Daily English Pod
Daily English Pod is a space for learning English beyond grammar and textbooks.
During the week, you’ll learn practical vocabulary, expressions, idioms, and real-life English, the language people actually use in everyday conversations, emotions, and work.
On weekends, we slow down. Through ideas from psychology, philosophy, and real human experience, we explore language as a way to better understand life, emotions, identity, and growth.
This podcast is created by Jale, an English teacher with 13 years of teaching experience and a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from Canada, who teaches with patience, clarity, and care, and believes learning works best when students feel seen, respected, and safe to think aloud.
The goal is simple but meaningful: to help you understand English deeply, use it confidently, and connect it to your real life. English here is not just a skill. It’s a gentle companion for clearer thinking, honest expression, and deeper human connection.

Relentless
To keep going no matter what. To be determined and never stop trying — even when things are hard or seem impossible.
Examples:
1- James Dyson was relentless — he created over 5,000 failed versions of his vacuum before one finally worked.
2- Her relentless belief in herself helped her finish the race, even after falling twice.
Hello and welcome to Daily English, where we learn English through real stories. You can find the full transcript in the description. Today’s story is about a man who was rejected over a thousand times — and still didn’t stop. What Happens? In the 1990s, a young man named James Dyson had an idea for a new kind of vacuum cleaner — one without a bag, using cyclone technology.
He built a prototype. Then another. And another. He made 5,126 failed prototypes. Most people would have quit after 20. Maybe 100.
But Dyson kept going. He pitched the product to company after company. No one wanted it.
They said it was too strange. Too expensive. Too risky. But he was relentless. Eventually, after more than 1,000 rejections, he found a company in Japan that agreed to sell it.
From there, it took off. Today, Dyson is a global brand — and James Dyson is a billionaire inventor. But it all started with relentless effort — failure after failure, and the courage to keep going.
Word of the Day: Relentless To be relentless means: To keep going no matter what. To be determined and never stop trying — even when things are hard or seem impossible.
Examples: James Dyson was relentless — he created over 5,000 failed versions of his vacuum before one finally worked.
Her relentless belief in herself helped her finish the race, even after falling twice.
If you’re relentless in learning English, progress is only a matter of time.
Question for You: Have you ever been relentless about something — even when others gave up? What kept you going?
