As I have mentioned many times, I have been a fan of baseball my entire life. As a kid, we grew up with baseball. We played all during the summer, we collected baseball cards, put the shitty ones in our spokes on our bikes to sound cool, and played in Little League. That was how you grew to love the game.
I kinda get a kick out of statistics that show the fans of today's game. The most significant change in how people consume information and entertainment over the past 10-15 years has been the rise of social media. Interestingly, data from Statista shows that Major League Baseball (MLB) followers are notably younger than the typical audiences on various social media platforms:
