David begins Psalm 18 by declaring his love for the Lord after God delivered him from his enemies. He describes God as his strength, rock, fortress, deliverer, refuge, shield, and stronghold, reminding us that our security is found in God alone. Even when surrounded by danger and facing what seemed like certain death, David cried out to the Lord, and God heard his prayer. This episode encourages us to trust God's faithful character, remember His past deliverance, and confidently bring every burden to Him in prayer.
