Convinced God Moves
Guests describe a season of struggle and how they found hope to press on.
We tend to have surface level conversations. This is appropriate in a parking lot or grocery store but in this podcast the aim will be to go deeper!
The plumb line is simply this - share something tough that impacted your life. The tricky thing is finding people who will unpack these kind of stories with a microphone sitting in front of them. But I'm going to keep asking and we'll see where this goes.
I authentically believe this type of sharing helps people! We need a counter balance from the constant highlight reels. There is value in holding space to listen to hard stuff. The added bonus is we might walk away with a little more hope for our own battles.

Drowning & Medically Fragile Life
Sue recounts the horror of her precious toddler, Luke, getting out of his gate and drowning in their backyard pool. She will describe who found him, who performed CPR and how long it was before he showed any signs of life.
While Luke was able to eventually return to their home it wasn't without 24/7 nursing care. She explains how 4 members of their family members were able to get training so they could manage the many "layers of hard" that was ahead.
So many ripple effects came with the impossible balancing act of raising 7 children in the midst of Luke's constant therapies, hospital stays and countless sleepless nights.
At 18 years of age Luke passed away after a vacation that he got to see all of his brothers and sisters. Sue tenderly shares the last few minutes of his life.
