Heritage of U.S. - A US History Podcast

The Homefront and the Holocaust

Season 1 Episode 26

Text us your questions!

In addition to fighting successfully in battle after battle, the United States out-produced its enemies, to the point of not only supplying our troops, but supplying our allies as well. The Homefront in WWII was unlike any other effort we had united to do in our history. In spite of FDR’s often unwise and burdensome decisions, the overall result was amazing due to our industries and average citizen’s commitments. We will also briefly consider the hellish purposes of Hitler’s genocide attempts to wipe out the Jewish people. “Briefly” because it is virtually impossible to adequately ponder its cost and evil aspects.

If you want to have a fuller background to the material in our series, please consider purchasing the workbook I wrote for my high school history classes, Modern United States History, published by Canon Press, in Moscow, Idaho. But whether you get the workbook or just listen, I think you will enjoy the stories and hopefully gain some insights into U.S. history, which is indeed His story!
