Hey, welcome. My name is Joe, and this is Life After Freedom. Let's go. Hey, welcome back. So excited about today's episode. I have the absolute joy of introducing you to someone very special. Stacy Jennings. Stacy is an incredible woman of God who brings life, wisdom, and creativity, and faith everywhere she goes. She's a devoted wife, a loving mom, a proud grandma, and the kind of friend that everyone is thankful to have in their corner. At heart, I would say that Stacy is an artist and a creative. She's a graphic designer, a writer, and a gifted communicator who has a beautiful way of bringing ideas, faith, and vision to life. She's also a dreamer, a seer, and a visionary. Someone who's always looking ahead with hope and purpose. What I love most about Stacy is her heart for God and people. She's a prayer warrior, a passionate teacher of the Word of God, a servant leader who truly lives out her faith. And if you know Stacy, you know there is never a dull moment. She loves adventure, she brings joy and laughter wherever she goes. And she has this incredible way of keeping her eyes on the future while encouraging everyone around her. I love that about her. She is full of gifts. I'm so excited for you to hear from her today. Here's my conversation with my friend and prayer coach, Stacey Jennings. First of all, thank you for being here.

A Cross‑Generational Prayer Friendship

SPEAKER_00

Well, I'm excited to be here. Actually, you're here. Right. We're actually meeting um at my place today. And what a lot of people won't know is that for probably the past uh we're in our second year of meeting either in person or online for prayer on a specific day of the week. And we've had a lot of adventures. We've had some serious issues that we've dealt with in prayer. We laugh a lot while we're doing it, but God is in the midst of it and just um they can't see us right now, but we are from two different generations. Um I would be from the uh eldest generation, but just the wonderful friendship and bond that we have developed as a brother and sister in Christ has allowed God to do some miracles and we've seen some mighty answers to prayer, haven't we?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, we have. The issues that you're talking about just it wasn't between us.

SPEAKER_00

Correct.

SPEAKER_01

Some people know, but um, but we do have some funny moments uh because we are, like you said, from different generations. I'm also Puerto Rican, and you're a white lady from Oklahoma with white hair, which I love.

SPEAKER_00

And I carry a gun.

How Crisis Trained A Prayer Life

SPEAKER_01

Let me tell you, I think that people would not put us together as friends. No, and and that's the beauty of Jesus, how he brings people in the body of Christ together. And as I was praying this morning, I thought if there's if there's a reason why God brought us together was to teach others. And what you have given me has been even like a mantle for this generation that I could definitely teach and even soak myself in because it's it's a beautiful, beautiful scenery of God's goodness that you carry and in his power and anointing and so many other things. But I want to go back to uh even like how that started. Tell me a little bit about your story and and I want to talk about, you know, through the years that you've had with God, um, when you look back at life, how would you describe prayer and what has it meant to you?

SPEAKER_00

I I will tell you, and I say this frequently to people when they'll say, How did you get to this place or how did you get involved with this assignment? And I tell them, God tricked me into it. And I that's not scriptural, I understand, but I don't think I've ever set out with the word of God with him telling me, here's where I want you to go, and here's what I want you to do. I find myself in those situations. And uh my husband and I both uh were brought into our life of faith uh during the charismatic movement of before you were born. Uh but in that we learned a lot of the basics of prayer. But I think when it turned the corner for me, Joe, was a number of years ago my adult daughter was going through a horrible situation. My husband and I uh lived in one state and she lived in another. And um I never knew when the phone rang if I was going to hear her angry or if she was going to be upset because it was very difficult. And short of me hopping on an airplane and going back there and uh just, I'm gonna go back and take care of it, I had to learn to pray a different way. When I got the report of what was going on and what she was dealing with, I would then go to the word utterly helpless and say, God, I don't know how to pray for this. And he would lead me to, usually it was an old testament story, and I would learn a principle. And from that place, I would hit my knees and begin to declare that word into the situation. And I will tell you, it probably took six months for her to get through what she was dealing with because it was other people were involved. But she came successfully through it, has had a wonderful life since then. I've got grandchildren now that uh she raised, she and her husband raised beautifully. But that's where I really learned to take that word, not just, you know, if somebody's sick, let's get the word out that says by his stripes, you are healed. We're all aware of that. But when you've got a specific situation that there is no A, B, C list in the Word of God, that wisdom is still there. We just have to dig for it a little bit. So I hope that answered your question.

SPEAKER_01

Definitely. I love uh just even hearing some of what you have gone through and and how you've applied that. Do you remember a moment or a season where prayer became real and powerful? Was it that one or was it another season where it just where it clicked?

SPEAKER_00

Uh I've always, I would say, even in the beginning as a young believer, it clicked because we learned how to stand on the word of God, how to declare it into a situation and see results. The way I would answer your question is over the years there have been different seasons of maturing in prayer where you go to a next level. But it you have to start, I would say, at ground level in faith, knowing that the word of God is true. When we align ourselves with what it says, the word will work. When we do what the word says, the word will do what we say. That that was an old saying.

SPEAKER_01

That's good. That's good.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, start. And a lot of the the basic teachings that uh so empowered my faith came from Kenneth Hagand, Kenneth Copeland, Jerry Savell, those uh men and women who were leading in that faith movement, that charismatic movement, because it changed not only our country here in the United States, but it has gone worldwide. But that that's where to start. And then the Holy Spirit leads after that the direction he wants us to go.

SPEAKER_01

I love that. So you've also learned from people that have done prayer for years and carry that mantle of prayer and laid it upon your generation. Wow. Well, tell me, is there something that you've learned that most people misunderstand about prayer?

SPEAKER_00

Answers are not always instant. You know, the word of God says, having done all to stand, stand therefore. Sometimes you've just got to stand until you see that answer.

SPEAKER_01

If you were to think about struggles or things that you were facing within prayer, that you were contemplating, like, is this possible? Could you name a few?

SPEAKER_00

Well, I'll give you a big one. It might take a few minutes to tell this story, but I think it's worthwhile. Uh, over 30 years ago, it was one of those instances, again, where the Lord kind of tricked me into a situation. And I went to the Maximum Security Women's Prison in my state in Oklahoma to help serve Thanksgiving dinner to the women who were inmates there. And at that time, I met a young woman who had been in prison less than a year with a life without parole sentence. We became friends, and so I was part of the prison fellowship program, so I became her mentor. And if you had told me then that I would be mentoring her and visiting her for 35 years, I would have said, God, find somebody else. But she came from a Christian home. She entered into a bad marriage that her parents disagreed with, and the man was horribly abusive. Uh, abused her, abused her child uh from a previous marriage, and threatened to kill her. It ended up her brother went because he was so concerned about his sister, and sadly he went to confronted the husband, it went terribly wrong, and the husband was killed. In the state of Oklahoma back then, things weren't as they are today. She ended up, even though she was not present, she was not there, she got a life without parole sentence. Yes. So for 35 years, we studied prayer together, we studied the word of God together. Impossible. If you have life without parole, you do not get out of prison. Yet we believed that God had a way out for her. And we continued to pray and we continued to stand. So what happened was the Oklahoma legislature enacted the Survivors Act in Oklahoma, which says that if you are serving a prison sentence and your crime had to do with domestic violence, and you can prove it, you can have your sentence reduced. So she qualified for that, obviously. And it took us a while because we had to do a lot of warfare in prayer so that her uh she could be heard, and the district attorney's accounts was not happy with it. So we did, we there was a team of us, a lot of warfare. But what I'm telling you is that after 35 years of standing and believing for something that in the natural was absolutely impossible, she was released from prison last January.

SPEAKER_02

Please God.

SPEAKER_00

And it's been an amazing journey to watch God bring restoration to her because you've been in prison for 35 years, you don't know how to pump your gas. Oh, wow. There's a lot you don't know how to do. So that that would be one of the most significant uh things that I could share with the people who are listening to us right now. No matter how bad your situation looks, if you can hear my voice right now, nothing is impossible with God. Stand until you don't have to stand anymore, and you will see your faith bear fruit in that situation.

SPEAKER_01

Amen. Amen. That story is so powerful. Even um as I think about how we met, we met because, well, first of all, we're gonna get into this later, but I ended up getting a vision, and we were coming out of a prayer, 21 days of prayer, and I get a vision at our church. At our church, yes. And then I walk into this room that I'm invited. It was a pastor's office, and all of a sudden you were part of the people there. Some I had never seen, some I was just meeting. And you happened to be standing there, and you had deer feet, which was hilarious. To me, I was like, oh no, God, please, not now.

SPEAKER_00

Um, let's make that clear what you said. When you looked at me, I looked pretty normal, except I had deer feet deer hooves instead of feet. All righty.

Prophetic Encounters And Confirmation

SPEAKER_01

And so that ended up uh telling me that specifically God was highlighting you. Uh, but I knew it was God trying to tell me, I need you to speak to this lady. I'm like, who is this lady? Please, not now, God. I remember even having to fight, like, not now, God, because you weren't the reason why I was in the room, but he made you the reason why I was in the room. And that's just the way that he works, his connections, his ways of being, his intentionality. It's it's amazing. And then we ended up connecting.

SPEAKER_00

Um no, you're passing over something really good here. Now, okay, this is Mama Bear speaking. We're not going to pass this over. So as we were leaving that gathering, you were with uh one of our pastors, and he introduced us, and you said, I think I've got a something, a word for you. And so you told me, Yeah, I just saw you, I don't know you, but you have the feet of a deer. And I could see the terror in your eyes as you were speaking something to someone you didn't know, but what you didn't know was that was a confirmation of a word God had given me coming from somebody I didn't even know who could not possibly have known what God was speaking to me. And you know, he talks in his word about he says, I will make your feet like Heinz's feet because that gives us the ability to climb a mountain. And for me, that is a mountain of prayer that I continually want to be going up because there are others that are coming after me on the path that need to have a way to go. And so that word you spoke that night was critical and vital in the prayer ministry that God has called me to. And so we've been friends ever since, of course.

Dreams, Encounters, And Discernment

SPEAKER_01

And I remember even um that you were planted. That was part of the word. And it was uh it was a beautiful moment. So from there, we didn't see each other. Um, I think we saw each other once in in church again after that. Um, and Pastor Pam was actually there. Yes. We got her mom. And then after that, I didn't see you for months until another 21 days of prayer that we had. I didn't know that you're what we call here in Florida a snowbird. Right. Moving from city to city. So I was like, where is this lady that I didn't even remember your name? And anyways, everything happened so quickly, but you had received a word from God about praying for me. And then you connected. I I still haven't asked you where you got my email, but you send me an email, and then all of a sudden um I send you a message back and I tell you, hey, just a revelation of what I had gotten that you were like an agent. And my mind is like, this lady's an agent. And I saw you praying for big things and and long-term things and short-term things, but it was more of a, hey, you know, ask her how you can join her in prayer. What can I help you in prayer for? And I remember that then you messaged me that there was no way there's this is the second thing that that God is showing you. And you had mentioned, because I said, I see. And then you said, Can I help you with your seeing gift? And I I thought that was so intriguing that you would even catch that, that it ended up that part of the long-term things as I got to know you, and as we got to share visions and dreams and all the good things that God is doing, uh it was about that story, you know, helping you pray when you were there and that courthouse.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

I I was so blessed by that. And that's what I think that God also wants out of us. That prayer is not just, it's definitely not just for us. A lot of people are praying so selfishly. And it's like, wait, once you get past yourself, God is just waiting for us to be there so that He can then utilize us to expand the kingdom of God through intercessory, through authority, through speaking life to people, because not everything is aggressive, right? There's moments where we're just speaking a beautiful, peaceful word over someone, and it just transforms everything.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. You know, I think um, and you and I have both walked through this, but God has given us all gifts, and we need help, we need encouragement to be able to utilize those gifts and develop some confidence and some boldness. Uh, you know, just like for you to speak that word about what you saw about the deer's feet on me. That took a little bit of boldness and a little bit of trepidation. But the more we step out in those gifts, the more value we become in the kingdom because people need what we've got. I personally value the seer gift that is upon you because I recognize that you saw things with a much larger lens than I do in the spirit. And there have been times, and I'm just sharing this with those who are listening to us right now, that I've called you and asked you here's a situation, what do you see in it? And you've given me insight. So prayer is where all of this begins. And I love what you said a minute ago, when we can get outside of our own needs and going to God continually about what I need. He's already promised that he will take care of us. But when we start to function outside of our own needs, that's when things get really interesting.

SPEAKER_01

Really interesting. And wouldn't you say that they're fun as well?

SPEAKER_00

Oh my gosh, yes. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

We've had we had some great moments. Um, you know, do you remember the first dream or the first time that you realized that that it was a God dream?

Recording And Interpreting Dreams

SPEAKER_00

For me, you know what? I'm gonna, I'm gonna say, now that I'm an adult, I've had dreams all my life, and sometimes they were the same dream over and again since childhood. Now that I am an adult, I have gone back to those childhood dreams that were repetitive and looked at them through a spiritual lens, which I didn't have back then. I couldn't process that, but I can see how those childhood dreams pointed. To the future me and what I was going to be doing in the realm of the spirit. But dreams are so telling. Um, and I've also learned that there's a difference between dreams and encounters. Would you like me to allow you? Yes, please, please, come on. Um, I I always respect the dreams I've been given. Now, I immediately now, when I have a dream, I get up and go directly to my computer and I write that down. I've learned that I can go back into a dream if I will contemplate on that dream and sometimes pick up more details than I got when I first woke up. And so you and I have talked about that. Let's go back into that dream. And what else can we see here? There are times, however, when I think our dreams are really encounters in the realm of the spirit. For instance, I'll use this as an example. Um, I had a dream one time that I was in some sort of Middle East country, and I was at a family's home, and there was a war going on outside. Um, there was uh the daughter in this family was probably 18 to 20 something years old, but the family, um, and she was a Christian, and the family was not, and they meant to do her harm. And in my dream, I was able to help that young woman, that girl, get away from her family. That could have been a real encounter in the spirit realm with something that was literally going on because all of the facts of the dream lined up with the culture where it happened. Now, will I ever know if that was a dream encounter or not? Maybe, maybe not. But I do believe that God takes his places when we are in that realm of sleep, and that we can be very active there for his behalf for the kingdom of God.

SPEAKER_01

Amen to that. I I love when God does something in that way. And we know that Paul had encounters where people just showed up and even were um were guided to specific places to take the gospel because of that. And knowing that there are moments where God is working that way because of where the people are at, that's part of what we need to tap into, I believe, because the the word of God says there's something about that that they will know my voice and not the voice of the enemy. Like his sheep will know his voice. So, how do we discern when it's God speaking in a dream?

SPEAKER_00

Well, we have we have a spirit and we have the ability to discern. Um, I wish I could say, here are the three steps: one, two, three, four. But I think that's where we have the opportunity to exercise the discernment that we have that he has given us. He is a trustworthy, faithful God. His Holy Spirit will never lead us wrong. When I have a dream and I'm a little uncertain about it, I'm gonna, I'm gonna write it down, I'm gonna meditate on it, but I am also going to share that dream with other trusted believers. I I've called you. We've you and I have shared dreams with each other because God has those guardrails up for us with people around us that are going to speak the truth to us, that are going to correct us when we need to be corrected. So I think if we have that attitude of God, I'm here, use me. I will be bold when you tell me to be bold, but I also need to have enough humility to say, I can get this wrong.

SPEAKER_01

That's good.

SPEAKER_00

And so having people that you can share dreams with, that you can share if you have a word of God. I believe this is a word from God, but I'm not going to be so arrogant as to speak that out, God said. So when I get something in a dream, oftentimes the first person I'll share it with is my husband. He knows me better than anyone. And I'll say, does this sound strange to you? How does it sound to you? But I think we grow in confidence in what God is speaking or showing us in dreams as we just engage with the process and realize that he does do that. That is part of how the human experience and how he speaks to us when we are entering that realm of the spirit.

SPEAKER_01

Tell me a little bit about how you do that.

Turning Insight Into Intercession

SPEAKER_00

Oh, if it doesn't line up with the word of God, you throw it out. Uh, you know, easy peasy things are um if someone comes to me and says, I've been believing for a husband and I believe that uh God has shown me that uh Bill Smith is going to be my husband. Well, Bill Smith happens to already be married, so that's probably not going to line up with the word of God. Uh but sometimes it takes a little digging effort uh when we feel God is leading us a direction. Number one, does it clearly line up with that is his word? Uh if it if he says, go into all the world and preach the gospel, and we think, I think God's leading me to go to Canada to do this. Well, you can't open your Bible and it says, Thus saith the Lord, go to Canada. But through prayer, he's going to give confirmations because his word says in the mouth of two or three word witnesses, I will establish every word. It will line what God is saying to us, will line up with his word because God does not speak outside of his word. His word is his will. We just need to be patient and give anything enough time to get that confirmation from God.

SPEAKER_01

Another thing is discerning in the dream through emotions. Can you speak a little bit about that?

Praying From A Heavenly Perspective

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Um, now let me say initially, we are to be led not by our emotions, but by the Spirit of God, because emotions are subject to change and emotions can be untrue. Having said that, emotions in dreams are important. If, for instance, I have a dream and there was a man in the dream that came and spoke something to me. And if my emotion in the dream was there's something wrong with this guy, or if I felt uneasy, then I'm going to know that in that dream, that probably was not someone that represented God's will. Okay. So when I go back and look at the dreams I've written, I ask myself, what was I feeling at that moment when this occurred in my dream? Because that's going to tell me a little bit about my discernment. So I think emotions can help with discernment. Oftentimes you'll meet someone and they seem to look right and say right and speak right, but you have that gut feeling, there's something wrong with that person. That's a gift God's given us to be able to discern that. And our emotions are involved with it.

SPEAKER_01

I love that. I love that. Um you taught me something, and I I had already started storing my dreams, so I thought, in a certain way, I would record them and and I had audios of them. You challenged me to store them differently and to go a step further, which was writing them. Tell me when did that start? If it started in a specific time, or at least what have you gotten out of doing that?

SPEAKER_00

It um I have tracked all of my I know what my prophetic dreams are and what my pizza dreams are.

SPEAKER_01

And for for people, by the way, for people that are from another country that may not understand, we have uh right now uh 26, 27 countries that are listening, and they may not have pizza, and they may not understand the saying of pizza. Uh just pizza dreams are well.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, if I go down to the local pizza parlor, and this is an Oklahoma accent, I'm saying P-I-Z-Z-A, and I buy a pizza with pepperonis and peppers and onions on it, and my stomach gets a little upset and I have a weird dream, I say it's that pizza I ate that gave me that silly dream. So uh anyway, so when I'm getting off track here. Let's see, the question was about the dreams. So if I am confident that I have just had a prophetic dream and there is a message in it for me, I'm going to first write it down. I'm going to get it while it's fresh. Then when I'm awake, I'm going to say, okay, let me close my eyes and go back into that dream. Are there any other details or emotions that I need to write down that are going to be a piece to this puzzle? And there are times, Joe, that I have gone back maybe a week later and said, man, I just remembered something about that dream and I don't think I wrote it down. But what I have found is oftentimes these dreams create a sequential in sequence, a roadmap that I may have seen something in a dream that will come to pass months later. I can then go back to that dream and say, what did I see in that dream that applies to the situation I'm in now? So I think our dreams are important. And once we learn to cooperate with the Spirit of God where our dreams are concerned, they can become valuable tools in our assignments God has given us in this life.

From Intercession To Legislation

SPEAKER_01

Definitely. I love that part of our friendship that I've even learned that from you as you've coached me through this entire prayer journey. That was probably one of the biggest things that I have applied. And I say biggest, not that it mattered most, but it was through that that I was able to see, like you said, the sequences. There was a correlation between my dreams. There were things that God was showing me throughout, and I could go back and look at them and say, wait a minute, this has come up before. What is God saying? And through that, then even notice how the enemy was even attacking at certain points, or where was God going to take me? So much insight. I mean, we could do a whole podcast on this, but I just wanted the even the listeners to know that God could use that in a powerful way. Now, once we have information, there's something else that we have gotten into as well. And is what do we use these dreams for? And a lot of times they end up being for intercession. And so as we are getting information, we've gotten into some powerful prayers. What how did you learn that?

SPEAKER_00

Well, there's uh my daughter keeps telling me I need to write a book. You should. You know what? I think, Joe, it's just been learned by experience. Um, and then I always test what I'm learning. Again, uh, I trust the people that are around me uh who have walked in faith longer than I have to keep me on track. But uh back to your question about the dreams. What I have seen in the time that you and I have been friends, and um, there's another woman that we both know that I met through you that also has prophetic dreams. And as I look back just on the last 18 months to two years of our friendship, there have been some transitional situations uh in life that have sometimes transitionals, even transitionals, when you transition from one season to another, it's a good thing, but it can be a challenge. It can be difficult. And because you and this um other woman that we know and I were all focused on that same time of transition, the dreams that we were able to share brought together a full picture that showed a positive outcome on the other side of the challenging. Hopefully. Hopefully.

SPEAKER_01

Isn't that what God intends out of when he speaks out of his relationship with us that we will stay hopeful? Yes. You know, and so when we are getting revelation, it's so that we don't get stuck on the lies of the enemy. He's the the Bible talks about the truth will set us free. Yes. And there's revelation that is going on in dreams that are allowing us to hold on to what God is saying. And I love that we have been able to do that and and even in their intercession, expand the kingdom of God because we have insight. You know, heavenly realms is something that you continually say, and and God's perspective on, and that just aligns so much with things that God was speaking to me and what I was living at the moment that we met, but I didn't have the tools. Talk to me about praying from a heavenly perspective.

SPEAKER_00

I as you were speaking just now uh uh and talking about intel, you know, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, they're mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. It's a spiritual battle that we're in. Does it manifest in this earth where we are now? Oh, yes, it does. But when we realize that we are seated with him, with Jesus Christ in heavenly places, far above principalities, powers, rulers of darkness in this world, and spiritual wickedness in heavenly places, we're above that. Does not that mean that we have the ability to see what's going on?

SPEAKER_01

Come on.

Boldness With Humility In Prayer

SPEAKER_00

We have that ability to see that. That is long as only if we are submitted to Jesus Christ and to the word of God. If we think we're gonna run out here and I'm gonna have a dream and I'm gonna go do whatever I want. No, no, no, no. This is we have to be in that position of submission, or this does not work. Right. But yes, we have intelligence. You you think about think about an army in the natural and the intel that they have before they even plan a military maneuver, they have to know what they are going to do. And our relationship with the Holy Spirit, who is our teacher, our counselor, our guide, our instructor, he knows the mind of Christ. We don't. But as we align ourselves, when we get an alignment with God's assignment for us, the intel is available to us, but we have to do it according to God's plan and by his word.

SPEAKER_01

So we're talking about a godly strategy that he reveals to us in prayer, but in a place of intercession. And we've talked about a place of intercession. Even as I pastored uh for these uh four plus years now, I have had a heart transplant. Like God has put me in a place of, okay, you interceded before, but now you intercede with a pastor's heart. When you do that, the heart of God transforms you in that place of prayer where you then see yourself in a different light. It's it's beyond you. Now is how can we move the body of Christ? Like the heart of He goes after the one, you know, no sheep scattered and just how he loves his people. When we when we have the tools and we get that revelation in intercession, there's then a place that we have we've talked about coming out of, right? Can you talk to us a little bit about that right after you come out of intercession, that posture and that that authority that we have?

SPEAKER_00

It's confidence. It's confidence because we have taken a submissive pit uh position of going to the secret place. When we enter into that secret place with him, and you know, I our pastor, we have the same pastor, has taught recently and uh demonstrated the you know, the court and going into the court at the tabernacle. Tabernacle, yes, thank you. And how we go through the outer court into the inner court and then into the most holy of holies. When we take that position, I'm going into that secret holy place, there's an exchange that happens. We bring, we bring our worship to God, but we also bring our inability to Him. And when we submit that to Him as an offering, because we're confident that we are covered in the blood of Jesus, there is an exchange. And when we turn and walk out, and this is what our pastor told us, she said, we go in, you know, seeking the word of God on the matter, and we go out and we become the word of God as we now go forth with the heart of God to change our, to change our environment in the natural to get into alignment with the kingdom of heaven.

Psalm 91 As Daily Decree

SPEAKER_01

Isn't it so great how Jesus like he set the example of what an intercession moment looked like when he interceded for us and you have uh John chapter 14, 15, that he's going into that moment of prayer that we would stay united, that even the unity that we have as a body of Christ would reflect the unity that he has with the Father. Like it would speak about him through our unity. It would testify. We would be a mirror of his love. And it's so great because we have so many things going on in the world. At this very moment, we're at war, and there's so many problems that are going on in the world that are causing division. You know, when we talk about intercession, we're putting everything to the side and we're like in a place of desiring God's will to be done to not just our surroundings, but to the entire world. We become what I saw in you, a secret agent that is going around the world and making things happen. We go so far beyond our city walls, which you know, we've we've talked about our city walls in the spirit, but we go so far beyond that because we have made ourselves available. And it reminds, and we've spoken about Nehemiah and Esther from a place of asking God for forgiveness and and repenting for the people, right? For their behavior, for their ways that Esther and Nehemiah weren't part of it, but their posture in humility, in intercession, then allow them to get to the place of being able to lead the people. Amen. You call that something specific.

Court Of Heaven And Spiritual Strategy

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Um, if we will look at the book of Esther, there is uh such a concise example. Esther went from intercession to legislation. And what happened was there was a it was a critical situation. She fasted and she called the people to a fast. She they interceded. She went before the king at the peril of her own life. Now, I will say we need intercessors. You and I are both intercessors, but because we are the body of Christ, we are therefore the ruling legislative body in the earth. And if all we do is intercede, we've only done half of our job. Esther went from intercession, which was required, then she switched because the king told her and Mordecai, here, you write the decree, you make the law, and I will back it up. It's the same with us. And Jesus, he is our king. We intercede with him, but at some point he expects us to write the decree, write the legal decree, and he will back it up. So when we move out of our position as intercessors and transition into our lawful position as legislators in this world, that's when we really start seeing the power of prayer coming to pass. We do not do this alone. If we are going up against principalities and powers, we don't run out there like, you know, taking our squirt gun into a firefight if the house is on fire. This requires unity. But when those elements are in place, oh my goodness, we've got a fire hose instead of a squirt gun, don't we?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, yes.

SPEAKER_00

That's when we see things change.

SPEAKER_01

You know, I love because the same example, if we're talking about, you know, steps, here's where we're can actually get steps. Nehemiah did the same thing. He fasted, repented, reminded God, because he was saying, Hey, God, you said that if this happened, which was the repentance, if your people repented, this is all in chapter one of Nehemiah. So I'm paraphrasing. It was the same thing that Esther did. They presented themselves for the people. And then that that place gave them the heart of God, right? A place of being able to pray out the heart of God, not their desires, the heart of God. Amen. And in that place, then they got that from that humility, right? Because it's a place of humility to then the legislation, they were able to get that authority. So talking about now we're in a place of legislation and we have authority, what type of authority should we be declaring over this earth?

SPEAKER_00

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done. Come on. That's it. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done. And in that authority, we have the promise of God. He said, if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, what we've been talking about, I will hear from heaven and I will heal their land. Come on. The land on planet earth needs some healing, doesn't it?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah.

Praying For The Next Generation

SPEAKER_00

We have a part to play in it. But but God's in control. God is sovereign. He's going to do whatever he wants. God obviously needs us to take our position and to do the prayer part and work in cooperation with him. Right. Because if God is so sovereign and we know his word is his will, then how come everybody isn't saved? Because it says, I wish above all things, you know, that you would prosper, be in health. I wish that everyone would be saved and come to the knowledge. We're not puppets. God doesn't force us. We have free will. But through our intercession, we can pray salvation over people. We can humble ourselves and see Him heal our land. We can see, let it be done on earth as it is in heaven, come to pass. Is it going to happen overnight? No. But we have so many victories and prayer stories, you know, that we've also experienced. It gives us that bold confidence that even with humility we can go forward. You know, that's that's the position on our knees, but also standing in prayer, united with him. We will see the things come to pass that are according to his word.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Which gives them then this place, right? We got Nehemiah, then he goes before the king, so he had proximity, but now he had the authority and the boldness to go and ask. And that is a place that we don't stand on. We have the authority, but we don't have the boldness. So what about us grabbing a hold of boldness that is so important?

SPEAKER_00

Boldness without humility can become arrogance. But humility without boldness becomes passivity.

SPEAKER_01

That's good.

A Prayer Of Salvation And Destiny

SPEAKER_00

When we've got both of them, and it's not not my will but yours be done, isn't that what Jesus prayed? We have the confidence that what we ask, He is going to do. That that is faith 101, according to his word. And wouldn't it have been nice if I had known all of this when I was 22 years old? Boy, what could I have accomplished between now and then? No, I'm on God's timetable. But just like our friends who are listening to us right now. And I'm going to call them friends because if they're listening, I believe they're in the body. So they're our brothers and sisters. We're communing with them right now. What God is doing through all of us right now, He is intends to use us to go out there with confidence, not arrogance and not presumptuousness, but with confidence we are going to go and do what He has called us to do, beginning right in our own backyards. And so I just believe we can release that bold humility, confidence over everyone that's listening to our voice right now because we are all together. There's no distance in prayer. We're together now, even though we can't see each other.

SPEAKER_01

Amen. There's so many things going through my mind right now. I got a lot of um a lot of revelation through intercession as well. So I'm trying to take the story from Nehemiah. As he went into that place, the revelation was so important because now he could describe with boldness what God had sent them to do. So can we say that boldness is trusting God?

SPEAKER_00

It is. And and um, you know, where God says, if uh, you know, he says, you know, come come before the throne of grace to get the wisdom you need. If you don't have wisdom, come boldly and ask. But he says, you better ask in faith knowing because a double-minded person isn't gonna get that answer. And that to your point, yes, we come with, and if you don't want to call it boldness, call it confidence. Yeah, because we're confident in his word. And he's not gonna send us to do anything for the first time that we could really mess up. You know, I mean, I remember when, you know, just like, am I supposed to speak to that woman in the grocery store? Well, if I messed up and I was wrong, it was on a pretty small scale where it wasn't gonna hurt me or hurt anybody.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So we can be confident that wherever we are in our faith walk, God will call us to do something. We're all still in training, we're all still learning. But I will say over the years that I have walked in faith, he has never sent me into a situation that I wasn't able to navigate with his help.

SPEAKER_01

Is there a prayer that you made that truly changed the course of your life?

SPEAKER_00

Ooh, I'd have there's been a lot of them. I'd have. Well, I think I think one of them is I'm not God, you are. That one probably changed more than anything else. I'm not in charge of my life. He is. So my prayer was I I still pray that sometimes. Hello, I'm not God, you are. Now, can we talk about this?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, yeah. From a place of uh, you know, I know I'm gonna get something from you, right? Like I need you right now. That's awesome. You know, you've taught me so much in prayer, and and I'm blessed by it. I I I have no words to express how much it has changed me. If you could sit down with every young believer, I know we're gonna reach, you know, um hopefully many people in Jesus' name that that are hearing this. But with people that want to go deeper in prayer for their life, what will you tell them? Like, how should they start?

Closing And Next Steps

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna give you an answer that doesn't seem like it's the answer to your question. I'm going to tell them to pray over their destiny. If they have been filled with the Spirit of God and have the uh gift of speaking in other tongues, if they have their prayer language, pray out your destiny in the spirit. If not, use your own what you know and to pray out your destiny, because that is going to pull in naturally learning how to pray. If I'm going to fulfill my destiny, and maybe I don't know exactly what that is yet, but I'm gonna align with my destiny, Father. Give me revelation, truth, that's where I would start. That does not seem like I answered your question, but it all starts with prayer. Nothing happens except by prayer. So that would be step one. This is my destiny, accept it and say yes to God.

SPEAKER_01

Amen. Is there a specific habit or even a rhythm that has helped you throughout the years get closer to God?

SPEAKER_00

For me, years ago, I memorized Psalm 91. And to this day, I mean, I pray it when I go to sleep, I pray it over my family, I pray it over the body of Christ. I am still getting nuggets of revelation out of that after 30-something from when I first memorized it. So I would say that for me has been a place, it's my place of refuge, it's my address in the spirit, and it's a never-ending fountain of truth and revelation for every situation. You know what? I changed the beginning up a little for myself. I I acknowledge, you know, I say, here I am, I am Stacy. I dwell in the secret place of the Most High. Therefore, I abide under the shadow of the Almighty covenant-making and covenant-keeping God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob Israel. So I bring sometimes my own language into that prayer and adjust it for what I'm going through.

SPEAKER_01

So you have turned it into a declaration.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, decrees, you know. Amen. He is my God, in him I will trust.

SPEAKER_01

After a lifetime of prayer walking with God, what has he shown you that you wish every believer understood before it's too late?

SPEAKER_00

That nothing happens without prayer. It is never too late to start and no prayer, even if we think it is, but this is just so minor, it's so small, I don't know how to pray it. Pray.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

If we pray with that mustard seed of faith, sow that seed of prayer, sow your prayer as a seed, you're gonna get a tree out of it.

SPEAKER_01

You know, there's been so many moments where you've I've been talking to you and you say, we're gonna pray about that. And and and I don't know, I mean, I'm a pastor, and yet it that's not what crossed my mind. How did things change like that for you? Was there something specific, or it's just, is it the time that you've just been with God that you're like, I'm not going any further without him?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, well, yeah, I'm I'm glad I finally got to that point, you know. I it wasn't, it wasn't always a perfect walk because I kind of, you know, I kind of like to do things my way. I'm not an unintelligent person, but it's like, hmm, maybe instead of jumping in and just being presumptuous and going in and grabbing this thing by the throat, let's pray about this and see if God has a strategy on it. Because, you know, oftentimes, here's what I have learned, and and this is what I want you all to listen to me very carefully now. I learned that as an experienced prayer warrior, there were times that I did not need to be out fighting a battle on the battlefield. And I love a good fight. I learned that instead of going to the battlefield, I could simply go to the court of heaven and get my verdict from God, and I didn't have to go into the fight. Now that's a whole nother podcast. So we'll take that up the next time, maybe. But I think that would be the biggest thing, is is sometimes we don't have to fight because the decision has already been rendered. We just need to enforce the verdict.

SPEAKER_01

Amen. And in the same way, I would say that praying in the spirit is something else that allows you to just trust God and pray.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, that's that's that's the big granddaddy weapon of them all. Because we're not praying our prayer, we're praying the Holy Spirit's prayer in it.

SPEAKER_02

Amen.

SPEAKER_00

And so uh if if people are not filled or they don't know what we're talking about, um, you know, get into your word, go into the book of Acts and read about the Holy Spirit and about people getting filled with the Spirit.

SPEAKER_01

Amen. Now we're almost coming to an end here, but uh, I have a couple of questions uh for you. One of them is when you pray for my generation or the one that's following me, what do you feel God is saying, or what is God's heart for us?

SPEAKER_00

I think there is such opportunity and there there is such treasure in these generations because I have grandchildren that are in that generation and they have been raised up in the things of God. But I think the generations that are after mine, you all are going to face things that I could not have even imagined. And so when I pray for those younger people that are coming along after our generations, I have a responsibility to pave the way for them. And a lot of that comes through praying in the spirit. You know, God make the way for this generation, raise them up. This is the body of Yeshua, right? And I believe that no matter what things look like in the natural, uh I I never I never knew there were more than two genders, Joe. And my gosh, I couldn't name all the ones that they think are out there now. Right. Who who thought about that when I was young? Nobody. But if God is calling this generation, and He is, and He is equipping them, then I'm having to pray it out in the spirit because the same weapons of the warfare belong to my generation and belong to the ones that are coming behind. But they're probably going to be used differently than we use them. So I pray to equip, equip this generation, give them wisdom, give them insight, show them, teach their hands to war, put them in those positions in culture where they need to be. And I believe God's doing it.

SPEAKER_01

Strike them with wisdom, you said.

SPEAKER_00

Strike them with wisdom and sound judgment. Yes.

SPEAKER_01

I love that.

SPEAKER_00

Call fire down upon those people. Give them wisdom and sound judgment.

SPEAKER_01

When you eventually stand before God, what do you hope he will say about your prayer life?

SPEAKER_00

Just what the word says. Well done, good and faithful servant. And then I'm going to see what else I have to learn that I didn't learn while I was here. I've got an eternity to learn it, don't I?

SPEAKER_01

Amen. What are you praying for in this season of your life?

SPEAKER_00

In this season, I am focused on my next season of life. And what is it he wants me to accomplish? A lot of it is how can I help those who are coming after me? That is my focus. And how can I continue to, with those dear feet, how can I continue to climb this mountain and make that way straight for those who are coming after?

SPEAKER_01

Stacy, I look forward to every Friday that we get to spend time together. I wouldn't have it any other way. And I would just like for them to hear you pray for them. There's so much that is going on in this world. And even through this podcast, there is one episode that's called, Am I a Slave? as a question mark. Am I a slave? I've listened to that. It is the most listened to episode, and it still is. Now, I don't know what people are going through, but God knows, and He can meet them exactly where they're at. Would you um lead us into a prayer?

SPEAKER_00

Amen. Yeah. Well, Father, thank you for this time together. There is no distance in prayer. And Lord, as I am here with my precious friend, my brother, and sometimes I call him my son with Pastor Joe, Lord, I thank you for the anointing on his life, and I thank you for the power of agreement.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

And Lord, I know we're speaking to more than one person, but right now I am speaking and praying for the one who is engaged with this prayer. I thank you, Father, that this was an ordained time and the word that you have said that has sparked that person's heart. I speak life over the seed of faith that has been sown today. I speak destiny over this one that is here with us right now, just as if we could lay our hands on you. Yes. Right now, I decree that your mind is renewed to the word of God. Therefore, as you keep it stayed on him, he will keep you in perfect peace even in the midst of the chaos of your circumstances. I want you by faith to receive right now. I want you to see me and Joe reaching out, and I'm going to call it a destiny stone. Oh, and just we hand you this beautiful stone that represents your destiny in the kingdom of God. And that comes with an anointing of completion on it. We decree that you will fulfill the destiny God has created for you. And you may be saying right now, but I don't know if I know God. I don't know if I'm saved. Well, then we're just going to pray a simple prayer and you can pray it right after us. And just say this, Father, in the name of Jesus.

SPEAKER_01

Father, in the name of Jesus.

SPEAKER_00

I know that I am a sinner. I know that I am a sinner. And I know that I need to be saved. And I know that I need to be saved. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. It's the Son of God. That He died on the cross.

SPEAKER_01

That He died on the cross.

SPEAKER_00

That He paid for my sins.

SPEAKER_01

That He paid for my sins.

SPEAKER_00

And that He rose from the dead.

SPEAKER_01

And that He rose. From the dead.

SPEAKER_00

And with this confession, and with this confession, I know that I am saved. I know that I am safe. I know that I am in the kingdom of God. I know that I am in the kingdom of all of his promises belong to me.

SPEAKER_01

And I know that all of his promises belong to me.

SPEAKER_00

Father, I thank you in the name of Jesus for those who have come to know you today. I thank you that their destinies in you are secured. Father, I ask that they will not feel alone, that you will surround them with community and with a body of believers, whether that's in the natural or whether they get it online. I thank you that the resources are there for them and that today has been a turning point for everyone who has listened today. Lord, I thank you that you love them, we love them, and I thank you that their destinies are secured in the name of Jesus.

SPEAKER_01

Amen. What an honor. Thank you so much.

SPEAKER_00

What a blessing.
