Welcome to today's mini-teaching episode, 'A Life of Desperation.' I'm Tammy Toney-Butler, a Healing Evangelist with Reflective Spaces Ministry. Holy Spirit come come during this time that we have together a time of peace of love of joy a time of spiritual refreshment fresh oil in our lamps as we are guided by the truth the truth of your word the truth of your promises the truth of a relationship that we have with you Lord Jesus it's all about relationship we love you Jesus we praise your holy name guide us into all truth may we have ears to hear and eyes to see spiritually what you want us to glean from your knowledge your wisdom your understanding that we can only come to by way of the spirit of truth your Holy Spirit guiding us keeping us strengthening us and giving us the ability to let go of things that no longer serve us this season

and the pathway in which you want us to walk on glory be to Jesus glory be to Jesus glory be to Jesus in your precious name we pray amen a life of desperation are you desperate for Jesus are you broken lost full of shame guilt over things you have done in the past are you looking for a better way a way out of the despair loneliness and suffering of this current season you're walking in what if I told you I had the answer held the key to breakthrough in abundant life would you knock at my door seek me out would you call out to me in your misery and ask me to save you would you be open to surrendering control of your life to me that's the question is it not the heart of the breakthrough surrender realizing your great need for Lord Jesus to rule your life guide you into all truth by way of his Holy Spirit are you willing to call out to Lord Jesus and drop the deception you are deceiving yourself every time you reach for anything other than the love of Jesus to comfort you jesus is the answer jesus is the only answer be desperate for Jesus be desperate for Jesus in seasons of plenty and seasons of lack be desperate for Jesus each day and let his truth surround you as you marinate in his word of truth and let it deliver you out of the bondage of your past

who will you believe who will you follow jesus or the world jesus or Satan jesus or drugs jesus or material possessions jesus or fame jesus or wealth jesus or an unholy union will you follow Jesus or will you follow the world what if this was your last test your last warning to turn away from the past and step into an abundant life in Jesus

what if a door was closing and if you knocked you would not be let in because you've turned away from your first love how long do we really have to repent to change our old mindset and turn to righteous living in Jesus walking in the Torah the instructions for a righteous life of purity and truth that can only come through a relationship with Lord Jesus Christ how long do we have until the Messiah comes for his bride and you are left behind for the great tribulation how long do we have no one knows the day or the hour but we must be ready for the great day of the Lord approacheth will we be ready will we be without spot or blemish a purified bride that's the question before us today be desperate for Jesus realizing nothing matters but Jesus and his love for us jesus is the answer jesus is the only answer to breakthrough jesus is life choose life choose Jesus and for today's reading we will be reading out of the complete Jewish Bible an English version by David H stern we will also be referencing the King James version and looking at the King James version we're going to be going to Galatians galatians 2 and we're going to start reading around uh verse uh 11 and we will be reading 11 through I believe 21 furthermore when Caya which means Peter came to Antioch I opposed him publicly because he was clearly in the wrong for prior to the arrival of certain people from the community headed by Yokova James he had been eating with the gentile believers but when they came he withdrew and separated himself because he was afraid of the faction who favored circumcising gentile believers who are you afraid of are you afraid to be yourself to walk in the Torah to walk in a relationship with the Lord Jesus and the other Jew Jewish believers became hypocrites along with him so that even Barnaba was led astray by their hypocrisy are you leading people astray from the true gospel the gospel of truth the gospel of Jesus Christ where love is the greatest commandment of all love God with all your heart all your soul lean not on your own understanding love your neighbor as yourself but when I saw that they were not walking a straight path keeping in line with the truth of the good news I said to Kefa Peter right in front of everyone "If you who are a Jew live like a Gentile and not like a Jew why are you forcing the Gentiles to live like Jews we are Jews by birth not so-called Gentile sinners even so we have come to realize that a person is not declared righteous by God on the ground of his legalistic observance of Torah commands but through the Messiah Yeshua's trusting faithfulness therefore we too have put our trust in Messiah Yeshua and become faithful to him in order that we might be declared righteous on the ground of the Messiah's trusting faithfulness and not on the ground of our legalistic observance of Torah commands for on the ground of legalistic observance of Torah commands no one will be declared righteous but if in seeking to be declared righteous by God through our union with the Messiah we ourselves are indeed found to be sinners then is the Messiah an aider and a better of sin heaven forbid indeed if I build up again the legalistic bondage which I destroyed I really do make myself a transgressor for it was through letting the Torah speak for itself that I died to its traditional legalistic misinterpretation so that I might live in direct relationship with God it's all about relationship when the Messiah was executed on the stake as a criminal I was too so that my proud ego no longer lives but the Messiah lives in me and the life I now live in my body I live by the same trusting faithfulness that the Son of God had who loved me and gave himself up for me i do not reject God's gracious gift for if the way in which one attains righteousness is through legalism then the Messiah's death was pointless wow let me read this again when the Messiah was executed on the stake as a criminal I was too so that my proud ego longer lives it truly is talking about dying to self dying to self surrendering under the lordship of Jesus Christ walking in a relationship with him which truly gives you the strength and the ability to live by the Torah righteous living the Torah is a road mapap for righteous living it is an instruction manual but it is relationship it is Lord Jesus Christ coming into your life setting you free saving you that gives you truly the strength and the ability to live that righteous way of life to live in that union that union with Jesus that relationship the relationship that transforms the relationship that heals the relationship that breaks the yoke of bondage off it breaks the yoke of bondage off and you are no longer condemned living under the condemnation of the law but living through the relationship and the love of Lord Jesus Christ so let us look at this again in the King James version we're in Galatians and we're going to start with 11 and go through 21 paul publicly opposed Peter but when Peter was come to Antioch I withtood him to the face because he was to be blamed for before that certain came from James he did eat with the Gentiles but when they were come he withdrew and separated himself fearing them which were of the circumcision and remember there is no fear in perfect love there's only power love and a sound mind we don't need to fear man we don't need to fear the world the world's ways we need to look towards our freedom our joy our peace which only comes when we look to Lord Jesus cross victorious off the cross and living and seated in heavenly places to the right side of the father in the throne room of heaven

and the other Jews dissembled likewise with him in so much that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation but when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel I said unto Peter before them all If thou being a Jew livest after the manner of Gentiles and not as do the Jews why compelst thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews we are to mirror Christ to the world we are to live by the love of Christ having a transformed heart and mind by Christ we are to live by faith and mirror that out to a world what does our behavior and action say to others are we showing them Christ the love of Christ are we showing them condemnation under the law

we who are Jews by nature and not sinners of the Gentiles knowing that a man is not justified by works of the law but by the faith of Jesus Christ even we have believed in Jesus Christ that we might be justified by the faith of Christ and not by the works of the law for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified wow but if while we seek to be justified by Christ we ourselves also are found sinners is therefore Christ the minister of sin God forbid for if I build again the things which I destroyed I make myself a transgressor for I through the law am dead to the law that I might live unto God i am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live yet not I but Christ liveth in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me i do not frustrate the grace of God for if righteousness come by the law then Christ is dead in vain we have the Holy Spirit the Spirit of Christ living in us we live by the fate the faith of the son of God his strength his faith it is Jesus in us it is when we truly die to self when we surrender and say "Not our will but yours be done." Then Jesus lives in us his holy spirit dwells in us and that spirit takes over and it transforms us layer by layer inch by inch it transforms gives us a pure heart and out of our heart flows rivers of living water it helps us to live the Torah it helps us to live a righteous lifestyle it helps us to keep the moral law of the commandments given forth by God the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob the God of our precious Lord Jesus but is only by a relationship with Christ when he comes in and we crucify our flesh and he gets rid of the the the the weeds he gets gets the the chaff gone out of the wheat that we truly are like little Jesus walking around in the world mirroring Christ to a dying world mirroring the light of Christ the love of Christ the healing bomb the healing staff of Christ his healing blood his redemptive blood his restoration to a world that is desperate for Jesus and we must be desperate for Jesus we must let go of ourselves and become like little children again under the lordship of Lord Jesus Christ and he came to show us the father so when we surrender and walk by faith and not by sight

surrender our lives to Jesus then we become bearers of the light of truth transformed layer by layer restored and walking in abundant life today's the day that you say no more no more to addiction no more to a life living outside of the Torah and the teachings of Lord Jesus Christ because you enter into relationship you surrender and you follow him we're running out of time he's coming for his bride be ready be ready be ready fresh oil fresh oil fresh oil glory be to Jesus glory be to Jesus glory be to Jesus that concludes this episode for Reflective Spaces Ministries podcast a life of desperation follow Jesus follow the truth follow the light of truth follow the spirit of truth he's coming for his bride be ready be ready be ready
