About Tammy Toney-Butler: https://www.reflectivespacesministry.com/about

Welcome to today's episode of the Reflective Spaces Ministry Podcast. I'm Tammy Toney-Butler, Healing Evangelist and your host. But we all know who the host of this show is, and that's Christ. Holy Spirit, come have your way in this time that we have together. May they hear you and not me, see you and not me. May they glean from your field of truth through the revealed word of God. May they see the answer to the questions that they have through your words, oh God. May they see you, oh God. Through the path that Jesus walked, may they find their way that narrow road that leads to eternal life as they follow the example Jesus set in scripture. Be with them this day. Keep them. Strengthen them. Oh God, in the mighty name of Jesus, I pray and declare all things. Amen. We see in scripture where Jesus prayed. He prayed often to the father. He prayed for father's will to be done and not his own. We see where he withdrew. He woke up in the early morning before daylight even and went to a isolated place to seek the father.

He sought the father to communicate with the father through prayer. Prayer is our way of communicating to our creator, to Aba, Father, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our precious Lord, Jesus. When we pray, we communicate, we talk, we have a relationship with our father and we grow closer to him. Because when you communicate with another person, you grow closer to them. You have an understanding of their ways.

You have an understanding of their ways. And you have a relationship built on trust, a powerful relationship. And in scripture, Jesus set an example for us so that we can know this is the way. Walk in it. This is the narrow path. Go this way. Don't stray to the right. Don't stray to the left. Keep your eyes ahead on Jesus on the work done on the cross. And we see that Jesus prayed. And when we look at John 17, Jesus prays to be glorified. After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed, "Father, the hour has come. Glorify your son that your son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might have eternal life to all those that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him." Now this is eternal life that they know you the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. And now father glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began. We go on in six where the heading is Jesus prays for his disciples. I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours. You gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you.

For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you and they believe that you sent me. I pray for them. I am not praying for the world but for those you've given me for they are yours. All I have is yours and all you have is mine and glory has come to me through them. I will remain in the world no longer but they are still in the world and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one. While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe. By that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that scripture would be fulfilled. I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I'm still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. within them. I have given them your word and the world has hated them. For they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world, but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth. Your word is truth. And you sent me into the world. I've as you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself that that they too may be truly sanctified. And it goes on in 20 with a heading of Jesus prays for all believers. My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message that all of them may be one. Father, just as you are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us so that the world may believe that you've sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me that they may be as one as we are one. I in them and you in me so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them as you have loved me. Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am and to see my glory. The glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. Righteous Father, through the world uh though the world does not know you, I know you and they know that you have sent me. I have made you known to them and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them so that I myself may be in them. And that's what Jesus did with his work on the cross. He died so we could have eternal life. He died so that that we could have him living inside of us. The spirit of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the spirit of Christ lives in us as believers, making us new creatures, giving us the heart and mind of Jesus, giving us strength, giving us joy, joy beyond measure, a peace that surpasses all understanding.

He's in us and we get to have what we say as believers. We get to speak life over other believers. We get to call forth healing. By his stripes, you were healed. We get to say those prayers. We get to have what we say. We get to walk in abundance as followers of Christ. We get to walk in abundance. And that is what he wants you to know today. That prayer is a weapon. Prayer is a powerful powerful powerful weapon. And I wanted us to just look at one more passage of scripture which I was trying to get to now because it just was so important to me. And it was when I looked at um Matthew 7 and I saw Matthew 7:7. Ask, seek, and knock. Ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you will find. Knock and the door will be open to you. For everyone who asks receives, the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Remember prayer is our way to communicate to have that open door to to to communicate with God to draw close to knock when you knock I and you seek you get in that heart posture of Father speak to me I'm ready I want to hear you God you you go along uh go alone to that isolated spot like Jesus withdrew from the crowd Jesus woke up in the early morning because he wanted zero distractions. He wanted to communicate with father and to hear him clearly. So I say to you today, get away from the noise. Go to the isolated place so that Jesus so that that but by the way of Jesus's spirit that you can communicate with God. You have access to draw near to God. The veil has been removed. You have You are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. So get alone with God. Speak to him. Pray in the spirit. Spirit to spirit. If you don't know how to pray, the spirit makes intercession. So pray in your prayer language. Pray in tongues. Pray until you get a release of that burden in your spirit. until you get that clarity that you need. Pray, pray, pray. And when we look at Matthew um 6 where it's starts in in five. And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly, I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your father who is unseen. Then your father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your father knows what you need before you ask. This then is how you should pray. Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. See that? And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive other their sins, then your father will not forgive your sins. And just focus on that where it says, "And lead us not into temptation." Prayer is powerful so that you will not fall into temptation so that you will have the strength that you need to weather every storm. So that you will know which way to walk and you will not depart from the ways of of the righteous paths from the heavenly ways that you will not depart from them. When you pray you get draw close to God and you know the will of God. You know his will because you are so close to him in a relationship with him that that you learn how to pray according to his will. You pray in your prayer language. And you remember look where it talks about in Matthew 18 uh when we look at Matthew 18:18. Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. You come together and you pray. You you prayer is such a powerful weapon. And when you pray in line with God's will, he will give you the desires of your heart. He will give you the desires of your heart. And again I say it to you. How do you know the will of the father? Through communicating with him. And how do you communicate with father? Through prayer. Through prayer. And ask him ask him to give you the heart and mind of Christ to awaken you to the ways of the kingdom of God so that you know what you have access to. There is no sickness in heaven. So there is no sickness tolerated on earth. There is is no um deceit in heaven. So no deceit is tolerated on earth. There is is uh no anger. There's no fighting. So those things are not tolerated on earth. We get to have what we say. But we have to remember to ask, to seek, to knock, to invite God into our situation. Because when we get God into our situation, then it is the power of the kingdom of God that changes everything. That resurrection power that that that Jesus that that rose Jesus from the dead, we have access to that power as believers. But are we using it? Are we praying as we should? Are we getting alone? Where it says in g in in Mark um Mark 1:35 and the heading is Jesus prays in a solitary place. Very early in the morning while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place where he prayed. And he just keeps going on and on and on in scripture talking about prayer and how important it is. How it's important that we pray so that we are not led into into temptation. Because when we are are a people of prayer, then we know God's will and and we have power over sin, over temptation because we are so close to God, that we know his will. And that is why it is powerful that we that we stay people of prayer that we stay people of prayer. It increases our faith. It increases our faith and that is why it is so so important.

We must have strong faith in this world that we're in today. And we must know how to hear the voice, that still small voice. We need to know what is father's will and we need to pray according to scripture believing that what we ask for in prayer that's in line with God's will that we indeed have received. And I want to close with this. In Luke 22:39,

it says in yes, in Luke 22 uh 39, Jesus prays on the Mount of Olives. Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives and his disciples followed him. On reaching the place, he said to them, "Pray that you will not fall into temptation." He withdrew about a stones throw beyond them, knelt down, and prayed. see that he knelt down and prayed and he went to the Mount of Olives. It's an isolated spot. And he's telling you, pray that you will not fall into temptation. And that's part of the Lord's prayer that we read. He withdrew about a stone throw beyond them, knelt down, and prayed, "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me. Yet not my will, but yours be done." An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. And being in anguish he prayed more earnestly. Remember the prayer of a righteous man avaleth much. So and being in anguish he prayed more earnestly and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground. When he rose from prayer and went back to the disciples he found them asleep exhausted from sorrow. Why are you sleeping? He asked them, "Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation." We must in this hour be people of prayer so that we can stay on that narrow road. So that we know the way that Jesus walked because he is our example on earth of what to follow, of who to follow. We are to be like little Jesus is walking around. When people see us, they need to see Jesus. The miracle working power, the healing power that Jesus walked in. He came for the sick. He came for those that needed a physician. He came for the sinner, not the the religious elite that did not believe that they needed anyone to save them. He came for those that were lost, those that were broken, those that were in need of a savior. For we all fall short of the glory of the Lord. And without him, we're nothing but filthy rags. So I say to you today, ask Jesus to come into your heart, be Lord and Savior of your life to wash you clean and make you fresh and new. Ask him to forgive you of your sins. Say, "Lord Jesus, I know you died on the cross. I I know you came to earth. You're fully God, fully man. You died on the cross. You rose again the third day and you're seated in heavenly p places beside. Father, I know that and I know with this prayer that you're in my heart. I surrender my life to your lordship. Not my will but yours be done. Live inside of me. Make me fresh and new. And I receive your Holy Spirit through faith. the same faith that I'm praying this prayer with now. Knowing I'm a son or a daughter of the most high king, knowing I'm a son or daughter of the most high king, I pray this prayer. And I know with that same prayer that the Holy Spirit's inside of me, making me fresh and new. And I receive salvation by faith. And I receive the Holy Spirit by faith. And I thank you that you're going to help me, Jesus. You're going to help me, Jesus. You're going to help me to walk the righteous path, that narrow path. You're going to show me the way. You're going to show me the way. And your spirit is going to guide me. Help me to pray, strengthen me, show me the righteous path. Help me to love others as you loved me. Jesus, you gave your life for me. As father loved me because father sent you, his only begotten son, his only begotten son, so that none of us should perish. You gave your life for us. Help me to give my life to you and serve you all the days of my life. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray this prayer over you even. And if you've prayed this prayer, this prayer and you've asked Jesus to come into your heart. Remember to email us at info@reflecttospacesministry.com.
