Welcome to the Jordan and Vanessa show.
Jordan:I'm Vanessa and I'm Jordan and today's episode is called one day or day one. This was actually inspired by a social media post I just saw from Dwayne the Rock Johnson. Who's like the man.
Vanessa:He's incredible. He's incredible. I really think he's an incredible human being. He's done so much and he actually is a really conscious dude. Yeah, he's got such an incredible energy. He's always so excited about everything that he's got going on and it seems like he's got a really great family life and he really puts a lot of stuff out there.
Jordan:Yeah, totally, he loves being a dad and he's a really high output person. And always has a big smile on his face. For the most part he seems like a really above the green line kind of guy. So, I wanted to basically just hash out this concept that he was talking about.
Vanessa:I was laying there last night at like midnight just trying to turn my brain off from the business stuff at the end of the day, and Jordan was pretty much half asleep next to me and all of a sudden this video from the Rock showed up and he was talking about this concept one day or day one and all of a sudden Jordan's eyes opened and he's like, oh my gosh. I love that concept, and so we just decided to come in here and hash things out.
Jordan:Yeah, and the big thing that I'm trying to capture here for myself is this idea of essentially the compound effect in our time-space reality. So a lot of times it can feel like we need to go like zero to 60 right away, otherwise we're not making progress, and the reality is the compound effect of seemingly inconsequential decisions made repeatedly over time in our time-space reality is actually quite powerful, right, and, like the Rock said, essentially you want to be in a situation where you just start the process. So a little bit about the video. He was basically talking about how a lot of people have things in their head that they think would be cool to one day experience, and another good friend of mine calls it living a someday life. So essentially, someday I'm going to do this thing, someday I'm going to change the body, someday I'm going to make the money, someday I'm going to make the career change. Someday you'll find me on a beach somewhere enjoying myself in retirement. One day it's going to be like this Right.
Jordan:And when you have that idea in your mind, it's kind of this projection out right and you can hash this out with me. But there's definitely an energy to pushing something out into the future but having no actualization game plan built into today.
Vanessa:Right, yeah, and I think that's because we don't want to put the pressure on our current selves, so we're putting the pressure on our future self.
Jordan:Yeah, future guys are definitely going to figure this out, for sure. Yeah, I'll be enjoying that my time.
Vanessa:Right yeah, in the meantime I'll be here, not having the compound effect work in my favor. One of my favorite quotes is from Gertha. We talk about it a lot, but it says the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too.
Vanessa:So, if you just put that ball into action, if you start rolling that ball in the direction of where you want to go, then the whole universe conspires to bring that thing, whatever it is, or that person or that place to you and it becomes your reality. But it's kind of like growing a baby, like for humans. That takes about nine months, closer to 10 months, about 40 weeks, and no part of that development would you want to take out. Like, say, day 93, like you're 93 days into a pregnancy. It's like you can't, you wouldn't want to change that or speed up that process.
Vanessa:It just is what it is. But just because you're not holding a physical, tangible baby doesn't mean that it's not growing inside of you.
Jordan:Yeah, that's a great example. I actually love that Because essentially on day 93, you're doing the day 93 stuff inside you, right.
Vanessa:That is necessary and beautiful and perfect. It's exactly what it's meant to be to bring you the actual, tangible manifestation.
Jordan:Yeah, totally.
Vanessa:The baby at the 40 weeks or however long it is.
Jordan:That makes perfect sense. In the video he was kind of bringing back the concept of that one day which we just described pretty well, back to basically just flip the words around. And what if today was day one of that actualization journey? So, rather than saying one day I'm going to experience X, y, z, what if you flip the words and said this is day one of my actualization journey toward that future version of myself I'm?
Jordan:getting chill bumps thinking about it because that really is how the universe works and if you look at the capacity to do anything in our time-space reality, there's essentially a compounding effect where the next level builds on the previous level. So, for example, this morning I did push-ups and pull-ups in our garage and there are a certain number of push-ups that I can do and a certain number of pull-ups that I can do.
Jordan:And it does seem that whenever I hit a wall, it's like that was your last one, that was the last pull-up you're going to do, or that was the last pushup that you're going to do, at least in that rep cadence. Obviously, you can usually drop down and do a few more if you give yourself a break, or you can pop back up and do a couple more if you give yourself a break. But essentially, my capacity for push-ups and pull-ups this morning was about what it was. But what's happening now, as we're sitting here, is my body's repairing itself. It's becoming stronger, it's becoming more capable of doing push-ups and pull-ups tomorrow, the next day, the day after that, because essentially, I've now made the request of it to do that, right, right.
Jordan:So I think one of the cool things about time-space reality and how the universe works is that's happening all day, every day.
Jordan:When you think about your vibration and that deep inner part of your consciousness, you're constantly basically compounding on the previous version of yourself, and it's happening all day, every day, all the time.
Jordan:The main thing that I want to capture the clarity on is that today's work is today's work. Work increasing the capacity within my physical self now is essentially going to be happening today based on what I'm doing right now, what I'm focused on right now. So if you tie that back to vibration, for example, how in harmony am I with that one day experience that I want to have? How in harmony am I with that someday experience that I want to have? And what I see a lot of people do is they have this one day idea or this someday life in their mind, but they're not doing anything today to get further into vibrational harmony with it. They just hope that by some magical event down the road at some point it's going to be a Thursday, 16 weeks and four days from right now some magical thing will happen and then maybe I'll be able to actualize that experience.
Jordan:One of the reasons why so many people play the lottery and things like that is because, they're looking for this one-off huge event that's just all of a sudden going to open the floodgates to all the things. But what if it really comes down to your daily practice of expanding your vibrational harmony with that future outcome that you're attempting to experience?
Jordan:and choosing to pull that back into your moment right now. This is day one of my actualization journey, and every day that you wake up just deciding, I'm going to increase my capacity to vibrate in harmony with this. Now I may not be experiencing that future thing right this minute, but now I feel like I'm doing the thing that's putting me on the journey into actualization, and now I'm actually calling it forth into my physical life experience.
Vanessa:And also intentionally deciding that it's going to be fun, Like saying I want this journey to be fun. Like this journey from where I am to where I choose to be, I decide that that's going to be a fun journey. I think a lot of people tie different things to pain, so they think that things are going to be painful, like say you're 50 pounds overweight.
Vanessa:Thinking about the actions that it's going to take to get from where you are to losing that 50 pounds, that can really feel debilitating and make you not want to take that first step in the direction of just going to the gym, of just lifting the weights for a little bit every day and a little bit longer the next day. So it's like if you can tie those things that you want on the journey to them, if you can tie that to fun instead of pain, then that's the game.
Jordan:Absolutely. Yeah, you totally nailed it and you just like instigated an idea in my mind of you can do just about anything for one day, right? So if you think about increasing your capacity to do some sort of physical exercise or increasing your capacity to vibrate in harmony with what you want, increasing your ability to do anything in the universe, you can basically do what you can do today, right, right. And so, for example, the pushups and pull ups that I did this morning were challenging, but I was capable of doing them and, in fact, I actually do think that whenever I'm doing them, I'm like I'm glad I can do a pull-up, I'm glad I can do a push-up.
Vanessa:I'm really grateful for this body. Yeah, I'm grateful for this body.
Jordan:I'm grateful for the ability to do what I need to do now. That's moving me toward where I want to be. So essentially rather than one day getting you know, rather than focusing on one day but not doing any of the work today, saying I'm going to do what I can today.
Vanessa:Right.
Jordan:Right now, I'm going to do what I can and I believe that it's going to, over time, increase my capacity to do more and more and more, because there's this awesome compound effect where tomorrow's activities are going to build on my progress today. And the day after that's going to build on both of those days and the day after that's going to build on both of those days, because you're training yourself, like your stamina and your endurance.
Vanessa:Every time you do those things, you get better and better at it. You're training your vibration to respond in a certain way and it gets easier and easier. So every day you live more of your life above the green line and that becomes the new norm. That is, your physically fit vibration, your physically fit body.
Jordan:Yeah, you totally nailed it.
Vanessa:So I think where people kind of fall short or fall off the wagon on the way to where they're trying to go is they have these expectations of themselves and the moment that the expectation isn't met the perceived expectation for their own life then they feel like they failed and they don't want to continue on the path to where they're going. But like life happens, things happen throughout your day and you can fall below the green line and you can feel like you're a failure in reaching your goals. But it's like the fact that you try in things that like that is the compound effect the more that you try, the more you're going in the direction of your dreams.
Jordan:Yeah.
Vanessa:The more that you allow the universe to get a beat on what it is that you're even desiring. Oh, you just nailed it and then things unfold for you in ways that you can't even imagine.
Jordan:Totally, and I just had this concept of vibrational anchoring come in, which is basically think about climbing up a mountain right and, based on that experience that you just talked about, a lot of times, what people do is they'll have a down day or they won't make progress one day or they won't do the workout, or they won't do the thing.
Vanessa:They'll have an expectation that they didn't meet.
Jordan:Right, and then all of a sudden now the entire 90 day thing that they're on, or 180 day thing, or this year, you know whatever it is like, all of a sudden it feels like you fall off the mountain and you go all the way back to the bottom.
Jordan:But the reality is, if you're doing this properly and you're making the advancement that you make every day, based on what you're consciously partaking in during the day, and if it's on a vibrational level, expanding your vibrational harmony with the outcome that you're looking to experience, then imagine going up a mountain and whenever you make it to a certain point, you're driving an anchor in the rock right there and you basically put it in and you just say I am here and I've made it to here, and the last 14 days, 28 days, 68 days, 142 days of me getting to this point is now anchored in and I'm choosing to believe that here I am and that's reality. You really do make it as far as you make it and you get to lock that in when it comes to vibration.
Jordan:You have the opportunity to just continue to practice the vibration that you've intentionally developed to that point and so say you have a day like that or you don't do whatever you think you were going to do to make progress. So you just don't feel progress that day. You don't fall all the way back to day one. That's the cool thing. Like you really do just lock in where you are and you get to try again the next day, try again the next day, and I think we all have these days where we're kind of down or out and we can kind of feel like we're going all the way back to the beginning.
Jordan:But that's not accurate. You've made a tremendous amount of progress at this point.
Vanessa:Definitely. I think a really great example is you last year, when you lost 30 pounds. You decided one day that you were going to make that day your day, one to your goal. And even though, like cause, you weighed yourself every day, even though some days when you weighed yourself you weighed more or you weighed like maybe a few pounds less, you didn't give up.
Jordan:You had the expectation that, if I continue to do, these things, I expect to lose weight, and you did do right now, today. That will get me just a little bit closer to that, and what has a tendency to happen is, if you can just make that decision, to start to capture some ideas about how you could actualize this into your reality and start to pull that into your current moment of what can I do right now, today, that will expand me into a version of myself that's more in harmony with that right.
Jordan:And it's really cool being in the physical universe, because there are real tangible things that you can do to improve your body, to improve your financial situation, to improve your relationships. And whenever I say improve, I'm especially speaking to the idea of living a more above the green line life, around those things where you're feeling better about yourself, maybe in hopefulness and positive expectation, but if you can take any sort of an action, even just a handful of pushups on your knees or eat some broccoli instead of a Pop-Tart you know you just make a couple little choices there.
Vanessa:Or if it's like if you're really excited about finding a partner in your life, even if it's just like getting into the zone like, just for a little bit every day, just long enough to imagine what it would feel like to have a conscious partner. Then that is the work that's getting you closer to where you want to be.
Jordan:Yeah, exactly, or the career.
Vanessa:If there's a job that you really want, that's the work. Just focusing on what that would feel like too.
Jordan:Yeah, absolutely. So what happens when you do that and you're adopting the doctrine of the closer I can get in vibrational proximity to what I want, the more likely it is to actualize in my even those little tiny actions like we just discussed, then you can actually give yourself the gift of hopefulness and positive expectation, because you might say, hey, I saw this crazy podcast where this guy was talking about one day or day one, and I decided to just do today what I could which is the small, seemingly inconsequential acts that I believe will get me closer to where I want to be.
Jordan:But I believe that if I can do that right now, today, just by constantly shifting my awareness and making a decision to do this one small, seemingly inconsequential thing, or maybe doing a vibrational process like we have at vibrationfitcom, yeah, doing a vibrational process.
Vanessa:Incorporating a framework or whatever it is.
Jordan:Yeah, literally anything, any sort of an exercise. So we're kind of bouncing around when it comes to like physicality and then like the vibration fit stuff, but essentially just whether you're doing a process to get more in a vibrational harmony with what you want or you're doing something in physicality, those are the same thing actually.
Vanessa:Right.
Jordan:So, like a great vibrational exercise, is eating what you know to be a healthy food right because and a lot of this really comes down to your belief system. So if you believe that broccoli is good for you and pop tarts, twinkies.
Vanessa:Twinkies are not right inherently.
Jordan:let's just say they all had the same nutritional value, but you believe that the broccoli is better for you than the Twinkie. Well, when you make the broccoli choice now, you're basically empowering yourself, saying I made a choice toward what I think is good for me, so I'm giving myself a win, I'm checking a box for myself right now by making that decision right. So, like a lot of times in physical reality and conscious creation, people tend to sort of separate the two.
Jordan:Like you're either in your mind or you're in the world, but I personally adopt the doctrine of when I'm in the world, I'm actually making a huge impact of what's going on in my mind, right. So, I can make these conscious decisions to take particular actions and vibrationally they move me right. So I can make these conscious decisions to take particular actions and vibrationally they move me forward because now I can live in hopefulness, positive expectation and maybe even a little bit higher on the emotional spectrum like joy, appreciation, love, empowerment.
Jordan:Empowerment is huge, right, Feeling empowered? Well, whenever you make those decisions and you make those small, seemingly inconsequential changes in your reality, you're empowering yourself and now you're elevating yourself. So I guess I would say to wrap this up take the opportunity to claim those small victories in your life. Rather than pushing something out as a one-day idea about yourself when it comes to your body, your money, your career, or maybe some retirement idea that you have sitting on a beach somewhere right, Try to pull some of that back into your day-to-day, Instead of saying one day, I will start saying this is day one of me actualizing that and do what you can today to get that win and it'll really help you get there above the green line. And once you're above the green line on the topic, consistently running activation cycles against that new idea about yourself, now you're really off to the races.
Vanessa:Definitely yeah, and believe in your own power. And, like I said at the beginning, that quote, like the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves to. It's not just you, it's also the entire going in the direction of. If you say that this is the thing that I want and I am worthy of it. I deserve it because it is a desire that I have and it will be mine.
Jordan:If.
Vanessa:I just the work is just choosing today as day one.
Jordan:Absolutely and choosing to act today in harmony with that idea that you have for that future self Right. If you can act in harmony today because we know we have this emotional guidance system going off in us all the time whenever we look to make a decision. If you really pay attention, there will be alarm bells in your solar plexus that say that's not getting you closer to that one-day experience you want to have, or there will be bells and whistles going off that say that is.
Vanessa:And in both scenarios we say thank you for the guidance. Yeah, thank you for the guidance.
Jordan:And I will choose.
Vanessa:Accordingly, Accordingly absolutely so.
