SPEAKER_07We recorded it the weekend after the 4th of July weekend. That's Sunday. Oh, really? 4th of July weekend.
SPEAKER_01Yep. We had just come back from a 4th of July trip. That was very eventful. Oh, that's right.

SPEAKER_07And then you came back on our one year anniversary.

SPEAKER_05Uh Virginia Beach. Dance Nationals was in Virginia Beach this year.
SPEAKER_01Dance Dance Revolution.
SPEAKER_05Pretty much. Uh my oldest son, Samuel. He's a competitive dancer. And he's damned good at it.
SPEAKER_08He gets I'm getting better every day.
SPEAKER_07I say that like I've seen him dance. I I have no idea how dance.
SPEAKER_01I've never seen him dance. For all you know, he could be really bad. Right.
SPEAKER_07I just assume that they don't send you to these things.
SPEAKER_01And he's just a really supportive dad.

SPEAKER_05So um yeah. And then uh my other kid plays soccer and USA Cup starts this week.
SPEAKER_07Ooh, I'll bet you that's gonna be very little driving, right?
SPEAKER_05It's just Blaine at the big complex there. That's it. But that place gets fucking insanely packed. Insanely packed. Yeah, that I know. So traffic always blows over there.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah. But I actually think I've been to that. I've been to exactly where you're going with your son, because Josh's brother used to do soccer. Well, and I believe you have to fucking insane.
SPEAKER_07I believe you have cousins that have played over there before.
SPEAKER_01Uh yeah, but I was too young to remember that. Oh, okay. Josh's little brother is only a few like he's like four years younger than us, so like I'm remembering going to see those ones.
SPEAKER_05Okay. That starts on Tuesday, maybe or something. Well, for us it starts on Tuesday. Opening ceremonies and his first game is Tuesday. Then they they play pretty much all week.

SPEAKER_07Yeah, the driveway looked superb. Yeah, I had four truckloads of crushed concrete delivered, and my nephew came out and smeared it all around. That worked out great. I didn't have to fucking do any of it. Spread it like peanut butter. Yeah. Yeah. Then he had this little hookup thing behind his fucking tractor, and he brought that shit over and he dragged all behind the it's like this steel box that he made, and he made the fucker himself. Drags it behind and it just smooths everything out.

SPEAKER_07Yeah, then uh I my uh my cousin. I was gonna say nephew again, but he's like the same age. He's like the same age as my cousin.

SPEAKER_07Uh he calls right as my nephew is leaving, and he's like, hey, you got that bobcat? I'm thinking I can get over there and chop down those fucking trees you want to chop down. We'll haul all that shit out of here. And I'm like, fucking come on over.
SPEAKER_01He's like, I love my family. My family's awesome.
SPEAKER_04That's hilarious. Yeah, so we got just a shit ton of stuff.
SPEAKER_05Fucking timing on all that, you know?
SPEAKER_07Yeah, and then I took uh got all that concrete busted up and pulled out of there.
SPEAKER_05Where'd you put the concrete?
SPEAKER_07Uh I have a pile of it sitting out over uh right on the other side of the bushes of it. You can't really see it, but can't be burying that. I can't do like that fucker that lived here before me. He just buried it all. Fucking prick.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_07It shits all over sticking out of the yard.
SPEAKER_01That's why we're having to do so much shit to the yard. Because this fucking asshole.

SPEAKER_01We pulled a whole entire He pulled a whole engine out of like an intact. He buried a fucking engine?

SPEAKER_01Like right out in that front, like right before where the waterfall is. Really? Yeah.
SPEAKER_07What he had done was dug a hole. What had happened was. What had happened was he had dug this big fucking hole and literally threw all of his shit that he couldn't burn into it. I mean, not everything that he couldn't burn, because he did throw all these mattresses and shit in there. Okay, so how how I first started running into shit. I go to dig into the sand, right? I notice this bolt sticking out of the fucking ground. Right? So I dig around on it a little bit, and it gets a little bit bigger, and it's a obviously I can now see it's a chunk of metal, and here it turns out it's a valve cover. The top of a valve cover. And I'm like, holy fuck, this is a this is a this asshole buried car parts in his fucking yard, you know?
SPEAKER_01You're coming to the realization of like, wow, this guy sucked.
SPEAKER_07Right, and I'm thinking, how funny would it be if it's like a whole fucking motor? It was a whole fucking motor.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he just kept digging and it kept getting bigger and bigger.
SPEAKER_07Yep. So then we start digging around in this, right? Now we we get that thing out of there and haul it out. Well then there's like I said, now as we're digging this pond, I'm I'm hitting it with the the bucket and it's not digging in, and it's because of all these fucking bedsprings. So now I realize there's a lot of shit buried in here. We pulled out the transmission. We pulled out the rear end. We pulled out all kinds of fucking carburetor parts and all kinds of shit. Everything that he apparently had that he couldn't, like I said, light on fire, he dumped in this. Sheets of of concrete. Four by eight big fucking solid slab chunks of concrete he just dumped into here. I don't know what the f if he must have had a bobcat and dug all this big fucking hole and pushed all this shit in it. Yeah. Wow.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_07And I found it. Right where I was gonna put my fucking pond.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_07We we were making our driveway uh a circle. Because it originally just came in and parked right alongside the house. Yeah. We we we were making the circle, and and as we went through the his yard, this was his yard, we ran into four burn pits. He had burn pits scattered all over the fucking yard.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Jesus. Just and it was just garbage. Just shit cans, you know, busted glass.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So now, especially screws and nails and shit. In the driveway area now, especially when it because it's all sand, whenever it rains, it just all of this stuff just resurfaces of glass, nails, all kinds of shit. That's why it was so important my parents did what they did to the driveway.
SPEAKER_05Holy shit. Yeah. So as I was originally cutting the What a dick. I know.
SPEAKER_07That's an ass.
SPEAKER_01And us kids like exploring in the woods, we found all kinds of shit in the woods, too, that he had.
SPEAKER_07Oh fuck out back, dude. It looks like he had a whole tin building that he just kind of pushed over. Yeah, that he just pushed up and stuck it into the back.
SPEAKER_01Uh there's so many.
SPEAKER_07I still haven't dragged any of that shit up here.
SPEAKER_01Half of cars and trucks and stuff like that that we saw. Just wild.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. He was an idiot.

SPEAKER_05Well, I'm not gonna go run that into town and dump it. No. Might as well just bury it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07But I uh my neighbor knew the guy, right? Because they fucker lived here forever. Yeah. Uh he he said that when you walked in here, it it looked like like somebody's un unkept garage inside everywhere inside the house. Like in the kitchen on the countertops and everything, there was like carburetor parts and stuff that he was oh yeah. Everywhere. I don't know. Something wasn't right.

SPEAKER_07No. Some some guy, uh, you know, an investor, bought the house to flip it. Oh, I gotcha. And he half-assed it.
SPEAKER_01Oh, he is a whole nother fucking man. Yeah. When my parents busted out that wall and put it, like was putting on the addition that we have. We had some concrete steps out of this like side door, and they decided to, you know, take those out. And underneath those concrete steps was another set of smaller concrete steps.
SPEAKER_05That they had married there.
SPEAKER_03It just built on top of that. We laughed so much.
SPEAKER_01So then they busted that out and we saw another the other set of steps.
SPEAKER_07Oh, yeah, that was that was a good time.
SPEAKER_04Here in the living room. No, I just took those off. No. Did you just bring a new set of steps? Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, when we ripped the carpet out of here when my parents bought this, after they moved out and we moved in, we ripped the carpet out. We put this you know fake floor in. The the carpet or the the the floor was like lumpy.

SPEAKER_07And we never knew why, right? Well once we ripped up the carpet, they had leveled the floor, because apparently this fucking knitwit had had used like super, super thick cardboard for flooring. It was just really bad flooring, you know. And it warped apparently over time. And rather than like redoing the subfloor, these fucking hackers took sheetrock mud. No. And smeared it all over the floor. Trying to level it out and did a shit job at it. Now, my parents had no fucking idea. It was brand new carpet. Right. You know, when you when you first when they first bought the house.
SPEAKER_05Oh, what a bunch of dicks there, too.
SPEAKER_07Yep. So then downstairs, same action. The jackass that the jackass that built the place, he just threw bags of concrete all over the fucking ground and then flooded the basement, stirred it up with a shovel and smoothed it all out with the backside of his shovel. You can see the shovel marks smeared. You can now, you couldn't when we first moved in. Because when you first moved in, the floor was smooth and all painted and had that speckled color stuff all over it. Okay. Right. But after a little bit of time, uh, and it wasn't really all that smooth, but you know, whatever. But as as time went on and the paint began to wear just a tad from people walking on it, the sheetrock mud again.

SPEAKER_07So, anyways, I've had to repair a lot of shit in this house over the years.

SPEAKER_05Yeah. I haven't been on Facebook for quite a few months.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. That explains. I don't go on it a ton, but I don't know. This was just really What had happened was this was really a a way bigger fucking deal than it needed to be all together, you know. But after it was all said and done, uh it did make me think a lot. So yeah. Some it started out, it was my fault. Um I was And I'll own that.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_07I will I will I will own that. Yeah, and I I said that to the dude, but so what had happened was uh we were coming down in Andover, three lanes, coming up to a stoplight. There's one dude in the middle, and I'm in the lane behind him. I want to go either to the left or to the right so I can get around him, but there's a car directly to my left, and he is accelerating, obviously, like you're not getting in front of me, kind of a thing, right? Now the guy that's on my right, I did not see because he was in my My blind spot that whole time, like hovering right there. And then as I go to get over, he's again already, you know, right there. I would hit him. He he like steps on the gas to like get past me. Well, I'm already coming into his lane. So when I did that, you know, he had to jam on his brakes, or I would have fucking smashed right into him. And that was my fault. I didn't see him. I was in a hurry. I was trying to get around this fucking car that was stopped at the light. This was my fault. If I'd have hit him, I'd have told everybody that right to the cops. Yeah. Well, this guy is losing his fucking mind.
SPEAKER_01This was his 13th reason. This was his breaking point. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07This guy is just losing his fucking mind behind me. You know, and I all I could do is I put my hand up, you know, in the air. It's like, fuck, sorry, dude. Sorry, you know, and I just kept on going, right? He comes flying up past me. And uh, you know, he's ranting and raving and screaming as he's coming past me. And again, I I put my hand up and I gave him the, you know, I shook my head and I said, sorry, man, sorry, you know. He comes flying up in front of me in others' cars in front of that, and the light turns red. So those cars stop. He pulls up behind them and stops, and immediately his door is open. His door opens. I'm like, okay, we're gonna do this. So I click the radio off and rolled on my window. Now, as he comes closer to the car, I can see in his hand he's got something around his knuckles. So, and I've I've got this, you know, little belt knife. It's a fixed blade, it's about two and a half inches long. It's got super deep finger grooves in it. And when he came walking up, as soon as he stepped out like that, I pulled the knife out of its sheath and I just sat it there in my lap. Well, he comes up screaming and fucking yelling. This man is pissed.
SPEAKER_01Unhinged almost.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. And uh as he steps out of his car, I immediately yell out to him, hey dude, I'm sorry. That was my fucking fault. I didn't see you there. You know, that was on me. You know, I apologize, man. And he's you fucking idiot! And I'm I'm expecting this, right? Because I mean, I was a fucking idiot. If that would have happened to me, I'd have sat thought the same thing. I wouldn't have got out of my fucking car over this.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_07But I would have fucking yelled at him when I had an opportunity had I passed him or whatever.

SPEAKER_07So, uh, which by the way, now I probably won't do either. I'll just look at him like you're fucking retard and keep on going.

SPEAKER_07So this guy is ranting and raving at me, and he's he's his fists are obviously balled up. And he's he's bitching about, you know, this is my wife's fucking car, and she got it from her father, he just fucking died, blah, blah, blah. And he's ranting and raving about this. And I'm like, dude, I said I am sorry. You know, it was my fault.

SPEAKER_07I I did not see you, and I pulled into your lane. I I repeatedly told him that was on me. It was my fault, and I apologized. And he just kept bringing up his his my dead father-in-law, blah, blah, blah, right? Sure.
SPEAKER_01I don't mean to laugh, but that man was clearly going through some shit. And this was his breaking point. Obviously. Yes, obviously. That's just crazy to me.
SPEAKER_07And he's he keeps balling up his bringing his fist up, like pumping his fist as he's yelling. And I can he's got brass knuckles on. They're big brass knuckles. Yeah. And he says, you know, and I brought this to fucking deal with you, or whatever is he's yelling at me. And as soon as he he said that and like leaned into the car like that, that knife was just in my fist like this, and I pulled the fucker up right up to my my chest, yeah, and it was right at my face. SPEAKER_07And now every year on the 4th of July, he buys just a fuck ton of uh fireworks. And they're the South Dakota kind, so they're the really fucking cool. Big ones. Yeah. And when he first started doing it, like I don't know how many years, like 15 years ago or some shit.

SPEAKER_07Uh his neighbor crossed the pond the other side of they live in like the like the point of the lake. On the other side of this point, there's another cabin. And the two of them would take turns launching these huge fucking fireworks. And basically do a little competition. Well then as soon as that happened, uh, then other ones on that point all started doing it. Well, then now people from, you know, other parts of the lake, they get on their fucking pontoons and they come floating on down to the lake just to watch this.

SPEAKER_07And we all sit there out on the back lawn and watch them launch. Everybody should just fucking launch in these. Yeah. And and like I said, Steve and Shelley's is is really fucking cool. Guy across the way, he keeps pretty equivalent, and then farther down, some of them got pretty good, but other ones are fairly something I would pull off. Right. Right. So I'm turned a little sideways. Everybody else is bellying up, and then you know, they start to get a little bit closer, and next thing you know, everybody's moving all their shit right on top of everybody. And I don't know what in the fuck Josh is doing, but I just crack open a fresh fucking soda, take one sip out of it, put it in my little cup holder here on the edge of my little cup or my little Yeah, you're sitting you guys are sitting in the chair. Put it in my chair, turn and look up at the fucking, you know, where the fireworks is going, and all of a sudden, Josh is like mushing his chair directly into mine. Now I'm not paying attention to him yet at this point, right? And his chair, he's mushing his fucking chair up into mine, and I'm like, what the fuck, right? And then all of a sudden he's like right, fuck his face is like right at my fucking shoulder, and he's pushing on my chair. And I now he's got my full attention, right? So I'm turning and and he's moving so fast that he's no longer just like pushing on my chair. Now he's all of a sudden like straight legging it out right over the top, pushing me straight over on my fucking side. So I go to like put my arm out as I'm my chair is tipping sideways as I'm and going down the fucking hill, right? So I'm heading up to pull my arm up to defend myself from the ground that's rapidly approaching my face. He wraps his fucking arms around my arms, around my body, and I locks my arms in place, and then drives me straight into the fucking dirt. I land right on my brand new soda, all down my leg and all over my fucking ass is just sopping ass wet from this soda can. He's screaming, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, trying to get off me. And I'm laying there neck in the grass, you know, trying to get up out of this puddle of fucking soda. My collarbone is busted. I stand up, I take three steps to the right, and I just turn and look at the sky and wait for the fireworks.

The fireworks are going off so it's loud. I didn't hear it. I had no idea this happened. So I asked what happened. I asked Josh about this. I was like, so what happened? So the grass was slippery, and he was trying to like adjust a little bit in his chair because he wanted to reach out and tell you something. And when he put his foot out, his foot slipped on the slippery grass and he started to fall, and he tried to catch himself, and that's when you turned and looked at him. And then uh he said that his thought process about the whole thing.

But so my parents and Kane and Megan drove in one vehicle and we were in Josh's truck and that car ride home. He was so embarrassed, and he's like, I feel so bad. I feel really bad. I didn't mean to do that.

SPEAKER_01So those are the two that I found while I was working.
SPEAKER_07Oh, yeah. Well, those were much funnier than Matt's fucking story.
