's a little scary,
ChristianYeah. Um, and then also not to knock on, uh, Barry.
WillOh.
ChristianNot to knock on Barry here, but, uh, he did come on on the six- in the 64th minute to replace Barry. Uh, I'm sorry, to replace Bedo. Too many B's. Um, but if you saw towards the end of the
WillYeah.
Christiansto- to, uh, at the end of the stoppage time, uh, Barry looked like he had played the entire 90. There were moments where Barry should have been more aggressive to try to fight for that win to defend the ball, but he was... He looked gassed. He looked like he had absolutely nothing left in the tank, despite the fact that he only played 30 minutes. Granted, great 30 minutes. He was able to secure a brace that led to this tie, but,
Willback pass. We really didn't touch on him, but that's what that was, yeah.
Christianuh, yeah, no, Barry just... I feel like if, if... This is a big one. It's against Man City. You gotta put a little bit more oomph into it to at least try to do the offensive. Like, you saw Haaland. Obviously, Haaland had a lot more to play, but when, in the stoppage... Yeah. In stoppage time,
WillHe's
ChristianDonnarumma went up, and then there was a chance where Everton was gonna be able to score the fourth goal because it w- it was empty, Haaland just fucking took off and was able to catch up, and then you saw him run back. Like, that's, that's, you know, that's what you like to see. Um, but also, yeah, he's not a human, so it makes sense. And that concludes match day 35. Arsenal...
JerrellWoo!
Willcouldn't say anything about a professional soccer player's cardio, honestly. I just felt like it's not my place.
ChristianThat's it.
Willyou, yeah. I mean, especially when it came down to, like, you, you, you play a little bit percentages like, "Oh, is he really gonna hit from there?" But you also, like, if you have a chance to close some things out, it's like, "Hey, what are we doing," right? So we're fighting for it, but Yeah, definitely, uh, probably felt, felt like they left, uh, they left a little something on the table at Hill Dickinson Park. Um, but hey, for me, I'll take it.
Christianand I, I know the irony. You guys have seen me play. I know the irony of me calling that out.
WillNo, no, no, no, no, you're good, bro. You're just saving yourself for, for the spins, bro, for the Beyblade attack, bro. Let it rip. Let it rip.
ChristianI can't score the goals and defend.
WillBro, Christian just be ru- running suicides back and
Jerrellcycle.
Willand forth, back and forth, back and forth.
ChristianNow, when I see there's no one on defense, I do, I haul ass to try to get back on defense. But when I see the entire team is on defense, I'm just like, "Ah, I
Willme
Christiangot it."
Willabout was like, yo, when the four of us were in the box, and you were the last man, and you're like, "I'm gonna pull." I was like, "I hope that ball gets through," there was four of them. It was you, four guys, us four in the box from the dead ball, and we, we... So I was like, "Oh, he's gonna pull. Oh, no." I was like, "No, Christian, just, just send it, please. One of us will do the
ChristianThat's all I saw, bro. That's all I saw.
Willcookies. Me and Drill just stood there and put arms on each other's, uh,
Christianwe lost Will.
Willon each other's shoulders, and we're just kinda like, I'm still here. Am I back?
ChristianThere you are.
WillAm I
ChristianYou're back.
JerrellYeah.
WillOh,
ChristianYou're back.
WillMe and Drill just watched the ball turn over, put our arms on each other just like, "Hey, whatever happens, happens." And to your credit, you did somehow stop a four-on-one, two with, with the, with the keeper in the back, but you did. And
ChristianWithout taking angles.
Willon the ball, it went to travel. I was like, "We'll sprint back." So shout out. Yeah. You came through with that. I was like, "Hmm, silly man."
ChristianUh, and that was... What's up?
WillHe...
JerrellSo you can't be last
WillNo, he can. You just said, "You know he might roll the dice." He was just like, "I, I see space. He's off
ChristianYeah.
Willand I respect it."
Jerrellfor a nat 20.
WillTuesday's game. Yes, that was Tuesday's game. So
Christianleague, I might say.
Willwe, we sa- had some other games on Tuesday and Wednesday, right? Some, a little bit of the champions.
Christianday 35. I'm sorry, I've been trying to say that for, like, four instances, and it just... And I, I had to get it out.
WillYeah. Hey, bro, speak your
Christianyeah, we did have some Champions games, Champions League games.
JerrellYeah, absolutely. So first we had Atleti versus Arsenal, 1-0. That is backwards, but Arsenal wins 1-0.
Willyou.
Jerrellwins 2-1 on
ChristianImagine.
Jerrellfor... And they return to the Champions League final for the first time in 20 years. Welcome to Budapest, the Arsenal. On the other side, this game was really hyped up, but the sequel's never as good as the original. Uh, PSG and Bayern both score a goal apiece, but PSG still wins on aggregate 6-5.
ChristianUh, yeah, it starts off with, with the Arsenal match. Uh, Art mentioned it a little bit earlier. Arteta saw what they did to Fulham, and he was like, "You know what? I ain't gonna change a goddamn thing." Um, and he kept the same, the same team. You would expect Ødegaard to be there, you expect Zubie to be on the team, but no, MLS, again, had a really good game, had a really good game. I do have some troubles here with, uh, Sofascore. Shout out Sofascore, that is my go-to app for all... I'm not sponsored. What the
Willnot
Christianfuck?
WillWhat the fuck?
ChristianBut, um, no, I was looking at the match recap in Sofascore, and I saw they gave, uh, Jović like a, like a five rating out of 10, and I was like, "Jović
Willno.
Christianhad an amazing fucking game."
Willthat. Yeah, Jokere's had, like, literally, like, the sh- one of his best showings of the season without scoring a goal. Um, we talked about, but Arsenal seems like they're acclimating a bit more to the way he plays. As a nine, it was a proper center forward showing, just,
ChristianWhy, Will?
WillNo, stop.
ChristianWhat's
WillWait, really?
Christianup?
WillOh, you said, "Why, Will?" I was confused. I thought my audio went out again. I was like, "I can't have this."
ChristianOh, no. I was like, why--
Jerrellunprofessional
Christianhim a little bit
WillMy fault, bro. Okay, sorry. I'm really, uh, I'm really at odds between the
Christianbetter?
Willto get some. I was like, "Run it back, clip that dro, fix it in post." Um, but yeah, I mean,
ChristianThat was a good movie. I wanna watch it Saturday. It was a pretty solid movie. That's why I missed the, our second half of
Willcrazy.
Christianfull game. Uh, but yeah, hey, the in-laws, bro, they want...
Willbrother. Not
Christianwanted to watch, mom wanted to watch the movie. You wanna watch the movie, yeah?
WillIf we
ChristianNo, but it...
WillI would've blamed Meryl Streep. That would've been hard for me.
ChristianObviously. Um But yeah, second half, uh, Leti did try to, uh, they had seven more shots on target compared to only two in the second half, I mean, in the first half. Um, they dominated ball a little bit more in the second half with 64% possession versus 32 in the first half. Um, yeah, it was a dominant, uh, showing by Gyokeres. Gyokeres I think had, like, just, just again, just Gyokeres just playing the man, not the ball. So if you go for the ball, it's gonna be easy, you can get that shit lost. But if you just lock down, just hit that center, you press Y, uh, and you just box out the defender, you're gonna create space, you're gonna get the ball, you're gonna allow your team to run in so you can get that pass off. Um, so shout out to,
Willjust
Christianto Gyokeres for that.
Willthat good crossover. Trossard took a step and then just poached by Saka. It was very almost Atleti-esque the way it was poached, honestly, off the line they just created. And, uh, yeah, him getting into spaces, um, and just also just, like, not rushing and just seeing, getting a chance to see him and, um, Saka showing more of a link-up when the first half of the season I was just like, "I don't think they pass to each other at all a lot of the times." And just, um, some of the link-up we've seen just in, like, small cameos, like, it was like, what? An hour and a half about over, like, the two games this week. Um, brought a tear to my eye, honestly. I
ChristianYeah.
WillI can't lie.
ChristianYeah. And we can't move on without talking about the Erling Haaland, uh, tweet that he did, I don't know if you saw it, where he was just like, "How is this not a penalty when Calafiori stepped on Griezmann's, uh, stepped on Griezmann's cleat in the, in the box?" So
Willcontroversial moment.
Christiangot saved by the ref there, and not the way you're thinking. So the only... In a stand alone, that should've been a penalty. He s- he cleated somebody, minimum yellow card. But the reason it wasn't is because just before that, they caught a foul on, um,
WillThey said Gabriel got fouled by, um, I don't remember the player top of my head, yeah.
ChristianYeah, which was very soft. Um, you can argue that Gabriel was the one that went into the space, but you know, I'm not concerning. But because the ref called that foul, they were unable to review the second one. Calafiori would, should've still gotten a yellow, even though they wouldn't have awarded the penalty because of the cleat. But the reason the penalty wasn't awarded was because the foul was called first. Little controversial be-
WillThe play
Christianbecause the whistle didn't come until after the ball went out of bounds. So, um, you know, rules and shit, I'm just glad we're on the right side of history.
WillYou know, hey, as someone who saw Julia- Juliano Simeone trail a leg back and not control the ball and not get called anything, I'm gonna say, ball don't lie. Um, but no, yeah, I mean, it was a scary moment. But the same time, fuck 'em.
ChristianYeah
Willjust kidding, not fuck 'em. But I'm also just kinda like, hey, those margins are thin, but they had opportunity throughout the game to do something else from it. But, so if that's the only way they could've, like they w- were working a goal, then I, maybe I have my Arsenal hat on. But I don't, I don't think the result's unfair, given,
ChristianFor sure.
Willthe state of play is
ChristianFor sure.
Willat.
ChristianSpeaking of rats talking up shit. Yeah. Moving on to the PSG-Bayer game, uh, ended up in a one-zero win for PSG. Lot of controversy on this one. Lot of controversy. Handballs, what are they? We don't know. We're still fucking figuring out what a handball is. What are your thoughts on this game?
WillUh, uh, Dre, I'll go first. Um, so I mean, uh, shout-out PSG first. Um, this game was... It shows just the different ways that teams can win, right? Um, PSG early goal from Dembele gave them a two-goal cushion. And throughout, um, without get, before getting into like, uh, you know, the call, controversy, PSG did a good job of stifling a Bayern attack
ChristianI like that, yeah
Willthe margin of victory, um, over this tie. And then the other one, the João Neves one, um, where they were clearing it out, um, that was clarified at least where the rule is, like, if it's handled but your player played it out essentially, they won't give a handball pen for that necessarily. So there is an actual rule for that. That's lesser known, so I was like, "Oh, okay." And I-- it would feel a little bit cheap, almost like Arsenal last year when they played them and they, um, had the s- restart where I think Gabriel handled it and sent it back to Raya after Raya sent it to him. but the Nuno Mendes, I mean, he's, he's a world-class talent. But, um, the difference between having to maintain a two-goal lead in the Allianz, um, down a man versus with, like, your full, you know, world-class side, yeah, Champions League side, it's, it's totally different perspective. So I'd say the worst thing I can say about a soccer match is I shouldn't know the referee's name, 'cause if I know the referee's name, that means I had questions. And I know João Pinheiro coaches in the Portuguese league where this shit happens often. He had a similar issue last week, um, in the Braga game, apparently. So, um, it was, it was still a fascinating tie, but it's definitely, um, I think you can add it to the annals of Bayern feeling just like, "Well, that's kind of funny in the light a
ChristianYeah.
Willright? So...
ChristianIsn't PSG's-- And now, you know, just now put on your little tin hat here. Isn't PSG's, uh, like, owner, like, on the board of FIFA?
WillI believe so. Like, the UEFA, yeah. Hmm.
ChristianHmm. Hmm.
WillAt the same time, the only thing I'll say to fight back is for years and years and years, the conversation about PSG was that they'll never be able to win because throughout the year they're coasting in their league. Um, some have called it a farmer's league, whatever. Um, so then when it comes to these European nights, they're not able to match the level of teams, and they're firmly doing it. And now on the flip side, we're seeing the conversation is like, well, the only reason they're doing it is because, for instance, Marquinhos, I think he's played three
ChristianFor
Willand they're pressure than other
Christiansure.
Willdefinitely look funny. And it's just like PSG we know is class since, like, what, last year, January on, they've just been flying. They've had a little wobble here and there. But, um, anytime there's those ties, there will be questions.
ChristianYeah. So the Nuno second yellow, um, it's un-uh, unfortunate it wasn't revised, but I don't think the rules allow them to review that at all. So the VAR is able to review second yellow cards if given. But in this case, because the ref did not give Nuno the yellow card, VAR was not able to intervene on that one. He can... VAR can't intervene on regular yellow cards. So-
WillI, I feel like just like honestly, transparency I feel like would go a long way with removing almost this thing in the game where it's just like, hey, like even the, um, was it Premier League last year, there was a couple times where like Arsenal season, there was these red cards for time wasting, and now that's not being enforced the same way. It's just like, honestly, just sometimes just being like, "Hey, hey, f- we fucked up." I prefer that personally. Um, obviously, you don't wanna do it too much 'cause you need to back these refs and keep them in positions of like authority on the field. But just like sometimes just being like, "Yeah, that, that was a mistake," versus just I feel like every time we do this, it's just like, "Well, no, they got it right. It's a good process," and it's just like, but by rule, right? But,
ChristianYeah.
Willum, the
ChristianIt's inconsistent.
Willwe'll get into it, um, in the coming weeks. Uh, what's the-- So what, what's the day, Drill, that we're looking at this one?
JerrellI believe.
Will30th, Budapest. I will be there in spirit. So Arsenal, PSG, I'm sure we'll touch on that, um, in the coming weeks, uh, in the lead-up. We, we're not gonna give away that content yet,
ChristianThat's a Saturday. We gotta... What are we doing May 30th, fellas?
Willalready had made sure I'm not working.
Jerrelldidn't.
Willthe fuck? All right, um, we also had Europa League and Conference League close out a little bit earlier today. Um, Villa, they saved Lucas Digne his whole life. Um, Aston Villa blow out Nottingham Forest, uh, four-nothing. They win that tie four-one on aggregate.
JerrellI
Willand then on the flip side, Freiburg, they complete a comeback as well, flipping over to the tie. They win three-one, um, able to beat Braga. So we're gonna have Aston Villa versus Freiburg, England versus Germany in the Europa League final, and that is on a weird date. Um, I believe i- it is May 19th that will be played. And then we also have Conference League. Crystal Palace, um, they were able to maintain dominance over Shakhtar Donetsk. Good, uh, their big wedding day, a five-two on aggregate. They'll be playing Rayo Vallecano, who were able to repeat their first leg performance two-oh, and that tie will be played May 27th, England versus Spain.
ChristianSo you got the Prem representing on all sides.
WillYeah, so naturally, I think I'm actually rooting for the upsets in both, just given just the disparities in money, so.
ChristianI'd be down to vote for Arroyo. Nah, but Crystal Palace has Munoz. Never mind.
JerrellYeah,
WillThey have a Glasner,
ChristianOh, I will always root against Aston Villa. Fuck Emi Martinez. Hell yeah. Let's go Germany.
WillMatchday thirty-six preview, Drill. You wanna take it away?
Jerrella couple matches here. Uh, we have Liverpool, Chelsea, Brighton, Wolves, Fulham, Bournemouth, Sunderland versus Man United, Man City and Brentford, Burnley versus Villa, Crystal Palace versus Everton, Nottingham Forest versus Newcastle, uh, West Ham versus Arsenal, Tottenham versus Leeds, and we'll be making up that Man City, Crystal Palace game on 5/13. any of these games other than Arsenal that you're gonna be watching?
ChristianLet's see. Once Crystal Palace play their, their final, the 27th. Oh, so they have... Right, the 27th, correct? Someone confirm for me, please.
JerrellYeah, the 27th.
ChristianAwesome. Yeah, so they don't have to worry about resting their players against Man City. So hopefully,
Willgonna be big regardless. I think the,
ChristianCount on the Bees.
JerrellAnd the Beast.
ChristianCan we count on the Bees?
JerrellCan we? Um, let's see what I can do.
WillOh yeah, also listening to last week's thing, uh, pod when I was like, "Oh yeah, I'll buy a jersey." I guess I never really defined what coming through meant.
ChristianIf Everton won, I would've ha- you would've had a jersey.
WillFair, fair. Jeremy Doku, you continue to deny me of the things that are supposed to come my way in life. What a dick. a dick.
JerrellAnd I think that is the end of another perfect pod.
Willperfect pod.
Jerrellus on our socials, Instagram, Twitter, Blue
WillZ Football Fellows.
JerrellAnd we can't wait to do it all again next week.
ChristianHell yeah. Most consistent pod.
Jerrellout.
ChristianAdios. Go long balls.
