405. Our Shield in the Night (Psalm 3)

Psalm 3 reminds us that even when we are surrounded by fear, opposition, and discouragement, God remains our shield and sustainer. David, fleeing from Absalom and overwhelmed by enemies, found confidence not in his circumstances but in the faithful character of God. The Lord heard his cries, sustained him through the night, and lifted his head in mercy. This psalm calls believers to rest in God’s providential care, remembering that salvation belongs to the Lord alone. When fear rises, we are invited to run to the Father, who faithfully guards and cares for His people.
