You read your Bible, you pray, you serve, and you want to follow Jesus well. But
something inside still feels…off. Maybe you say “yes” when you’re exhausted because you fear disappointing people. Maybe you pretend to agree to keep the peace. Maybe you feel resentful when things don’t go your way, but don’t know why. Could it be that your spiritual life looks healthy on the outside while something unhealthy is happening beneath the surface? When we ignore our emotional life, we misapply Scripture, live reactionary rather than responsive lives, and limit our ability to love God and others deeply. This sermon will expose the problem of emotional immaturity and reveal what the Bible teaches about the emotional life God designed for us.
