Gator is on vacation in California hanging out with his buddy donkey. We watch USA Australia futball and then call a real Australian named big monkey. This is the best sports talk we ever did.
But now I've got to get the um recording going, right? Don't worry about it. Sorry. You gotta get the recording going? No, no. Put it on speaker. Okay, ready?
SPEAKER_01Call him. Wait, just wait on speaker?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, call him and then hit speaker.
SPEAKER_01Call him and hit speaker.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, call him and hit speaker phone. Do you know?
SPEAKER_02But this is pointing up. Yeah, well, that's okay. Because this is gonna catch all of us now. Just right there. That's it. Let's see if it's gonna work. Is your volume all the way up?
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_03Hey, who is this?
SPEAKER_05This is Sliceberg.
SPEAKER_03Sliceberg, yes. This is uh Gator.
SPEAKER_05I thought we don't say our names anymore.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah, that's right. But um I'm here with somebody else that I have to introduce.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_03So uh but he need but he I need a nickname. But he needs a nickname.
SPEAKER_01Okay. We need to come up with a nickname.
SPEAKER_03So how how did you get your nickname? Sliceberg. Yeah, Sliceberg. How did you get Sliceberg?
SPEAKER_05Well, you uh you said you called me iceberg. Originally it wasn't sliceberg, it was iceberg, as an iceberg lettuce. And then pretty quickly um Shell Dog uh made a portmanteau of of slice and iceberg, and then it kind of morphed into slice burg, which is better actually. I'm glad that that's how it turned out.
SPEAKER_03Slice because you make dough and work at a pizza place, so it's slice and the iceberg. So his favorite food is iceberg. His favorite food is iceberg. Okay, so we made the backstory.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well when we needed your favorite food is iceberg lettuce? Yeah. That was we did a few episodes on that.
SPEAKER_03So I decided to call him iceberg or iberg, but then it turned into Sliceberg. But me, I thought Gator was sounded like a cool nickname.
SPEAKER_01What, just because you're Florida?
SPEAKER_03Just because I like the Gators, I like Gatorade. And uh it just it it has like it's kind of like tough, swampy guy, you know.
SPEAKER_05You got you got alligators living in your backyard, right?
SPEAKER_03I got alligators in my backyard, so gator, you know. I I went to University of Florida one time. So anyway, that's how we got. So uh this guy here. This is my first podcast. This is my I'm visiting my podcast.
SPEAKER_01I think it's awesome that my first podcast is the number one podcast.
SPEAKER_03It's just number one. Oh it's just number one.
SPEAKER_01It's not the why. It's not the there's no the.
SPEAKER_03You said it's the number one. Oh, but you were probably just trying to use normal English. But we have to be very careful that we because we don't want people looking up the number one podcast.
SPEAKER_05Right, because that's not us.
SPEAKER_03They would not find us. They're probably somebody else trying to copy us.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03So number one.
SPEAKER_01You're the Trailblazers.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so my what are you um what's your favorite food?
SPEAKER_01Pizza. That's not the bad. Of course it is. Is this uh is this all a commercial? Is this all this what this is? It's pizza.
SPEAKER_03Uh I'm in course. I'm in uh I'm in Oha, California.
SPEAKER_01So it can't go from pizza. Because your number one food isn't gators.
SPEAKER_03No, I know, but I I just but his is I guess I was just trying to give you an idea. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Because his is food.
SPEAKER_03Here is what sounds like a good nickname to you. Have you ever had a n wanted a nickname and and but didn't know how to introduce it? Like this like you always thought, oh, it'd be cool if my name was Rolo or whatever. No.
SPEAKER_01I would like if I guess I would like somewhere across between a nickname and like a superhero name, maybe. Okay. Like something heroic or with many. My last name's Beebe, and people would just call me Beebs or Beeb or you know, BB gun or whatever, and that was boring. But I would like something like Thor. Some kind of Thor? Or something. Thor, yeah. Something like epic. But you can't steal Thor.
SPEAKER_03Right?
SPEAKER_01I said something like that. I was just giving you as a like like something that something that that my wife would be proud to say, oh yeah, that's that's my husband. What about Big Dog? Yeah, Big Dog's been told. That's that's Jay Leno's that's big that's Jay Leno's nickname.
SPEAKER_03Well, how did I mean Shell Dog? Shell Dog got his nickname. Woof woof. Yeah, yeah. I already know. Yeah, I told him. I did it before you. So did you watch the World Cup man uh slice?
SPEAKER_05Uh I watched when you texted me and said that I should watch it for the purposes of sports talk. Yeah, and then I I turned it on. But that it was already 2 nil when I turned it off.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_05Who were you rooting to in soccer you don't say 2-0, you say 2-0.
SPEAKER_03What do you what do you say in tennis? To love.
SPEAKER_05Love. Love. Tennis is tennis, of course, is the only game where love counts for nothing.
SPEAKER_01Oh. Did you just make that up just right now? Yeah, of course I didn't. Trademark that or copyright that or something.
SPEAKER_03Okay, well uh what do I get do we have like uh that was basically your sports talk. You came to the game and it was already 2-0.
SPEAKER_05Right. I missed I missed the exciting, the only exciting parts.
SPEAKER_03Um Well. Should I call? Should we try? We do like we know a guy.
SPEAKER_01Should I try the guy?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we know a guy. It's we're gonna try to call him. This is like getting really crazy, y'all. We're gonna try to call a guy. And and he's from Australia. Right?
SPEAKER_05Uh he's a he's an Aussie?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01He's an Aussie.
SPEAKER_03And so we were watching. We could have like really good uh World Cup commentary right here, like fresh after the game. You know, fresh off the game. Fresh. Couple guys from the USA, guy from Australia.
SPEAKER_05Crocking Might.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, this is kind of the really cutting-edge content that we bring you.
SPEAKER_05Well, what's up with Vegemite? That's what I want to know. Do you like Vegemite? He's screen, he's screening you.
SPEAKER_03Did you hear that Aussie voice? Are we gonna leave a message? All right, let's leave a message.
SPEAKER_01Big Monkey.
SPEAKER_03Oh, he's Big Monkey. See, he's Big Monkey.
SPEAKER_01He already has it.
SPEAKER_03He has a his nickname is Big Monkey.
SPEAKER_01The whole podcast, and we're doing the sports thing, and you're the only Aussie that lost today. And what what else?
SPEAKER_03Can we call you Donkey?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_03Donkey's good. Donkey's small donkey.
SPEAKER_01Call back. We'll wait, we'll wait for your small donkey? It's a podcast. It's like live or something.
unknownOh yeah.
SPEAKER_03Oh, it's live. Oh, it's basically about to be live. Um, so listen, Slice. I I uh I went to see Grummy and Eleanor and the twins, right? To a pizza place in Denver, Colorado. You know what I'm saying? That's great.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03And uh how'd it go? It went great. We had a we were there a long time. Uh the twins made a huge mess. Uh both Eleanor and Grummy are uh celiacs, so they had gluten-free pizzas. Me, my sister, and my daughter all shared a large pepperoni pizza, which was delicious. It was it's Colorado style, so it's got a really big crust and a lot of cheese and pepperoni. It was delicious. And and then with the crust, you um you put honey on it. You got this big, like it's almost like a pretzel at the end, and then they have honey on the table, and you you put honey on it. You dip it up, yeah. You or you just pour the honey on the crust.
SPEAKER_05Yes, it's uh regular honey, not hot, not hot honey, regular honey.
SPEAKER_03Just regular honey.
SPEAKER_05Nice. I love that.
SPEAKER_03I didn't get a picture, bro. Like, how do you go? How does this like I I took a picture while I was sitting there of you know my pizza and the twins in the background, uh but I didn't get like a like you know, like a picture picture. You know, like here we all are, like grummy, Eleanor, you just have a mental picture. Yeah, which is fine for me, but what about our dozens of listeners?
SPEAKER_01You could draw it out like they do when they go into a courtroom.
SPEAKER_03I could draw it, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Right? Like artists rendition artists. Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_03So, and then I made a recording, but it was um it just seemed it wasn't it it was just like I'd turn it on and off and on and off and on and off throughout the dinner that we had, the the pizza dinner. And a little bit after that, when I was watching the uh the final game five of the uh basketball, and I was like, this isn't very good. I'm not sure I want to release it. But now that I've talked to you, I'm gonna release it as a bonus to this real episode.
SPEAKER_05Okay, so uh it'll appear in the feed.
SPEAKER_03Yes, it will appear in the feed. Okay, nice. But uh I think that um we need a nickname here for Tom Keep. Oh, that was that's a whole that's a placeholder. Can we just use that as a placeholder?
SPEAKER_01You haven't set up. Is this how you guys do this podcast? You just it's basically just a phone call that you're recording.
SPEAKER_03No, we do it in person.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you do it in person.
SPEAKER_03We don't do it as a phone call. We've this is the first time.
SPEAKER_01If your audience doesn't know anything about like where you are right now, that you're calling from my house on the West Coast. Like, you gotta set the stage for your audience. Yeah, I actually kind of agree with that.
SPEAKER_03You have to like the intelligence of your thrown off because I I have you in front of me and him over there on the city. Okay, so where are you? So let's pretend we're gonna start again. Okay.
SPEAKER_01And you start with the name of your instruments, I know you don't have your instruments. You don't have your instruments.
SPEAKER_05So you know, well, I have mine.
SPEAKER_01So okay, so he has his, and then just start it again and go, hi, we're here from and set the stage. I'm calling, blah, blah.
SPEAKER_03What so so this guy you could tell is a director, right? I'm out here in California, and this is my thing. He's like so kind of he got to direct everything. You see what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_01I'm just I hey, I'm looking out for your viewers. Yeah, yeah, he's right. You gotta look out for your viewers.
SPEAKER_03He's right. He's right. Hey, here we are, and uh we don't usually announce our podcast, but we just started the podcast. Uh I'm I've visited California and my friend uh Steve here, Steve Beebe in uh Ohio, California. And he's on the back porch. Oh man, he's got a lovely place here, a couple acres in uh foothills of the what do you call that? It sounds amazing. The beautiful world. Sounds strange. It's great.
SPEAKER_01And so we've got we've got lawn work going off in the side, you know.
SPEAKER_03I don't think they can hear that.
SPEAKER_01They can't?
SPEAKER_03No, I got a special system.
SPEAKER_01I got a special system on your look. I have I look at I'm looking at one phone pointing at another phone. That's the high-tech situation going on right now on my back porch.
SPEAKER_03That's well, I think that might be what's keeping us from from getting like big on Netflix and stuff. Right? That and the fact that we're not filming.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah. Uh anyway, we we're so I'm I'm visiting, I'm visiting, and now we uh a call's coming in. Let's call's coming in.
SPEAKER_01Sorry, hang on, hang on, hang on. I gotta put the pelly out so we can record. We're gonna record it and we're in the middle of the podcast, and now we're recording, and so now tell us your feelings here.
SPEAKER_03Okay, we so we got right on the line here. Hello, my name is Gator, we got Sliceberg, and we got Donkey over here. No, and then we got old monkey, big monkey coming in.
SPEAKER_01My nickname is not my nickname is not Donkey.
SPEAKER_03It's we're a placeholder. Donkey is a placeholder of a nickname until we find something better.
SPEAKER_04So how do you well let's get back to space. Sounds like the kind of circus I'd like to be involved in.
SPEAKER_03We were trying to be like the premier um World Cup. Uh how do you say it? Like, you know, pr post podcasts, uh Commentators, uh, commentary. How you feeling? How you feeling now, loser? No, no. So what we have here is is we have uh big, what's his name? Big Monkey?
SPEAKER_01Well, that's my nickname for it. It's Courtney.
SPEAKER_03Big Monkey, I know, but Big Monkey is from Australia, and so he's probably upset right now and like real really sad. Is that right?
SPEAKER_04I don't want to let my feelings show. Okay. Yes, I'm sad. God damn it. What sort of performance was that? It was like we put our junior squad out there or something. There was no connecting passes, there was no one where we wanted them to be.
SPEAKER_01It was just You guys scored you scored a goal for us.
SPEAKER_03But but but did you see how they didn't give up? I mean, they were just they were not they were thinking, you know, like they were good. They were a good team.
SPEAKER_04Well, I mean, yeah. I I I feel like they played pretty aggressively, and I I uh They played really aggressively, that was good. They did, and it but it it it was a stark contrast to how they played their first game, which they played well, and it was so surprising how well they played, it made news headlines all across Australia, and everyone was talking about holy shit, we we totally wrote off the Australian team thinking that this was probably gonna be one of our worst results in World Cup history, and they've just gone out there and smashed Turkey and blown everyone away, and we always everyone started saying that this could be the team that takes us the furthest that we've ever been in the World Cup. Are they out? No, we're not out. Uh it looks like we're gonna come second in the group, so hopefully, if we beat uh Paraguay, then we we get through to the round of 32 or uh whatever the next round is that uh after that performance, yeah, questions will be asked.
SPEAKER_03But the but but the uh I was gonna say the gators are good. Like I'm from uh uh Gainesville where we have the Florida Gators, so I like to call all the all the anything to do with uh American or Florida teams gators. They're all gators. Right. So the Gators did good though, but like I think we had a really good team this year. But I guess we didn't even make one goal. We didn't even make it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I mean, you guys are the home nation, it's your World Cup, so you've got a you've got the home crowd advantage and the home court advantage, and I mean it would be it'd be sad to see USA not get through the next round and hopefully the next round after that. And I am sort of somewhat of an honorary American, you know, now that you're here and I'm married to one and all the rest of it. So I I would say that USA is my second team. Um but it sucks watching the game today because we got yeah, we got masses handed to us, and it wasn't very pleasant. And so I'm interested.
SPEAKER_01How far is USA gonna go, do you think? Do they have a team?
SPEAKER_04I mean uh obviously their team is is looking bloody good, and I think I think soccer in in or uh I'll call it football, because that's not the rest of the couple. Football in this country has risen at a rapid rate. I think any ever since um you know Reynolds bought um Miami or whatever it was, or whoever celebrities bought whatever teams it was, and then they bought um Mission and uh Subaru's came over and they had some great European players who've come over and and just gone any other player in the country. I I think club football or or state football has has risen to a super high level in this country. So I think the fact that America has a good team is is kind of no surprise. Um how far do I think they're gonna go? I mean, I think they could get up to be like quarterfinals.
SPEAKER_01Who's who do you predict? Predict right now.
SPEAKER_04Oh, I mean, Argentina obviously gonna be out there. Portugal is kinda disappointed, I think. There's been a lot of upsets. I mean the Congo in Portugal time was was kind of crazy. Um and then uh was it the Caracam Islands or something? Uh beat someone else with Drew with uh one of the other major teams. So it's kind of it's it seems to be one of those World Cups that there's just uh been a whole lot of um unpredictable upsets, which is why I put $100 on Australia today to beat US because I was hoping for another upset, uh, which didn't happen.
SPEAKER_03Uh you know, you want to hear about the bet I made with um Donkey over here? Just it's just a temporary name.
unknownOkay. What have you got?
SPEAKER_03I said, hey, let's watch this game today. And they're like, we're gonna go let's walk down to the grocery store and walk back and watch the game. So as we're walking back, you know, we're not back in time, and I'm getting a little frustrated. And he's like, Well, it's zero to zero. I'm sure it is. I'm like, well, let's bet on what it's.
SPEAKER_01It's gonna be zero to zero for most of the games.
SPEAKER_03He's like, thinks it's gonna be zero to zero to the whole game. And so I was like, let's bet, let's bet. And he didn't want to bet. He said, What is the the the score? And they said zero to zero. The game had just started. And then and then um finally we go about five more minutes, and I said, Bet me two dollars that when we get to the house, it's gonna be one to nothing USA. Two dollars, high stakes. Yeah. Okay. And then the the bet kind of went off the rails because I was calling it the double or nothing where he had to pay me double if I was right, and I didn't have to pay him nothing if I was wrong. He didn't like that means he didn't like that provision.
SPEAKER_01It's such a gator thing to get.
SPEAKER_03Guess what happened? He kept he calls in as we're walking up, he said, What's the score? And they said one nil. And I know they said nil because that's what you say in soccer. I mean football.
SPEAKER_04Uh is uh someone's foot all richer?
SPEAKER_01No, no, because he doesn't know how to bet things.
SPEAKER_03I just didn't know how to try to do a double or nothing. Were you pay me?
SPEAKER_01It's a two-dollar bet we pay you double and I pay you nothing. Hey, can I ask questions? Because I know you want a real sports update, right? That was that was the best fall we've ever had. That's pretty good. Okay, that was a good thing. I was saying, I was thinking you guys are like, you know, caching. So what is the story with the beverage break now? Is that a thing? Is that a real thing? Do football players go like that.
SPEAKER_04That ruins the fabric of the game because it's something that's only been introduced into the US. And let's be honest, let's face the facts here, it's for advertising.
SPEAKER_01Exactly.
SPEAKER_04That's what it is. No other country in the world advertises as much as America does or have as much advertising dollars. It's like the bloody, you know, whatever that game you guys play is American football. You throw balls across the field and that that sort of thing. But it's uh, you know, how much do people pay for ad slots during that? It's insane. So now it's like, oh, cool, we're gonna have this global sports event. Let's find another way to feed some advertising dollars into the pockets of the greedy. Ridiculous.
SPEAKER_03Well, I I really think people are getting overheated and they need to take a little water break, a little rest.
SPEAKER_04You're a shareholder in the advertising industry.
SPEAKER_01They just need a little rest. Gator was like, Gator was saying, you know, it's really hot. They need water. What are you talking about? I'm a gator.
SPEAKER_03And he's a hot uh a big monkey. And you being a donkey, it's now it's starting to make sense. Donkey's a lot of people.
SPEAKER_04So what I mean, uh are they gonna uh what the America's holding the Olympics coming up, right? Yeah. Hosting the Olympics. So what are we gonna introduce water breaks for every sport that's in the Olympics as well? Is that what's gonna happen?
SPEAKER_05America synchronized swimming.
SPEAKER_04I mean, it's never happened before. How do you how do you change a game like the oldest game on the planet, apparently? How do you change the rules? Because you want to put some more advertising in front of people, really.
SPEAKER_03Courtney, Courtney. Stupid Courtney.
SPEAKER_01We use nicknames.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I I thought I said Big Monkey is a good one. She's not here right now. Okay, Big Monkey. You ready? Can you? Oh, that's me.
SPEAKER_04Hi.
SPEAKER_03This Gator. Um Gator. We the we on this podcast, number one podcast for people, we we not only um talk like get a lot of uh listener feedback.
SPEAKER_04Oh, sorry, I'm gonna have to I'm gonna have to interrupt you there for an advertising break.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_04Just go have a drink of water and um come back to that thought in ten seconds. Yeah. America. So bounded by Gatorade.
SPEAKER_01There you go. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Okay, sorry.
SPEAKER_01He's pretty good. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So we um this is season eight of our podcast, and the the theme of this um season eight is no rules, just right.
SPEAKER_04Ah. See, who's that sponsored by?
SPEAKER_03Um they're paying us secretly.
SPEAKER_01Outback steakhouse? Gotcha.
SPEAKER_03But I just thought that was uh worth noting since you were from Australia and that's kind of an Australian themed theme. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04What's the more there's more outback steakhouses in America?
SPEAKER_01Steakhouse is outback, I guess. I thought you never mind.
SPEAKER_04I got it. It's like that's like saying that's like saying Foster's is Australian beer, it's not.
SPEAKER_03Oh, is is Outback an American design?
SPEAKER_04No, it's Australian, but my point is that Foster's is actually the company that owns a lot of my like a lot of the smaller beer, well, they're still big companies, but they own different labels. So the parent company is called Fosters, but we don't even have a beer in Australia that is called Fosters. Do you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_03Uh yeah, I mean I'd know now.
SPEAKER_04Um it's like as if as if um Hershey's had all their different chocolate bars in Australia or whatever, and then in America, and then we had a chocolate bar that was American. Well, I mean, oh look at this new bar, and it's just called Hershey. Is that does that make sense? Is that a good is that a good um example? Yeah, I think I understand, yeah. It's not called like cookies and cream or milk chocolate.
SPEAKER_03What's the beer you drank called? What's the Australian beer?
SPEAKER_04Uh we have like Carlton Draft, Twee's new um Victoria Bitter VB.
SPEAKER_05Bitter?
SPEAKER_04Victoria Bitter.
SPEAKER_00Bitter.
SPEAKER_04There you go. No, you're getting like interesting stuff going on.
SPEAKER_03Well, anyway, we that was our sports talk section, and uh we appreciate you giving us your uh expert opinions on that and uh being being friends with Donkey here.
SPEAKER_04I'm I'm only an expert at this time about with football every four years.
SPEAKER_03Okay. You're you're watching all the games.
SPEAKER_04I'll try and watch as many as I can, yeah. Yeah, because it's just you know one of those things. It's like the Olympics and it comes around every four years. I'm gonna go up to San Francisco is it next week? Next Thursday, where Australia will pay Play Paraguay in San Jose. So I'm gonna go up there and be there for that one, which will be great.
SPEAKER_02Oh, wow. That's good.
SPEAKER_04Road trip north. My buddy just called me and said, I've got tickets. He's secured tickets, he's like, Are you in? And I said, Only if Australia wins this game, and they didn't win, but I still should probably go.
SPEAKER_03You should definitely you should even more so go now. They need you. They need you.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, exactly. We need to win this next game, otherwise we we're probably out of the tournament.
SPEAKER_01So it's gonna be due or die for Australia. He's a rugby player. Uh Courtney.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah. His name is a big monkey.
SPEAKER_04That's right. Yeah, I did I did play soccer once though, um when I got a little bit a little bit old, a little bit past my rugby or Australian rules football career. Got past that, and I thought, you know what? I can give soccer a go since you know it's all my mates from the surf club and whatever playing, and I'll just go goalkeeper. And so I did play goalie the whole season, and then second half of our last game, we were drawing nil all, and we'd lost every single game of the season. But the boys were like, hey, would you guys have a run? Said, sure. Step out of the goal box and give it a go. And uh, yeah, in the first 30 seconds of the second half, I broke away from a rebound, and it was just me and the goalkeeper, and I was like, holy shit. I am not even a soft player, and I'm about to score the winning goal. The one game that our team wins this season, and as I lined that motherfucker up to put it in the back of the net, uh was gonna put holes in the back of the net. This one, I got a slide tackle, and a guy hit me inside of my knee, blew out my knee, blew my meniscus, my ACL, everything. And I went straight to hospital, had a bloody knee reconstruction. So that's it, that was my soccer career. Oh, I never even I've never even heard at all. Never even yeah, didn't even come into contact with it. Uh could have been a hero and instead had a knee reconstruction, so that's it. That's uh that's why I only think about soccer every four years. Brings back to me dark memories. Two triggering. Yeah, two triggering, exactly.
SPEAKER_03Because you s they show that stuff in slow motion too, those guys sliding in, telling other people. It's like oh jeez.
SPEAKER_04No, no, we were like division six of like a club team, so there was no cameras there. I mean our our referee was about fourteen years old. So it's the sort of level I was playing at.
unknownOh well.
SPEAKER_04It was uh pretty good, anyway. So don't take anything I say um as as uh sacrilege because um I really don't know much. So you chose the right person to say on your sports podcast is my point.
SPEAKER_03It's not really a sports podcast, like we don't really usually know much about sports.
SPEAKER_04I can tell.
SPEAKER_03And we don't and we're just using our phones here on the table. So a little bit it's good grassroots, you know.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, well, you go start somewhere.
SPEAKER_03Grassroots. But now now that you've been on Big Monkey, uh I feel like it's gonna blow up.
SPEAKER_04Oh shit.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Uh uh.
SPEAKER_03It could be a sports conversation. Exactly.
SPEAKER_04With special day.
SPEAKER_03What do you think? Well, I don't know.
SPEAKER_04What do you say? He's got an accent. I'll say what's what's what's going on for the rest of the day?
SPEAKER_03Um well, we gotta wrap up this podcast, basically, and then uh I'm gonna take a nap. I'm on vacation over here. I'm just it's like it's middle of the afternoon when I'm taking a nap a nap in the afternoon. Well no, but I'm on the case.
SPEAKER_01I mean, like normally, do you? No, never. I know people that are. Do you take a nap? Uh Sliceberg. Sliceberg, do you take a nap during the vacation?
SPEAKER_03He's pointing at your phone. He's pointing at your phone.
SPEAKER_01Do you do you take a nap during the the day? Ever?
SPEAKER_05No. So rarely. Like literally, almost never. I haven't. I'm not a time, but so rarely.
SPEAKER_03It sounds nice, but it's like that's not how your days usually go, that you can just take a nap. But I'm on vacation. I feel like I could just take a nap. No, who's gonna who cares? My wife ain't here. No rules. No rules, just right. Yeah. Just right. What about you, Courtney? What are you gonna do?
SPEAKER_04Well, I'm not gonna take a nap. Um, so strike that off the right, but that doesn't tell that doesn't say much.
SPEAKER_01He's probably gonna build here's what Courtney's gonna do, uh pretty much. Okay. Between now and dinner, he's probably gonna build an addition onto his house with a second story and an elevator. Probably between now and dinner. That's what he's gonna do.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I was gonna give myself one day off and then get back into some construction tomorrow. So it's gonna be hard.
SPEAKER_03Um you're gonna watch more football, is what you're gonna do.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna see who else is playing. That's what I'm gonna do. Let's see what games are up next. Group C in 15 minutes. Scotland, Morocco. Scotland, Morocco. Well, I do have uh Scottish blood somewhere in in me because we're all mucked down in Australia. So I should probably go for Scotland. Although I have been to Morocco and I do like it. So it's a tough one.
SPEAKER_03What are you doing, Richard? He's gotta make dinner, right? You gotta make pizza dinner for your family or no? Friday night pizza dinner?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I'm gonna make dinner and uh yeah. That's about it. Who do you want though? Uh well, actually, uh I'm not uh uh usually I make pizza every Friday night, but I and just to kind of break it up tonight, I'm gonna take the same dough, but I'm gonna make focaccio with it, and I'm gonna make like a like not like a super fancy sandwich, but it's like mortadella with like pistachio, pesto, and like uh ricotta, kind of like fancy dish sandwich kind of thing.
SPEAKER_06Dang, put chicken in there.
SPEAKER_04Little chicken pesto. Ooh, we're sandos, come on, pesto. I love pesto. Arugula?
SPEAKER_01I can see why your your podcast is number one because you do sports, you do cooking. Yes, exactly. We did history, we're international studies and things like that, with international.
SPEAKER_05That's the heart and soul of it, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Do you do you have time slice to open up and see if we got any mail?
SPEAKER_05Well, you know what? We got some physical mail.
SPEAKER_03Oh. Like a post or a letter. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Now, do we keep Mark?
SPEAKER_03It's up to Big May.
SPEAKER_01Marky, you want to stay with us or you want to go? What do you got to do?
SPEAKER_05I gotta go out to my car.
SPEAKER_03He's talking to the orange phone.
SPEAKER_01Do you gotta go or do you want to stay with us to hang out?
SPEAKER_04Me, no, I'm I'm I'm just listening to this gibberish.
SPEAKER_01Gibberish.
SPEAKER_04Oh, it's just listening to the gibberish, wondering how this podcast is still going.
SPEAKER_03Exactly. Exactly. You don't understand this podcast. Um this is this is what we do best. Number one, it's number one, Courtney. It's a good podcast. Okay, so go ahead with the mail over there, slide.
SPEAKER_05All right, we got a postcard. I'm gonna put a picture of it on the Instagram, but it says don't mess with Texas. That's what it says on the postcard. It has a little picture of Texas. All right, here we go. Uh Dear Post Office. This postcard is a test. If you deliver it to number one podcast for people, you pass. Any postcards have vanished into some sort of post office black hole. Handle this card with care. If it reaches its destination, maybe I'll bake you cookies. Sincerely, Eleanor.
SPEAKER_03Oh, we have yeah, so we got an actual postcard from Eleanor. Right lives in Dallas.
SPEAKER_05She was putting the postal service to the test.
SPEAKER_03So oh, so it's that so we Yeah, well, they send postcards all the time, and sometimes we don't get them. So this was a test.
SPEAKER_01Wait, how do you know you don't get them?
SPEAKER_03Because they say they'll say like number one of four, number two of four, number three of four, number four, and then we'll only get three or two of them. Or they'll tell us, we sent you this postcard, you never got it. And then we say, No, we this is a this is a weekly serial podcast.
SPEAKER_01Your fans are like so rab rabid, ra rabid?
SPEAKER_03I don't know if they have rabies.
SPEAKER_01Well, but I mean they're like so intense that while listening to your podcast, they're also testing the fabric of America.
SPEAKER_03I didn't even think of it like that.
SPEAKER_01That's really what's happening here.
SPEAKER_03I didn't think of it like that, but it seems so. What would you say to me?
SPEAKER_01Eleanor's testing it.
SPEAKER_05That is gold.
SPEAKER_03What do you think, Slice? Is that what's happening?
SPEAKER_05Oh, yeah, totally.
SPEAKER_03Well, uh thank you, Eleanor, for um sending that postcard. Testing the system. Yeah. We're testing the system.
SPEAKER_01It's working. Maybe that's the new shirt. Number one podcast, testing the system. Testing the fabric. I think it's fabric. It's the fabric of society.
SPEAKER_03Testing the fabric of uh society, mostly. All right, what else we got, Slice?
SPEAKER_05Um, well, I gotta open up the email program.
SPEAKER_00I love that you call it a program.
SPEAKER_05Like I'm a boomer.
SPEAKER_03I'm surprised that you recognize that. He always calls it the email program.
SPEAKER_05I think I was I always called it that to make fun of you for calling it that.
SPEAKER_03I think that's what I was remembering. Like, yeah, I called it that one time.
SPEAKER_05Right. All right, let's see. Okay, we got it looks like we got um we got, okay, there we go. Wayne.
SPEAKER_03Oh no.
SPEAKER_05Uh oh yes. You emailed, wait, it looks like you had a you emailed Wayne back. So Wayne wrote that email, that famous email roasting you about your cats, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And then among other things, and and my the like the flowers I liked in my yard.
SPEAKER_05Right. He said, Thank you, or no, you said to Wayne, thank you for your email. We really need to do a full nature episode. Are you still out at pageants? And he says, yes, nature season. And then Wayne writes it again, subject to Denver. Too bad you didn't go to Denver next weekend. You could have been with uh hashtag home team and the Red Rock house band because hashtag never want to miss a Sunday show.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Yeah, I was going on the wrong weekend, maybe.
SPEAKER_05All right, we got one more. It's fan mail. You know that you know that what that means, right?
SPEAKER_03Oklahoma bro.
SPEAKER_05Oklahoma bro, fan mail. He says, Sub fellas, have you ever watched a martial arts movie or a combat sport and instantly felt ready for someone to try you? Or is it just me? See you, fellas. Oklahoma bro. He's watching like like jog cod Van Dam in Chuck Norris movies, right? Like, fucking fight me.
SPEAKER_03And then he feels all pumped up.
SPEAKER_05Now I kind of wanted to try that. Maybe that sounds like fun.
SPEAKER_01But I would suggest, I would suggest Steven Segal.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, right, exactly. Steven Segal movies.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because that's the real that's a real kind of martial arts that you can use in reality. Steven Segal. A keto, he he's an a keto master. Of course he is. That's a different thing. That's not karate. But do you feel that way after you watch him? Do you feel I feel like if I mastered a keto, I I could I could survive in any situation.
SPEAKER_03But if you just watch the somebody doing a keto, you don't feel any different.
SPEAKER_01I think I could do it. I it's so it looks so simple, I feel like I could do it. You feel like you could do it.
SPEAKER_05Oh yeah. You absolutely could.
SPEAKER_03Oh, you can leave. It's if you need to leave, you can do that in this podcast. You can go like like she needs to talk to you. She needs to talk to you. Go talk to her. Oh, she needs her phone. Okay, so we gotta say goodbye. Bye. Bye to Big.
SPEAKER_01Goodbye to Courtney. Hey Courtney. Oh, that's is that me? Oh, whose phone am I using? I have a feeling, I don't know why. I have a feeling you're gonna get called back at some point in the future.
SPEAKER_03Thank you. Thank you for joining us. And we're we've got to get uh this is Steve's phone, Donkey's phone is recording from my phone, which is recording, and then and then Donkey's phone is called Sliceberg, and then Brianna's phone is you, Big Monkey. So see you later.
SPEAKER_04Great. I love it. Thanks for having me, guys. Appreciate it. If you want any other uh horrible uh news uh sports updates from someone who doesn't really know what the fuck's going on, call me.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Sounds like you know a lot. Ciao.
SPEAKER_04Seeways.
SPEAKER_03Love you, bro.
SPEAKER_05Okay. That's perfect for this podcast.
SPEAKER_01So good.
SPEAKER_03All right, so we're back.
SPEAKER_01So good.
SPEAKER_03Um so what else we got there? Uh you uh where were we with the mail?
SPEAKER_05Uh that's it. That's the mail.
SPEAKER_03That's it?
SPEAKER_01Three things?
SPEAKER_03Oh.
SPEAKER_01Um is that good or bad? Like how many? I mean, usually it's it's that's great.
SPEAKER_03Like ten. I mean, it's great. It's always great to give mail. Right.
SPEAKER_01Sometimes you get like this is my first podcast, so I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, you have nothing to judge it against or whatever.
SPEAKER_03So if we if like I think I'm not sure how it works. Sometimes I think if we have a really good couple podcasts and more people write in. So what do you think is gonna happen after this podcast? Oh, we're gonna, yeah. We're gonna it's gonna be big. Is it? Yeah, we're gonna get probably gonna go viral. This podcast.
SPEAKER_01I don't know.
SPEAKER_03But maybe not today.
SPEAKER_01I don't know what that means. I don't even know what hashtag means. When when when someone says hashtag, I don't even know what that means.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, well, we'll talk about it later. If we don't talk about it now, we'll talk about it later.
SPEAKER_01But what if somebody watching this put listening to this podcast doesn't know what it means, and we can educate them now? So then you get sports, international, you get cooking and recipes and technology. Technology. Which would be like explain what hashtag means.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_01I'm I'm just I'm just looking up.
SPEAKER_03What does that mean? It's gonna uh it's gonna connect to something. So hashtag something. Like, what do you what you what's an example?
SPEAKER_01Well, from what he read in his thing, he you the the guy typed in hashtag something in his in his.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, what did he type type in? And like what does that mean?
SPEAKER_05Who uh Wayne?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Wayne. It said uh never miss a show on a Sunday, right?
SPEAKER_05Never miss a Sunday show. It's like uh uh it's like a jam band um saying uh in like the fish community and other jam bands, they always say that.
SPEAKER_03Never miss a jam. Never miss a Sunday show.
SPEAKER_05So but so they'll play like Friday, Saturday, Sunday. It's like never miss a Sunday show.
SPEAKER_01So what is ha what is so what does hashtag have to do with any of that? Why do you why do you add hashtag never miss a Sunday show?
SPEAKER_05Because like on social media, like in order to like it's kind of like like SEO like in a way, like like optimization, like it makes it easy to find stuff related to like whatever happens to be in this case, like uh uh never miss a Sunday show or hashtag World Cup. That's a that's a bad example, but like you know hashtag uh I don't know, pizza. Like it could be anything.
SPEAKER_03But you know what? It is actually hard to explain. Right. Like I understand it, but I'm like, I I don't know how I don't know.
SPEAKER_05It's like when you search when you search that thing on Instagram, you'll see.
SPEAKER_03No, but that's not why Wayne puts it in an email.
SPEAKER_05That post about pizza or whatever, because they took the time to label it without hashtag.
SPEAKER_03Right, but that's different than putting it in an email. It's like it's like you're putting it in quotes or something.
SPEAKER_01Are you well, I guess what I'm asking is like, does will it make me sound cool if I do that? If I just say like hashtag. Probably not. If I say hashtag or write hashtag when it really doesn't apply, like if I just does it make me sound cool or something?
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_01No?
SPEAKER_03Uh-uh.
SPEAKER_01Probably not. No? Okay. If you have to ask, just so Wayne knows what it means. Obviously, so he can use it. Yeah. I gotcha.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. He definitely knows what it means. Since I don't know. He's using it in like an extreme circumstance where it's even like you gotta kind of even know a couple levels beyond just hashtag and Instagram. Yeah. It's a whole nother layer of how to use it.
SPEAKER_01Is that is that what meta means? Like when you're meta?
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_01What does that mean?
SPEAKER_05Sort of.
SPEAKER_01Sliceberg, what does meta mean?
SPEAKER_05Meta means when you like when you're like self-referential or what I don't know if that's accurate, but you know what I mean? Like it's like when they end the breaking the fourth wall.
SPEAKER_00Oh, like like Deadpool. Deadpool's meta.
SPEAKER_05I didn't see Deadpool.
SPEAKER_00What? Yeah, yeah. Deadpool's meta. Then I don't know.
SPEAKER_01You haven't seen that either you haven't seen that either?
SPEAKER_03There's a pla there was a movie and it was about a play. They went to a play where the play when they were in the audience, and the play was just an audience watching the people that was the audience. It was an audience watching, and it's kind of that's meta, right? It's just like it's like taking an audience and then making another audience watch this audience, that's when you hit meta stage. I don't know about device.
SPEAKER_01So when you're doing your podcast and you talk words and you say words, are you expecting that your audience is gonna understand anything that you're saying? Like what you just said? No, I didn't understand any of what you just said. But if you're mowing the grass and you just need a friend, an audience that's not an audience, like I didn't understand any of that.
SPEAKER_03Well, that's because that was just like a weird movie that I saw that was they called it Meta, which made me think of it. It was a movie where called Audience that a local guy made. And you go in as the audience to watch a play, and an audience comes out to watch the audience.
SPEAKER_01So it's an audience or is it a play?
SPEAKER_03It's a movie about play. Of a play.
SPEAKER_01It's a movie about a play. Okay.
SPEAKER_03All right. But I I don't I don't know what the people listening think.
SPEAKER_01Well, you you should you should know though, because you're the number one. You're not, you're you're number one.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You're number one podcast.
SPEAKER_03That's why they that's why.
SPEAKER_01What's your demographic of your audience? We don't know. We don't know. You don't know what your demographic is? Demographic is the Babcock family.
SPEAKER_03Oh, there is the Babcock family.
SPEAKER_01And what's that demographic? Like what age to what age?
SPEAKER_03Well, like in one year. Because advertisers are one year old.
SPEAKER_01Advertisers need to know. Yeah. So we don't have advertisers. Well, they all they all need to know. But they will later. So it's not it's one year old to what? Oh however old grummy is.
SPEAKER_03However old Grummy is. We don't know how old Grummy is.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03She's mutual.
SPEAKER_01She's mature. She's of a mature age.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, she's got grandkids and stuff.
SPEAKER_01Okay. All right. So yeah, your demographic's wide. That's why it's I mean you can attract all the advertisers.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. But that's one of the things that is makes our podcast special.
SPEAKER_01At Outback Steakhouse, for sure.
SPEAKER_03Is that we don't we only advertise for Hyundai. Hyundai? Outback. Is there any more Sliceberg that I'm missing? Yin yang.
SPEAKER_05What's yin yang? Yeah, we trademarked out.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01What's yin yang?
SPEAKER_03Yin yang. It's just kind of like it means it is what it is. Alright, listen, we gotta wrap this up. He's gotta make dinner. Really? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that this that what just happened just now are listening to. Is a podcast.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_05I'm still trying to wrap my head around it too.
SPEAKER_01Right? Like you will that will be forever, really. I mean, it will be forever. I know, yeah. I know, yeah. A thousand years from now. No, it's not. Someone will be able to listen to what this just crazy shit we just said off the top of our head. And some and and someone's gonna go, that's a thing. That actually is a thing.
SPEAKER_05Record it for all posterity.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but that's the problem with where we're at today. There's just stuff like this out there that shouldn't, you know. It's basically human slop. You know, it's human slop. It's not AI slop. But AI slop is probably better than this, you know.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, probably. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Slicework, thank you for doing this phone in podcast.
SPEAKER_05Uh yeah. Uh thanks for um making the time. It was fun.
SPEAKER_03How's things going at the restaurant? Everything going on?
SPEAKER_05Good, everything's great. Things are great. We're running. Everything's just running. It's like a well, well-oiled machine. Everything's running smoothly.
SPEAKER_03I haven't even called in or anything. I'm just like figure they'll call me if there's a problem.
SPEAKER_01All right. So wait, hang on, hang on. Since this is my first podcast.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01What happens now? Now you now you stop, you stop the recording, and then you edit stuff. Like what like tell like for for for your the audience. And I'm sure your audience grows like gets exponentially every single time. So there's new viewers now.
SPEAKER_03Listeners, but yeah.
SPEAKER_01New listeners now, right? I knew what you meant. And so and so explain to the new listeners what happens. What happens now? So we sat down. We sat down with zero plan. Right. Right? And we just said stuff. And then we were talking. And then what watch? He didn't even, he wasn't even recording. Oh, it's only been 46 minutes. I thought it was a lot longer. Oh, you had to check?
SPEAKER_05That's a short episode.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. This is short. Okay, so now we've been talking six minutes. Yeah. And then what happens?
SPEAKER_03Then I I we named the podcast like what should we name this podcast, this episode. What should we name it?
SPEAKER_05Um it could be like the phone the phone episode or something. Not that, but something re referencing the phone.
SPEAKER_03I kind of want to rest. I kind of want to reference the real Australian we talk to.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. You can call it um Oi, oi, oi. That's what they say. Big monkey or Vegemite?
SPEAKER_03Vegemite sandwich. What did you say, Slice?
SPEAKER_05I would I should ask him about Vegemite.
SPEAKER_01Oh, next time you talk to him, ask him about that. For sure.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, big big time.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So we need a name. So this this part of the podcast where we try to decide what we're going to call it episode. Nickname. We're going to call it nicknames. Can we call it Donkey Joins? Donkey and Big Monkey Join joined circus?
SPEAKER_01I don't well, I don't know if you're a podcast.
SPEAKER_03Anyway, um, so I then I donkey and big monkey circus. I give it a name such as Donkey and Big Monkey join the circus. And then my nickname can't be Donkey. It could be a placeholder.
SPEAKER_01Why do I think it's going to be a placeholder forever? Forever.
SPEAKER_03And I I save that to my Google Drive.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03Right? Then I go into Buzz Sprout, which is the hosting company. Okay. And their little app, and I say upload. And they say where? And I say, from right here, Big Donkey and Little Monkey. And I hit that button and it uploads. While it's uploading, I put in a title and a description of what's happening in the episode, which it'll be very uh good. Descriptive You'll need to use all your words. Then I have to say what uh what season and what episode number, and then I hit publish immediately and I hit save, and when it's done uploading, it's published to all the places.
SPEAKER_01Unedited.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, there's no editing.
SPEAKER_01This is but what if I said stupid shit?
SPEAKER_02It's a podcast.
SPEAKER_05It's gonna get recorded for posterity for all eternity.
SPEAKER_03That's called in perpetuity. I don't know about the perpetuity part because we have to pay them, and if we stop paying them, it'll go away. It doesn't mean it's gone, it just means they're not gonna post it online. Now I could save it into my phone or onto my Google Drive. I mean, there's other places it's saved, but everything goes away eventually. Does it? Yeah. This is just to entertain the people that are that are really have good senses of humor, and they like a couple charming guys from Florida every week, and just to keep their lives happy through the through the days and the weeks of their lives, you know. They get to hear, they get to live through our life, we get to live through theirs. I mean, we know a lot about the Babcocks. Had a the the the uh twins were really cute, man. They're really cute. Yeah. But I I I can't believe I didn't get a picture. But anyway, I'm sorry that uh oh, and the other thing I did, you know what, Sliceberg? I was like, I knew they were about a year old. And I knew that they were a little past a year old, but I figured they might be kind of smallish since they were born prematurely. And so I was I was texting Grummy about the size of the, I think I said it's 24 month, like for some reason I got my 24 month and my 12 month confused. And I I brought them 24 month uh onesies to the to the babies.
SPEAKER_05But they were they were too big, is what you're saying. Well, by a lot because Well, that's okay because they they're gonna grow, so you know.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. But I mean, it'd be one thing if I brought them like an 18 month, like I could have brought them a 12 month and it would have been perfect. Uh 18 month would have been big. 24 month was just like they'll grow into it.
SPEAKER_05It's fine.
SPEAKER_03I hope they grow into. But by the time they're yeah, anyway, it was uh I I brought the wrong size. So I I felt bad, I feel bad about that. But not that like really, really bad, but just kind of bad.
SPEAKER_05You know what would be fun? I think Eleanor will let it slide.
SPEAKER_01You know what would be fun is if if you asked them to put the babies in the 24-month-old onesie and take a photo and send that to you. That'd be fun. Yeah, there you go.
SPEAKER_03Put up put them in just oversized. Yeah. Yeah, and be like, oh yeah, thanks a lot, Satchel. Yeah. Gator.
SPEAKER_01Gator. That'd be gator. That'd be fun.
SPEAKER_03Um so yeah.
SPEAKER_01This is gonna be fun. I'm gonna So then that's it.
SPEAKER_03And then I just post it on Spotify, Apple, all the sp all the places. And we want people to leave a rating and review because it helps people find us. So on Apple, we have some good reviews on Apple iTunes. Um on Spotify, I think you can just give us five stars. Don't give us less than five stars. If you don't like us, just stop listening.
SPEAKER_05We deserve it. We earned it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I mean, did you see what we just did? I had three telephones here on the table.
SPEAKER_05Groundbreaking. Never been done before in this video.
SPEAKER_03I'm taking a lot of time out of my vacation.
SPEAKER_01Right, exactly. Before he takes his nap. This is now I'm gonna watch now for my first podcast ever. Honestly, this is the first podcast that I've been in or I've listened to. Okay. I've never listened to a podcast ever.
SPEAKER_03Are you gonna listen back to this one?
SPEAKER_01No. But it'll be fun to watch. I'm gonna sit back and watch you wrap this up.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01You and you and Sliceberg. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01I'm now a viewer.
SPEAKER_03All right. Um, so yeah, I guess um I guess that's it. Unless you've got anything else.
SPEAKER_05I don't know. I guess not. I think that was a good episode.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I think that we're really breaking ground. And I think that's a big time. Yeah, people love about it, you know.
SPEAKER_05So we're breaking new ground?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, just like bringing in like voices from afar, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_05Oh, I know what you mean.
SPEAKER_03I mean, you could tell that guy wasn't faking it. He was a real Aussie, you know.
SPEAKER_05He was an Aussie, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And then Donkey was great. I mean, Donkey was really trying to figure out how what hashtag meant stuff, so I feel like I feel like this is one for the ages. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_05Oh, yeah, I was thinking the same thing.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. All right, man. Well, um, I'm gonna be dropping some episodes um um hot off the ticket, and then I'll see you next week.
SPEAKER_05Alrighty, have fun.
SPEAKER_03Thanks for calling uh answering the phone. Bye. Bye, bye. Okay, let's see how we did there. 53 minutes. Saving, yeah, you think safe? It's good.
SPEAKER_01Like this is the is this still part of the podcast or not?
SPEAKER_03No, but so the podcast is over. But if you want to be a plus member, then we give you extra stuff.
SPEAKER_01Are you gonna edit the end here?
SPEAKER_02Are you gonna No, this is part of the podcast.
SPEAKER_03This is the plus this is for this is for the people that's I that that that get the plus membership, they get to hear this extra conversation.
SPEAKER_01If they don't, then they then it gets.
SPEAKER_03Well, they're supposed to stop earlier if they don't, if they're not signed up for the plus membership. There's no money involved. It's free, the plus membership. Basically, what I'm saying is if you were a regular person, you might have stopped already.
SPEAKER_01Because you heard the wrap-up.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. But then but if you're a real big fan, you might be like, I'm kind of a plus a subscriber. And then I get this stuff. I don't even have to pay for it. So it's like free extra stuff.
SPEAKER_01I didn't stop and I just kept going. And but to be clear, this is still part of the what you would hear on the podcast. It's not the podcast.
SPEAKER_03Can you say these words? It's like the outros. I'm gonna say a word you say it afterwards. Okay, hang on.
SPEAKER_01Just wait, just wait. Just wait. Okay, go.
SPEAKER_03Okay. I'm gonna it's not gonna be the same word. I'm gonna actually tell you what word I want you to say. Ready?
SPEAKER_01And then we're gonna it's gonna be a call and response. So hang on, you're gonna say a word, then I'm gonna say the same word.
SPEAKER_03You're gonna I'm gonna tell you what to say. I'm gonna tell you what to say, and we're gonna go through it a couple times. You're gonna see, you're gonna catch on.
SPEAKER_01I wait, are you sure I'm gonna catch on? What if I don't catch on? Can we edit this out?
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_01Damn it.
SPEAKER_03So this is you have to be good. Ready?
SPEAKER_01Go.
SPEAKER_03I say cutting, you say edge. Cutting. Edge. Cutting. Edge. I say cutting, you say edge, cutting, edge, cutting.
SPEAKER_02Edge.
