In this episode of Moments of Worship, we walk through Psalm 5:1–7 and see David begin his morning crying out to God in prayer. Surrounded by opposition, David approaches the Lord honestly and dependently, calling Him “my King and my God.” The passage highlights both the holiness of God and the grace that allows sinners to draw near to Him. God does not delight in wickedness and stands opposed to evil, pride, deceit, and violence. Yet through God’s steadfast love, David is welcomed into His presence in worshipful reverence. This episode reminds us that because of Christ, believers can approach a holy God with confidence, humility, and awe.
