150. Partnership in the Gospel: Philippians 1:3–6
In this episode, we explore the beauty and depth of gospel partnership. “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:3–6).
Paul’s words overflow with gratitude and joy as he reflects on the faithful partnership of the Philippians. Their shared commitment to the gospel was not just financial support or occasional help — it was a true, life-giving fellowship (koinonia) in the mission of Christ. In this shared work, Paul sees the beauty of the church united under the banner of the gospel, laboring together to make Christ known.
Pastor Keith reminds us that this same partnership is extended to each of us today. We are called not to be spectators but active participants in the spread of the gospel. And we have this unshakable hope: the God who began His good work in us will faithfully bring it to completion. Our part in the mission is sustained by His power and promises.
Embrace your role in God’s mission with joy and faithfulness, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. Give thanks today for those who partner with you in the gospel — in your church, your family, and your community. Rest in the assurance that the God who started His good work in you will surely complete it in His perfect timing.
