Hey guys, alright, so I am traveling today. So if you hear any blinkers in the background or car noises, uh just know we are on the go recording our podcast today. But I want to talk about a subject that I don't really believe is talked about in depth in the church in the body of Christ. Um I think we just we have this um idea that it's just this one and done kind of thing, and we don't really dig much deeper into it. And that is the topic of confession and repentance, okay. Um so I want to go back to my story a little bit and just what God took me through. I remember um getting a word, you know, that I was God was taking me into a wilderness season. You know, this was back in uh 2020, 2021, and I had never heard of that, and I was like, I don't even know what that is, like, what does that even mean? Um and I just literally went into that, but this was a place where I began to sit with the Lord and just say, search me, oh God. It was a wilderness season where not where I literally just like didn't talk to anybody, you know, or didn't do anything or have any kind of um you know communication, but it was a time where I deliberately and specifically sat with the Lord for at least an hour or two every day, just allowing him to cleanse my heart, um, to cleanse my mind, to, you know, I I fasted a lot in that season to crucify my flesh and just really um worked hard on getting everything into alignment and obedience to the word of God and to Christ. And so during that season, I remember there were many different um things that I had done, you know, in my teenage years or um, you know, um my college days, things like that, that I remember God bringing back to my memory. And every time he would bring it back to my memory, I would be like, Why are you bringing this up? Like I don't understand, you know, when I was nine years old, I went to the altar, I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I I thought that was it. Like I thought that was all I had to do, and I was good. My my sins were you know completely cleansed, I was a new creation, you know, all the things that we're told and we uh see in the word of God and all of those things are true, but I want to I want to remind you that if you look all throughout the Bible, everything God does is a process, and it actually says that it's the Holy Spirit's job to bring us into the fullness of our salvation, okay? That's not the day that Jesus comes back, we all go to heaven. I think we get that kind of interpretation when we hear those types of sermons that you know the fullness of our salvation is gonna be when we um meet Jesus in the sky, you know, and we go to heaven. But I want to tell you that we can actually start that process now. We can actually start that process of healing and deliverance now here on earth, and we can actually begin to transform right here, right now, but it comes at a cost. It comes at a cost of learning how to sit at the feet of Jesus, it comes at a cost of saying, Search me, oh God. It comes at a cost of saying, Lord, yeah, wow, I remember when I did that, and I need to repent for that, Lord. Like, like we should be repenting on a daily basis, um, as the Holy Spirit brings things to our mind. It's not I re I remember sitting in my closet and when the Lord was like, I want to, I want you to let me cleanse you. And he began to like bring back memories of of just areas that I hadn't repented um of things that I had done that I hadn't repented of. You know, I just kind of stopped doing them and never really truly confessed. Um, I guess we could say I repented because true repentance is turning from your sins and not doing that same thing. But I don't believe that we preach enough the understanding of confession and the power behind confession. Because this is what I believe most believers do. I believe that they go to church and you know they repent for their sins, and you know, um, the preacher tells them you're good, you know, the blood covers it. Jesus paid the price on the cross, which he absolutely did, and the blood does cover it. But I don't believe that we preach enough about confession because confession takes it to a different level. Yes, it is wiped clean, yes, it is thrown into the sea of forgetfulness, and God doesn't remember it anymore when he looks at you, he only sees the blood of Jesus. But what confession does is confession actually removes the legal right of the enemy. Okay, it actually closes the door that you gave the enemy the key to. So um today, my family we were um at a mall out of town, and I walked in this mall, and we were just literally in the closed section, and all of a sudden I look over and I see this our old, really, really old arcade um fortune-telling machine, and I thought, wow, that is so crazy because I remember when I was a kid, we would go um to the beach. My dad was um he was very spontaneous with our trips, he would surprise us, um, which is has been really helpful for me uh now in ministry when the Lord asked me to go do something and I don't have the full understanding of. But my dad, when we were kids, he would just say, Pack your bags, load up in the car, we're going on a trip. And we would be like, Where are we going? And he'd say, I'm not telling you, you know, you'll see when we get there. And my dad never had a hotel booked, you know. Back then you could actually just like go drive and just get a hotel, you didn't have to book it and all the things like you have to do these days. But I remember as a kid, there was one place we would go to um at the beach, and we would always go to this one arcade place, and I remember when I saw that machine, I re I remembered when I was a child and how I used to do all of the arcades, and I remember there being one where like um I vaguely remember it, but I believe it was like you put your hand on some kind of ball and it like did this like electricity type stuff or whatever, and the the voice or the the woman inside the machine would like you know tell you your fortune or whatever. And so I have repented of this before, but today as I saw that machine, I just remembered that. And I was and the Lord just began speaking to me about how many believers and Christians we don't understand the power in confessing um all of our sins. You know, I think we go to the altar and we just think that um it's just like a one and done kind of blanket cover over all of them. Um, but actually, we need to spend time at the feet of Jesus. We need to allow him to search our our heart because there are places where the enemy actually still has an open door that has never been shut um through confession, and he still can come in and out of it. He may not have as much access because of, you know, maybe you're walking different than you used to walk back then when you did a lot of things that were very sinful. Um, you know, maybe you've turned your life around and you've done other things, but I will tell you that you need to take time and sit with the Lord and actually allow him to remind you of some of the areas that you still might have cracks in your um in your wall, you know, your spiritual wall that protects you from the enemy. You might still have some cracks or some holes or some doors open or maybe some windows open that you're just experiencing unnecessary warfare. It's actually warfare that um lately I've I've just heard the Holy Spirit telling me, like, um command all the demons to leave that don't have legal access. In other words, legal access is where you specifically have opened the door knowingly, and you didn't listen to the Holy Spirit. You you bypassed the prompting and you, you know, you did whatever he was telling you not to do anyway. Um, you acted from a place of rebellion to the Holy Spirit, and so you legally opened up access to Satan. You said, I want to ignore, I mean, this isn't what you really said, but this is what happened in the spiritual realm, is basically you said, No, I'm not choosing the Holy to do what God says and and try and do what the Holy Spirit's telling me right now. I'm gonna actually choose to serve my flesh, and I'm gonna actually do um the sin. That could be anything, okay? Whatever it is for you. Um, there are obviously uh, you know, personal, I mean, obviously there's clear things that we know we should not do in the Bible, but then again, there are areas where you know, you know, maybe I'm more tempted tempted than you are, you may be more tempted in certain areas than I am. Like for say uh somebody who's who you know smokes cocaine, like I've never done that, and that's not like um that's not like something the enemy will really use to try to get me to sin because it's it's not a stronghold in my life, okay? So it's not really gonna work on me because I would I would be like, really, no, absolutely not. And he knows that, and so he's not gonna try to get me to do that, to cause me to sin, because it's really not a stronghold in my life, it's not something I ever um opened up the door to, it's so it's not something that I ever partook in. And so he doesn't really use that. That's what I mean when I say different people might be tempted with different things, you know, that maybe someone else wouldn't be tempted with. So we have to um actually this is the thing though. I remember when I was going through this process with the Lord, and I thought, good gracious Lord, there's no way. Like I got kind of discouraged because I was like, God, there's no way I can sit down and go through all of the areas I sinned over the last 40 years. Like, like, Lord, that would take forever. Like, that's crazy. And so I I kind of got overwhelmed, and the Holy Spirit just reassured me. He was like, No, he said, I want as I bring them up, as I as I bring them back to your memory, like it's not for condemnation, it's not to shame you. Um, and I know many people will say, Oh, well, you know, God doesn't do that, he doesn't bring up, you know, old memories, you know, that's what the devil does. Now, if the memory comes back to you and you feel shame, guilt, condemnation, then that's the enemy bringing it up, okay? It's something that's already been forgiven, and it's the enemy bringing it up. But when you actually are um intentionally sitting with the Lord, and you're actually intentionally sitting with the Holy Spirit, and you're saying, Hey, search me. Is there any area where the devil has a door, has a window, has a crack that he is getting through that I need to seal up more or better or at a deeper level, or maybe I need to confess at a in a deeper way. You know, sometimes we just go to the altar and we confess to God and that seals it up and it's fun. Um maybe there's the times where, you know, a scripture, you know, is highlighted to you and you get a little bit of um some conviction and you repent for that and it's good. But then there's other times where he's like, Hey, I need you to actually confess this to somebody. Like, I need you to actually tell somebody because telling somebody, this one takes that strength of confession. And so we have to be willing to say, okay, yeah, I will do whatever it takes and I'll pay the price to seal the crack, to seal the wall, to s to shut the window, you know, shut the door, whatever it is. Um, and so we have to do that, but don't get overwhelmed with confession. A lot of your confession you can do with just you and the Lord, okay, and the Holy Spirit, if He prompts you to share with, you know, maybe somebody or that you trust or, you know, whoever it is, okay. Um, it might just be your spouse that already really knows that, but maybe you just want to say, hey, I just am acting out, you know, confession and obedience to God to really just get this door closed in my life. And so I just need to say this out loud, you know, and you can just confess it to your spouse. Um I've I've even just told my kids sometimes like some of the things like, you know, hey, yeah, when I was, you know, this age, I I stole one time, you know, or whatever. Like, you know, it's okay to just it's not really about like it's just about literally verbally confessing it, and that is what breaks um that legal right to the enemy to have access in that area. Um, because he says that everything will be exposed, and a lot of things we can expose on our own, um, and they'll be taken care of. And we will see the warfare and the attacks of the enemy, we'll see all of that stuff go away if we will actually just sit at the feet of Jesus and allow him to cleanse us in this way. So don't get overwhelmed when you begin to do this process with the Lord of actually confessing and allowing him to bring back memories of areas that you need to verbally confess, okay? And you need to say, I renounce that. Lord, forgive me for doing that. Um, and I renounce that legal contract that I gave to the enemy to have access in my life in this area, and um, that will actually um destroy that contract that the devil has against you, and he actually can't touch you in that area of your life anymore, okay. Um, so but but I want to say, I want to say this because don't get overwhelmed. Allow the Holy Spirit to bring it up, okay? Don't go searching and don't go searching your own heart and trying to heal your own self and deliver your own self, you know. Just allow the Holy Spirit to bring it up. If you're just driving down the road and then you just remember this random memory, say, God, what are you saying? God, why are you bringing this up? Why am I remembering this? Holy Spirit, what do I do with this? I promise you, He will tell you. But the thing is, is just don't be in such a rush, you know, to get healed and delivered. Just let the Holy Spirit, let the healer and the the deliverer heal you and deliver you, and let him do it in his timing, okay? Submit to the timing because that's where I um got overwhelmed was I wanted to get it done quick. I wanted to, you know, get all this done. I just wanted to be done with it all. And so I began to just strive in that area, and he was like, Stop it, you know, stop it, because he's gonna bring up the roots of the places, okay? So there will be like say, like the first time you maybe ever did this one thing, and then it became a pattern throughout your life, he doesn't really care about the rest of the pattern, he's just gonna bring up the root, okay? So, like maybe you did something when you were 13 or 14 years old, and that was the first time you ever did it. That's gonna be the root, okay. He doesn't care about all the other times that you did it because once that root is dealt with, and once that door that was opened at the root is closed in the spiritual realm to the enemy, then it's sealed and it's done and it is finished, just like Jesus said on the cross, okay? But I want to encourage you to take time and actually repent for all of your sins, repent for each individual sin. I know that sounds like a lot, but don't let it overwhelm you. It's a beautiful healing and deliverance process with the Lord. Um, when you go to your prayer time, when you're reading your Bible, just just be available and just say, God, if if there's anything that I need to specifically repent of, can you please bring it to my awareness? And I promise you that He will. So as I um saw that, you know, fortune teller today, I I went into asking the Lord, like, do I need to go back and repent at a deeper level for that? Like, you know, and he really just began to draw my heart in um talking to people about, you know, even the little fortune tellers at the arcade, or maybe you had an eight ball, maybe you had a a Ouija board when you were a little kid. Um, you know, maybe you just picked up some uh tarot cards, you know, and you you bought a pack of them, but you never really looked at them, but you bought the pack. That is still partnering with it, okay? So you just have to go back and just repent for all of those little things. Um and and I promise you, you will see a lot of freedom in your life. You will begin to see your health change, you'll begin to see your mental state change, you'll begin to see your um your focus change. All of those things, I promise you, will get so much sharper, your discernment will get sharper. Um you will begin to dream, you will be able to hear God's voice in a way that you've never heard him before, and in such a multifaceted way, when you begin to close down all of these open doors, all of these um windows, all of these cracks where the enemy has has a hand and a voice in your life. And um, I promise you, you will see great freedom. If you need help, if you need help, if you need somebody to confess to, because you don't trust anybody, okay, to to tell your deep dark secrets to, that's okay. Send us an email. Um, I've had many people actually do that, and I can't tell you the amount of freedom that people walk in now just because they simply confess through an email some deep dark things that they didn't even want to tell their own pastor, okay? That's what we're here for. That's what our ministry is here for. We're just here for your freedom, okay? There's no shame and condemnation in what you did. I understand that everyone is human and that there are spirits that uh influence people to do things that they don't even personally want to do. And so I understand the spiritual realm and the war that you fight, that you don't even probably know that you fight sometimes. Um, and then also I do understand the flesh. Okay. So again, no shame, no guilt, no condemnation. If you want to reach out to us and um use you know our email address as a confession, I will personally write you back. All of those emails come to me on a personal level, um, and I do answer those personally. So guys, I just encourage you. Let's make repenting and confessing a daily activity like prayer, fasting, repentance, and confession. That should be a daily lifestyle for the the the Christian and the believer, okay. Um I also want to say that yeah, it sounds like that's it. It's pretty much cut it off there. Um, so thank you guys. All right, that was the commission that Jesus gave, he gave it to all, all right. So that gives you an entire year to prepare your time off at work, to prepare financially, to prepare spiritually, to prepare physically, all of the things you have an entire year to prepare for that trip to Africa in June 2027 on our website at global footprints ministries.com. We're gonna have a night where we get on a zoom call and we just let people ask questions and we tell people more about the trip, and um a video, your video will be required for that call. Okay, so make sure that you have um a device that your video will work, we will be able to see your face. That is required. Um, and we will do that on August the 16th.
