Gator meets Grummy, Eleanor, and the twins at a Denver pizza place. Then he comments on game 5 of the NBA finals.

SPEAKER_14

Yo arrived in Denver yesterday. Uh went out to eat with my sister and my daughter to an Italian restaurant near her apartment. That's my wife who's texting me. She's gone to see, she's she didn't come on this trip. She's uh gone to some springs with some f with some friends. And um I uh we it's uh by nine o'clock on uh Saturday morning and we're gonna meet up with uh we're gonna actually meet up with uh some of the Babcocks here in a couple hours at a pizza place. So I'll be recording some of that and that'll be our uh quick episode this week. Um I don't I still don't have any way to uh call Sliceberg and record uh on the phone. There might I mean there might be a way I can call him, you know, maybe there's a way I can call him on my daughter's phone and record put it on speaker and record our conversation. I should try that later. Maybe I'll try that on Thursday or Wednesday. Who knows what I'm gonna do? It's crazy out here in this in this uh elevation. We're so high up in the world. My face is my face is kind of drying out. My skin under my eyes is turned red and drying out. I don't know if that's from the from the like laundry detergent and and the sheets on this hotel bed or if it's from the elevation and the dryness. I don't know. But uh yeah, I mean it's exciting, you know, to be on vacation. Uh it's it's different time zone here. So I'm a little bit on a jet lag situation. I was falling asleep last night, man. Uh trying to watch TV with my daughter. She's really into this show Love Island. I don't know if any of our listeners are into Love Island. I imagine they're not, because I don't think we have a lot of 25-year-old listeners. I'm trying to keep up with Love Island with my daughter, so we were watching that. Last night I was basically just I fell asleep at one time. I'm just like, I'm so tired because it's it's uh we were, you know, we watched watching it late here, which is even later for me in my in my natural circadian rhythm. And uh so then this morning I woke up real early, but um I kept going back to sleep, but then I finally then the alarm went off, like the the hotel alarm went off at 5 59. I don't know who's setting an alarm. I mean, obviously the people before us set the alarm, but that's you know, whatever. That's just how it is. So I woke up at 6 and I was just like my wife again. Uh I was like, well, I'm I'm up now, and I and I wasn't really, you know, it's probably eight eight to my body, right? I never sleep that late. So anyway, I was up, but I was checking my phone and we were problems at work, you know. The the the oven wasn't light. And uh so they're like, the the big oven is not, there's no flank, you know. Okay. These texts are just coming in, right? Everybody's gotta get a hold of me right now. I don't know if it's all my wife. My screen's blank right now, black. I mean, I'm not uh I'm not gonna worry about turning that off because I want you to see what my life is like and how many texts I get and stuff like that. Probably gonna get three more before I'm even done with this short soliloquy. So um I so they said, oh, the uh main oven, you know, the big oven, the big top oven was down. So then I um I was like texting, see, see what I'm telling you? Then I'm texting with uh the repair guy, and then I'm texting back with the guys from work, and then I'm texting back to the repair guy, and he asked me a question, and we go back and forth. This is all six o'clock on my first day of vacation doing all this. Anyway, they did get the oven going. The repair guy did not have to go in on a Saturday. I don't even know that he would have. He would have, if I would have begged him, he would have gone in. He doesn't usually work on Saturday, but if our oven's down, he would have gone in, you know, because he's um a good guy like that, but see? See, I had a feeling. I I just had a feeling. I said, they're gonna keep texting me, whoever. I don't know. I'm not even gonna look right now. I'm just telling you, like my text is blowing up, man. Everybody wants to get a hold of me right now. It's probably um grummy. It's probably grummy text me. It's not grummy. Anyway, uh, so yeah. Anyway, nothing really that exciting to to uh to report yet. Uh we're gonna go. But you the next thing is uh, you know, uh we'll we'll be going, we'll be going to I'm gonna we're gonna meet. We're gonna meet. I'm gonna meet. See? See what I'm saying? I had a feeling that there was somebody was gonna be blowing up my tech. This is my life. Like, how am I supposed to how am I supposed to, you know, relax on vacation when everybody's blowing up my text? So I said, so the next thing is Babcock's in-person meeting. Um that's gonna happen soon at a pizza place, Bojo's pizza. And uh, I think I saw a comment on Instagram where Eleanor said, I don't think Gator's gonna like Bojo's pizza, which is not true. I like all kinds of pizza. It has to be pretty bad for me. I mean, there's only been a few pizza experiences I've had that I really didn't like the pizza. I can't imagine Bojo's is they got a lot of locations, so I feel like if they got a lot of locations, somebody likes their pizza, it's gonna be fine. So I'm looking forward to it. I mean, you know, I'm always going to places trying to find the best pizza, and I'm looking at reviews and looking at pictures, asking people what their favorite is and trying to find, looking at Reddit, trying to find the best pizza. And I go to a lot of places and I feel like this is not the this is not all that. It's not rate, it's a lot of times the pizza doesn't live up to the rec uh recommendation or the review. I feel like this is supposed to be a 4.7 or whatever, you know. And then sometimes I go to places got a lower review and it's great. So I'm not really worried about it, you know. Um I do tend to try to go to places that only have one uh one location. I kind of find sometimes that that's kind of fun when you go to a place that has one location. I don't know what's going on, people. I mean, I'm kinda glad at this point that I didn't turn off my text. Because this is some sort of this is some sort of tax marathon going on to me. I don't know. You think it's my wife? I'm a lady anyway. I don't care. I'm just glad to meet the bad guys. I mean, I do care. I do care about Peter. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

I was gonna drop you.

SPEAKER_13

Well, why don't you just keep going and look for parking? Take it right, take it right. Don't even think about it. Um Yeah, we don't know anything about Denver parking.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know either. That's another reason I don't want to be downtown Denver.

SPEAKER_11

Uh can you park on the street? That looks like that looks good. I'd do that.

SPEAKER_03

Why not? I doesn't say I can't park on the street because I did not supposed to do that. Is this back up? I don't know.

SPEAKER_11

Try it.

SPEAKER_03

Back up and be right next to I figure if I'm right next to that white. I've got to look for any signs.

SPEAKER_13

It does seem like too easy though, doesn't it?

SPEAKER_03

Am I kind of close to the case?

SPEAKER_11

You're perfect on the curve, Joanne.

unknown

I don't even know where we are.

SPEAKER_13

Is that what it says?

unknown

No parking.

SPEAKER_13

No parking anytime.

SPEAKER_06

Oh different.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah, we can't park here. This is probably catering.

SPEAKER_03

You got you guys go ahead. I'll I'll just try the place.

unknown

I don't think in an hour.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_11

All right.

SPEAKER_06

I know.

SPEAKER_10

I don't think it's Yeah, that parking did that parking seemed a little bit too easy.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah. Oh, there's a science of the parking lot.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, okay. Yeah. I was thinking she needed to look for a rod, but you're probably gonna let me get one, two, three, four.

SPEAKER_13

Two kids. Four and two five. Four and two kids.

SPEAKER_15

Wait, but L and Romyard.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah.

SPEAKER_15

Five and two kids.

SPEAKER_13

Six and two kids.

SPEAKER_15

Five and two kids.

SPEAKER_13

Okay. Right.

SPEAKER_08

Why is that so hard to figure out?

SPEAKER_10

It's uh five adults and two kids.

SPEAKER_08

Five adults and two kids. I'll be able to math on that.

SPEAKER_09

Well, it seems like some that might be called six in a way. I don't know. Or maybe it's called maybe it's called eight at that point. You did say the fit for mapping, but I don't know if it's a good one.

SPEAKER_13

No way.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god, uh, how you doing?

SPEAKER_13

Are you are you grummy? All right, grummy! Hey, how are you doing? I want to give you a hug. Great. This is my daughter Kata. I'm Gator. She can't stand it when I tell people that. She's always known me as pop.

SPEAKER_02

Where are we pop up? They're gonna be in the high chairs. Like in the middle? Yeah.

SPEAKER_13

So wow. What a cutie.

SPEAKER_15

And we have a nice little merch right by that window.

SPEAKER_05

I'm from Dallas. Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

You're visiting this weekend. Yes. Perfect. Alright, let's see. What do we got?

SPEAKER_03

Wheat ridge. Wheat rich?

SPEAKER_13

These are the um onesies. The Sasha Speeches onesies. They're gonna have to grow into them, but I figured I'd make make them too big instead of too small. Right?

SPEAKER_03

I've heard of Wheat Ridge. That's awesome.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, you want to wear it right now.

SPEAKER_03

I can put two things in front of an apartment. I went, I drove all of them. I hooked at a place in Arvada and Band-Ace. I can't prepare that rigging.

SPEAKER_13

These are the coffin cloths we call them. These are coughing cloths. These are babcock coughing cloths.

SPEAKER_03

That's funny. I drew that on my sheldons. It's artwork.

SPEAKER_09

I don't know. I call it artwork. It's a little weird. What's that?

SPEAKER_02

Sheldon and Emmy are confused.

SPEAKER_04

No, Sheldon says Emmy and you cough like toddlers.

SPEAKER_09

And then I got um a little a little change purse.

SPEAKER_03

That's that's that's right out of the store.

SPEAKER_09

He has a little store and a little hot pad.

SPEAKER_03

Cool. You know he has a little store in the bed. You guys are eventually gonna have to.

SPEAKER_13

And this is for you to put um on your desk on your desk.

SPEAKER_02

Nice. Thank you. Oh, that's cool. Oh, look at that.

unknown

Thanks.

SPEAKER_03

I was gonna say, I think those look like those are probably hanging up. Those are probably just put into your shop and we sell Florida souvenirs.

SPEAKER_09

Oh yeah? Yeah, we need to remember. And you get a discount.

SPEAKER_03

I get very cool.

SPEAKER_13

That's the kind of stuff we sell at our shop.

SPEAKER_05

I know I got we've got a couple minutes. How are we feeling? Good. Let's get some food in the oven.

SPEAKER_09

What do you want?

SPEAKER_15

Um, can I get like more like cheesy bread as an appetizer? And then we are gonna what are we all putting? A large pepperoni mountain pie pepperoni with just pepperoni and cup and char pepperoni. No turkey pepperoni.

SPEAKER_04

And then you wanna do the triple pepperoni with the farm and everything on it?

SPEAKER_15

Or do you want just like a brand pepperoni taste with the second one? Yes. And then um, yeah, just a mozzarella, everything.

SPEAKER_04

Can I have a gluten-free uh little litter?

SPEAKER_13

She's going in with us on the pepperons on the peppermint. No, very good.

SPEAKER_05

Let me see all these links for you guys.

SPEAKER_13

You guys got salads too, huh?

SPEAKER_05

You want to get a salad salad?

SPEAKER_13

Let's get salads. Let me just eat pizza.

SPEAKER_05

And like I said, guys, my name's Maddie. This is Connor Advice. Okay, guys, please.

SPEAKER_13

So I have I don't know if you guys have I've probably talked about it, but I don't know if you guys like remembered or even listened at the time, but I have like a tremor.

SPEAKER_07

Tremor.

SPEAKER_13

So it's just I tell people because I'm like, oh, I'll get a salad. And then I think it's just not, it's kind of embarrassing to eat a salad because I'm just like shaking so hard.

SPEAKER_03

We have we have my son family. Everybody has tremblers. Some of them have to have somebody like several people have had. I didn't get it. He hasn't had much. My daughter wants to college to where? Ithaca college?

SPEAKER_02

Ed has actually lived in uh Ithaca for she liked a couple years. Nice area up there. Oh, it's so pretty. It's real pretty.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, she she was um we were living in Commodore Springs, she graduated from high school, and she went in a whole bunch of different places, and that's places she got in and liked it, and that's where she went. So crazy. But um, and then my son went to Boulder. Which is which I think is the most beautiful college campus I've ever seen. I just love I thought it's so beautiful there. See you boulder.

SPEAKER_13

Her ex was in the military and they traveled a lot. I don't know if you told me that.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, totally. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I could figure out it was Navy when she listed all the states. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But I guess it was we did an exchange tour in Las Vegas, so that was Air Force, but but we were still in the Navy, but yeah.

SPEAKER_13

This one here is born in Gainesville, right in over the room.

SPEAKER_02

So now you're breaking the breaking now. I cover it's good.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah, but it's like it's good for you because being here is good for you. It's good for you to get away from it like you were living at home or something.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I mean, I've never really been a Gainesville fan. I'm never I just never really Florida's okay. There's been some places in Florida I like, but that's your hometown. Well, Gainesville's not really Jacksonville is really my hometown. That's where we both grew up. And I could have moved back to Jacksonville. But I just I don't know, it's not feeling it.

SPEAKER_13

I think you're kids live over here.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it is closer to my kids.

SPEAKER_13

It's so nice because how did you end up back here?

SPEAKER_05

You know, do you have the ships called? I have the call. Or this was the last one.

SPEAKER_13

You had that.

SPEAKER_04

Thank you. Well, then if we want to put that rack in the middle, I could put it separate.

SPEAKER_13

Sure.

SPEAKER_03

We just have to be careful we don't think it is there. Um I'm on it right here, anyway.

SPEAKER_09

There's two red hair.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, all for you? There you go. Sweet enjoy it.

unknown

Here we go.

SPEAKER_03

It looks like the mountain red because it's got that weird front.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's weird.

SPEAKER_04

You put the honey on the place.

SPEAKER_02

Honey is when you eat the truck.

SPEAKER_03

Honey right here. Oh, that's cool. Okay.

SPEAKER_13

Here, let me help you.

SPEAKER_03

I'll give you thing. I know you know how to do it. You can do it. I know you can serve me some pizza. Thank you.

SPEAKER_13

This is good, y'all. Oh, I didn't even get a picture. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_04

He puts some strawberries and marinara sauce and stuff like that. Right, Theo, you don't care.

SPEAKER_11

Very inquisitive, Theo. He's very inquisitive.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, he does love to study.

SPEAKER_11

He looks at you and he's like, and you're like, he's thinking about something's going on there, and you're thinking about some stuff.

SPEAKER_02

He likes to observe. This guy likes to experiment. Let's see if this bounces. I forgot you were recording.

SPEAKER_03

God, I would have said nothing.

SPEAKER_13

I've recorded. I turn it off for most of the time. I just I just turn it back on and put it up here. Because I just try and get a little snippets of conversation.

SPEAKER_11

See, the thing is, I gotta give something to the people, you know? All the all the all the Babcot family.

SPEAKER_03

For the people, it's for the people. Yes, about 10 five, you know, 10 people.

SPEAKER_14

I know. We get 20, we get 30 on the last one.

SPEAKER_03

30 people listen to your podcast. That's pretty good. 30 viewers.

SPEAKER_14

And you know what? There's four of them right here.

SPEAKER_03

He doesn't keep in that doesn't bother him at all than doing this 30 viewers. He can do it for 30 viewers, right? You do it because you just because it's funny. Yeah, I'll do it for 30 minutes.

SPEAKER_11

And I found my people. I found my people out here.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_11

I love it.

SPEAKER_03

We have friends in Denver. Well then they're not gonna spread out. Then he had to tell me the story, and I was like, I was uh it's unbeliev the story's unbelievable.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

It took the first time I listened, I was because my sister was like Your sister got you started, dude. She's like, this is the greatest podcast I've ever listened to. Okay, now something's wrong with this.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know, but she just go see this movie. It was Midsummer.

SPEAKER_01

It was what movie?

SPEAKER_02

Midsummer.

SPEAKER_05

She loves that movie.

SPEAKER_02

I love that movie.

SPEAKER_05

So I listened to the like watched a random episode and I was like, what the f is this? It's just you're two guys talking. But then I just kept going back.

SPEAKER_09

Well, it helps when you're in it. Like when they're talking about.

SPEAKER_10

What was he?

SPEAKER_15

You were just singing for like two minutes. Oh, in the beginning.

SPEAKER_10

In the beginning of the thing.

SPEAKER_15

I was like, I can't listen to this, but you're singing.

SPEAKER_10

I know, but that's supposed to be funny.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah, it's supposed to be funny. Well, I was gonna bring my recorder.

SPEAKER_03

You know, his daughter maybe you're gonna have to bring your recorder with me.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, do you play the recorder?

SPEAKER_04

I mean, I know how to, but

SPEAKER_02

Well you guys are going to get together again in August or something.

SPEAKER_10

Oh you uh yeah in August.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah, because that's where you live, right.

SPEAKER_03

Um what are you doing in Dallas?

SPEAKER_13

Going to Fort Fort Worth to see a band with Brian and Wade. We're gonna see the Weary Boys and Charlie Crockett. I was gonna go through that, and I saw you like that.

SPEAKER_10

But uh and so we're coming, we're flying into Dallas Fort Worth, so we're gonna meet for a meal with Ryan, and then we're gonna go to Fort Worth, which I guess is like right next to Dallas.

SPEAKER_03

You didn't used to travel as much when you were younger. You become a traveling.

SPEAKER_10

I didn't travel when I had kids, but what I did before I had kids that traveled a lot.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, it's just a kid. No, you travel with them. I remember you traveled a lot with a lot of people.

SPEAKER_13

Wow, so are their teeth all coming in? Yeah, yeah. I guess that hurts too.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah.

SPEAKER_10

Well, you know, you guys do those Teams calls, and the one thing I love is you always can hear them.

SPEAKER_09

And they're always in the Teams calling.

SPEAKER_02

Bah bah bah bah. Oh yeah. Back and forth.

SPEAKER_09

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_14

There's that map cough they talk about.

SPEAKER_03

That was so funny because when you started saying he obviously recognized what you were saying. Because he's not done that the whole time. He's not done that he's like. You could tell that he knew exactly what he covered. Like you were in labor already when you were you were there?

SPEAKER_14

That's the crazy thing.

SPEAKER_03

You did not know that you were in labor. I just thought you were having pain.

SPEAKER_04

I just thought I had like a stomach ache of a lifetime. Wow.

SPEAKER_03

My blood pressure was like, no that lap was what the labor felt like.

SPEAKER_04

My blood pressure was what like because I went to urgent care and they were like, your blood pressure is too high, you need to go to the ER. Yeah. That's when the okay.

SPEAKER_02

Was it a C section? Just the month before we had all gone to June. My husband kind of had requested that when he died, he'd be buried in the sea. But the maybe burial stuff is so impersonal. You just fill the ashes and then we'll be right back to in a year of 18 months and how we decided we were gonna do it ourselves up in the flask right on the beach where he had his office that was up there. So yeah, you are definitely looking back. It's like, okay, yeah, there was like when you just thought you want to meet swimming rolls.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Because I was like, why? I didn't think you would feel them moving around in there. But maybe you could take that's a question.

SPEAKER_10

Or you're just not paying that close attention.

SPEAKER_05

Well, in the way that it was happening, like in because it was happening like over here. Um I just thought it was like some weird like muscle spots.

SPEAKER_11

Interesting.

SPEAKER_04

But yeah, but real weight game didn't come until right about the time we went to Alaska.

SPEAKER_13

But then life must have just changed like crazy. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Really? It was like, well, new or doing now.

SPEAKER_09

Well, they got all that from Facebook. People tell me and stuff, but it just means like now you're like, I mean, when I had a kid, I knew that I I knew it was coming, and then I kind of and I and when it I prepared myself mentally, and then when it happened, I still wasn't prepared mentally.

SPEAKER_10

But to be like one day to the next.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_14

Well, it's not, I mean, it's to the next, really, but you probably don't even you gotta get home and then you probably don't remember for a while.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, which gave you time.

SPEAKER_04

Actually, we've been a little four too. I came home and then I went back. My C section exit opened up, so I had to go back to like another four days, five days, and then five.

SPEAKER_02

Well, it was quite a bit.

SPEAKER_09

It's we're just getting you're just probably now getting away from it a little bit, you know, like getting they're growing up and your time's going behind. I mean, are they that they get easier?

SPEAKER_13

No, it's gotten harder. It's gotten harder.

SPEAKER_03

I feel kind of liked to get school. It's really great when they're elementary school age.

SPEAKER_12

Everybody has a time.

SPEAKER_03

Because they're in elementary school, they don't have the commons yet.

SPEAKER_09

And uh now you have to continue to listen. So like, right? Like, I know this guy.

SPEAKER_13

I know these people now. It was kind of actually probably more intriguing when you don't have this guy as well.

SPEAKER_15

Taking all listeners out to dinner.

SPEAKER_11

Uh we can get you some.

SPEAKER_15

I need to get some somewhere.

SPEAKER_11

Bye-bye. Bye bye. Did you do microphone?

SPEAKER_00

Did that look pretty good.

SPEAKER_14

It's good at Baba and D D.

SPEAKER_05

Say bye bye.

SPEAKER_14

Can you talk into here? What you gotta say?

SPEAKER_02

Nothing.

SPEAKER_04

You just want to play with it.

SPEAKER_05

Nice to see you too.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not gonna forget mine.

SPEAKER_13

Alright, bye-bye. You got that bad call for him.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, Mini calls like a tiny for sure. Thanks, guys.

SPEAKER_13

I think it probably is kind of a like kitchen wedding.

SPEAKER_03

But kitchen wedding. That's okay. So we gotta cross this street and cross that street. I have to put my furnace in my leaves and my leaves very badly.

SPEAKER_10

What y'all think of me, owlwolf?

SPEAKER_03

That was cool. That was cool. You like to have just one out. And I gotta have some airman. Okay, let me see if I can if I got juice in my car so I can.

SPEAKER_14

Alright, so it's game five. This is sports talk, by the way. Game five. I'm over here at my sister's house and uh watching the game. And uh when I started, I didn't watch the whole game. We were doing stuff, but when I started watching the game, Spurs were up by at least 12, maybe more. I said, Well, you know what happens in the fourth quarter though, they always Knicks always come back and catch up and sometimes win. They were up by 30 points last week, last time. And the Knicks came back, so here we are. It's uh 84 to 85 uh right now. And it's about it's about to be tied up because they're shooting a free throw to Brunson is three no three minutes, yep, tied up, three minutes.

SPEAKER_12

Zero to zero, basically starting over the whole game, three minutes to play. 340.

SPEAKER_14

So anyway, the uh I was just telling my sister, like, you want if the Knicks are gonna win, you really want them to win in New York where everybody can freak out and and have a good time. Like right now they're in San Antonio. You want San Antonio to win for a couple reasons. One, so that the series goes on, but two, because they're in San Antonio. I mean, there's really no reason that you anybody would want the Knicks to win right now at this juncture. Because, you know, let's make them work for it another week. Let's m let's make them win in in New York. But see, the Knicks the Spurs are not hitting, man. This is what happens. They choke. It's like they choke at the end of the game. And then you got Brunson or Bunsenburner or whatever his name is. He goes down there, he'll make it.

SPEAKER_12

The Spurs, man, they just cannot make it. At the end of the game, they cannot make it.

SPEAKER_14

They shoot and miss, they shoot and miss, they shoot to miss. Now, I mean, the Knicks are up by three points now with two minutes left. 88 to 85. This is not a time for the Knicks to be winning while they're in San Antonio. Oh, you can't do that. What are you doing? I don't think they can do that.

SPEAKER_06

Look at it.

SPEAKER_12

45 seconds left. The Snicks are up by two. Uh Spurs go down there and miss. And uh oh man. We gotta make it, y'all. Oh, he m and did he make it? How could you not make that one?

SPEAKER_14

26 seconds. Nick's are up. If you are not watching this game, it's a good thing because it's not a good game. Spurs should be winning right now, but the Spurs are choking. How does it'm gonna do a layup? Gets right up there, right up there layup, what happens? It just didn't go in. It's just and that's what happens to them all the time nowadays, the end of the game. Dang, man.

SPEAKER_12

I don't think the Spurs are gonna be able to make it work because the Spurs choke at the end. They can't do it in the last 26 seconds.

SPEAKER_03

They gotta get three points.

SPEAKER_14

And now they just got a rebound. The Knicks did. So they still got the ball with the whole 20 seconds. This whole game, man, this whole game. The Knicks about 20 seconds from being uh national champions, whatever NBA champions and everything. And it and then and they and they missed a shot and then they got the rebound. What are the Spurs doing? And now they got a free throw. Oh my god, now they're up by four. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_12

I think the Spurs are gonna get the ball with uh 20 seconds to get four points. So I don't even know how you do that.

SPEAKER_14

How do you get four points? You don't. There's no way. The last two minutes of the game is just like 90% commercial. It's ridiculous. I'm so tired right now. Eleanor, very good. Very like very light. Eleanor thing like very lay back, very lay back. Very cool. Alright, so 16 seconds. How in the world? What's gonna happen? They can't foul them. Because if they foul them, then they'll be out by four. I mean, it's just none of this. Oh, yeah, something's going on. This is just looks like mayhem chaos out there. Somebody must have got fouled. Oh yeah, foul Brunson, which means he's gonna shoot two points. He's gonna make them. Then they're gonna be down by four, and it's gonna be five seconds left. Anyway, congratulations to the New York Knicks for winning the uh NBA championship.

SPEAKER_12

Oh my gosh. They're gonna foul and get two free throws or three points behind. It's just it's just just forget it, man. Just forget it. It's not even fun to watch at the end. It's not even fun to watch anymore.

SPEAKER_14

Uh so yeah, that that was the sports talk. It was uh it was not really what I was hoping for, but it was kind of what I expected. Pretty much. I really wanted obviously, like a lot of people, I just wanted to just go game seven games, but it didn't work out that way. The uh last night when we were out to eat, the uh USA Paraguay soccer match was playing on the screen. I saw some goals made while I was eating my cow zone. And um Yeah, it seems like uh USA's got a lot of potential on that soccer team. I mean, they scored four points, that's not easy to do. You know. Yeah, man. He's gonna be the star, huh? I wonder when the USA is playing again. Uh anyway, so I think that's probably enough of an episode. I I know I kind of would turn on the recorder during the conversation and then turn it off and then turn it back on randomly and turn it off. It was just it was kind of weird, I know. But it's hard with without slice work here. He's kind of the showrunner, you know. He's the one that knows what to say all the time. And when it's just me, I'm just I don't know what to do. Anyway. She's got a two-bedroom, but the second bedroom is a um office at this point, and we're not gonna, it's better to have our own place, you know what I'm saying? So we're staying at a hotel that's walk to, it's right across the street. I'm gonna walk out of this hotel. This seems like a hotel. Walk out of this apartment complex. And there's the sign right there. A hundred feet, Hampton in and sweet. Anyway cool, nice weather here, man. A lot different than Florida, that's for sure. Cool and breezy
