Understanding the Peace of Christ: A Beacon of Hope.

Second Sunday in ADVENT for December 8th

Today we will explore how the Peace of Christ offers solace and hope to those in despair, transforming lives through faith and understanding.

Introduction

In times of turmoil and uncertainty, the Peace of Christ can serve as a guiding light, offering solace and renewed hope to those who feel lost. This divine peace, often described as transcendent and beyond human understanding, has the power to change lives. But what exactly does the Peace of Christ bring, and how can it help uplift those in despair and restore lost hope? Let's explore the profound impact of this spiritual peace and how it can transform our lives.

What Does the Peace of Christ Bring?

The Peace of Christ is more than just a comforting thought; it is a transformative force that touches every aspect of our lives. Here are some key elements that the Peace of Christ provides:

1. Inner Calm in the Midst of Chaos

The Peace of Christ offers a profound sense of inner calm, even when the world around you is tumultuous. This peace is not dependent on external circumstances but comes from a deep connection with Christ. It allows individuals to find tranquility amidst chaos, grounding their emotions and thoughts.

2. Resilience and Strength

Life is full of challenges, and it can be easy to feel overwhelmed. The Peace of Christ instills strength and resilience, empowering individuals to face adversity with courage and optimism. By trusting in Christ, you gain the strength to endure difficulties with unwavering faith.

3. Forgiveness and Reconciliation

Holding onto grudges and unresolved conflicts can weigh heavily on the heart. The Peace of Christ encourages forgiveness and reconciliation, leading to relationships that are healed and strengthened. This peace promotes understanding and compassion, paving the way for constructive and loving connections with others.

4. Hope for the Future

In moments of despair, the future can seem daunting and bleak. The Peace of Christ brings hope, promising better days ahead. It reminds us that we are not alone and that our struggles are not in vain. With Christ’s peace in our hearts, we can look forward with optimism and confidence.

So,

How do we embrace the Peace of Christ

To truly experience the Peace of Christ, it’s essential to open your heart and mind. Here are some steps to integrate this peace into your life:

1. Prayer and Meditation

Prayer is a powerful tool for connecting with Christ and inviting peace into your life. Set aside time each day to pray and reflect on Christ’s presence. Meditation can also help calm the mind, allowing peace to settle within you.

2. Scripture Study

The Holy Bible contains profound truths and promises of peace. Study passages that speak about Christ’s peace and how it impacts believers. Reflect on these teachings and allow them to reinforce your faith and understanding.  God’s Truth says in:

John 16:33 ~ I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

2 Thessalonians 3:16 ~ Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.

Matthew 5:9 ~ Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

John 14:27 ~ Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Romans 12:18 ~ If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

Colossians 3:15 ~ And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.

When you are filled with anxiety and worry find a quiet place to pray, read Scripture, and listen to encouraging worship music.

God wants you to have a life lived to the fullest and that includes being at peace. You experience the peace of God when you come to Him in humility and accept His blessings in Jesus Christ.

3. Community Support

Surrounding yourself with a supportive community can greatly enhance your journey to finding peace. Engage in fellowship with others who share your faith and values. A community provides encouragement, support, and perspective when life feels overwhelming.  Attending a worship service can help surround you with the strength of community, you are not alone.  We all are to share each other’s burdens.

4. Service to Others

Acts of kindness and service can deepen your connection to Christ’s peace. By helping others, you not only improve their lives but also enrich your own sense of purpose and fulfillment.  Some like to volunteer at a homeless shelter or food pantry.  Serving others can strengthen your relationship with Jesus as He says in Matthew 25.

Conclusion

The Peace of Christ offers a compassionate and unwavering beacon for those in despair, guiding them back to hope and fulfillment. It fosters inner calm, resilience, forgiveness, and hope, transforming struggles into opportunities for growth and renewal. By embracing this peace through prayer, scripture, community, and service, you can cultivate a stable and enlightening presence in your life.

Call-to-Action

If you're feeling burdened or hopeless, consider reaching out for guidance and support. Whether through prayer, community groups, or individual study, the Peace of Christ is accessible to all who seek it. Begin your journey today and experience the transformative power that can redefine your life.

Now, you might find it odd that I speak of PEACE at a time when the current events in our world are shouting WAR, WAR, WAR?

We are told we will have tribulations in this life and the prospect and reality of war is one of those.  Yet, the Peace of Christ is so much deeper than the peaceful easy feeling we get listening to the Eagles Rock Band sing about peace.  The Peace of Christ is so much more and knowing that Christ is about to return after 2000 years of sitting at the right hand of the Father should give us all a level of peace that can endure anything this wicked world can throw at us.

So while we live in the midst of a world soon to be at war, we can still be at peace knowing that Christ comes to rule and that all who oppose Him will be defeated.  Evil WILL lose.  Those who do not serve God will be defeated.

The Red Horse of the Apocalypse is coming forth bringing war, destruction and death.

We read in God’s Truth of Revelation chapter 6 verse 4:

And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.”

This is one of the 4 horsemen of the Apolcalypse taking PEACE from the Earth.  But NOT the PEACE OF CHRIST, just secular peace.  There is a huge difference.

The Apostle Peter told us to expert things in the world to get worse in 2nd Peter 3:3.

In verse 7, he reminds us that judgment is coming and for us to not be impatient (verses 8-9).  God wants all to come to Him, so He is patient hoping everyone seeks Him.  So we must be patient during our tribulations as well.  And yes, that is hard to do, but having the Peace of Christ helps us to be patient while we endure our sufferings (see Romans 5).

Repent!  True repentance cleans our heart of the sins we commit allowing the peace of Christ to enter more solidly into our lives.  A life filled with sin, has very little room for the Peace of Christ.

Just as this nation needs national repentance we as the children of God, need repentance.

Peter tells us to live a repentant life (verse 14) and to live a peaceful life! (verse 15).

For us, as Christians we have no king, but the King of kings, Jesus Christ.

See Isaiah 9:6-7

So when you listen to the Main Stream Media, be careful what you believe, for only God’s Truth comes from the Bible not the global elites who own and control our news.  That’s why we look at current events here on this podcast with a ‘biblical worldview’ and hope you will do the same.  Balance everything you hear with what God’s Truth says in His Holy Word.

There are so many organizations, groups and agencies spreading falsehoods it is important to take what you hear on the news with a grain of salt.

With that said, some truths do come through like the threat of World War 3.  Although the details may not reflect actual truths.  The Bible tells us, it actually warns us, that war and death is coming.  We can expect war, famine and disease until the appointed time for the end of this wicked world arrives.

Until then, avoid believing anything groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center report.  These woke, radical left wing groups are just the arm of Satan’s deception army.  Funded by the likes of George Soros and other demons from Hell who contaminate our world with their evil wickedness.

Spreading lies and taking the peace away from those who allow them in their heads.

Focus on Jesus Christ.  So when you read headlines like this that say;

France declares war on Russia and their redlines.  Know that this is a small part of the fulfillment of God’s Truth.  Natural News reports the tone spoken by France in one article and then in another we read where Britian is now at war with Russia.

And of course it is going to spread from there.  At this point it is just the rhetoric that is at war, but one day the rhetoric will turn into bullets, rockets and of course battlegrounds.

I wish I could tell you that peace was coming to the world, but that is not what Jesus said would happen.  In fact, He made it clear in Matthew 10:34;

“I have not come to bring peace, but a sword”

There again He is not bringing peace to the paganistic world, but He DOES give us who believe His PEACE.

This End Time Headlines.org article reveals the sword about to be released towards the nation of Poland.  The article reads;

Moscow threatens to attack Poland, Kremlin warns it can strike US Base using advanced weapons”

So now we see Poland added to the list of growing nations that Russia, the ‘Bear’ is threatening to invade.  Remember Russia INVADED UKRAINE, a sovereign nation.  And now threatens to attack Poland.  Already we have mentioned that Britian, France and potentially South Korea are at war with Russia.

And, as Rebekah Koffler reports “Analysis:  US, Russia Already at War”

So, World War 3 is aligning up with nations on one side or another.  Soon more will throw their hat in the ring picking sides.  One can expect all the BRICS nations to join with Russia.

Breitbart News reports;

“Get ready for a ‘wartime scenario in Europe and be wary of Russia and China, Top NATO Officer warns”

NATO expects WAR.  So the people of America should be expecting war as well.  For the US will not be exempt from entering the conflicts.  And our homeland will be attacked, we have already been invaded by our enemies thanks to the Democrats in power.

You can verify all these events easily by just googling the headlines to find sources and more details.

I don’t need to share the details just the fact that PEACE in this world will be hard to find.  It is only by having the PEACE OF CHRIST, will you be able to endure the coming wrath and tribulations.

There is good news to share.  Another End Time Headlines article reveals that new data shows that Christian voters swayed the 2024 presidential election.

The November 21st article shows that Christians IF and WHEN they crawl out from under their Pews can make a difference.  America’s future is brighter now, thanks to God’s People voting for the clearly better choice in electing President Trump.

So while Anti-Christianity Hostility is surging across Europe, here at home Christians are holding REVIVALS and returning our nation back to God Almighty.

And once our Constitutional Republic is re-established, America will once again be GREAT AGAIN.
