134. The Ever-Present God: Psalm 139:7-12

No matter where we go, God is always with us. Psalm 139:7-10 reminds us that we cannot escape His presence: “If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.” Whether we are filled with joy or walking through hardship, God never leaves us. Even in the darkest moments, verse 12 assures us, “Even the darkness is not dark to you.” What feels uncertain to us is clear to Him. If you feel alone today, take heart—God’s presence surrounds you, leads you, and holds you. Rest in that truth.
