It's that time of year when we reflect on the teams we support. After an exciting World Series, I'm already looking forward to the start of 2026—partly because baseball season is over, and I'm craving more action. So, let's talk baseball. We've covered a lot of topics over the two years of this podcast, and I appreciate you sticking with me. I’ll try not to repeat myself too much, but this is a perfect time to reflect on the past season and our favorite teams.

Admittedly, my perspective leans toward the Braves and the Yankees. While I'll discuss things more broadly, I’ll focus a bit more on those two teams. If you’ve listened before, you know I tend to get fixated on certain subjects—and last season, as I’ve mentioned many times, was all about the bullpen and the lack of pitching depth.

Now, with free agency dominating the news and teams looking to reshape their rosters, I’m especially curious about how clubs will address their bullpens. I know bullpen talk might not be the most thrilling topic, especially when the headlines are about teams throwing massive contracts at players like Kyle Tucker, who might get a $400 million deal—which, frankly, seems outrageous. I hope the Yankees and Braves steer clear of that kind of deal, because I don’t think he’s worth it. He’s a solid player, on par with someone like Austin Riley, but you won’t hear much honest discussion about this on MLB Network or ESPN. That’s what sets this podcast apart—I'm here to say what others won’t and give you the real perspective, the way you’re probably thinking too, especially when you see a name like Kyle Tucker attached to a $450 million price tag.
