Convinced God Moves
Guests describe a season of struggle and how they found hope to press on.
We tend to have surface level conversations. This is appropriate in a parking lot or grocery store but in this podcast the aim will be to go deeper!
The plumb line is simply this - share something tough that impacted your life. The tricky thing is finding people who will unpack these kind of stories with a microphone sitting in front of them. But I'm going to keep asking and we'll see where this goes.
I authentically believe this type of sharing helps people! We need a counter balance from the constant highlight reels. There is value in holding space to listen to hard stuff. The added bonus is we might walk away with a little more hope for our own battles.

Physical & Mental Abuse
Evie lived through years of terror in her marriage, a seemingly impossible divorce and on going custody battles with her first husband. He was physically and mentally abusive to both her and their son.
With the constant threat that she would be killed if she talked to anyone Evie remained silent yet people kept reaching out to her saying things like "I'm not sure why I'm giving you this" or "I'm not sure why I'm telling you this" Evie confidently describes how God provided for her over and over again.
In all her battles Evie remained faithful to hold tightly to her faith explaining that the joy of the Lord was her strength. Evie shares about seeing an angel, a vision, being given a safe house, toys for her son & money for food. And ultimately the biggest provision for the safety of her son in the sudden death of his abusive father.
