Welcome to Soul Talk for the Seekers podcast and channel. I'm Ashley Allen. And I'm Jacqueline Kaminsky. We're two intuitive soul sisters joined by synchronicity and spirit here to dig in. We want to invite you along on our journey where anything may come up, but if you consider yourself a seeker, you're in the right place.
Jaclyn:Hello, hello, hello, my friends. Today we are talking all about intention and how powerful our intentions are and when we actually consciously set our intentions. So we are going to be talking about how honestly it's transformative. It really is when we can align the energy of the universe with our intentions. So We are going to really just kind of talk about that today and how powerful it is. And I am going to start by saying, to me, intentions feel like the compass of our soul. Um, it really is giving direction to our energy, um, to our focus, to our thoughts. It's aligning our actions with truly what our deepest desires are is really the way, um, When we set an intention the way I see intention as, how do you really see it? I'd love to start with, I guess, what comes to you, um, about like intention.
Ashlie:So I think, I think intention gets thrown around a lot. Um, especially when you're in heated things or things where there's a lot of passion, a lot of emotion tied to it, and people will say, you know. Oh, their intention. That wasn't my intention. That wasn't my intention. I, when I think of intention, it is such an inner, an inner thing within us. Uh, something I would love to see that I think would be such a game changer for us as, you know, a community and as people, is if we were a little more outward with what our intentions were. Like, and I think it's funny, I like, this is an example, I think of it, it's kind of old and like, antiquated a little bit, but also there's a purity to it that I think is really cool. If you think of, you know, somebody wants to marry somebody else and they got to go to their parents and say what their intentions are, you know, um, but, but I think there, there's something to that. And, um, And I think that when you take the time before you do anything, especially when you're working with others, and let's face it every day in life, we're constantly working with others and say like, what are we trying to do together here? Like, what is our real purpose behind this? Because when you can put an intention behind things, then it can remove the act of just going through the motions. And that's what I think of when I think of intention is you're the more intentional you are. The less you feel like you're just going through the motions and it really helps to, I think, level set and up level everybody around you to go, yeah, no, we're not, we're not here to go through the motions. Like, that's not what we're here for. So that's what I think of as tensions. It's like this, it's this movable malleable thing that I think is on the underground way too often. And I think a lot of times we don't take the time to even sit back and think about what it is for us. I've had days where I wake up and I don't think about what my intention for the day is, and then I'm hurried and rushed the whole day, and then I wonder why I'm miserable by 3 o'clock. Well, guess how you woke up? Because your intention wasn't set. So then because you didn't set it, it was set for you. And so I think that's the second part of intention. If you don't set your intention, It will be set for you and that will just be about whatever's around you. And, um, when you set it, you get the chance to shift the compass, as you say.
Jaclyn:Yeah, you're right. Instead of letting the day run you, you're running the day, right? You're aligning with what it is you want that day. That is actually the first thing I do when I open my eyes. I'm not going to lie. It's actually the second thing I do. The first thing I do when I open my eyes is like, allow my heart and my body to speak to me and be like, what is it that you need today? But the second thing I do is I set my intention for what I want To feel in my day how I want my day to go like that is my non negotiable as soon as I open my eyes, but I love how you mentioned so I just want to take a step back, because it's so funny and like I love how you brought it into others. Um, and so I do that like in leading sessions, right? Like setting intentions, obviously group wise. However, now that you say that, do I necessarily set intention based in my day to day life with others? Probably not. I definitely do that with everything that I do, but I definitely don't do it with others. So I find that I'm going to try that. Let's just name that, right? Because I'm like, huh, now that you say that, do I do that? And I do in very spiritual type, right, like communities or when I'm working, but like in my day to day life, right, like I have a corporate gig. Do I do that? No. Do I, right, like in my family life, who is definitely Maybe not on my spiritual path with me. Do I do it with them? No. And why don't I, I should, so thank you. I'm going to name that.
Ashlie:You know what? I wonder, because as I was talking about it too, I was like evaluating the percentage in which I do it. Cause I was like, Oh, this is interesting. And I think that ideally I would do it all the time and I don't even, you know, I don't do it as often as I would like to. So let's, let me, let me, this is actually a wonderful lead in to what's coming when it comes to intention. So what Jack and I are going to do, we're going to do things a little different for the next couple of weeks. So I'm going to interview her on the top five things that she does with intention to shift life. And then she's going to interview me. Same thing. What are these top five things? So you'll get kind of Jack's take my take. And, um, and like completely, completely unleashed, uninhibited, like, what does that look like? And I think before we, as next week will be that those episodes where those episodes will begin, but maybe for the next week, this is a great challenge for everybody listening. Yes. I'm excited for this. I'm getting chills. Like, I'm actually very excited to do this. I'm doing this too. Like. What can I do to infuse intention into as much as possible? And oh my gosh, we, we have to do an episode of just what happened before we actually start these interviews, I think, because I'm going to just make note of all of it. And I challenge all of you that are listening to also make note of it and comment in what happens. Cause what could change for us?
Jaclyn:So powerful, right? Like I'm actually super excited to even be able to bring it more into, I'm going to be bringing it. I am very intentional with, like I said, with what I do. Yeah. But I'm not intentional with the right, like my relationships and my communication with others. And that's where I'm really going to focus it this next week. Um, to see the shifts And how powerful it will be because I already know how powerful it is right just setting that intention it's allowing, um, the universe right to know directly like, Exactly what, where the energy flow should go. So
Ashlie:this is going to be so powerful. I love this. Oh my God. I'm getting to, and I just had another thought before we closed. Cause I went, oh, I bet that's it. So when we talk about intentions being set for you, and then I think that's how people fall into saying things when they're with other people that they don't mean, or that it's not said in the way that they truly meant it it's because They're allowing the energy of whatever that group intention is to like, take hold. Right. They're like, Oh wait, I didn't actually mean that. And I wonder, I wonder, I'm thinking about that. I'm like, Oh, I bet that's how that happens.
Jaclyn:Yeah, I think we're gonna find a lot, um, out by that, because that is going to be something that we pro that probably reflects back to us.
Ashlie:A bird just hit my window, by the way, just so you know. I haven't had that happen, like In a while. Well, since the last time on the episode that it happened when we were talking That was the last time. That was the last time a bird's hit the window, yeah. Oh wow, so this is super powerful then. Oh my god, okay, I can't wait to hear about everything that you have happen. And I'm going out, I'm out of town, and I'm going to be with lots of clients, with A lot of my team, this is, Ooh, like this is really cool. Me too. I'm excited.
Jaclyn:Yeah. I have a lot of meetings set up, um, the next few days and I'm actually going away with, but I probably would do it with them anyway, with my, um, in-Laws for a concert this weekend. And every single one of them, they, they're used to my, like, let's, they love your stuff, let's do this intention. So they're, they're right on board with me, but. Um, I have tons of work stuff going this week that I am going to very much bring intention into it.
Ashlie:So I'm going to even take this as a little step further. So what is this? We want to call this like seven days of intention. Yeah. Seven days of intention and all. And let's like, if you get a chance post about stuff that happens, I'm going to do the same.
Jaclyn:Yeah. You can follow along on our journey of seven days of intention. We will. It'll be in my stories. Thanks. Yeah,
Ashlie:that's where I'll put mine too. I love
Jaclyn:that.
