During an exchange program, Anna felt a connection with one of the students from another country. After the program ended, they realized it was just puppy love.

As you might guess, Puppy love is the kind of love many experiences for the first time during their youth, often during their teenage years.

Puppy love is the strong feelings of love or affection that young people, usually teenagers, have for someone. It’s often seen as innocent and not very serious.

Let’s listen to two example sentences with puppy love

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez began dating as teenagers, and their relationship was often called puppy love by the media. Though their feelings were strong, both later acknowledged that they were young and still learning about love. So according to this sentence, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s teenage relationship was labeled puppy love by the media, they didn’t see it as a serious relationship. 

He declared his undying love by sending his crush a mountain of heart-shaped stickers, only to start obsessing over someone else as soon as summer camp began. That’s puppy love in action! 

He showed his love by giving his crush lots of heart-shaped stickers but quickly forgot about them and fell for someone new at summer camp. This sentence emphasizes that puppy love could be short-term
