Hannah Castillo: Welcome to the Love Your Calm Podcast. Mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast-paced world.
Hello and welcome.
This week's meditation is short and can be used as a quick break anytime you need it. Taking even a few minutes to slow down and breathe more intentionally can make a difference not only in your day, but in your overall well-being.
Let's get started.
Begin by finding a position that feels good for you today. You can be seated or lying down, whatever feels good for you. If you would like, you can close your eyes, but if that isn't available to you, you can soften your gaze.
Give yourself permission to begin to come fully into this moment. To arrive here, to be present here in your body. Right now. Everything on the outside begins to soften and blur as you arrive fully here, focusing only on the sound of my voice, the feeling of your body.
Take note of the weight of your body on the surface beneath you, noticing all of the points of contact, all of the ways you are supported. Your breath begins to steady as your body begins to relax, safely held by the surface beneath you.
If it feels comfortable for you, you may choose to repeat to yourself
I am here in my body.
I am here.
Take a couple of rounds of breath here, giving yourself permission to simply be present in this space. There's nothing else you need to tend to, at least for this moment.
At this moment you're here in your body, there's no need to change or fix anything. You only need to arrive here. To give yourself the opportunity to rest here.
Take one final round of breath, using this breath to connect with yourself.
And when you are ready, begin to bring yourself back to the space around you. Take any movements you may need and when it feels comfortable for you, in your own time, slowly open your eyes.
