On weekends, we slow down. Through ideas from psychology, philosophy, and real human experience, we explore language as a way to better understand life, emotions, identity, and growth.
This podcast is created by Jale, an English teacher with 13 years of teaching experience and a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from Canada, who teaches with patience, clarity, and care, and believes learning works best when students feel seen, respected, and safe to think aloud.
The goal is simple but meaningful: to help you understand English deeply, use it confidently, and connect it to your real life. English here is not just a skill. It’s a gentle companion for clearer thinking, honest expression, and deeper human connection.

Examples:
1- Maya took a stand against her abusive boss, knowing it might cost her job — but she couldn’t live with the silence anymore.
2- Beatriz took a stand and gave a speech about language and identity after years of being silenced in class for her accent — and everyone listened.
Hello and welcome to Daily English, as it’s the weekend, we learn English through real stories. Today’s story comes from the United States, about a brave student who decided to take a stand for what she believed in — and changed her entire school in the process.
What Happened? In 2016, a 10-year-old student named Marley Dias noticed something about the books her school assigned — almost all the stories were about white boys and their dogs. She felt left out and frustrated. So, she decided to do something bold. Marley launched a campaign called #1000BlackGirlBooks. Her goal? To collect and donate 1,000 books that featured Black girls as the main characters. The campaign went viral. Within months, she gathered over 15,000 books and appeared on national TV. She even got a book deal of her own. Marley didn't just complain — she took a stand, and her voice made a real difference.
