Heritage of U.S. - A US History Podcast
December 7, 1941
Much has been written about the attack on Pearl Harbor by Japan since it was THE event that pulled us into the greatest war in history. There have also been many theories offered as to why we were so surprised instead of being prepared. We will briefly go over the key events of that day, as well as the impact it had on all Americans. Ultimately it was a tremendous miscalculation by Japan and would indeed “awaken a sleeping giant.”
If you want to have a fuller background to the material in our series, please consider purchasing the workbook I wrote for my high school history classes, Modern United States History, published by Canon Press, in Moscow, Idaho. But whether you get the workbook or just listen, I think you will enjoy the stories and hopefully gain some insights into U.S. history, which is indeed His story!
Thanks for listening - Tom Garfield
