Convinced God Moves
Guests describe a season of struggle and how they found hope to press on.
We tend to have surface level conversations. This is appropriate in a parking lot or grocery store but in this podcast the aim will be to go deeper!
The plumb line is simply this - share something tough that impacted your life. The tricky thing is finding people who will unpack these kind of stories with a microphone sitting in front of them. But I'm going to keep asking and we'll see where this goes.
I authentically believe this type of sharing helps people! We need a counter balance from the constant highlight reels. There is value in holding space to listen to hard stuff. The added bonus is we might walk away with a little more hope for our own battles.

Prodigal Son
Linda shares about her youngest son Josh and some of the struggles he has had in his adult years. Hurt with his church, Deconstructing his faith, Fighting depression, horrible side effects with medications, having an arm amputated after an accident, living on the streets and currently in jail.
In this episode Linda reads some of the verses that have been a comfort in this time of waiting. She talks about the gift of connecting with other people who have loved ones in jail and how meaningful it was to hear their insight. Stories of people who have come beside them and prayed with them. She says that the Holy Spirit is all about community and their family (the body of Christ) has gotten really big in this crisis. She gives some great encouragement to pray over our Prodigals.
