Dune and 40k | Warhammer Film Club
Dune (1984), Dir. David Lynch, writer David Lynch
Warhammer 40,000 creator Rick Priestley has cited Dune as a key inspiration for his incredible science fiction game, and in this podcast Jordan Sorcery and his greatest gaming friend Rob explore the inspiration and influence of that classic on one of Games Workshop's greatest games.
David Lynch's Dune was released in 1984, adapting the legendary sci-fi novel from Frank Herbert. In more recent times Denis Villeneuve has adapted the same story in a pair of big budget movies. In both adaptations the sense of scale and other worldly cultures are palpable, and the 40k of it all is right there on the screen!
