Daily English Pod
Daily English Pod is a space for learning English beyond grammar and textbooks.
During the week, you’ll learn practical vocabulary, expressions, idioms, and real-life English, the language people actually use in everyday conversations, emotions, and work.
On weekends, we slow down. Through ideas from psychology, philosophy, and real human experience, we explore language as a way to better understand life, emotions, identity, and growth.
This podcast is created by Jale, an English teacher with 13 years of teaching experience and a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from Canada, who teaches with patience, clarity, and care, and believes learning works best when students feel seen, respected, and safe to think aloud.
The goal is simple but meaningful: to help you understand English deeply, use it confidently, and connect it to your real life. English here is not just a skill. It’s a gentle companion for clearer thinking, honest expression, and deeper human connection.

describes something that must be done or dealt with quickly because there is a deadline or limited time.

2- I baked a cake for the party, but delivery is time-sensitive — it melts in warm weather!
Hello and welcome back to the podcast! Today’s word is"time-sensitive, one more time: time sensitive." Let me give you some clues so you can guess the meaning:
Imagine your boss emails you a task and writes, “Please handle this immediately. It’s time-sensitive.”
Or your friend asks you to go to the post office with her to send a package, saying, “It has to arrive tomorrow. It’s time-sensitive!” So, can you guess?
Time-sensitive describes something that must be done or dealt with quickly because there is a deadline or limited time.
Here are a few more examples:
- 🧠 “I had to cancel my plans because a time-sensitive report came in at work.”
- 📚 “My thesis submission is time-sensitive. If I miss the deadline, I’ll have to wait a whole semester.”
- 🍰 “I baked a cake for the party, but delivery is time-sensitive — it melts in warm weather!”
It's a great word to use at work, in school, or even in everyday tasks. It's formal enough for professional situations, but also totally fine for daily use.
