To the Love Your Calm podcast. Mini meditations to help you slow down and find your balance in this fast-paced world.

Hello and welcome.

This week's meditation is focused on protecting your peace. It's a listener request and probably something that resonates with a lot of us. In a world full of noise, it can sometimes be so challenging to prioritize your own well-being. So this week's practice invites you to set aside a few minutes to slow down, reconnect with yourself and honor whatever you need today.

Let's get started.

Begin by taking a moment moment to find a position that feels good. You can be seated or lying down, whatever feels comfortable for you, whatever your body needs today.

If it feels safe for you, consider closing your eyes or maybe just soften your gaze. Give yourself permission to begin to settle into this practice, finding stability in the natural flow of your breath, the steady rhythm of your heart, the points of connection with the surface beneath you, supporting your body, grounding you in this space, in this moment.

With each inhale, welcome in a sense of calm and with each exhale, let go of any distractions or worries that may be occupying your mind.

When you are ready, I invite you to begin to reflect on what peace feels like for you. Consider the moments in your life that bring you contentment, maybe even serenity, the feeling of peace that these moments bring. Take this opportunity to acknowledge how important it is to protect this inner peace, to guard it from external chaos or even negativity.

To hold this peace gently, knowing that it exists in the stillness inside of you. A place protected from the noise and chaos that may be going on all around you. I invite you to connect with this feeling of peace and to begin to consider the ways that you can nourish it, protect it.

Maybe think about the boundaries you can set to help safeguard this peace. This might mean stepping away from stressful situations or even taking time for self-care. Trust that prioritizing your peace is necessary. It's a form of self love.

Take one final round of breath here, fully embracing the peace within you and affirming your commitment to protect it, reminding yourself it's okay to prioritize your well-being.

And when you are ready, begin to bring yourself back to the space around you. Take any movements you may need and slowly, when it feels comfortable for you, open your eyes.

Carry this sense of peace with you throughout the day, knowing that you can return to this practice whenever you need it.
