Living It Loud

Jim and Linda Jack

Tami Bandimere

On this weeks LIVING IT LOUD: Jim & Linda Jack have been married since October 9, 1965, and were married during Jim’s senior year of High School in Montclair, CA. Their first date was in August 1964 and it was to Fontana Drag City, in Fontana, CA. They have been going to the drag races together for almost 61 years.
They both got accepted Jesus Christ their Savior in 1988 and have been with Racers For Christ ever since. Jim became a chaplain in April 1991, and has been an employee of RFC since January 1994. Jim was also an RFC Board Member from October 1992 until he stepped down in December 2023, after thirty-one years.  Linda became an RFC employee in June 1996, when RFC moved their offices from southern California and relocated to Gilbert, AZ.
Jim & Linda have two adult children, Laurie (59) who lives in Florida with her family, and Jim Jr. (55) who lives in California with his family. They have six grandchildren along with one great granddaughter.
Jim is currently, and has been, the RFC Golf Tournament Director since 2010, and the RFC Golf Tournament is in its 17th year as the primary fundraising event every year for RFC. Both Jim & Linda put in a combined over 1000 hours each year to ensure the golf tournament is successful.
Currently they are sort-of part time with RFC fulfilling duties like the Series chaplains for the Arizona Drag Boat Association five races per season. They both are chaplains at four NHRA National Events every year, along with a divisional and a few local Arizona races. Jim usually officiates at least two weddings a year, and two memorial services a year.
When Jim got saved back in February 1988, God literally called him to RFC and he has been involved ever since that day, with no plans to stop being part of God’s work in the world of motorsports.
Jim has also been writing a monthly column since January 1998 called “Straightline” for the Drag Boat Review Magazine out of Oklahoma. This column also goes out to over 1300 people every month as well (i.e. racers, family, friends, RFC supporters, golf tournament sponsors, and people he has met over the years).

Tune in live each week at 8am MST on Wednesdays (re-air at 6pm MST on Fridays) on AM 1220 KLDC for new interviews with amazing guests from across the country as they share their unique stories because…….EVERYONE has a story!
