Welcome And Reno Field Trip

Sam

Ooh, we're talking, talking about what's eating you. Talking about what's eating you. This field trip is proudly brought to you by Rogers Hood Apothecary.

Speaker 4

Hi everyone, welcome back to another What's Eating You field trip. We are here in Reno, Nevada at Face Ritual. Today we are getting advanced facial massages, including the viral buckle massage. So come on with us. So excited.

Meet Maria At Face Ritual

Speaker 6

Welcome to Face Ritual. This is Maria.

Speaker 1

Hello, welcome in, please. Thank you so much. Welcome. Hi everyone, my name is Maria and I'm an aesthetician and owner Face Ritual Studio here in Rena. And right now we are going to work with Skim with Advanced Massage Technique. We will work with your facial, we will work with your muscle. We are going work deep with buccal massage technique. So let's begin.

Advanced Massage Game Plan

Kim

How long have you been doing this?

Speaker 1

Almost 10 years. Yeah. In Russia I had a medical degree. I was starting my career in surgery. Yeah, in children's surgery. Wow. Yes, and almost 10 years I work as an aesthetician. I was working in Russia, then I was working in Turkey, and then three years in America, I work as an aesthetician too. I work not just with massage technique, it's just part of my services, but my favorite part honestly.

Kim

What techniques are you going to be doing on me today?

Speaker 1

We will start with you with my facial technique. I will stretch your neck, I will work a lot with your scalp. After this, I add massage oil, and we are going to work for lymphatic drainage, for sculptural massage. The first we prepare your tissue from outside, and just after this, we are going inside with bottle massage.

Speaker 8

Okay.

Speaker 1

We will work a bit with your skin too. I will use gentle enzyme exfoliator. It's without any downtime, just for gentle polish your skin and the mask for hydrate your skin. Okay. Perfect. Nice. So, Kim, please pay attention on your breathing. Your breathing is the main things today. You can keep your hand on your belly, it helps you like control your breathing. And each moment when you feel it's sensitive for you, just deep inhale and exhale. Okay? Now please deep inhale. X and release your neck. Yeah, and just release it. Did you do something with your scalp? Your scalp is pretty good. Oh yes.

Scalp Health And Lymph Flow

Kim

I use aisles, but my secret has been I eat a lot of meat as my protein intake. And I started doing that around six months ago, and it's really good organic grass-fed, grass finished, like seven times the omega, and it has changed my scalp. And then I also use a tincture that I created called Sustain. And that helps with dandruff because Candida can cause that. So I'm really conscientious to take herbs like what's in my like my products to make sure that I keep that part of my scalp good. And then I use a non-toxic shampoo and conditioner made by IELTS and make sure that everything I'm putting on my body is you know as clean as possible.

Speaker 1

Yes, it's about your tissue because you know our scalp it's like a tight helmet, it's a lot compression, but your scalp it's pretty good. You can apply, like I don't know, some the most expensive one lotion for growing your hair, but if your tissue intense your follicles just don't uh get like blood and oxygen. Right there.

Kim

You know what else I use when for my scalp? I use my recover, which is pumpkin seeds, milk thistle for your liver, and shiitake and oyster, and it has helped my hair, skin, and nails. Yep, those mushrooms, man, they'll they really love to come in and clean your body.

unknown

Yeah.

Speaker 1

First we have to open like a pathway for the lymphatic flow. And the biggest one, lymphatic nodule, it's another chest.

Kim

So that's where you start with your lymphatic massages if you do them on yourself.

Speaker 1

Yes, absolutely. And after treatment, um I'll show you like supportive exercises. I always show my clients supportive exercises for home care because how I told you before, the most important thing is what you do at home. Absolutely, yeah. If you start work with your lymphatic system regularly, you get a lot of benefits. Now we are working with your um one specific group of muscles, they normal function pull down your face, pull down corner your lip, and they work a lot, and we have to release this tension.

Fascia Emotions And Brow Release

Kim

That's the side I hold my most from.

Speaker 1

You can tell.

Kim

Yep. Do you believe that our fascia holds a lot of our emotion?

Speaker 1

All our body holds a lot of emotion. Yeah. Our muscle, our fascia. Yes, absolutely. And sometimes when I start to work with deep uh technique like buccal massage, during the time we are going deep, deep, deep with my clients, and sometimes my clients can start to cry. It's not just because of it's sensitive, it's just because of um like trauma, and it's pretty good. And I always talk my clients that all that happens in this treatment room, it's just between us.

Sam

I am accepting to cry today. Yeah, Sam is crying today.

Kim

I think I can I mean I know I can feel it that there's some red on the surface, it's like right there. Yeah, friend, if it comes up, Sam very much wants me to surrender.

Speaker 8

Surrender. You're safe to surrender.

Speaker 1

You have to you have to follow just your own feet. That's right.

Speaker 2

That's right.

Speaker 1

Yes.

Speaker 2

I can feel it though. Oh, it's real tight right there.

Speaker 1

So now we are going to work deeper with your brow, and I think that it will be a bit sensitive. Again, Kim, all your attention, it's your breathing. Okay, you can look at this. Which side did you do? Uh, we just work with this side, with this brow.

Speaker 6

Yeah, how much more it's lifted.

Kim

I can see better out of my left eye. Like, literally, this is perfect for people that have good eyes, huh? And migraines. So let's use your left side. Oh my god! I can't wait to see it. It is it is not it doesn't hurt, but it's like this feeling the heel.

Speaker 1

I can feel the heel.

Buccal Massage Deep Tension Release

Speaker 1

So now we are going to work with you with the blackle massage. And how I told you before, it's not just about your jaw muscle, it's like full group of muscle. All your attention, it's your breathing. Okay, I'm a little nervous. No worries! Open them up, close, deep inhale. Don't stop your breathing. Okay. The bottom part of your draw holds a lot.

Speaker 2

Open again.

Speaker

Jeep, jeep, jeep, deep, jeep, and hell. That's wild.

Speaker 2

It's really honored in front of it, fully fully.

Sam

As big and loud as it needs to be, just let it out. Don't hold anything back. This is the time to let it go.

unknown

Okay.

Speaker 2

Oh Lord, I'm nervous for the left side. Good. When you did that, it like adjusted my my my stomach made noises and gurgles. Like I could feel.

Speaker 1

You know, this is the reason why I chose this name for my brand. It's not about facial about facial. It's not about, I don't know, face mask, chemical feels, and something like that. Right.

Speaker 6

It's not the external for you, it's the internal.

Speaker 1

That's a buff. It's a buff. Yeah, it's both. It's both. Yeah.

Speaker 6

The external is just the cherry on top. It's the like bonus that you look good too, but it's really about what the healing on the inside. We can tell by your spirit and your energy.

Speaker 1

Thank you so much. Open them up. Close. Inhale.

Sam

By the way, when I'm crying, guys, it's I it's a good thing.

Speaker 1

It's totally good thing. Absolutely.

Speaker 6

Oh Maria.

Sam

This brings a whole different mood. Oh Maria.

Kim

Oh man, we just finished. Yep. I feel like a whole new woman. I feel super calm. You're an angel. I'm so grateful for the energy and love that you just gave me in song. Oh my gosh. So grateful.

Speaker 1

Thank you. Thank you for the trust. Oh. And thank you for this opportunity. Thank you

Home Exercises For Daily Relief

Speaker 1

so much.

Kim

We're so excited to be able to show our community. Now, one really cool thing is you're gonna show us what we can do at home.

Speaker 1

This is like supportive exercises because how I told you before, now you get release, but you're back to real life. And unfortunately, we spend a lot of time we sit like this, our shoulders always near to our ears and something like that. And if you'd like to get more benefits after our treatment, because massage it's not a magic, it's all about like regular working. You have to change your routine, you have to teach your body like new habit. Yes, small steps, but every day, easy, small, simple. Yes, totally, yes, and you know all simple things totally work. But if you do this, one secret you just have to do this. About the supportive exercises. The first one it's your chest muscle because it's a lot of tension too. And if you'd like to work with your lymphatic system, with your lymphatic flow, the first you always have to work with your chest because the biggest one lymphatic nodule on our chest. And honestly, with this area, you're able to work just with your hand, like so, like a circle massage. But I suggest for my clients to buy one special ball, it's like a small massage ball. Okay, it's a lot of options you can use like a tennis ball, but I prefer like small spiky one because it's a bit deeper work with your tissue. I suggest two areas. The first one is your feet because all begins on our feet. We have to start with uh our feet every day because uh fascia work as a chain, like chain, yeah, and it begins on our feet, it's going through it full your back sides and going through your scalp. You have a connection between your scalp and your feet, and you have to start work with your feet. So you wake up, you brush your teeth in the morning, and you like roll your feet with this ball. You roll the ball on your with your foot while you're brushing your teeth.

Kim

Yes! Genius, friend. I know genius! Now I'm gonna make sure I don't fall when I do it, but I'm doing it. I'm doing it. Yes, that's that's awesome.

Speaker 1

So it releases that chain. Absolutely, yeah. Then you grab this ball again and you are going to work with your chest muscle. You start from the center and you go into the side. You like roll your muscle, you can do like some circle on your chest. Again, you also able to do this with your hand, but I prefer the ball with your feet, with your chest, don't push too much. That will be pretty sensitive.

Kim

Do you recommend doing all of that before you do anything on your face to release? Yes, so it doesn't matter. Absolutely.

Speaker 1

Absolutely. Your feet, your chest. Then you're going to stretch your neck. Because when you stretch your neck, again you work with your fascia tissue, it helps you release tension on your muscle, and most important things you open pathway for blood and lymphatic flow. And also, you release tension between your neck muscle and face muscle because when neck muscle is in tension, this tissue like pulls down your face. You have six directions, you stay in each direction about like 30-40 seconds, you breathe. The most important things, don't forget about the breathing. Also, when you do stretching, much better when you without clothes because you have pretty good contact between your hand and your tissue. The first one: up your head, remember about the posture, uh-huh. Put your hands on your chest like this, stick, and then pull tissue down. Yes. Double chin, it's not just about the fat. Um it's it's about yes, yes. We keep our lymph and our fat cells, it's physiology. Next, stretching. Turn your head to the right. When you do side stretching, it's pretty good for all people who are struggling with steam j because it also helps you release tension on your jaw. Turn your head to the right, put your right hand to the left side, pull down your ears and your jaw. Yes, seriously. Yes, yes, girls. You have to find stretching when you do side stretching, you have to find stretching around your ears and jaw. Then your left side the same. Don't do overstretch, be gentle. Release. Then your back side, your arms and your stretch, it's pretty good feeling. Stretch for your spine. Then turn to the right and then to the left. Six direction, you stay in each direction like 30-40 seconds, breathing and comfortable feeling. Don't do overstretch. And then you are going to work with your scalp because it's a lot tension too. And pretty simple movement. It's not necessary to use some special tools, just your hand. You like hack your head, use your palm, you like hack your head, and you start from few movements front, back a few times, and you move, you have to move, really, you have to move not your hair, your tissue, your scalp, your tissue. Uh-huh. And it's the reason why you have to use like a full pump. Yeah. Uh-huh. Wow. Yeah. Then side to side a few times. Yeah, again, tissue, full tissue, full scalp.

Kim

And I'm gonna go like this a lot so that I get rid of all that now that I have that seed.

Speaker 1

Don't push, just gentle hug like this. Okay, yeah, gentle, yep. And just after all of this, you're absolutely able, uh, I don't know, to go with your home care routine with simple massage movement on your face. It's all works, but the first you have to open pathway for your lymphatic flow, for your blood, for oxygen, and you have to release compression from periphery tissue. Perfectly helpful with agent. With aging.

Sam

So the way we look and feel, yes, both look and feel, and then physical pain, I'm sure it reduces physical pain.

Speaker 1

Physical pain, uh, migraines, emotional stress, yeah, trauma, releases it out of our body, so we're not getting it around.

Kim

I feel like I've calmed my oxidated stress because it's a chronic stress that I have on a daily basis, and I don't feel that right now. So I feel like I got myself into rest and digest, especially when she did this. Oh, see. Because that's where I get my SGVs. That's where I get injections of the nerve. It's like thank you so much.

Speaker 1

Units, you did so.

Sam

So nervous with my English units fantastic.

Final Reactions And How To Find One

Sam

So we just wrapped up our facial massages intense. We both got the buckle. I released so much, I had no idea that my jaw was holding on to so much. My jaw, my mouth, everything.

Kim

I released with my eyebrows, which was wild because that's when I could feel it building up. When she started doing that, I didn't know how much tension was really in my face.

Sam

These muscles here, when she on both of us, when she hit that, that was she was incredible, very skilled, strong, intuitive, calming.

Kim

Yeah, really like you need to be in a safe environment and feel like you can release, and she gave a bad thing. Yeah, she definitely did.

Sam

The treatment itself, 10 out of 10. I'm finding it in LA because I need this. Yeah, I need it in my life regularly, for sure. Loved this one. This was great. Yeah. Thank you so much, everyone, for tuning in. Please remember to like and subscribe, share with your loved ones, drop a comment in the comments.
