Mady and Castiel

*Trigger warning: This episode touches on anxiety, depression and self harm.

In this episode we talk to Mady about her late dog Castiel.

Castiel was a rescue boy, but it was in fact he who rescued Mady. 

Castiel came into Mady's life at a time when she had a lot of difficult challenges that drastically affected her everyday life. Before sighting Castiel for the first time, there was a magnetic energy between them; she knew he was an angel who was going to help her (much like his namesake)

While the early days with Castiel were chaotic and overwhelming, Mady knew she needed this beautiful boy. Even on the toughest days, Mady knew she could not give up, as she couldn't bare to let Castiel down. 

Castiel challenged everything Mady thought she knew in the space of dog training, all the while, day by day, helping her scratch her way back to the surface to create a beautiful life. One that I really hope Mady is so proud of. 

This story is one of triumph, and tragedy.

Among it all, the most incredible and beautiful connection. 

This episode is truly the essence of what this podcast is all about. 

I am so greatful to Mady for talking so openly about some very difficult topics.
