PLAY LIST
Remember when Wednesdays meant there was a fresh alt-weekly newspaper in the newspaper box on the corner?
In it you found faces you recognized — of your friends and maybe even yourself. Mirror Indy’s new arts and culture newsletter is an ode to that magic, which is why it will hit your mailbox every Wednesday at noon. You can read or listen to it!

What’s up PlayListers,
The weather has been fickle here lately, but I’m going to continue to be delusional about the chance of sustained warm spring weather. So, I’m putting together my spring Pinterest board. I want a wardrobe that is fresh and chic complete with funky hair clips, pastel-colored button-down shirts and draped modal-knit tops (hopefully sustainably made from small brands).
Whatever the weather decides to do, you sure have lots of arts and culture to explore in Indianapolis.
Hit up a few galleries on First Friday. Grab a ticket to the second annual Naptones Awards — what you might call Indy’s version of the Grammys — to celebrate Indiana-based musicians. Or spend a Saturday morning helping care for a low-tech and regenerative food-growing operation.
Use our March things to do list to discover something new and exciting to do in Indianapolis.
In this episode:
- Nine Black filmmakers shaping the Indy film scene
- Seamstress Siloina Mercado finds her perfect fit
- Leave a voicemail for a woman who's changed your life
- Tickets for FemmeFest at IF Theatre March 26-29
- Frank n Steam, the hot dog music machine
