And Remember...#HTFU

Have you heard of the new addition to the Go for Donny! Podcast? I haven't either, but it's called Switch to Channel 2. That is where Donny will get to ask his guests some questions. So you, the listener, get to know them better. And remember,#HTFU.... Adam, you know about walkie etiquette. Whenever you had to take some chatter somewhere, we'd always go to channel two. So that would switch so we could talk about you. That's right. And everyone, as soon as you say that, everyone go to channel two. And it usually something stupid, they better. Not say anything about me. All right, well, hey, Adam, we have just a few random questions for you so the listeners, your fans, get a chance to know more about you. First one, what was your least favorite episode of Top Gear? My least favorite? Hmm. There was no least favorite. The one that I would like to have. The one we did. What was the one we did in Buffalo? Was that the one we went to? That was. That was insidious. Only thing I didn't like about that is I took the guys to a crap table, I taught them how to throw craps, and I lost. I think I lost about 700. So that's what. Yeah. Okay. Cause I was just explaining how to shoot craps, and so I was throwing the money out, and I was like, all right, you want to cover your bet? You want a horn? High yo means you're high up on put the boys on the yo. So I'm putting like. I'm throwing bets on. Next thing I look down, I'm like, mm, we lost. And here's what makes a Top Gear episode not your least favorite. When you wreck your car and you can't participate. Like Death Valley, when I spline out of the. Out of the Ford Bronco, I think. It was ten minutes after we started our journey. Right? Stunk. That sucked. So anytime you wreck your car and you can't. And my monster truck. When my monster truck caught on fire, the wiring harness went up. Oh, shit. In Texas? Yeah, Texas. So those are my least favorites, is when you get. When you get DQ'd early. You know, funny thing about Texas, I was talking about this. That was your first experience with senior. We're gonna have to have an episode dedicated to senior, so everyone knows who senior is and what he means to the crew. But I'll never, never forget, we did a safety meeting. And after the safety meeting, we're all in a circle in an oil field, because we're going to be driving around this oil field in your cars, and you mentioned something about senior, and you don't trust him about the way he looks and the way he's dressed, and you're kind of funny about it, but. But it took a minute, and then after a while, everyone got to know senior, so that was a fun Texas moment. And we love you, senior. He's the best. Snap judgment. We love you. If he does come over, I'm just saying, if Sr. Comes over your house, mark the booze. I'm just saying, why take a chance? So, that was your least favorite. What about your favorite Top Gear episode we made? Oh, there was so many. There were so many. I think Rubicon, I think, was a lot of fun because anytime we camped, anytime we did the journeys together, those are always my favorite, especially when we were camping and stuff, because we were really relying on each other. You know, we really needed each other to pull together. So those are always, always my favorite. But then, you know, we have moments like, I remember when I forget. Oh, the mail truck one. Remember the mail truck one? Yes. I had a hearse, and just some of the challenges we have is, like, I remember because I backed. I remember the hearse had a door that opened this way, and I was looking about the obstacle course we had to go through. And I'm like, if I can clear that sidewalk, I can back up this way. Cause Tanner had a. Had a water cannon, and I was like, he's gonna. I don't trust him, so. But if I can go this way, if I back up this way, I can load whatever had to load in through that door, and he can't hit me. So I did it, and Rut thought that was the greatest thing in the world. Rutt was like, I can't believe you did that. That was genius. I mean, just. Just those stupid moments we have. One of my favorite moments was when we came up with our trucker names, when we did the big rig episode. Oh, that's right. Every month and a half, two months, rut and I would get into laughing fits where we couldn't stop. And the first one was that semi one when we gave Tanner his name. Tiny dancer. Tiny dancer. Yep. I forget how we got. We came up, and he had no clue. Tanner doesn't know much about pop culture. Cause he was in a race car heading left for most of his life. Tiny dancing goes, is that the Rolling Stones? He goes, no, it's Elton John. So, we were talking to him using the lyrics of the song, and he's not getting it, and we're crying. He's like, now Tanner, when we get out there, count the headlights on the highway. Oh, my God. And then what would say, softly, slowly, and he's just staring at us, and we're fucking hysterical? So that was one of my favorite moments. Also, when Tanner is on in Adam's episode, I had the episode where I got to drive the catty cl. The concept car, and I got to the GT 40, and Tanner is on the track. We did a whole. Didn't we do a whole. Sorry, sorry. Didn't we do a whole thing at Compton airport? We were parking that car to. Or transferring car to car. Yeah, we did. We had. Because I was making my car, and the things that bother me, like, I don't like to be tailgated. So I put a gun on the back of my car that shot a squid onto the windshield of the car that was tailgating me. So it was a squid. So I squid cam, and then I had a big guys that cut me off. I had a big paintball roller and the handle and apparatus off a school bus that opens the door, and this big paintball would come out this paint cylinder, and it would say ass hat. And I would paint the side of a car. Paint. Ass hat. I. And so I had that. And one of the things is, I got to drive the GT 40, the race car, because I had that model when I was a kid. So Tanner has the replica, and he's on the track. We were at Miller's in Utah. Rut and Utah. Yeah, I remember that. Rut and I are in the tower, and I forget what we would do again. Another laughing fit. It was like. I think it was the mandial. The Ferrari mandial. Yep. It was kind of underwhelming. Underwhelming mandiala. And I said, this is. And I think I said, right. I go, this is what a rich guy buys the wife after she catches him cheating with the babysitter. And then we stop, and then we. What? It's got nothing to do with Katie. I just thought she'd like it, and I just. I started laughing, and I couldn't stop, and he just kept going and just. Rut has that. Rut and I would go into those laughing fits every couple of months, and that was kind of a. Those are always my favorite. And the most scary favorite bonding moment, I'll tell you, was the apocalypse car. Remember the Toyota? Did we put a Camry. Oh, my gosh. On a. Yeah. To put a Camry on something, it was so stupid. You couldn't drive it. I was talking to tanner about that cause I got to drive it, do a few shots, and it was horrible to drive. You couldn't see. But one of the things we did was we were all in the car, and we drove through a garage. We went up a ramp, jumped the garage, and landed on a garage. In. This Frankenstein car that somebody made in the shed. Good old eagle mountain. Yeah. So we're all locked in, and we did it in the dark for some reason. It was. And we got razor blades on and everything. Long story short, we're ready to the approach, and the adrenaline starts pumping when you get close to a stunt, and Tanner's used to that because he's a stunt driver, you know. But I'm locked in here. Rut's locked in here. And you could see Tanner's face turning around. He's like, okay, green, green, green. We're ready to go. We all got clearance. I think we had a helicopter, and I think it was. I don't think we had a drone. I think we had a helicopter. Yeah, helicopter. Aaron Fitzgerald. Everybody checked in, right? And then Tanner turned and looked, and I think he just maybe goes, oh, shit, you guys are here, too. You know, he's like, oh, yeah. That's the look on his. He's used to doing this for work, but now he's responsible for our lives and safety. But you could see his face. I saw his face. It was nonverbal communication. I saw his face and worried, and I just. I remember looking at him, and I said, boys, we're in this together. Let's dance. And I put my hand in, and we all put our hands on top of each other off camera. We just did it to say, we ride with you. We love each other. We could do this. This is it. This is it. And that moment was. I was like. I remember it was instinctual, and we all did it. And I just remember that moment. And then. And then when we were driving, you know, there was that moment of camaraderie, like, that moment of agreement that we're all in this together. And then when he's leaving, I remember thinking, I gotta trust this little fuck. You know? I should have taken out a show where I'm just an actor. I've. But. But, you know, I've been in the car with him, and you do trust him. And it's amazing what that guy can do with any vehicle, you know? Yeah, yeah, no, he's. Yeah. I'm not gonna say any more about him because he's. Make his fucking head any bigger. You don't want to. You don't want to elevate anything. All right, I got one last one. One last question for you before I let you go. This is from my nephew, Max. He's got a new show called Max's Motor Minute. He's gonna be doing some car reviews and asking some guests some questions. And what he wanted to know was, what was your favorite car you crashed on Top Gear and why? Mmm. Crashed 76 de Vil was the first one I jumped. And my fate, the reason I love it is because I walked away. That's a good, that's a good. That's a good reason I walked away. That was a big girl, too. That was 5000 pounds, man. That was a couple of tons. And I got that big girl about 40ft in the air. You launched it. You want to know how cool that was? First of all, to jump a car. 40ft of fucking great. When you see Tanner Faust, professional stunt driver, go white, and him say this to you, and he comes up, dude. Like, bro, like, what were you thinking, dude? So that was. I actually got pieces of cars here. I got. I got some pieces of everything. Do you really? Yeah, I got a whole. Oh, that's right. Wasn't it your thing? You would take a piece of a car, everything you drove, that we own, you would try to take something. Yeah, I guess that's right. I remember that. I got him in this. This is what I tried to do with my account. And I was reading in the, in the paper what rich people do. They buy art. They buy, like, really expensive art and then they, they open up their house once a year. So people come see the art and they can deduct their. They can. They can get a big tax deduction because it's. They. It's like a museum, seriously. So is that what you're working towards? I called. As soon as I read that, I called my account, I go, well, listen, Top Gear museum, behind the scenes, I got badges, I got all kinds of parts from everything I wrecked. Once a year, I'll open up the house by appointment only. Can I do this? He goes, if you want to go to jail, you can do this. You're like, this is a good idea. I have some interesting pieces in the top tier museum. Hold on. Oh, no way. What you got? Stig's helmets. Oh, my gosh. And I can't show you, but his head is still in it. I was going to say, hey, Stig, be good. Be well. I got a bunch of stuff, so that's awesome. Well, everyone should watch. Everybody says, Adam, Ferrara, please watch Max's motor minute. Thank you, Adam. I appreciate it. And I appreciate you being on here. One last thing. Do you got anything going on that you want to promote? What's up next for you? Anything coming up this year? I don't know when this is going to drop. Right now we are at the beginning of February. Yes. So if this drops soon, I have Philadelphia coming up. I'll be at helium in Philadelphia. I will be back on long island at governors. I got a bunch of tour dates. Adamferrara.com, my podcast, the Adam Ferrara podcast. 30 minutes you'll never get back. I know. I love it. And I never get that 30 minutes back because I love it so much. Now, do you have any acting gigs coming up this year? Anything? Hopefully we got a couple of things in the works. I just did. I did a little part in this movie called Nonas with what's his name? Big, tall, handsome man, funny Vince Vaughn. I don't know when that's coming out, but. And I think they just. They just. An episode of FBI, I think is coming out. I don't know when that is either. So come see me live, and I will make you guys laugh. Okay, we will. Thanks, Adam. Hey, man, we better get back to our channel because I think they're calling for us, buddy. to channel one. Thanks, Adam. Back to channel one. Production for Donny, Go for Donny !
