About Tammy Toney-Butler: https://www.reflectivespacesministry.com/about

Good morning. Welcome to Reflective Spaces Ministry's teaching today. I'm Tammy Toney-Butler. Holy Spirit, come have your way in this time that we have together. May they see you and not me. May they be filled with fresh oil in their lamps as they struggle to find the light in the middle of the dark. Dark times are all around. You only need to turn on the news, scroll through social media, and you become instantly overwhelmed with negativity. Fear threatens to consume you. that there is no fear in perfect love. Perfect love casts out all fear. Perfect love casts out all fear. Today, we're going to dive in to our Keeping It Simple series. Praise thy holy name. Let's begin. Praise thy holy name. Father had put on me to do a keeping it simple series, building a strong foundation, a sure foundation, and praise thy holy name. I pray that your eyes are open and your ears open to hear the words that God is speaking to your spirit man. May you receive and glean knowledge that will transform you, heal you, strengthen you, guide you into all truth, and let you walk in a knowing, a knowing that God is with you. It does not matter your current circumstances. You can find joy in the middle of any storm, You can choose joy knowing God sits on the throne. Lord Jesus died so we could have life more abundantly. By his stripes you were healed. Healing is your portion. Peace is your portion. Joy is your portion. He's your protector. Your redeemer. He restores you, brings you into a place of complete restoration. Everything he is is in his name. We praise thy holiness. Today, we're going to be building again off of scripture. We look at Psalm nine, Psalm ninety six, thirteen. Second Chronicles, fourteen, eleven, First Chronicles, sixteen, twenty three to thirty six and Psalm ninety six, one to thirteen. So let's grab your Bibles, grab your coffee if you need it. I even have mine today. And I don't know if you can see my bug, but it says my mug, but it says all aboard the struggle bus, because many of you are on the struggle bus. I've been guilty of being on the struggle bus. So let's get comfortable and let's begin this teaching. As we all fellowship together, as we come together in unity together, one body unified under the head, which is Christ. It does not matter your gender, your race. Doesn't matter any of those things. Doesn't matter your immigration status. Nothing matters. When you seek God, you'll find him. When you believe in Lord Jesus, you're covered under his protective wing, under his lordship, and the host, the general of heaven's armies, Is with you. Guiding you into all truth. The spirit. Of the Lord. The Holy Spirit. The spirit of Jesus. Dwells in you. When the spirit of God is with you. You can step out. In bold. Confidence. Knowing. This is the way walking. My steps are ordered. By the Lord. You can step into any room. You can own that room. Doesn't matter who's in office. Doesn't matter which king is sitting on the throne. In this world, we know there's only one true king. Only one true king. Lord Jesus Christ. by His work on the cross, solidified abundant life for all those who believe. I sinned. He washed me clean. I shouldn't be speaking to you today. He pulled me out of the gutter, healed me of so many addictions. set me free and set me on a pathway of righteousness for his name's sake because I came out of egypt egypt came out of me and I'm on his mission to get egypt out of you to set you free your past does not define you negative words spoken over you do not define you You are all God says you are. Today is your day. Your day of joy. Your day of freedom. So let's praise thy holy name. Let's send up praises to our Lord Jesus. For today is a great day and we will rejoice. He who the Son sets free is free indeed. We are free. Free to worship. Free to love. Free to paint the world we want to see. To have joy. Healing is ours. Abundant life is ours. Will you believe it? Will you step into all God's called you to be this season? You can do it. He's with you. He loves you. I love you. And let's dive into his teaching. Because we are nothing without his word, his sword guiding us. It penetrates bone and marrow, brings us into all truth, lights our path, directs our steps, shows us the compass, the true north, which is embedded in our heart. So we know which way to go. And we can be the bearers of light in a dark world. Today we're going to start by reading Psalm nine. And I'm going to be reading out of the King James Version, out of the Life Application Study Bible. I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart I will shoot forth all by marvelous works I will be glad and rejoice in thee I will sing praise to thy name oh thou most high when mine enemies are turned back they shall fall and perish at thy presence for thou has maintained my right and my cause Thou sadist in the throne, judging right. Thou hast rebuked the heathen. Thou hast destroyed the wicked. Thou hast put out their name forever and ever. O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end, and thou hast destroyed cities. Their memorial is perished with them. But the Lord shall endure forever. He hath prepared his throne for judgment, and he shall judge the world in righteousness. He shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness. The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. I don't know about you, but I need that refuge. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee, for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion. Declare among the people his doings. When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them. He forgetteth not the cry of the humble. He forgetteth not the cry of the humble. Have mercy upon me, O Lord, consider my trouble, which I suffer of them that hate me. Thou that liftest me up from the gates of death, that I may shoot forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion. I will rejoice in thy salvation. The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made. In the net which they hid is their own foot taken. The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made. In the net which they hid is their own foot taken. He'll protect you from the snare and the fowler. You only need to ask. The Lord is known by the judgment which he executed. The wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. The wicked shall be turned into hell and all the nations that forget God. For the needy shall not always be forgotten. The expectation of the poor shall not perish forever. Arise, O Lord, let not man prevail. Let the heathen be judged in thy sight. Put them in fear, O Lord, that the nations may know themselves to be, but men say law. They are but men. Remember, God is in charge. Lord Jesus sits to the right side of the Father. We know who's on the throne. And we will continue. Now we're going to look at Psalm ninety six thirteen out of the New Living Translation as we build off of scripture, off of God's word. Planted in a sure foundation. a solid foundation on the rock. Before the Lord, for he is coming. He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with justice and the nations with his truth. Now let's look at that in the King James Version, Psalm ninety six, thirteen. Before the Lord, for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness and the people with his truth. Whose truth? His truth. Now we're going to look at second Chronicles, fourteen, eleven out of the new living translation. Then Asa cried out to the Lord, his God. Oh, Lord, no one but you can help the powerless against the mighty. Help us, O Lord our God, for we trust in you alone. It is in your name that we have come against the vast horde. O Lord, you are our God. Do not let mere men prevail against you. Now we're going to look at Second Chronicles, fourteen, eleven in the King James Version. And Asa cried unto the Lord his God and said, Lord, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many or with them that have no power. Help us, O Lord our God, for we rest on thee. Who do you rest on? God. And in thy name we go against this multitude, O Lord. Thou art our God. Let no man prevail against thee. Now, first Chronicles, out of the New Living Translation. Let the whole earth sing to the Lord each day, proclaim the good news that he saves. Now, publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does. First Chronicles, sixteen, twenty five. Great is the Lord. He is most worthy of praise. He is to be feared above all gods. First Chronicles, sixteen, twenty six. The gods of other nations are mere idols, but the Lord made the heavens. First Chronicles, sixteen, twenty seven. Honor and majesty surround him. Strength and joy fill his dwellings. Oh, nations of the world, recognize the Lord. Recognize that the Lord is glorious and strong. Give to the Lord the glory he deserves. Bring your offering and come into his presence. Worship the Lord in all his holy splendor. Sixteen thirty. Let all the earth tremble before him. The world stands firm and cannot be shaken. First Chronicles, sixteen thirty one. Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice. Tell all the nations the Lord reigns. First Chronicles, sixteen thirty two. Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise. Let the fields and their crops burst out with joy. Let the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord, for he is coming to judge the earth. First Chronicles, sixteen thirty three. For he is coming to judge the earth. Is your lamp full? Are you ready? First Chronicles, sixteen thirty four. Give thanks to the Lord for he is good. His faithful love endures forever. First Chronicles, sixteen thirty five. Cry out. Save us, O God, of our salvation. Gather and rescue us from among the nations so we can thank your holy name and rejoice and praise you. How many of you are crying out? Save me, God. Save me from my current circumstances, my current storms. Whether you're facing a financial crisis, a relationship crisis, a medical crisis, a parenting crisis, whatever it is, is with you. Jesus is in your boat. You need only to believe, never doubt, and praise thy holy name. For it's in our praise even in the darkest of times, that his light invades the earth and brings us into all glorious truth. Oh God, our God, we worship you. We praise your holiness. First Chronicles, sixteen thirty six. Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, who lives from everlasting to everlasting. And all the people shouted amen and praise the Lord. We shout amen. We praise the Lord. We lift up his name. Now let's look at Psalm ninety six one out of the King James Version. Oh, sing unto the Lord a new song. Sing unto the Lord all the earth. Psalm ninety-six, two. Sing unto the Lord, bless his name, shoot forth his salvation from day to day. Psalm ninety-six, three now. Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. Psalm ninety-six, four. For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised. He is to be feared above all gods. Psalm ninety-six, five. For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Psalm ninety-six-six. Honor and majesty are before him. Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. Psalm ninety-six-seven. Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people. Give unto the Lord glory and strength. Psalm ninety-six-eight. Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name. Bring an offering and come into his courts. Psalm ninety six nine. Oh, worship the Lord and the beauty of holiness. Fear before him all the earth. Fear before him all the earth. Psalm ninety six ten. Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth. The world also shall be established that it shall not be moved. He shall judge the people righteously. Psalm ninety six eleven. Let the heavens rejoice and let the earth be glad. Let the sea roar and the fullness thereof. Ninety six twelve. Let the field be joyful and all that is therein. Then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice before the Lord. For he cometh to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness. and the people with his truth. Psalm ninety six thirteen. Psalm ninety six closely resembles David's hymn of praise in First Chronicles sixteen seven to thirty six. Let's read First Chronicles sixteen out of the NLT. So we're going to grab our Bibles and turn to first Chronicles out of the NLT. And that is what I've got. Let's see, First Chronicles, sixteen. Again, I give you these in the order in which the Lord gave them to me in my little download. And I don't know why this is his ordering of these scriptures. but this is what he does. And when you study this and study different versions, you'll see side notes and other reference scriptures because you're to build off a scripture much like if you're a writer, if you're an educator, if you're an academia, you get two, three, four references. Each verse is a reference and builds. And you'll see in the New Testament, they often go back and look at the Old Testament. And that's what we're doing now. We're looking at the Old Testament. First Chronicles sixteen. They brought the ark of God and placed it inside the special tent David had prepared for it. and they presented burnt offerings and peace offerings to God. When he had finished his sacrifices, David blessed the people in the name of the Lord. Then he gave to every man and woman in all Israel a loaf of bread, a cake of dates, and a cake of raisins. David appointed the following Levites to lead the people in worship before the Ark of the Lord, to invoke his blessings, to give thanks, and to praise the Lord, the God of Israel. Asaph, the leader of this group, sounded the cymbals. Second to him was Zechariah, followed by Jel, Shemarama, Jehama, Matithah, Elib, Binah, Obed, Edom, and Jekiel. They played the harps and lyres. The priests Benaiah and Jehazel played the tromps regularly before the Ark of God's covenant. Now we get into David's song of praise, starting in sixteen seven. On that day, David gave to Asaph and his fellow Levites the song of thanksgiving to the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Sing to him. Yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds. Exalt in his holy name. Rejoice you who worship the Lord. Search for the Lord and for his strength. Continually seek him. Remember the wonders he has performed, his miracles and the rulings he has given. You children of his servant Israel, you descendants of Jacob, his chosen ones. He is the Lord our God. His justice is seen throughout the land. Remember his covenant forever. The commitment he made to a thousand generations. This is the covenant he made with Abraham and the oath he swore to Isaac. He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree and to the people of Israel as a never-ending covenant. I will give you the land of Canaan as your special possession. He said this when you were few in number, a tiny group of strangers in Canaan. They wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another. Yet he did not let anyone oppress them. He warned kings on their behalf, do not touch them. my chosen people, and do not hurt my prophets. That's a warning. Let the whole earth sing to the Lord. Each day proclaim the good news that he saves. Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does. Great is the Lord. He is most worthy of praise. He is to be feared above all gods. The gods of other nations are mere idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Honor and majesty surround him. Strength and joy fill his dwelling. O nations of the world, recognize the Lord. Recognize that the Lord is glorious and strong. Give to the Lord the glory he deserves. Bring your offering and come into his presence. Worship the Lord in all his holy splendor. Let all the earth tremble before him. The world stands firm and cannot be shaken. Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice. Tell all the nations, the Lord reigns. Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise. Let the fields and their crops burst out with joy. Let the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord, for he is coming to judge the earth. Give thanks to the Lord for he is good. His faithful love endures forever. Cry out, save us, O God of our salvation. Gather and rescue us from among the nations so we can thank your holy name and rejoice and praise you. Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, who lives from everlasting to everlasting. And all the people shouted amen and praised the Lord. We're going to stop there and praise the Lord. All nations, everyone, praised the Lord. It doesn't matter what's going on in the world. God is in charge. And when you put the kingdom of God first, everything else shall be given unto you. Because you're saying, I surrender Lord Jesus to your will for my life and not my own. I trust you, God. I trust you, God. I can't control anything, God. You can. You control everything, God. For the steps of the righteous are ordered by the Lord. There's no coincidence. There's no luck in the kingdom of God. Everything is for a purpose. Everything to the appointed time, to the appointed season. Now let's look at how to praise God. We sing about him. We worship him. Give him glory. We tell others about him. We bring offerings to him. We live holy lives. We need to resemble what we preach to others. Do we look like little Jesus is walking around? Do they see Christ in us in the way we live our lives? Do we look out after our neighbor or do we persecute them? God's always watching. He knows everything you're doing. We all will be judged. Are you on the right side? Are you trusting in Lord Jesus? Have you asked him to be Lord and Savior of your heart, for the Holy Spirit to dwell inside you, bring you into all truth? Do you believe in Lord Jesus? that he died on the cross, was fully God, fully man, is raised from the dead and now sits to the right side of a father, of a father in heaven. Lord Jesus, Lord Jesus, everything he is is in his name. Remember, offer daily praise, sacrifices on the altar of God's heart. Praise him, glorify him. Exalt him, obey his commands and cleanse yourself by reading his word. Repent daily, ask for forgiveness. We live in a fallen world. Darkness is everywhere. He knows you struggle. It's that daily heart posture of realizing you miss it. of seeking him, letting him guide you into all truth, letting him be the Lord and Savior of your life. He is the only God. Don't put your trust in money. Don't put your trust in man. Don't put your trust in your job. Put your trust in God, Lord Jesus. You will never, you will never, ever, ever be forsaken. He will never leave you nor forsake you. That's what his word says. He's always with you. Through every storm, through every drought, through every famine, he is with you. He is with you. He is with you. We only need to look to his work on the cross and know how much he loves us. What father, sends his only son to die for us. And what man, what God, Lord Jesus, did for us on the cross by obeying God and being obedient even unto death. He did that for us because he loves us. For a sinner like me, he took me out of the worst pit. I was so dirty, full of shame. He felt so unworthy. And he lifted me up to a place of royalty in him. He gave me a love I'd never known, peace I'd never known, and joy, despite circumstances. Despite my past, I am victorious in Christ Jesus and you can be too. Lord Jesus, oh Holy Spirit, we praise thy holy name, oh God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our precious Lord Jesus. Bring us into all truth, God. Guide us. Give us wisdom and understanding, knowledge. Help us to mature and move from milk to meat. Help us to mature as believers, knowing this is the way, walking it, hearing your voice, the whisper, guiding us. May we see you in everything. May your light transform us, free us, redeem us out of the pit and translate us into your glorious kingdom of light, love and peace and joy. Never will the darkness overtake us because we're children of the light, bearers of the light. Oh, Father, heal them today. Heal them, Father. Remove any drought, any sickness, any famine, spiritual or physical. May they see you. May they know you. May they walk in glory this day in total freedom as they surrender everything to you, making you Lord and Savior of their life and walking in the abundant life and promises that you have for those of us who believe and call on your holy name. Glory be to Jesus. Thank you. I thank you, Father, you've heard me. As I intercede for your sheep, the sheep of your pasture, O God, we cry out to you, O God, for there is darkness everywhere, O God. Invade us with your light, O God. Bring heaven to earth, O God. Touch us where we are. strengthen us remove any spirits of fear we rebuke those now in the name of jesus and we call forth power love and a sound mind today is the day of freedom for your sheep o god the sheep of your pasture for you are our shepherd we praise you we glorify you we exalt you we worship you in spirit and truth In the name of your precious son, Lord Jesus, we pray.
