Hi, Performers and Achievers. Welcome to Performers Achievers Daily with me, Raj Gavrilla. In today's episode, we're going to discuss helping you to manage emotions. Helping you to manage emotions. So, how do you know your emotions? Your emotions are your eye contact, your facial expressions, your posture, your body language. Those are all part of your emotions. Are you aligned with what it is that you're doing? Or are you congruent with what it is that you're doing? So obviously you display or show different emotions throughout the day. So do you have control of your emotions? You have control of your body for performers and achievers, that's very important to have control of your body. You can look at anything, any kind of business, any kind of work, all walks of life, in sports, with your family. Really any kind of job or uh work that you do. Are your emotions aligned with what it is that you're doing? What it is that you're accomplishing or achieving or your initiative. And so that's the first place to be aware and to recognize. There's lots of examples that you can see this with. You can see this when, for example, someone's doing performance management, and you're there, and you're there to help and support your employees to succeed. And so obviously, you're looking to see how you can develop them and how they can progress. And so your emotions that you're showing, and how you come across to the to your employee uh is very important. And obviously, that also you can look at them and look at their emotions. You look at their eye contact, their facial expressions, their body language, their posture, and get a sense for getting everyone to understand what it is that that we're here to accomplish, what are the objectives, and to go about it in a in a way that's beneficial to all that are involved. So that's very important to have that common task or common goal in mind. So once you're able to manage those emotions, then you're able to show yourself or present yourself in a way that's aligned with what it is that your initiative is, your common goal, or your task is or you're achieving, or what you're accomplishing. You can see this in lots of different areas and in sports. You can see people who are not aligned. You don't see it often because they're professional sports players, athletes. Doesn't happen often. However, there are times when it does happen. So we were watching, for example, yesterday, you're watching the or I don't know if you were watching it, but I was watching, or we were watching, the NFC Championship game and the AFC Championship game. And those emotions on both sides they control or they manage their emotions. And how do they do it? The way they do it is they recognize or are aware of their eye contact, their facial expressions, their posture, their body language. You're also aware of the other persons. And that's something that you can implement to help you. Are you aware? You recognize your facial, your eye contact, facial expressions, body language, posture. And are you aligned with what it is that is the common objective or the common goal or the common achievement or the common accomplishment? Also, you can watch, for example, the Australian Open is currently on. And their antennas again. A lot of those people are the players for controlling or managing their emotions. So whenever you're about to proceed somewhere, or you're interacting with someone, talking to someone, meeting with someone, or you're performing. Could be anything. Doesn't matter what kind of performers you are. You could be performing in dance, you could be performing as a professional engineer, you could be performing as uh someone in IT, or you could be performing in other areas, other works, businesses, you could be performing in marketing, or in research, or as a doctor, or as a lawyer, or as an accountant, or as a coach, or consultant, or as a sports player. Are you aware and do you recognize and have control of your body? Control of your emotions, managing your emotions. And again, that's eye contact, your facial expressions, your posture, and your body language. And are you aligned with the other person so that together you're able to accomplish a common objective or common goal, common task? That's what I have for you today. To help you manage your emotions. If you like my podcast, like it.
